Hello everyone, I got this idea a while back. I was thinking that we should combine Civilization 3 and Nationstates. They both are meant to be together, if you think about it. This is how I figure it would work:
I would create a map with all the cities and infrastructure set up. Then I would start a PBEM game with 8 people or so. Each nation would get a civilization on the map. Each nation would be around the same size while also getting a custom choice like if they want to be landlocked or an island. Once all this is figured out, we would start the game. In the first 10 turns, we aren't allowed to declare war. We can just build up our militaries, buildings, and such. During this ten period time you could form trade alliances, military alliances and pacts. But this is where NS comes in. Whatever you do in the game, you would RP in Nationstates. Say for example you start a discussion with one of the leaders in Civ3. You would come to NS and RP that like you would normally do it. This way we can add the fun of both into one.
But the real fun will come when we do wars. You will do your turns in the game and then RP what you did in the normal fashion here. For example, if your mechanized infantry attacked a tank on a mountain, you would RP it. But that great thing is, you would figure out who would win the battle in Civ3 so there isn't any godmodding or debating going around. Its ensure to be smooth.
To keep this RP running, I will create a forum where we will do all the RPing off-site, instead of clustering poor II. :)
Here's the requirements:
1) You must be a good RPer. I will not accept bad RPers in this game.
2) You must be reliable. You can't hold on a save for more than 24 hours unless you state so or have an emergency. If you don't, we will find a replacement for you.
3) A maximum of 8 people will be aloud, though I will make each game have only 4 players so the games run smoothly. I will, though, setup a number of games so everyone can play who meets the requirements.
4) You must have Civilization 3: Conquest expansion pact too. Update to the latest patch 1.22f.
If you meet these three requirements then just post here if your interested. I will take questions of course. When I get enough people, I will create the forum and post it in the thread. So start joining. Its sure to be a blast ;)
