OOC: I think these are as valid reasons as any for a good war, so lets get started. I couldn't think of a better excuse if i tried; psychotic religious dictator exchanging his oppressed populace for nuclear weapons, which he intends to use to 'purge' his own people. Gotta give Xirnium credit for that one.
Intro/Sign-up Thread (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=447202)
All you'll ever need to know about my military is here. (http://honiralpa.myfreeforum.org/ftopic7.php)

IC:

On-screen orders were relayed to every Concremian Soldier in Infantry Legions I, II, III and IV. They were to secure the Capital and pave the way for armoured support, while the Navy did its best to clear the docks. Legion I would be parachuted in, while the others would board transports and land once a beach had been secured. Air cover would be provided by the 50 long-range bombers in Air Wing IV, until an airfield could be secured to get the rest of them in.

Their job was to free the people that were oppressed here, and prevent the Dictator from turning his nuclear stockpile on other nations. So far many had spoken out about the means of his aquiring of such weapons, and now they were taking action.

As the Soldiers marched in perfect formation towards the waiting VTOLs and Transport Planes, it began to rain. Only a light drizzle, but it showed no signs of stopping. The marching of steel-capped boots on the tarmac was in unison as the last few squads were loaded up. No expense was spared, huge VTOLs carried the materials and personnel to set up bases, while the whole of Air Wing IV would escort them to the Drop-Zone.

"Get the bombers to take off now, do a fly-by and see what air defenses are in place."

It was mid-afternoon within the Empire but the light of day, was still fairly bright. After a day of negotiations and then a tour of his ship, Supreme Commander Dagon had been given the order to take a force to Xirnium and protect it from attacks.
So now after more than two weeks in port for upgrades, the IYS Bloodthirster finally slid out of port to meet up with 15 Imperial Battlegroups. Assembling far off the coast, the fleet was expected to arrive at Xirnium in less than seven hours.

Official communiqué to the Nation of Xirnium:

The Incorporated states of Befuzinias (ISB) board of directors have decided to offer the Nation of Xirnium the opportunity to take part in a large scale evaluation test of ISB latest combat enhancing soft drink: Befu Cola - The Kicking Ass Edition. This new product is currently on display at the Merkar Weapons show (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=447059).

The ISB offers the Nation of Xirnium an UNLIMITED amount of Befu Cola – Kicking Ass Edition for as long as the predicted conflict may endure. The ISB has only one demand, which is that ISB “advisors” are to oversee the distribution of Befu Cola and to be allowed to accumulate research data from the use of Befu Cola. This accumulation process would take form of blood samples, autopsies and (but not limited to) vivisection at the ISB advisors discretion.

OOC: This a repost in case haven't seen it yet.

There was a mist that enveloped Birmingham at moments like these. The King scratched his nose and looked over this whole damned situation. They'd been approached and offered something grand. A way to cement their partnership with Concremo and eventually make some form of compensation for those who may die in the coming conflict. Kellin mulled this over for one or two more moment before nodding towards Grand Warmonger O'Brien. He in turn nodded and exited quickly.

All across the Imperial Republic Sawneys were mobilized. They cast aside their own understanding of humanity and stepped forward like the bastards they were. The Dalcassian Sawneys were the first out the door and ready for battle. After them came the Mexican Sawneys who formed up. The Carribbean, Scottish (pure-blood Sawneys are spooky), and eventually even the Irish Sawneys had all formed around the area of Alabama. They all waited and formed into their normal operating size. Packs of one-hundred and fifty or so Sawneys. All of them hungry. All of them ready for battle. The Dalcassians put forth twelve hundred. Mexico three-thousand, Carribbean four hundred, Irish and Scottish Sawneys totaled fourteen-hundred. Six thousand hungry cannibals stood waiting. In fourty operational groups. They'd all descend upon the enemy and feast off their folk. They'd need water though. So the O'Brien clan would run logistics and water trasport. Eveyone operated under the assumption that Sawneys could find their own food.

OOC: Here's a link to a thing on Sawneys.

Kahanistan
01-10-2005, 21:51
On the border of Xirnium, forty non-descript trucks stopped at the checkpoint. Uniformed and armed Kahanistan Imperial Marines stepped out of ten of them. The other thirty contained the disassembled warheads and instructions on reassembly.

Colonel Rachel C. Levitt, the commander of the detachment, handed her ID to the border guard. "We're here to deliver the weapons," she said. "Now where are the 300,000 citizens we were promised?"

Meanwhile, the 20 fighters Kahanistan had pledged to "mop up" survivors of the expected nuclear disaster soared overhead.

The border guard radioed his commander. "Major, where are the citizens?" Then, "They should be here within 2 hours."

The frontier guard examines the missiles.

'Why are these disassembled? The God-Emperor did not say anything about that. I'm afraid that the products will remain inside Xirnium until our scientist-priests have determined that the weapons work and are not cursed or treacherous.'

The Kahanistanian begins to protest.

The Zirnium border guard interupts, 'Sir, I'm afraid that is how it will have to be. It is blasphemous to disobey the words of our God. It's just not worth my soul, for you to take the shipments until I receive the edict from higher up.'

Colonel Levitt groans. "Sir? SIR?! Do you not see these?" she asks, holding her rifle against her 36D breasts. The guard opens his mouth to protest before a disruptor blast melts his head. The marines pour out, take the body, and stuff it into Levitt's truck before it's spotted. She radios Lt. Colonel Nadia L. Sklenova, commander of the Air Force detachment, asking for support.

"Colonel Sklenova, do you copy? We've had trouble with Customs. Scope out the civilians, locate them and give me their coordinates."

"Yes, Colonel Levitt. We'll find the refugees and get them out of here."

Meanwhile, the other 19 planes, instead of bombing the survivors of the nuclear attacks, are instead dropping spies disguised as civilians and armed with MP-38 phaser rifles. Their orders are to form partisan cells within Xirnium and to locate the nuclear silos. Some have already fired, and are being fired upon by elements of the Kahanistan Air Force, the MH-181 fighters. Others are currently arming as the Mukhabarat al-Kahanistan, the Intelligence Service, hunts for them frantically.

Colonel Levitt takes the border guard's radio. The Xirnium commander will undoubtedly radio sometime soon. She hopes she can keep him fooled long enough to get the refugees before the Xirnium commander figures out that she's just killed a border guard.

100 Nm off the coast of Xirnium

Traveling all through the night at full speed, the six hundred ships of the Imperial Fleet had finally arrived at Xirnium. While arrangements had been made to allow several nations to launch an invasion for the purposes of removing the ‘God-Emperor’, no servant of the Kraven Corporation would be allowed past the waiting Fleet.

On the Imperial Flagship, Supreme Commander Dagon, activated his comm. link.

“All ships standby. No not fire unless I give the order”.
Xirnium
02-10-2005, 03:18
'Put your backs into it you filthy dogs!' the Commissar snarled as spittle flew from his mouth, his cruelly scarred face made even uglier by the anger that contorted it, ‘the God-Emperor accepts no failure and neither do I!’ he fired a burst of machinegun fire into the air.

The Commissar was furious. Foul heathens, witches and heretics from far away lands had come to spread their corruption amongst the God-Emperor’s holy realm, and he was bound by covenant to stop them. Across the paved street of the city his troops toiled with primitive implements like pickaxes and shovels to build a 9-foot deep trench, a means of which to stop the foul demons who were even now approaching.

Some distance away a nameless soldier dug furiously. He was frightened of the coming demons but even more so of the horror that his cruel God or the Commissars would inflict on him if he failed, if he fell out of line. He had heard that these troops of evil had amassed a truly wondrous army, but he was not scared. While he had faith and love in the most beneficent God-Emperor no harm could come to him, even from the most Satanic of the enemy’s war tanks.

The Colonel-General, standing next to the commissar, surveyed the scene, his long leather trench coat almost touching the ground. His right hand holding a heavy assualt rifle, the General was grim, knowing that his only hope was to fight fiercely for the God-Emperor. If he failed his terrible God, who was merciful and vengeful, would smite him terribly. Xirnium had mobilized fully for war. At arms were approximately 1.8 million soldiers, mostly equipped with submachine guns. He knew they would fight fanatically, now that the foul heretics were attempting to assault the bastion of their most noble God. The Xirniumites would fight an urban campaign throughout the heavily industrialized cities of Xirnium. Each single apartment and factory would be fortified. Every single block would contain death in the form of anti-tank weaponry and dug in armoured vehicles for the approaching blasphemous tanks. With the glowing light of faith in their heart, how could they fail their omnipotent God-Emperor.

Official Ecclesiastical Edict on Behalf of His Lord God-Emperor Quikzos IV, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven,

Xirnium vehemently denounces the warmongers who come to make war with Holy Xirnium and its God-Emperor Quikzos IV the Almighty. Xirnium has not shown any aggression to these nations and the acts of war are both sinful and illegal. Xirnium calls on all nations who respect international law and the sovereignty of nations to condemn these foul heathens, and to join in the brotherly ranks of the Xirniumites who fight against this heathen imperialism.

Xirnium further notes it is currently in possession of 18 fully functional nuclear devices that will be used to extract devine retribution on any who attempt to besmirch the land of the God-Emperor.

Glory to the God-Emperor,

The Xirniumite commander, Inquisitor Yarrik, calls over the radio, 'Report!' he growls. Large numbers of troops have been deployed to the area. All civilians have been armed in "special detachments" to resit Kahanistan attempts to abduct them and take them to the foul lands of hell and have been placed under close Commisar guard to improve their morale and faith in deliverance via their Lord God-Emperor, Qukzos IV. The civilans believe that the Kahanistanians are witches and demons come to take them away to hell, and will fight ferociously and sell their lives dearly rather than go captive and be damned for eternity by their terrible Lord.

Official Ecclesiastical Edict to the Xirnium popultation,

The Lord God-Emperor of Xirnium, Quikzos IV, the alpha and the omega, declares a state of war. All Xirniumites, whether soldiers or civilians, are ordered to resist with fanatical bravery the witch, the heretic, the false prophet, the blasphemer and the heathen. All who fall in this mighty endevour for the defence of their God will never die, but find eternal love in the terrible God-Emperor, Quikzos IV's, the most devine and omnipotent, merciful radiance.

Those that fail to sacrifice themselves in the service of their God-Emperor will face eternal torment as the all-forgiving God condemns them to the realm of evil, where demons shall eat them and fire burn them.

Do not fear the satanic servants of the enemy, for the most beneficient God-Emperor has 18 nuclear devices to exact terrible retirubtion on the enemy, and deliver from evil those Zirniumites, unworthy though they are, who repent and have faith in their Lord.

Venerate the Immortal God-Emperor!

OOC: I think its PMT. Spaceships are FT, though...

IC: The Shark bulk transports and Cougar Transport submarines slippe gracefully through the waters of Xirnium, escorted by Stalker destroyers and Hunter cruisers. Small patrol boats darted in and out of the larger ships, and two Leviathen aircraft carriers drifted in the rear.
Next to the sleek, steamlined Nistolonian fleet came the bulky, slow ships of Sollion; Drake Battleships and Demon Troopships that bristled weapons.

The Xirnium coast loomed up, its troops running to defensive postitions.
Commander Althear turned to an aide, who was watching the fortifications through binoculars.
"It has begun."

OOC2:

Nistolonia
400 N'vesa (10,000 Soldiers per N'vesa) of Light Infantry
1 N'vesa of Black Dragon Special Forces
1500 Shark bulk transports
500 Cougar tranport submarines
10 Naval Battlegroups
Solliom
6000 Battalions (1,000 men per battalion)
3 battalions of Hunter-Killer special forces
12 Naval Battlegroups.
2000 Drakon Transports.

Since theirs no way that I can land all that on an enemy beach, only 2 N'vesa and 100 Battalions are attempting landing as of right now.

The Beach would be perfect for invasion, therefore it was heavily fortified. Massive concrete-steel bunkers housed huge artillery pieces, both on the beach and further back inland out of range of the warships. Innumerable machinegun nests and mortar pits doted the high-ground of the beaches.

Line after line of concrete reiforced trenches insured any attempt to take the beach would be a blood bath, even if completely obliterated the troops themselves in the super-reinforced bunkers beneath would be able to exit them and man the shattered remains.

The beaches and coast themselves were heavily mined, offering an impressive obstacle. Commisar Dagoth sat in his trench, observing the invasion fleet even as the shore batteries began to open up with their awesom guns. Thousands of his suicidally loyal troops stood at the ready, praying for deliverance and preparing to die for the God-Emperor. Let them come... he thought to himself. They will find only death.

News from The Incorporated states of Befuzinia brought to you by ISB News – What you need to know…

Ms Elsa Dryyg summarizing “the project for humanitarian aid” press conference.

The ISB “Soft drinks division” announced today the “Project for humanitarian aid” by beginning shipping vast amount of Befu Cola – Kicking Ass Edition to the Nation of Xirnium in an effort to alleviate the hardships of said nation’s civilian population.
“This new project will with out doubt create more jobs in the near future as we must do our best to support the Xirnium people in its time of need” says Herbert von Mangele, Befu Cola spokesperson. On the question why the “bureau of mind alteration and happiness” are to manage the projects activities in Xirnium von Mangelse gave the following explanation.
“The ISB is committed to this project and all of the subsidiaries are working together on this on, and what better people to let manage this project then the fine people of the bureau of happiness? They are simply the most qualified to bring happiness to the suffering population of Xirnium”.

ISB brings hope to the beleaguered citizens of Xirnium

Mr Dalig Lognare reports live from a harbour somewhere in Befuzinia…

“As you can see behind me the ISB shipping personnel are working tirelessly to prepare the latest shipment to Xirnum. As a complement to the established air bridge to Xirnium a convoy system has been created as to make sure that the Xirnium women and children get the basic necessities they need to survive this unprovoked aggression. As of yet the international response to the crisis in Xirnium has been minimal but as we can see here at least one nation has the decency to stand up to the task to help a people in their time of need!”

Lt. Colonel Sklenova landed her MH-181 at the border where the initial skirmish took place between Kahanistan Imperial Marines and border guards. She addressed Colonel Levitt, the officer whose short temper had led her to kill one of the guards. The Imperial Marines were now arming themselves for battle.

"Colonel, bad news," she said. "The Xirniumites are becoming more hostile, they must have found out something that our government wasn't letting on about."

"Yeah, probably," replied Colonel Levitt. "One of those border guards called me 'sir' and assumed that because the weapons were disassembled for transport that we were probably going to backstab them and I blew his face off."

"You WHAT?" she asked. "They'll probably court martial you for that, you were under orders to play it cool! You at least had the good sense to hide the body. PLEASE tell me you at least hid the body."

"Of course I hid it, Nadia, I'm not stupid," Levitt snapped. "Our subhuman is laying on the floor in the back of that missile truck. What have you found out?"

"I just told you, they're becoming hostile, they know we've deceived them. I saw an armored column heading this way, I just saw a glimpse of them from the air, but I'd have to guess at least 200 tanks and 5,000 infantry. How many troops do you have?"

Colonel Levitt counted on her fingers. "Let's see, 10 trucks with Marines in them, I'd have to say about 500, plus the crew of your fighter and the truck drivers of the 30 missile trucks, I'd say we had 532 troops."

Lt. Colonel Sklenova groaned. "We don't stand a chance here. I'll radio our coordinates to our reinforcements in Kahanistan, they should get here in about 24 hours though. In the meantime we should head outside the border, hopefully we can link up with the Kahanistan and Allied troops before we get surrounded and killed. See if you can get out a distress call."

In Kahanistan, at the Command Center in Kahanistan's western regions

General Feodor Kalazanov paced in his office. A knock came at his door. "Enter!" he barked. Brigadier General Hamed al-Kareem bin Mohammed entered. "Sir! A distress call from the Marines escorting the weapons to Xirnium is coming through."

"Route it to my office," said Kalazanov.

"Yes, Sir!" replied Bin Mohammed.

Kalazanov opened his computer. The distress call came in. "This is Lt. Colonel Nadia Sklenova, Kahanistan Republic Guards. The Xirniumites are aware of our deception in order to obtain refugees, and we fear they may be attacking within a matter of hours. They have armor. Colonel Levitt, the commander of the Marine detachment, wants to stand and fight, despite being outnumbered at least 10 to 1. I've at least persuaded her to wait on the other side of the border, but there's no guarantee that the troops won't attack there. My fighter is the only air support we have, and we have no armored vehicles, just transport trucks. Colonel Levitt is rigging them to explode if a Xirnium soldier breaks into them, but she doesn't have enough C-420 to booby trap more than 15 of them. We require support in whatever form we can get, airships, walkers, whatever you can spare. Colonel Sklenova out."

Kalazanov groaned. It was just like Levitt to bite off more than she could chew. She had always been more aggressive than most male officers, being nicknamed 'Lara Croft' after an ancient story about a female tomb raider. He should never have trusted her with convoy duty. Now 500 Imperial Marines would die for that lack of judgment. Well, not if he could help it. Levitt would just have to hold out for 24 hours in open fields against forces that outnumbered her more than 10 to 1. He called in General Bin Mohammed again.

"General, I need you to help one of our stranded officers. She's 24 hours away at the Xirnium border. She has 500 Marines against thousands of religious fanatics. You will have 2400 MK-86 Walkers. They may be inferior to the MK-88, but they're faster. You may be able to get to her in 16 if you hurry. I will take a division of 60,000 Republic Guards by airship personally. Most of them will have MK-88's. We cannot let whatever Colonel Levitt may have learned be taken away."

The two generals shook hands and parted. Both men knew there was a good chance this would be the last time they would see each other.

The fleet hung back, as minesweepers (Remote controlled) darted about in front, clearing the huge fields of explosives in front of them. Several had been hit by incoming fire, and lay wrecked in the shallows.

The rest of the fleet pulled back, and watchers on the decks marked targets for the bombardment. Occasinaly, a shell would land nearby, showering the ships with water. A patrol boat was hit, and bits of burning boat were scattered about.

Below, Nistolonians ran to firing rooms, loading AGS rounds into firing chambers. The precision weapons turned towards their targets.

"This is spotter one, artillery postions Alwea through Dethra marked for missile strike."

The leopard missile subs rose out of the water about 70 kilometers back. Captian Althear nodded to Leutenant B'felin, you lifted his comm unit.
"Open Fire!"

The missile subs fired first, and the fang missiles streaked across towards the artillery positions. As they hit, the AGS fired at their designated targets. The beach exploded in flame and clouds of sand. More shells rained down.
"Fire toxin shells!"
The 20 Stalkers loaded with bio-chemical weapons turned theor AGSs towards shore.Their shells were loaded with varius toxic diseases and chemicals, most of which killed their targets in horrible bloody ways. The beach, which was once light sandy yellow, was now shrouded in pale green mist. The smell of dead fish permiated the area, and the spotters could make out huge amounts of them washing up on shore. Up and down the fleet, Nistolonians were pulling on their sealed helmets as the gasses wafted around. The next wave of missiles left a huge smoke screen, masking the entire beach in black smoke.
The bombardment continued.

Nistolonian bombardment was immence. Many of the lesser reinforced structures collapsed under its strength, the ground was strewn with the corpses of men who had not put on gas masks in time.

Commisar Ugleth stood in his trench, shells exploding all around him. As two of the soldiers next to him lost their nerve and tried to flee he mercilessly gunned them down. Everyone will do their duty... he thought, as the rest of the men nervously eyed these two traitors.

Along the system of reinforced plazsteel tunnels hordes of reinforcements came and occupied the shattered trenches. These trenches, absorbing hit after hit of naval bombardment yet remaining largely intact, went down a good deal towards the sea. Not so well were the concrete bunkers. While the mightiest had shrugged of the bombardment with relative ease the smaller ones had been obliterated. Commisar Ugleth had ordered groups of men to go to their ruins, setting up new machinegun posts in what remained of them.

Casualties ever mounted but the Xirniumites replaced them. Commisar Ugleth, surveying the carnage, wondered how long the bombardment would last.

Just as the sun began to rise an almighty artillery bombardment of the Kahanistanian positions began. It lasted perhaps 20 minutes, and was carried out by almost a thousand heavy calibre guns. No sooner had it stopped then the first Xirniumites came through the mist. These were not the typical conscripted Xirniumites of the armed forces, formidible though those troops were. These were the Zealots, the elite armoured troops of the God-Emperor. The heavy tanks surged forward, deploying smoke canisters to partially conceal their advance. They fired heavy rounds into the Kahanistanian defenders. In their wake came the deadly shock-troops of Xirnium, equiped with gasmasks, rocket launchers and automatic weapons and ready to deal with any anti-tank infantry.

'Glory to the God-Emperor!' their leader screamed.

Imperial Broadcast to all Nations

The nation of Xirnium is now a protectorate state and sovereign territory of the Infinite Empire. ANY hostile actions taken against the above mentioned land will be considered an act of war against the Empire of Yallak and it’s allies – and as such will be deal with swiftly and harshly.
We request that you stand down all forces attacking Xirnium immediately. This is the only warning you will receive.

If you choose to ignore this and continue to progress upon the killing of Xirnium civilians, I promise that you will not survive the day.

Off the cost of Xirnium

The Imperial fleet sat motionless where it had since it’s arrival the day before, but now it began to come alive. The massive 26” guns of the Karak class Battleships swung around to face their new targets – any Nistolonian vessel in Xirnium waters.

The very flagship of the Imperial Navy was present and on the bridge, Dagon sent a transmission to the Nistolonian’s. It would be their only warning.

“Attention armed vessels in Imperial waters – this is Supreme Commander Dagon of the Imperial Navy of Yallak. Stand down hostilities and return to your own nation or I will be forced to open fire upon you.”

As the transmission ended, even more guns and missile launchers had begun tracking the Nistolonians. Dagon looked out upon their small fleet. He knew his ship probably weighed more than their entire fleet put together and he knew that they would not survive if they refused legal and very clear request.

The Xirniumite Zealot troops charged into the Kahanistan defenses. They passed the seemingly abandoned transports, concentrating on the Kahanistan troops, of whom only 159 were left of the 532. Colonel Levitt looked at the forces, waiting for them to close in on her.

"Five... four... three... two... one... NOW!" She hit the remote that detonated the 15 trucks she had managed to pack with C-420. The fireballs engulfed several of the tanks. Gas masks melted on the faces of any infantry that were nearby. The Xirniumites' gas masks were worthless, as the Kahanistan forces did not use chemical weapons. Colonel Sklenova's fighter fired on any artillery and tanks she could spot, but her disruptors ran out after a few minutes. She grimaced, then set her plane on autopilot for a kamikaze run toward the largest concentration of enemy forces. But at 31 she had no intention of dying just yet. She hit her ejection switch before the plane got over the enemy positions. She and her gunner parachuted into the Kahanistan Marine lines, or more accurately, what was left of them. A Xirnium bullet struck her in the side as she descended. She landed on top of one of the trucks, rolling off and hitting the ground at the same time her empty plane crashed into the enemy lines.

Colonel Levitt rolled her onto her back and extracted the bullet, lodged between two ribs. She took off her uniform jacket and held it over her comrade's wound and spoke to her, trying to keep her awake.

Colonel Sklenova's eyes opened and closed repeatedly. "How much longer before help gets here?" she asked.

"About four more hours," replied Colonel Levitt. "The 37th Walker division should be getting here. It'll be about twelve hours before we get airship support. We'll get you into their medbay then. How many troops did you see from the sky?"

"Over twenty thousand, probably more. I couldn't see them all. We don't stand a fucking chance here, and that ain't fair."

Colonel Levitt radioed the Walker division under General Bin Mohammed. "We're down to 159 troops alive. Colonel Sklenova's wounded and her fighter is out of commission. We no longer have air intel. We've got hundreds of enemy guns shooting at us, heavy tanks, infantry attacking us. We're down to about 10% of our original stock of disruptor batteries. We're fixing for a last ditch defense with knives and bayonets. We have a makeshift trench constructed of two rows of ten trucks lined against each other. We're damned surrounded out here. What's the story on those fucking Walkers?"

"We estimate arrival of more forces in three to four hours, Colonel. Airship evacuation for your wounded will be at least ten, probably twelve hours away. We regret that our walkers simply can't go any faster than 56 kilometers per hour."

Colonel Sklenova sighed. "Rachel, we won't be able to hold out that long. I... wish I could have done more..." She closed her eyes and lost consciousness. Colonel Levitt raised her legs over her rucksack to keep the blood flowing to her organs. She would live another six to seven hours, long enough for the Walkers to get there, and God willing, one of them would have a decent medkit. What were they thinking, sending us out on convoy duty with all these weapons, and no damn medical equipment? Levitt cursed the myth of Kahanistan Imperial Marines being invincible, a myth that led some who espoused it not to provide decent medical equipment. The myth worked well against some enemies, but not against these religious fanatics. She joined her surviving troops between the trucks and fixed her bayonet. The soldiers fired whatever they had at the Xirnium troops. They were determined to resist until the Walkers got there.

OOC: IT's late, so this is a crappy post just to get me in for now.

It was the middle of the night at the docks of the Neo-Nagasaki harbor, which was built exclusivly for the Imperial Court's Navy. The night watch inside the port-authority building was half asleep, half watching a morally-questionable video. No one noticed the beeping of the monitors for five minutes. Finally, someone mistook it for the microwave and got up to check it out. Of course, one could imagine the guard's face when he read the lines on the screen, all the way from the top:

TO: ICN HQ
SUBJECT: ALLY YALLAK ENGAGED IN COMBAT

The Imperial Shogunate's new ally, Yallak, is currently engaged in combat
with hostile forces. As per a recently signed mutual-defense pact, we must
show them that they can place their trust in us. As such, I hereby order
the launching of the 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, and 10th Imperial Fleets to assist
in their fight.

His Excellency, Shogun Heero Yuy.

The guard's face was a look of total shock. 5 fleets came to 600 ships and submarines. He'd actually have to look up what they contained...when such a good video wasn't on TV. he had a duty first though. He ran over and pulled the alarm lever for the fleets' barracks. Off in the dark distance, he could hear the klaxons go off. An hour later, he could hear the turbines of the massive ships fire up as they began leaving port.

We offer this message to all nations involved:
ViZion is now demanding that all nations cease their hostile moves. Xirnium has accepted an offer from ViZion that will forbid them from giving away their people into slavery like their are a free pen, and will also forbid them from enslaving the people them selves.

Those who are truly interested in the safety of these people should have the smarts to cease their actions. Those who have darker motives - more land, free slaves, and so forth - will be delt with.

We are preparing to send our military to forcefully disembark any forces who are still trying to invade even though peace is a viable option.

Once again, cease all hostile actions. Peace is on the table. Xirnium is willing to stop raffling his people off into slavery for nuclear capabilities. Cease all hostile actions immediately!

IC: The sub now docked on the side of the Flagship erupted into a ball of fire. Dagon’s face showed only a slight change in look – from a neutral negotiating face to a slightly displeased look.

His order was filled with a coldness none of his men had ever heard before.

“Seize them”.

The Guard grabbed hold of the two Nistolonians.

“You have just killed three of my men and have undoubtedly brought about the death of your nation.”

He waved his hand and the guards used their pistol butts to knock the prisoners unconscious, then they dragged them off to some containment cells, taking all of their possession from them – including swapping their clothes to imperial outfits just incase any was concealed in them that could kill another Yallakian.

Dagon looked at a sailor that had just entered the bridge.

“What of the hull?”

“It’ll need about a half hours work to touch it up and repaint it, but other than that we are undamaged. The armour is definitely worth it’s cost.”

“Of course it is. We didn’t spend a century developing that metal so that we could be sunk in such a pathetic attempt of bravery.

Commisar Poltk crouched in a bombed out crater, behind one of his shattered tanks. They had the Kahanistan's surrounded and were closing in for the kill. Slowly the tanks advanced under a hail or artillery and tank fire, the Zealots using them for cover as they relentlessly pushed forward. The explosions had been grievous, but not crippling, and as thousand of well armed and well trained troops poured into the area he was confident of victory.

'Tell third and fifth mechanised brigades to attack,' he screamed through his gas mask, now being worn by all Xirnium troops after Nistolonia's toxic attack. He also wore a rubberised suit which would defend against most all of the chemical or biological agents that might be thrown against Xirnium - the Xirniumites learnt quickly.

'Commisar, the heavy rocket artillery is in place' yelled Brother Yenko over the noise.

'Very well, call all troops to halt, begin rocket saturation bombardment of the area immediately. What about the other matter, have you attended to it?'

'Yes Commisar. The nuke is here, you may fire it when ready.'

She tore the exhaust pipe from one of her truck-barricades, tied her white undershirt over it to form a white flag, and raised it. She then radioed Commissar Poltk.

Immediately Zealot troopers rushed forward and secured the weapons of the noble Kahanistan defenders. Commisar Poltk surged forward, saluting Colonel Levitt as a woman who had put up a most heroic defence.

'Colonel, my troops will take you to Xigrat village, the nearest town to here and only about 8 miles away. I've ordered Priest-Healers to meet us there and provide immediate medical attention to you soldiers,' he offered her weapon back to her, 'You of course and your officers may carry your side-arms. If any of my troops do not show respect for command by saluting the correct officers I want to know immediately so that I can punish them, although I don't anticipate a problem in that regard.'

He took a deep breath, surveying the scene. It seemed strange to be so quiet.

When Brigadier General Hamed al-Kareem bin Mohammed and his 2,400 Walkers arrived at the battlefield, they found only... an abandoned battlefield. 15 Kahanistan trucks had apparently been deliberately detonated with explosives, 20 were lined in two rows and, judging from the bodies between them, had been used as a makeshift trench, and five of them were on top of several Xirnium corpses or crashed into tanks. These had rocks or sacks on top of the accelerators to propel them. 429 Kahanistan bodies were found, but Colonel Levitt was not among them. She was one of the missing. Had she been captured? Surrendered? Hardly likely, in all the years he'd known her. Not one dead soldier had a working weapon, the disruptors were all empty. Knives and bloody bayonets littered the battlefield. If they were out of energy for their weapons... he thought, maybe surrender was more likely... but not much. In one area a crashed fighter was in the midst of a concentrated area of Xirnium tanks. It had apparently been deliberately crashed into the forces, but the pilot's body was not in it. Whoever it was had ejected. He radioed his findings to General Kalazanov, expecting the worst. He was coming by airship himself with 60,000 troops.

"Whatever happened here, many of our troops are missing. We think they may have surrendered or been taken prisoner. Permission to contact Xirnium. They may or may not be entirely truthful with us, but it's a good place to start. And let's see how many of our spies survived, maybe one of them knows something. If Xirnium's version of events jibes with our intelligence, then they're probably telling the truth," said Kalazanov. "And if Levitt's still alive... and if she does something like this again, I'll either court-martial her, or promote her."

ViZion asks that all nations cease hostilities towards eachother. ViZion is willing to host peace talks, however our patience is now starting to run low.

Xirnium has agreed to cease his actions of giving away his people into slavery, enslaving his people himself, and the slaughter he committed. He has done what many of you are fighting to stop. Unfortunately, not all of you are fighting for that, as you continue your march into Xirnium for land and slaves and resources.

Those who cease their hostilities and attend the peace talks will not be be sent into trial. However, those who continue any aggression towards other nations will be swiftly defeated in your own homeland, and your government officials and military Generals will be tried in ViZion, Canada, and Xirnium for the war crimes of imperialistic invasion.

"You'd better. And did you ever find out what happened to the survivors from that battle on the border when a fight broke out between the convoy and the Xirnium Border Patrol that led to a full-scale battle?"

"The colonel commanding the convoy and about 100 troops were captured. I'll be heading to my ship, I'll see you at the peace summit, Mr. President."

Although you, our great ally, have requested our aid in this matter, we must decline this at once. We are quite disturbed by the fact that you would even begin to offer aid to a previously genocidal, treacherous, and evil dictatorship such as Xirnium.

This will certainly be noted in our books, and be remembered into the future. Unfortunately, on these grounds alone we must reject any and all aid to Xirnium in this issue, and we cannot, therefore, aid ViZion either.

It is to my dismay that I am reporting this to you; however, I must uphold the Westwood Alliance regulations, and continue to fulfill the dream of all Jarridians.

On the contrary; however, it has been brought to my attention of a disturbance that has and will cause great harm to the Jarridian nation and is population. Without warrant or warning, the nation of 'Kraven' has taken upon itself to declare a nuclear war upon Xirnium. This injustice will not be tolerated, and all measures will be taken to protect Jarridian sovereignty and Jarridian safety around the world.

The Grand Union Hall was silent. It’s had been long since the old marble corridors had echoed the cacophony of sounds and voices of legislators. Knock, knock, knock…

The young Premier looked up from his desk. The bags under his eyes and his tired face made him look older than he was. From the guerrilla warfare in his youth to the stresses of maintaining a super power wasn’t the typical experiences for someone that young. In clean english, he said calmy, “Come in.”

A JWI, Jaguar Warrior Infantryman walked in. His green NKVD-Soviet style dress uniform showed he was a higher up, much higher than the regular, hard working grunt.

“Hello, Premier, I regret to be the bearer of bad news, but there has been a nuclear attack on foreign soil. The Kraven Corporation has attacked the Rouge Nation of Xirnium”

“And how does this affect us?” Asked Quetzalcoatl, in a surprisingly apathetic tone.

“Well, sir, our ally of ViZion is defending Xirnium. And, because of our law, we are required to assist them.”

“Well,” said the Premier, “It’s the honorable thing to do.”

The Guard grabbed hold of the two Nistolonians.

“You have just killed three of my men and have undoubtedly brought about the death of your nation.”

Secret IC:
Cyrus watched the city out of his window, he silently watched the tiny ants as they fulfilled their duties. A smile cracked across his lips as he thought about how all of them had only known the strictness and discipline of the military. Each and every single one of them ready to drop whatever they are doing and go fight some foreign cause, all under this utopia for soldiers, a Mercenary State. His mind wandered past the troops, and into the advances his nation was making. Very few people inside the nation knew this, and even fewer outside, but his cream of the crop soldiers were genetically modified. The marvels of modern science. His face twisted into a frown when he realized how much he hated all this desk work, and how much he wanted back in the field. No, this many people needed someone to look up to, and if he were to die then the nation would be in an uproar. His seastories made him look invincible to all those that followed him, if he were to die all that he worked so hard to put together would come crashing down.

The door flew open and a figure rolled into the room, avoiding Trilly as she leaped. When the person came to his feet he had a little red dot bounding around on his forehead as the laser from Cyrus's Browning BDM was cocked and ready to fire at the person. The man stood still and said,

"Sir, we have a job request from an unknown person. We are running checks and trying to trace them. Although it seems they have done business with us before."

"Very well. What is it?" He asked as he put his pistol down and the cougar circled around the room coming to a rest next to Cyrus.

"We've been requested to "deliver" a device to a target. It's a high risk according to the description, and survival chances of the person who delivers it are very low from the looks of it. It's a chemical agent, and a very nasty one at that. The target is Xirnium, although we aren't to activate the agent until given express orders to do so. Their terms state that they may terminate the orders at any time, although we still will receive payment."

"Establish contact with the clients, and work out how we are going to recieve the "agent," I have a plan to get into, or at least near the country, supposing it wouldn't damage the "agent."

"I'll establish contact ASAP, sir" he said before turning around and exiting the room.

They were under no orders that were not normal for leaving port, simply to protect themselves and not to move further then One Hundred miles from Comdidian Shorelines. Understood, the Slammers will arrive on-station shortly.

Colonel Edwin Hammer

The Hammers airships filled the sky for miles as they moved through the air, there were three main types, classes based upon the flagships of each unit, Ragnarok class ships were fast, maneuverable, and well armed, but small and capable of holding few troops, while Highwinds were larger, slower, even more heavily armed with missiles and rockets, and capable of lofting nearly a full battalion of soldiers if they crowded, while the third class, the Legions, were massive, slow, almost totally unarmed, and capable of lofting all of the armor units of the Slammers, as well as providing a launch platform for the transports of the air-cav.

They would arrive in just a few hours.

Several choppers full of soldiers, although none of them looked it, dropped off their loads several miles from border of Xirnium. Their objective was simple, enter the country, blend in with the crowd, and await further instructions. None of them looked the same, they had no distinguishing features, except that they had a hard to notice tattoo on the back of their neck. Each one carried something different, except they all carried several canisters labeled Inhaled corticosteroids, a common asthma medicine. If prompted what they were doing, most of them would respond with some generic tripe about being on a religious pilgrimage that led them here. Others would respond in a way that would make it clear to not talk to them again. All of them, upon receiving a single word would release what most would mistake with a standard medication. Their journey through the unprotected wilderness, and into Xirinium soil, wouldn't take more than several hours, but the 'religious zealots' stationed in the farther away cities would take several days to complete the trip.

Did your Grand Cardinal not tell you that our delegate DID, in fact, get into his face over his actions as well? The difference is that the Grand Cardinal walked out after that; Kraven did not.

We urge your nation to do remove him so as that he does not cause anymore trouble.

As for your "double standard", it is funny you mention this, when Kraven has accused us of the same thing. The game of politics and diplomacy is give-and-take. It rarely will be a "my-way-or-the-highway" when both nations have caused damage to the other. Unfortunately, neither of your nations have been willing to do that, and that has put us right back in this situation of war.

ViZionarian blockades will be maintained unless asked to leave. Our delegate has asked ViZion to exit this situation, but we are still giving it thought. Until then, ViZionarian forces are to remain peace keepers and blockaders, nothing more.

To ViZion:

The Grand Cardinal was completely correct to leave the so-called "peace-talks". Kraven, a most horrible and despicable nation of gangsters, does not have a leg to stand on with regards its claims on Xirnium. The nuclear destruction of the Kraven base was entirely justified, as it was only built on Xirnium territory in the first place because of Kraven's naked and unjustified threats of invasion! Considering such blatantly illegal origins the Xirnium ecclesiarchy felt entirely justified to purge that foul filth from our lands.

What the Grand Cardinal was not right in doing, however, was pulling a weapon out during the peace conference, and he has been removed from office for that foolishness. [OCC: At http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=9753423&postcount=123 ]

This talk by you of "give and take" with regards Kraven however is ridiculous. Kraven Corporation can not be allowed any concessions. Their actions were completely belligerent and unwarranted, based purely on the fact that Zirnium refused to purchase weapons from them (something I'm sure you will agree we had every right to do). Any consideration of giving in to such extortion is repellant. We ask you to therefore condemn them.

It had been a few adys of nonstop dead silent running as they tried, for the most part, to get within range of the ViZion blockade just in case something happened. As the Admiral looked to the flight deck he saw the second shift of the AP planes preparing for takeoff to keep the sensative buffer zone around their ships clear for sure. They kept their fast speed a little longer just so they could be within a closer range of the ViZion ships should they need assistance before slowing to a crawling speed to watch the situation and make sure they stayed out of the crossfire.

After the General listened to the report coming from Xirnium, he quickly reported to President Delain.

Within moments, President Delain had settled on a decision.

"Remove all forces from Xirnium. They call us cowards. They say we make pacts with imperialist nations. They call us a joke. That is it. We have better things to do with our forces after having a gun pulled on us, and being called names. We had another war to deal with, and we need them home anyway. Bring the forces home. Let Xirnium deal with their own problems, as they do not seem to want our aid."

Within the hour, ViZionarian transporters were headed to the Xirnium coast to begin loading up ViZionarian forces for the trip home. It would take a few hours, however, as ViZionarian forces needed to quickly pack up and get to the coast from across the nation of Xirnium.

The ViZionarian naval forces maintained their position only to defend their own troops should ViZion come under attack from any forces. Once all ViZionarian land forces are headed home, the ViZionarian navy will begin their own trip home.

The Captain of the element laughed quietly as he read the press release by Xirnium about their allies. It had been a few adys of nonstop dead silent running as they tried, for the most part, to get within range of the ViZion blockade just in case something happened. But he had heard that they were now neutral so they were just their to show an interest mostly. They really had no reason to fight unless their ally ViZion started to take fire from either side.

Coded Transmission to ViZion Blockade-
From: Admiral James Lansrat
"All ships and personal in the ViZion blockade this is the first elementals of the 3rd RRF. We would just like to alert you and let you know to the fact that we have reached our maximum Air Support range and that if need be we can launch our craft in order to support should you come under attack."

A response from the ViZionarian blockade was quickly sent off,

Thank you, Admiral James Lansrat. We are preparing to head back home, and begin another campaign onto Mondoth. Those bastards want nuclear war! How insane is that?

As for Xirnium... their nation can rott in hell. Apparently they think nothing of a large nation who would defend them. There was no question as to who we would fight with until their Grand Shitinal pulled his stunt on us, and now they call us names! They are on their own now.

We invite your forces, should your government allow you to, to join us in our next campaign once we depart ViZion from freshening up. We would like to be able to fight side by side with you. We will talk at a later time.

Since the ViZionians were leaving, the way was clear for the Slammers to strike, and strike they did, the entire force headed for the first large open patch of land they could reach, and when they got their, the main portion would land and drop off the 4 line divisions of the Slammers, then they would take to the air again, their job would be to provide fire for the advancing formations, while also dealing with any airthreats that reared their heads, not a fun combination of jobs.

OOC: Sorry if I didn't make this clear earlier, but I'm not sending them in all in one big cluster, I'm having them spread out, and go in on different points of the borders at most in squads of three men, that and they are entering in the wilderness, by foot. One of the specialties of my nation is wilderness survival. Antoher is espionage, although no where near as much empasis on it. Since they are entering in areas that are highly unpolpulated, and far away from major entry points into the country I think you'd have a hard time killing off many of them, especially considering there are 50 of them, so unless your nation is the size of a pea your not going to have much luck killing off very many of them.

EDIT: didn't see your post directed at me, sorry, I'll take the liberty to respond to it right now

. I know that your troops are plainclothed, OCC of course. My troops are ordered to fire on anyone wearing anything going anyway over the border.
Yes, but they are operating under stealth guidelines, meaning crossing the border the border at night, in the middle of nowhere. I'll explain how my soldiers are trained if you want but only OOC'ly, and only if you ask. Entering a country like this wouldn't be too hard for them, and the likely hood of finding more than two or three of them is very low. SInce the vials are labeled, with a perscription, beit a false one, the death of any of them would only raise the issue of them being an illegal immigrant

My troops are ordered to execute people crossing the border regardless of their affiliations, and obviously since I don't even know about your troops yet I can't know they are affiliated with Kraven Corp.
I only added that becasue you made it seem that I was acting as Kravens hound, the issue with that is nobody in my nation even knows that this is contracted through Kraven, so even if you did interogate one them (which after their training would be very innefective) they wouldn't break adn tel you they were mercenaries, rather they were on a religious journey to support Xirium. Even if they did break they couldn't tell you anything other than they are mercenaries.

I don't know about the containers. I don't even know about your nation or its troops so I can't know about the containers.

No argument here

OCC:

Hello Nation of Fortune. You can rest assured my nation still knows nothing about you. Since those soldiers of yours who have been killed were found to have a Kraven gas weapon, they are assumed to be Kraven soldiers, and they may as well be.

Since this frontier is one of the least fortified I agree some of your troops would have gotten in, but crossing it would have incured some very real casualties. All vegetation is cut back at least 50 metres both sides of the frontier, it's open ground. Much of it is fenced. There are mile forts every mile, meaning the frontier can quickly be reinforced if in danger. Garisoned observation towers which constantly scan the area are maintained every several hundred meters.

For this reason I think you would have sustained quite a few casualties, though I agree a significant amount would get through and once they did capture is very difficult as this part of the country is sparsely populated and heavily wooded.

As for the point about refugees, my nation is in a time of war and spies from other nations have already been found, so the border guard soldier-monks don't care whether the person is a refugee, foreign volunteer or spy, they will fight fanatically to kill him all the same.

"It appears that the cowardly and hypocritical ViZionians have already begun their withdrawl from Xirnium. We are glad to see them go, they have been proven to be of hollow words and without the resolve to stand up against the great injustice of a nation, the foul Kraven Corporation and its lackeys, invading another small sovereign nation which never did it any harm. They have also proved to be sycophantic appaeasers, urging us to deal with Kraven who first started aggression with us in the first place, and without a legitimate reason.

We curse the ViZionians for their hypocrisy, pretending to want the best interests for the Xirnium people yet refusing even to condemn the Kraven heretics. May ViZion burn in hell due to its own enemies, Xirnium for one will not weep at its passing."

President Delain just shook his head over the Xirnium press release, miffed over their thought process.

Over in Xirnium, the ViZionarian forces were boarding their transporters, all land forces finally having arrived at the coast line. It would not be long before Xirnium was alone.

Would Xirnium crumble? Given its opposition, very likely it would. But ViZion could care less at this point. They pull a gun on the delegates at a peace conference, then talk down about ViZion. ViZion would have it no longer.

Asked if President Delain would give a press release over this situation, he declined, stating that it would not be worthy of his time.

Senator Ahmed Ali bin Faisal shoved a newspaper article on an overhead projector in the Senate Hall. "Can you believe these clowns actually want us to fight alongside them as allies?"

Senate President Khalid bin Abdullah al-Omari raised an eyebrow. "Why not? It's not like they're nuking their own people or selling them as slaves anymore. Why shouldn't we have normal relations with them?"

Bin Faisal couldn't believe what he was hearing. "They're an inferior race, so fuck them! Let Kraven wipe them out, then we can destroy those capitalistic scum too."

Senator Mohammed bin Abdul Haram stood up. "For one thing, there is no such thing as an inferior race. Also, capitalistic nations like Kraven will destroy themselves when the workers unite, and uber-capitalists will destroy themselves when they screw the wrong person and get bombed into the Stone Age. If we back Kraven, we'll just be dragged into every war with whoever they screw over. If we back Xirnium we might be able to weaken Kraven to the point where a policy shift will be the only way to save them, like a policy shift saved the Xirnium people."

"But," he added, "we have to find out some way to protect against that horrible bioweapon. I vote that the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Defense try to find ways to protect against corrosives. We have a prototype suit made of metal with all the plastic parts internal but it's too heavy. And our nuclear program is crippled, it'll be weeks before we can build another satellite, and nearly a year before we restock our larger nuclear weapons."

He finished his speech. "We have tried to negotiate, maybe get Kraven to back off Xirnium by offering them equivalent land on our territory for bases. We couldn't get them off Xirnium peacefully. I recommend a statement of condemnation and see how that works before we attack, and sell the Xirnium forces whatever they need to defend themselves at a 50% discount."

His words were met with approving shouts from the Senate. Senate President al-Omari agreed. "All in favor..." The ayes rang through the Senate Halls.

Later that day, the President sent an official missive to Kraven.

The Government of Kahanistan condemns this act of naked aggression solely for the purpose of enriching the Government of Kraven in a blatant display of capitalistic avarice. While we disagree with the nefarious capitalistic practices of the Kraven Corporation, we sincerely hope this conflict can be resolved without warfare. “Bring fire control systems online. Launch all fighters”.

Dagon moved across the bridge and picked up the ships communicator, as the nearby carriers began launching ASF-32’s, the Empire’s most advanced combat fighters.

He sent out a general transmission

There will be no second warning.

After he finished the broadcast, Dagon pressed several buttons on the consol and began to send encoded messages to Yallak.

“This is Supreme Commander Dagon requesting additional battlegroups to be deployed to Xirnium”.

After a moments delay the reply came through,

“Commander. Request received. All available battlegroups will be dispatched immediately. Expect 10 more groups – ETA 1 day. The Emperor has also readied 6 Legions for deployment to Xirnium to replace the withdrawing ViZion troops.

Of course, such a large air armada was not in the least bit difficult to track even by the relatively outdated Xirnium radar stations, and its intended direction was quickly extrapolated.

"What are our defences like in that part of the country?" Inquisitor Valhorn snarled, reading the reports with disgust as yet another nation attempted an unprovoked invasion of Xirnium.

"My Lord, as it is one of the poorer sectors for an airborne invasion our troops there are not overly strong. Of course, all the larger patches of clear ground in the zone have sizable anti-air capabilities, large numbers of quad 128-mm flack guns which will take a huge toll on those absurd "airships" the Mini Miehm use. They are also the locations reinforced with the most and best quality troops."

"Excellent Lieutenant, and the less reinforced areas?" the Inquistior asked, less worried now that he had heard of the formidable defences of the better landing areas.

"Well, sir, they will have fewer of the larger calibre guns, but not much fewer, and much less troops and armoured units protecting them. However, they are usually poor sites for landing airborne armies. The ground might be broken and rugged, or swampy, or frequently both, or highly mountainous around the clearing. Of course, if they decide to come by these routes we will attempt to quickly reinforce the landing zones by use of our extensive tunnel network," the Lieutenants said, scanning the report of the preparations of the Xirnium state against airborne attack.

"Excellent, excellent. I want to deploy larger numbers of Zealot, armoured and infantry divisions to that area of the country immediately, so we can quickly reinforce any defence. What about the nukes?" asked the Inquisitor

"Well, sir, as we learnt from attacking Kraven, nuclear weapons can be delivered by tunnel system and used to eradicate any force. This is a last ditch weapon for use if it looks like the enemy shall breach through the airborne bridgehead. The Mini Miehm can respond to this by spreading their troops out, but even if they do we still have enough nukes to deal with it, not to mention the bridgeheads will be much weaker and able to be destroyed picemeal by our numerically superior forces when they arrive, if they spread their troops out too much of course we will be able to cut them down easily," the Lieutenant said confidently.

"Excellent, Lieutenant, keep me informed. Track this armada so we can respond to it," commanded Inquisitior Valhorn.

However, we are not impressed with calling our nation various nations, and attempting to put all of the blame on ViZion.

Perhaps it is time to end the bickering. General Caracas has now returned to Yallak and told of the events which unfolded at the last meeting.
I invite representitives from ViZion and Xirnium to the Imperial Palace in Arrandin to resolve the rift that is forming between your nations.

Xirnium is always willing to discuss peace with reasonable nations but will never agree to see any representative of Kraven or its foul slave nations ever again. They cannot be invited to any meeting that Xirnium attends.

These nations are not only enemies of the Xirnium govenment, that fact is irrelevant. They are enemies of the Xirnium people, nations that would harvest our civilians for slaves! They are beneath contempt.

ViZion will once again be willing to attend a meeting involving Xirnium. However, a different delegate will be attending. His name is John Cannon.

And to show his willingness to get things fixed instead of having more confrontations, we will be unarmed and will not have a single guard with him, even against ViZionarian officials requests.

John will be leaving ViZion in two hours for Yallak.

Senator Mohammed bin Abdul Haram addressed his fellow Senators.

"We have not received word from Xirnium on our offer to sell our weapons at 50% discount. We think they might not be able to afford it, and if that is the case, it is likely that they do not have the forces to resist Kraven and its allies for much longer. Furthermore, we have received no response to our statement condemning the capitalistic actions of Kraven in threatening Xirnium."

Senate President Khalid bin Abdullah al-Omari groaned. "We weren't expecting them to respond. We did think Xirnium might be able to afford our discounted weapons, though. I'll ask the President to mobilize troops, after all we haven't been attacked in a while."

He called a recess and contacted the President on his cell. After a brief discussion the President called General Ibrahim bin Jawala.

"General, take 150,000 Imperial Marines and 500,000 Republic Guards to our western border. Mobilize 10 Uranus-class airships and make sure we have at least 10,000 Walkers. DO NOT engage Kraven unless they engage you or I order you to engage. We don't need another debacle like the one at Xigrat. Hopefully a moderate show of strength will persuade them that it would be less profitable to loot Xirnium if they had to factor the cost of lost troops."

General bin Jawala nodded, shook hands with the President, and turned to leave.

"Take care," said the President.

The Kraven battlefleet was now on-route, The Kraven Corporation was a military state, and had been on a status of Defcon Black for some time, most of the Corporations forces that would be commited to this operation had already been mobilised days before, and now the fleet was making haste...

The new Kraven battleship, smaller than a Super Dreadnought, but capable of about the same damage, moved with haste towards the shores of Xirnium, the bow lifted out the water as it ploughed through the break of a wave, then crashing down into the water at the other side...

The other ships of the battlefleet, logistical ships, and anti Missile defenses were following, The Corporation didnt use Troop transport ships, all of its Battleships and other Combat vessels had room to carry Troops in, it was all part of the Kravens Efficiency in the Art of War...

The Corporation was planning not to loose this War, for it had spent too much time and effort attempting to gain what it saw as rightfully its, so was dispatching, 2 Battalions of Capitol Police and 3 Legions Of Sardaukar Phase 4 Terror Troopers...

It was going to be a bitter war of attrition if anyone decided to take up arms against the Corporation....

“Hahahahahahahahaha”, came the very unexpected reply from Commander Dagon as he was informed about the approaching Kraven ‘battlefleet’.

Quickly returning to his usual serious manor the Commander picked up his communications device and began to address the fleet.

“This is Supreme Commander Dagon, all ships standby and assume defensive positions. A Kraven fleet has been detected on approach.”

A flip of a switch later and he was sending an encoded transmission to Xirnium.

“No doubt you have picked up the Kraven ships on approach. They advance now into the waiting vice of the Imperial Navy. This will be a day long remembered, as the ships of the corporation are destroyed and their every soldier incinerated.

Our transports are approaching Xirnium now, ready to unload imperial troops to boster your defenses.”

He cut his broadcast and headed over to begn planning the upcoming battle on the tactical map displayed across one wall of the bridge. From here he would lead the annihilation of the Kraven vessels.

On route to Xirnium the Kraven Battlefleet had formed into a 4 tier defensive ring, long are the forgotten tactics of the former Battlefleet, and so are the use of over sized Super Dreadnaught, instead the Fleet hand gone for a different approach, one vectoring on Speed while at the same time fire power.

The Biggest ship in the fleet was a Nimitz class Pocket battleship, armed with some of the most modern weapons in the Kraven fleet, 670mm ETC with EM rifleing, capable of firing different rounds, depending on the target, Against ships the "Darkthrone" would fire CE Depleted Uranium, with tungsten tipped shaped Round, this would hammer through the Armour of ships, then the C12 explosive device inside would detonate a few moments after entering the vessel, blowing a portion of the ship apart from the inside, C12 being the most explosive substance in the Kraven arsenal next to a Thermo nuke, C12 was designed to be used during sieges, instead of capturing the building, they could simply level it...

The Rest of the ship was armed with smaller 180mm Cannons, as wells as a few lighter 240mm ETC with EM rifiling Cannons, these turrets were smaller than the ships main cannons, but were still capable of inflicting damage.

throughout the ship were yet smaller weapons, 20mm, 60mm, 120mm,

the Nimitz class was a new breed of ship within the Kraven Navy, designed to engage any class of ship and survive it was the pinnicle of Kraven Technology

Supporting these ships were smaller ships, destroyers and ASW vessels, Radar /Sonar Tracking vessels, and Logistical ships that were protected by Destroyer Elements of the 3rd Battlefleet..

In the centre of the Defensive ring was the Nimitz and the Kraven Super Carrier The "Valhalla" it was capable of carrying over 600 - 800 Vtol aircraft and would have the duty of launching Air Craft, already as the fleet approached Anti Submarine VTOLS patrolled the fleet, while at the same time Anti Ship VTOLS flew in formation following the fleet....

this would launched anti submarine VTOLS, as well as Attack VTOLS outfitted with Antiship missile systems, these would be used to patrol the Kraven Battlefleet, using the Sonar and Radar tracking ships to effectivly locate and destroy enemy subs, while at the same time the Attack VTOLS would harrass enemy shiping...

The Kraven fleet also had supporting it, 13 of the Torment class Fusion subs, these armed with the latest in Plasma envelope technology and MHD drives would be able to support the fleet, without being detected for as long as possible... the Plasma Envelope was designed to absorb the Sonar waves and Radar waves, instead of reflecting them back, however the Plasma envelope required an immense power source to generate it, and despite the cold water deadening it, the Plasma field created an immense heat signature, but unless the sonar/radar operaters new to look in Thermal, it would be incredibly difficult to locate these subs....

The Kraven Fleet approached, its radar Ships picking up the formation of the Imperial navy quickly...

"Admiral"

"Yes what is it?"

"Tracking Ship 13 has detected a mass of Ships off the coast of Xirnium"

"IFF?"

"Indications and movments say that they are Hostile"

"Prepare Battlestations... All Ships Red Alert"

Sirens blared out across the Kraven Navy, as Capitol Police crew men began preparing defenses, loading up shells, and getting ready for the possible conflict ahead....

General bin Jawala sat at his desk, receiving a transmission from the President.

Move your forces to the Xirnium border. And let the Kraven forces see you do it.

General bin Jawala knew what the President's idea was. If they massed forces on the Xirnium border, with orders not to engage the Kraven forces unless attacked, the Kraven forces would probably attack the Kahanistan forces. Even if they didn't, they would have to deal with the possibility of penetrating into Xirnium and being cut off from retreat or losing their logistical train by the Kahanistan forces. Either way, Kraven would probably not have the strength for sustained warfare against Xirnium and Kahanistan.

The crisp, silent, morning air was suddenly shattered by the noise of sirens blaring out across the beaches. Commisar Xitrac got up uncomfortably from his hard bunk, putting on his glasses and then stumbling out of his bunker, just remembering to pick up his sub-machine gun as he went.

Out in the trenches there was a bustling of activity, troops moving one way and another as they manned their position. The Commisar walked briskly down the narrow, extra-reinforced trench to his command centre, pushing roughly past the lowly soldiers who did their best to stay out of his way. Damned Kraven heathens, he thought to himself as he did his best to shake off the terrible headache he was feeling. He seared at the fact that his tiny nation could not even mount a token resistance to the Kraven Battlefleet on the High Seas, but at least, he though to himself grimly, we’ll be able to show those filthy dogs the idiocy of their invasion when they step foot on Holy Xirnium!

“Lord Commisar?” It was his adjutant, Potak.

“Yes what is it Lieutenant?” the Commisar asked, suddenly fierce and frightening, like a Commisar should.

“All defence positions along the coast have been manned, Lord Commisar, and the super-heavy artillery has begun ranging so that when the Kraven fleet,” he spat on the ground with disgust, “passes within range we can give them an almighty barrage.”

“Good Lieutenant, good,” the Commisar stopped to gaze out on the rough surf as the awesome cannons of the super-heavy artillery, housed in their thick bombardment proof bunkers to the back of the beach, began to open fire, ranging their shots. He returned his look to the adjutant “The troops?”

“Commisar Xitrac, we have about 1.8 million heavily armed soldiers lining this front, all ready to die for the God-Emperor, with larger amounts in reserve that we can use to reinforce our positions via the tunnel system (dug deep under ground to avoid even the most devastating bombardment) and also to form a defence-in-depth should the Kraven filth break out of their beachheads,” the Lieutenant said.

“And the.. erm, nuclear option?” the Commisar asked.

“As per your orders, Lord Commissar, we have converted part of our small stock-piles of nuclear devices for use in a 280-mm shell, which can be fired from three converted artillery pieces now at your disposal. I caution though that they only have a couple of rounds each, so use them wisely,” the Lieutenant warned.

The Commissar merely grunted his understanding, turning instead to scream at two soldiers who had foolishly dropped and broken a crate of machinegun ammunition. He thought about executing both, making an example of them, but instead decided against it, only shooting one. Turning back he scanning the vast amounts of barbed wire, reinforced trenches, fortified machinegun posts and armoured bunker positions, housing everything from artillery, to mortars, to machinegun batteries, to flamethrowers. The Commissar sighed deeply, knowing full well that the coming trial would not be easy.

IYS Bloodthirster, In the Imperial Fleet

Dagon stood staring at the bridge’s map, the small representations of the Imperial ships had long since finished their maneuvers and now sat stationary on the dark blue background. On each ship a bright red light shone, indicating that ship was combat ready.
He glanced left towards the Imperial transports. They had now reached the Xirnium coast and were no doubt unloading and preparing for any enemy landings. He looked back at the approaching Kraven ships.
Our semi-isolationist policies have allowed the world to forget that our power and our will cannot be ignored. The destruction of Kraven will awaken them to reality.
He turned from the map and once again spoke to the fleet.

“Kraven had its warning when we assumed the protection of Xirnium, now their own arrogance will cost them their lives. Begin primary attack, Launch remaining fighters.”

There was no hesitation by any ship in carrying out the Commanders orders. In an instant the Imperial fleet disappeared beneath a billowing cloud of white smoke as thousands of anti-ship missiles soared out towards their targets.
Only repetitive piercing bright red-orange flashes were visible in the heavy white fog, each one marking another massive shell being flung out at a Kraven ship.

Dagon walked back across to the tactical map, picking up his comm. link on the way so he could give Xirnium an update.

Attention Xirnium,

The Imperial fleet has engaged the Kraven ships and in less than half an hour we will have eighteen thousand combat aircraft in the air. Kraven will not survive the day.

The Kraven Fleet was underbombardment, the initial salvos from Yallaks imperial fleet hammering into the water, sending great plumes of H20 rising into the air..

"Commander We are under fire from the Imperial Fleet"

"All ships Return Fire, Defensive stance, Arm the LMAMS"

"Understood Commander"

"Admiral" The commander spoke, "We have a situation, you may want to head to the bridge"

"Understood Command I'm on my way"

As the missiles approached, the LMAMS came online, it was an anti missile system, very crude in its operation but highly effective against in comming missiles, each ship had four or five of these turrests that had a full spectrum arc of fire, able to track multiple incomming missiles and down them with, quite simply a wall of lead, as each turret was armed with quad assault cannons firing 7.62mm rounds.

With the 4 tier ring, the 1000 ships of the Kraven navy would be able to down most of the missiles without taking too much damage..

As the first missiles approached, the LMAMS activated, quickly turning to track an incomming missile, the barrels rotated at high speed, then spitting lead into the sky, downed the missile in a spectacular explosion...

as more missiles approached, more of the LMAMS went to work, following were more explosions from missiles hitting the wall of lead...

But even though the LMAMS was highly effective at its job, some missiles still managed to penetrate the wall...

Streaking into the side of one of the Destroyers, putting a large hole in the side, tearing and shearing metal, sirens echoed from the damaged destroyer as Capitol Police Crewmen attempted to put out fires, and got to work trying to repair the damage...

One missile slammed into the bridge of a smaller Cruiser, Officers screamed as they were flung from the bridge, landing into the water below, flames licked the side of the ship as it now had no Commander, or bridge... Even so the Capitol Police crew took over the situation, dropping anchor and stopping engines, they worked now at stopping the fires, and at least attempting to repair some of the damage...

Another missile streaked into the side of a Tracking ship, it rocked gently in the sea as the missile collided with its armour, there was the sound of shearing metal, and strange groaning sounds comming from the ship, The Commander of the tracking ship... all too human, paused for a few moments holding his breath, waiting for the ship to begin listing... but luckily it held...

The Salvo from Yallaks Cannons rained all around, smashing into the sea, crashing into the Decks of ships, the shrapnel raining around, Metal was torn ashunder, while explosions ripped through the Magazines of other ships.... One Destroyer was hit criticly, its magazine tearing a great hole in the Keel of the ship, it listed gently before the bow began to sink under the water...

"Damage report?"

"Most of the Missiles were Downed, but some have gotten through, but havnt gotten past the 3rd Tier...A few destroyers are reporting minor damage, and tracking ship 8 is reporting minor damage as well..."

"Good, Return Fire"

The Destroyers 280mm ETC with EM rifiling cannons turned to face the Imperial Fleet, there was a whine from Sirens warning the impending salvo... then suddenly with a plume of smoke, the Destroyers opened up with their initial barrage, CE shells Depleted Uranium, with Tungsten tipped rounds screamed towards their targets, the Turrets using Lazer guiding Range finders and Similar optical mags used by the Kraven Military quickly gave the range of the Imperial Ships, the Shell was a specialist shell, it was designed to penetrate the armour, then once the shell was nestled nicely within the ships insides, would detonate a charge of C12, C12 was designed to level buildings, or if there was enough, level entire city blocks, the Amount of charge in each shell would roughly be in the middle of both spectrums, enough to tear the internals of a ship apart...

The Darkthrone the Kravens new Battleship, activated its range finders, locating the distance of the Imperial ships was easy, using the Optical mags in thermal to pick out the heat signatures of the Imperial Ships muzzle flares...

The massive 670mm ETC cannons opened up, Sending huge rounds flying towards the Imperial Ships, the shells similar to those fired by the Destroyers only on a much much larger scale, these weapons were not only designed to fight armoured targets, ships but also Bunkers and other defenses...

“Commander Dagon, the Kraven ships are returning fire – main guns only.”
“Understood, begin evasive maneuvers, maintain fire.”

Sitting idly the Imperial ships had been awaiting that command, their nuclear reactors fully powered. The fleet began breaking up, yet as each individual ship moved the whole fleet seemed to maintain exact combat precision, with no escort ships ever straying far from their command vessel.

The first wave of the smaller and faster shells came hurtling over, barely visible in the open sky. In seconds, the ocean was filled with splashes.

Dagon looked out across the fleet.

“280 mm shells. Surely th…..

A bright flash to the left of the bridge, caused his voice to trail off. One of the frigates near the outer ships erupted into smoke and flames began rising on the deck. With great effort the ship lumbered in and began to withdraw deeper into the fleet.

As the frigate moved another shell hurtled past, barely missing the bridge, and collided into the hull armour of the Khorland-class Battleship Viraat. An explosion followed, but the massive ship continued on undaunted, its armour was slightly damaged, but otherwise it was alright and its guns continued the onslaught.

As did the continual pounding of the Bloodthirsters 28 inch guns. Even when the larger 670 mm shells began to fall. One scoring a direct hit on a nearby destroyer, blowing open a great hole on the deck. Instantly its forward guns fell silent. Though the rear turret continued to fire, the vessel now sat dead in the water, a pillar of smoke rising out of it gaping wound.

Commander Dagon looked at the nearby Captain.

“Remind me how many planes we have in the air.”
“Eighteen thousand, sir.”
“Good. Tell them to engage the enemy but maintain distance here, out of their anti air range. Fire another volley of missiles too.”

Again missiles soared out towards the Kraven ships, this time from the Imperial Fleet and the almost unlimited number of planes flying above. The constant fire of the capital ships man guns continued too, the shots echoing around the metal hulls like thunder.

Dagon return his view to the battle in time to see another frigate taking a glancing hit to its side armour, blowing a chunk off and exposing top deck.

OOC: Sorry again about the delay

Shells screamed past the Kraven Fleet, great explosions errupted out of the water, A destroyer taking a direct hit to its main deck, began to list slowly in the water, the salvo of missiles worked its way towards the Fleet again, however like before the LMAMS, activated, tracking multiple targets, its barrels prep'd to fire, but the fleet had lost some of its destroyers, and so lost its ability to Stop as many missiles as it had previously...

A missile streaked into the main gun of a Cruiser, its 12inch cannons torn apart and usless... the cruiser sustained damage to its front, manouvered to the internals of the Fleet, dropping down from the 4th tier back into the 3rd or 2nd where logistical ships would be waiting, to assist in the repair of the Vessel...

another missile streaked across the 4th tier, making it past the anti missile systems and into the the Deck of a ASW ship, there was an explosion, Capitol police troopers were thrown from the Deck and landed into the water below, if they'd had human emotions, they would have probably screamed for help, but instead, sank silently into the depths below....

One missile streaked over the 4th tier, like its predecessor it managed to get past, only for an LMAMS to quickly turn to face, the system had been tracking this missile while dealing with others, and was now free to deal with it, the barrles opened up, raining lead at the missile, that has it continued towards its target, was brought down by a hail of lead.

A series of shells exploded around the 4th tier, damaging another Destroyer and Bringing a Cruiser within minutes of sinking

The Kraven Fleet Returned fire once more, The Darkthrone Activated its Tomahawk XWS anti shipping missiles, they would fire high into the air, then when approaching the target ships, drop to just a few feet above the Water, then The shaped charge would explode, forcing the pressure of the detonation into the hull of the ships..

The Missile rack fire the first salvo, then the Magazine drum rotated, loading a second salvo, which quickly fired, the drum rotated again firing a 3rd salvo...

the Other missile ships in the Fleet followed suit, launching salvo after salvo in similar fashion...

The 670mm Main guns of the Dark throne opened fire once more, taking aim at the massive captiol Ships of the Imperial Fleet,

At once the Kraven Super Carrier, The Valhalla began launching Attack vtols, these would activly defend the Fleet from enemy Aircraft, being able to dodge and out manouver the aircraft using the Verticle thrust vectors...

The Super carrier wasn't able to Bring enough air craft to bare, to be able to out number the Imperial Fleets number, but in conjunction with Capitol Police anti air, the Attack Vtols should be able to fight Toe to Toe with the Imperial Fleet...

Meanwhile in the Depths of the sea, the Torments sat...

"Captain, Should we begin the Assault?"

"Yes, Activate the MHD drives, Keep the Plasma Field up... Move us into Torpedo Range..."

The Torments slipped silently away from the Kraven fleet, using their MHD drives and their Plasma Fields, to effecivlty avoid sonar detection for a while, unfortunatly the plasma field gave off a large heat source, that unless the Sonar operaters knew to look for it, would make it very difficult to spot, but again further draw backs of this field, was to effectivly fire a torpedo at a target and expect it to hit, the field had to be brought down, the same for when using Sonar or Radar, effectivly Torment classes were invisible... but blind..

it would take a few more minutes for the Torment classes to reach the Combat zone....

The Darkthrone

"Admiral, The fleet reports its taken a bit of a hammering"

"Maintain position, Order all functioning ships to maintain the Bombardment... The Torment Classes should be Making their way towards the Target zone now...."

"As you wish Admiral"

OOC: No worries

Among the pounding of the guns and hissing of the launching missiles, came a distinct bleeping noise.

“Commander, Tacops system is tracking enemy missiles.”
“Take care of them Captain, alert all ships and activate the defense nets.”

Around the fleet the multi-stage advanced anti-missiles protections came online. They were Yallakian designed, as all things Imperial were, and very good at there intended purpose.
The Tacops computer showed the incoming missiles as white dots. As they approached, each ship would monitor them. Firstly, Aster missiles would be used to destroy them well out of range of the fleet and then the perimeter of frigates would use ESSM missiles, as they got closer. Finally any remaining missiles would have to run the gauntlet of CIWS systems packed onto every ship.
The captain watched the screen closely directing the fleet defenses. One by one the white dots on the display faded out, more and more dropping faster and faster as they got closer.

Of the few that finally got through, one slammed into the side of Viraat, though again its mighty thick armour resisted the impact, the massive ship barely registering the hit.

Another plowed into the side of frigate. The craft lurched hard to the side, like it had run into an invisible wall. It began to lean ever more to one side as water rushed into the whole fashioned just above the waterline by the Kraven missile.

A third weapon slammed into the front armour of a destroyer, though it caused terrible damage to the ships armour, little damage reached the interior of the vessel, and the destroyer remained active.

Shells continued to fall around the fleet and another hit found its mark on the Viraat, this time by a 670 mm shell hitting the side of one of the ships main gun turrets. The craft couldn’t laugh off the attack this round, as the side of the turret was torn open taking a piece of the deck with it too.

Dagon was unimpressed by this. In all his engagements, no enemy had succeeded in causing so much damage to an Imperial battleship.

“Order all Karak Battleships to target that floating annoyance”
“With pleasure, Commander”

All twenty five of the Karak-class battleships, each wielding twenty 713 mm guns, swung their weapons around to target the Darkthrone. A hail of depleted uranium shell fired at Kraven’s large ship would answer the damage inflicted on the Viraat.

Above the fleet, two thirds of the fighters broke off to engage the Kraven planes, though they would not leave the safety of the airspace above the Imperial fleet.
The other fighters, also remaining above the fleet, would come from the rear of the Yallakian position and fly towards the Kraven ships firing off a missile, then swing back around to repeat the process.

The Imperial ships continued to fire their guns, as yet another missile volley was launched.

Aboard the Kahanistan flagship RKS Imperium

General bin Jawala's quarters

"General, the Kraven fleet doesn't seem to be responding. What do we do?"

The general nodded. "Land the airships in the beach right in front of the Kraven fleet. Then deploy the Walkers and troops, but head straight for the Xirnium lines. If Kraven wants to engage Xirnium, they'll have to get through us, and I can still comply with my orders not to initiate battle with Kraven. Their ships outnumber us 60 to 1, but our ships are probably larger and better armed."

The airships opened their doors and dropped hundreds of thousands of soldiers and thousands of Walkers, four and a half meter tall two legged machines weighing sixteen metric tons, crewed by three, and armed with huge disruptor cannons. The ground troops headed away from the Kraven fleet, and headed for the Xirnium defenses.

Xirnium Lines

The Imperial transports had left well over an hour ago, heading back to take cover behind the fleet as it battled with the invading Kraven warships.

Six Legions had been dropped off, totaling well over a million men and they made haste to the frontline to boost Xirnium's defenses. With them came the standard compliment of battle tanks, MLRS, SAM and IFV’s. If Kraven made it to the shore, they would not last long.

The Admiral was looking, watching his fleet pound Yallaks, just witnessing a shell from The Darkthrone Rip apart one of the Main guns...

the Admiral was satisfied that everything was going well, until suddenly the roar of incomming shels alerted him to the fact, his ship was under direct fire...

Great plumes of water exploded into the air, as the first shell just missing the target crashed into the murky depths...

the second shell hammered into the Super structure of the ship, its Officers mess obliterated in one shot tearing apart the steel and armour...

"Commander!? What is Happening?"

"We have taken fire, damage is ligh...."

There was another screach of tearing metal, as a 3rd shell smashed into the rear of The Darkthrone..

follwed by another crippling blast to the foward Bow... the metal was twisted and torn, fragments of shell rained all around, as the Darkthrone began to list forward into the water...

"Close all forward doors, Seal chambers, put forward Bow into Lock down"

"Understood Commander.."

"Commander... " The Admiral spoke.. "Withdraw the darkthrone to the rear of the Fleet and have the Logistical ships begin repair..."

"As you wish Admiral...."

Rockets streaked from the attack aircraft that were harrassing the Cruisers and Destroyers, smashing into Smoke stacks, or turrets, some ships took the damage and laughed it off, but others took the damage hard... the surface of the sea was now begining to stain with thick black oil, like the very ships themselves were bleeding into the ocean...

Vtols ducked and dived, chasing the Attack air craft, their twin assault cannons flaring into life every so often, the Capitol Police pilot using his optical enhancements to gage where the enemy pilot was going to be, and using the smart link to guide his aim....

Meanwhile...

The Torment Classes had now reached the Target zone... Deactivating their Plasma Field... and comming to a halt...

"Captain, Target zone has been entered, Plasma field as been brought down, and we have come to a halt..."

"Communicate with the Tracking Ships"

"Tracking Ship 16... tracking ship 16..."

"This is tracking ship 16, Respond?"

"Relay Target co-ordinates of Opposing Fleet Command Vessel"

"Understood... Await Update"

The Torments waited the Coded transmission from the Tracking vessels...

"Wolf Pack, This is Tracking Ship 16, There is a lot of Radio traffic comming from the vessel, at Mark 66,55,44"

"Understood, Co-ordinates Confirmation.... 66,55,44..."

"Confirmed"

The torments targeted the Viraat... Torpedos armed with as much C12 that could be placed in the warhead of the torpedo, the blast from C12 under water would be enough to Crack the hull of any ship, while at the same time sending a plume of water higher than any shell, it was a weapon of Psychological warfare as well as blatant destruction...

"Mark 1"

"Marked"

"Fire"

The First torpedo was let loose, it floated a few meters out of the tube, before the turboprop activated, sending it screaming towards its target, arching upwards towards the Keel of the Viraat...

The other 11 Torments followed suit, launching the first salvo... hopefully this would be enough to decimate the Viraat and send it drifting to the depths below....

OOC: Lets continue, then once the Xirnium campaign is over, we can do part two on Kraven Soil, thats if your forces are willing to loose that part, I'don't have that many allies to help, im not sure where Mini or NOF are, but I don't mind slogging it out, my Phase 4's will balance it out a bit anyway :)
((OOC: Sorry bout that, I wasn't sure if you still wanted the agent released, and then I went home and became very busy visting certain 'friends' ( :fluffle: ) I just got consistant access to internet now, or rather in the not so distant past. Anyway, yes, I'm back and ready for whatever.))

Off the Coast of Xirnium

Shells continued to rain down and the air battle above had just begun, when a massive explosion blasted a torrent of water meters into the air next to the Viraat. The whole ships rocked under the blast. The sound of twisting metal filled the air as hull bent in under the force of the explosion.

The sudden appearance of the submarines had taken the occupied fleet off guard, and seconds later a second torpedo exploded against the hull further down the ship.

On the ships bridge, alert sirens blared noisily.

“Captain, hull integrity is failing, two hits on the starboard side.”
“Signal the Commander, high priority alert, and get those damn defenses a target to shoot at.

The crewman complied and the ships computers quickly picked up the remaining incoming torpedoes.

A third weapon struck the Viraat before the weapons could respond. Hitting almost next to the site of the original explosion, the hull armour finally gave in.

“Evacuate all nearby areas and seal of all open compartments.

Those who hadn’t died in the explosion, or couldn’t get out of the breached rooms in time were locked out as the emergency commands sealed all doors leading into flooding rooms. As they locked down the Sentry CIWS systems across the ship opened up, blasting the remaining torpedoes before they could reach the ship.

Supreme Commander Dagon watched from the bridge, as the reports from the Viraat poured in. As he looked, his face began to fill with concern. Although the Viraat was the smaller version of Yallak’s two battleship types, the weapons had proved more effective than he could have anticipated.

Suddenly, the battle outside died. The waters fell still and the Kraven Battlefleet began to withdraw.

“Sir, were picking up ViZion ships entering the area.”
“Unexpected…. But not unfortunate.”

The Guns of the Imperial Fleet fell silent. Fires burnt fiercely on several ships, and one frigate was all but sunk. The Viraat sat at a forty five degree angle in the water. It would take a lot of people and time to get that patched up properly.

The bridges intercom came alive too. Now that the battle was over, the other ships that had suffered minor damage began to make reports. Dagon, leaving his officers to deal with the smaller issues, left the bridge to make provision for repairing the Viraat and relieving its crew.

As he left he relayed a message to the ViZion forces.

Greetings from the Imperial Fleet. Reports from Yallak said we should not be expecting you – though we are glad you showed up anyway.

Greetings from the Imperial Fleet. Reports from Yallak said we should not be expecting you – though we are glad you showed up anyway.

You shouldn't have expected us. However, our government felt it of the utter most importance that the civilians of Xirnium be protected, no matter the standings with their government. And I must say, Xirnium is very lucky our government decided that, as they haven't been pleased.

Our government is trying to decide rather it leave it at this or to bring the war to Kraven Corporation's home. Until then, this is our intervention.

Xirnium Ecclesiastical News Service:

Across Xirnium, cathedrals have begun to ring their bells to celebrate the defeat of the foul Kraven Corporation during their disastrous invasion of Xirnium. We’re told that these bells will continue to ring nonstop for four days and four nights, commemorating this momentous occasion.

Preliminary reports from the front, as yet unverified, state that our most terrible and beneficent Lord God-Emperor himself, Quikzos IV, rode out on His divine winged stallion of victory across the waves to personally do battle with the apostate Kraven heretics, sweeping the demons before Him with alacrity. What are ships of fire and steel against the wrath of God? Truly our most sacred God-Emperor has delivered us from evil in our most desperate hour of need, as of course we of faith always knew He would.

Amidst the celebrations of victory the Grand Cardinals of the Ecclesiarch cautioned the devote that great trials remained ahead. They spoke of the Holy Land which even now is occupied by the filthy Kraven heathens and infidels, befouling that which they have stolen. The Ecclesiarchy has declared a Holy Jihad against the demonic Kraven Corporation, calling it a Satanic organisation and abomination which must be purged from the Earth. It is the call of the believers to kill the Kraven scourge and therefore gain access to life everlasting. Our most Holy crusade may never end until ever last Kraven scum lays dead at our feet!

Hail to the God-Emperor!
Quikzos IV

OOC: Since Kahanistan and Xirnium are allies now, I'm assuming that the prisoners from the Battle of Xigrat were released.

OCC:
Indeed yes, your troops were also Excommunicated, in absentia, from the Church as you had wished.

President Delain read over the press release in Xirnium. "The hell is this shit? How much brainwashing did they have to do to get these people to believe that crap? Can we hack into their network... get our own message to those people?" President Delain asked.

"I can get some people working on that right away, President." said one of the members from the VIIA. "We can make sure we get whatever message to those people you want." he said.

"Yes, get on it. We could use it. But don't disrupt what they are doing there... only open up a channel for future usage." the President said.

A message addressed to Xirnium was made;
We, and our allies, will be requiring the usage of your land during this conflict. Our forces will be landing soon enough to fend of Kraven and all other nations who attempt to invade you.

We also hope you are counting your lucky charms today; ViZion will normally have either left you for dead, or turned around and beat you to a pulp our selves after walking out on a meeting twice. However, our government is feeling overly generous - towards your people. If your people were not threatened in this, we would not be here.

Though Holy Zirnium and the unrepentant ViZion hypocrites were co-belligerents against the Satanic Kraven scum, do not mistake this for friendship or alliance. It is neither. You and your allies are no friends of Xirnium, and may not step foot on our most sacred land or befoul our Holy waters.

We consider ViZion a nation of hypocrites, liars and cowards, though we do not yet show hostility to you. You are the lesser of two evils, that which is most evil being Kraven and their filthy slave nations, but we do not consider you worthy of anything but our contempt.

With concern for your souls we pray that you do not anger us any further, or you shall truly feel the devine wrath of our most teribble Lord God-Emperor Quikzos IV.

OOC: Do the forums look odd tonight?, hmmm anyway, Im going to continue the attack on Xirnium

IC:

The Withdrawal of the Kraven fleet was mearly a feint a Kraven Battle language encrypted message from the High Command, instructing them to continue the attack regardless... The fall back was giving the Corporation enough time to regroup the fleet, before returning to the fray, Damage reports were made, while at the same time Capitol Police Crewmen continued to repair as much damage as possible, Arc welders roaring away as metal plates were welded over gaps, or added to the armour of Turrets... It would take some time, but the Capitol police would continue to work even while shells were raining down upon them...

The Torments continued to hunt the fleet of Yallak, Choosing carefully their next target, the Sonar and Radar fully functioning now the Plasma field was offline...

Hopefully this would cause enough confusion in the Imperial fleet for them to break off the attack and give the Corporation an opening to Land The Sturmpanzer units...

Each Torment, 12 in total broke off from their formation, each choosing a seperate target, One targeting one of the biggest ships in the fleet, while others chose at random, Picking out possible logistical ships, or Frigates.

"This is Commander of the Wolf pack, All torments are ordered to Engage the Imperial Fleet, choose Targets Carefully, Avoid if possible Conflict... Full Torpedo Spread.... Good Hunting...."

With the transmission cut, the Torments moved away, going after their targets...

As each one approached, All forward Torpedo tubes, 6 in each prep'd for launch, the keels of the Imperial fleet sat exposed and vulnerable...

"Captain, All torpedos are Armed and ready.."

"You may fire when ready"

the Emotionless form of a Capitol Police crewman, flicked the switch and a red light turned to green.... his black gloved hand moved to another set of switches, six in total and one by one he moved their position....

"Tube 1... Away"

"Tube 2... Away"

"Tube 3... Away"

"Tube 4... Away"

"Tube 5... Away"

"Tube 6... Away"

"All Tubes are Launched.."

The Captain awaited the Confirmation of the kill... This target was what was thought to be a Logistical support ship, while the Command Submarine was going after the Big Battleships of the Imperial fleet, hopefully a crippling blow to the Command chain of the fleet.

The Kraven fleet now prepared to make the turn around...

Maintaining their 4 tier defensive ring, and their fighter Cover, the fleet returned to do battle...

Inside the main guns of the Kraven Cruisers, Destroyers and frigates, Capitol Police crewmen Began changing the ammuntion, to a different type, it was a HE shell, with a tungsten steel Dart, designed to penetrate the armour, while maintaining the maximum explosive damage, however the shell had a series of Fins that would Deploy during flight, stabilising the shell and driving it towards the target with greater accuracy, however if the shell missed the target, the fins would effectivly become proximity sensors, so the Kraven fleet had either a High Explosive armour peircing shell... or an Anti Shipping mine...

The Corporations Aiming could now afford to be sloppy...

Pelican dropships soared across the ocean filled with soldiers and supplies. On almsot every dropship there was an A12 Tiger attached to the back or a KA16 Transport Truck inside. Itd be quite a long time before JDF would reach the battle, but they would surely make a difference. The Pelicans flew low almost silently. Pvt. James Falk of the 12th Mech. Marines stood at the edge of the ship looking out onto the ocean, the sun was out and there was not a cloud in the sky, 2 dolphins leaped out of the water, then making a splash as they went back down again. Minutes later, the sky turned brown, the sun was gone, and the smell of smoke and blood filled the air. "30 minutes!" A voice yelled out. The Pvt. clicked on his helmet and loaded his gun.

Onboard the USS Hekkel, The first ship to be made at the Hekkel Metropolis shipyards, crew were readying the ship for combat, machineguns were being loaded and landing boats were getting fileld with soldiers. Men took cups of water, maybe their last. The ship was still far behind the Pelicans, but the brown sky was still clear, they would soon be heading into this warzone, even if they were fighting for a nations government that was clearly racist. It wouldnt surprise anyone if one of Xirnium's allies turned...

OOC: Did I just miss the fighter attack, or is there more that I've missed since I last posted? My internet is a little spotty, so I'm having trouble keeping up with things right now.

IC:

The enemy fighters were boring in towards the Slammers airfleet, but they would not reach their targets unopposed, each fighter was targetd by a pair of missiles by the Ragnaroks, and, if they lasted long enough, they would be brought under fire by the Slammers V-TOLs that were taking to the air in defense of the fleet.

Even with the defensive fire, the fighters had gotten close enough to start taking a few shots, and 2 of the Ragnaroks were knocked out of the sky by the damage they sustained, others were damaged to a greater or lesser degree, but only those two were totally destroyed.
