In terms of the purpose that the International Mall serves for role plays, the I.M. is meant to provide a basis of legitimate technical development in role-plays where nations might come into conflict over sophistication or cost in developing normally very expensive or time consuming items (such as Superdreadnaughts, satellite networks, multi-million stockpiles of small arms, etc.).
