Drama Casserole Class Released!

Rumors of a massive ship, known only as Drama Casserole, have existed for sometime within New Dornalian newsgroups and clans of military nuts. There was indeed some truth to the wild rumors....but all thought the idea of a "System Dominance Ship" with the ability to pacify an entire system or group of systems BY ITSELF was BS.

However, the release of leaked documents on New Dornalia's infamous website thetruth.hn.nd forced the government to acknowledge the vessel's existence. Now, in all of its glory, is the Drama Casserole class.

Description: No official Photographs have been released. However, grainy stock footage and testimony from Navy officers indicates it is a mix between an Eclipse Star Destroyer, Nadeisco, and Spaceball 1. Size is ten kilometers long, 3 kilometers high, and 3 kilometers in width, and the vessel can seperate into four independent sections in case of emergency.

Drives: The ship is powered by no less than eight Singularity reactors (two per section), needed to power the many replicators and systems on ship. Output is classified, though estimates on the Jensen Papers (the documents leaked) suggest anywhere from 160,000 Terawatts per reactor to well over several million or even billion. The validity of this portion is in dispute, therefore, only time will tell. What is proven is that the ship uses the FTL-4 Pinball Wizard Bosun Jump Drive, inspired by reports of similar Gaian models and by "newly researched advances" (quoting the Jensen Papers directly, the rest is unknown) to allow the DC to enter a battle zone within minutes or seconds of activation. Travel time is estimated at 5 minutes to 2 minutes. Also, the engine reportedly must also be used only every so often (reports say about every hour to two hours, at least eight is preferred), as it uses lots of power to perform the needed processes. As such, standard FTL drives are used to help move the ship along when the Bosun Drives are resting. However, recent evidence is there to indicate newer upgrades to the Bosun Drive, discovered possibly at the Science Commissariat's Nirai Kanai expedition, have produced improvements that enable more freuqent use (OOC; this goes for all vessels.)

Weapons: Where to begin? 125 Demolisher Gun Trpile Turrets, 125 Ion Cannons, 700 Gauss Guns, 550 Anaconda Torpedo Launchers, and one Super Warp Cannon per section are reported. Space for at least 500,000-1,000,000 men in total exists. 10,000+ fighters and support units per section-check. Again, the carrying capacity is estimated, as the government isn't saying much. Supplies are estimated to be worth at least six months to a year for each section.

Shields: Each section has two Temporal Shield Generators, capable of handling both most beam and impact attacks (railgun slugs, torpedoes, etc.), total 8 generators on the ship, as well as Abblative armor that can be activated to provide further defense. Output is classified; even the Jensen Papers did not mention anything about that.

Speed: Estimated Hyperdrive Ratio is 4.5x (with conventional drives, nobody knows about the Bosun Drives). MGLT is 60.

Crew: Heavy automation has reduced the crew capacity to about 3,000-6,000 personnel, still an impressive amount for the People's Navy.

Costs: The Politburo's Military Oversight Commission has estimated that USD$40,000,000,000 is being spent on upkeep per ship. Each ship was worth about USD$2,000,000,000,000.

In service: Four (two in mothballs)- Battlestar Potemkin, Drama Casserole, St. Kalashnikov, and Warmaster St. Ushankov, plus at least several others in service, including Oliver Law.

bumpers, I seriousnly need help. Yes, it is a ridicuouls invention, but the sheer size and power is somewhat balanced by the enormous costs in men and power....I hope!

OOC: It's an in-joke...involves a Drama Camp, and me quoting Vice City.

Sweet ship. The idea of having it highly automated is a good idea so it cuts back on the crew.

Thanks! Never knew it'd be that good.

Crank up the cost a bit. 500 bil isn't really enough for a super dreadnought like this. I'd say 2-12 trillion?

OOC: I'm gonna be very selective about selling this ship. Of course....you willing to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement?
