Doujin prepares for war!

Doujin
30-09-2005, 10:32
Ever since the Empyrean went to war with the Siabra, Doujin has been silent. Without leadership, the Empyrean Society has kept to itself, merely running it's internal affairas and safe guarding the true magick that resides in Gholgoth. The war with the Siabra drained Doujin and it's people. The Queen of the Siabra severely hurt the Empyrean people with her death, putting the most powerful Empyrean, their leader, in a deep slumber to recover her strength and power lost from defeating Queen Cliodna, Overseer of the Unseelie Courts.

The Avatar of Gholgoth, however, would not remain silent for long. Gholgoth was threatend, and the magicks that ran deep in it's roots decided that it was time for the Avatar to return. While the Empyrean peoples aren't good or bad, they had a natural tendency towards what is good in life. Their dormant leader, however, was completely neutral. While she is a being of light, Ki'atra's decisions reflect what is best for the Empyrean people, Doujin, and Gholgoth first. Ki'atra's power is rooted in both the Empyrean people, and the land of Gholgoth. As such, her power generally has been from light, or the general good; despite the fact that Gholgoth has been overrun by evil and destructive forces.

The Imperial Compound

Sensing a distrubance, Empyrean Elder Orlov went to check on the body of Ki'atra. Since shimmering was not possible in the Atrium, Orlov had to make the trek by foot. Ki'atra was placed in her bed, located at the center of the Atrium, surounded by beautiful waterfalls, flowers, trees and various other animals and vegetation. The Atrium represente what was good in life, in essence the power of the Empyrean peoples. Orlov quickly crossed the bridge to the center, only to discover that Ki'atra was no longer there.

Damien's Chambers - Unknown

Lord Dreadfire was resting, battle armor close by as battle was near. The room was dark, and reeked of death. While this was not noticeable to most, it was very noticeable to Ki'atra as she appeared with a blinding light to have word with Damien. Started by the light, Damien reached for his sword blindly, grasping it only to ahve his hand burned black by the now fiery metal.

Ki'atra, keeping her identity concealed for the moment, spoke with a mystical voice - the voice one would imagine a God to have.

"Lord Damien, I am the Avatar. I am here to inform you that Doujin, your long silent ally, will aid you in order to protect that which is sacred. Gholgoth will NOT be threatened as so.

The light started to subside, and Lord Damien saw a familiar silhouette. A hand reached out, and gently took Damien's large, now charred hand. After a few seconds, Lord Damien felt a warm sensation, and then nothing. The hand set Damien's healed hand down, and retreated into the light and disappeared.

Lord Damien, startled, looked at his hand fully healed. Even the old battle scars were gone. Damien decided to reflect upon what just happened, and went for a somber walk. Soon, he will figure out who that mysterious "Avatar" was, and what business it had with Doujin and himself.

Back in the Chamber of Wisdom, the Empyrean Elders were waiting. They were waiting for Empress Ki'atra to return and to take control of the mighty Empyrean Society once more. Their wait, however, was rather short. She appeared in a brilliant flash of light, and the Chamber immediately erupted with the booming voices of the Elders.

"SILENCE!" commanded Ki'atra.

And in that second, the entire Chamber became silent.

"I have complex orders, and while many of you have questions I am unable to answer them at this time. I am pleased how our nation and peoples were governed during my forced slumber, but now it is time to aide our allies and Gholgoth itself. The Reaver, now completed, is to be launched. Four thousand vessels are to be put to sea in the defence of Gholgoth. I have no doubt that intelligence on the situation has been gathered, through the aging Atlantis Network and our allies. Go, now, and deploy our forces in a way to ensure our victory over our newfound enemies."

With that, numerous Elders shimmered away, carrying out their orders and undergoing the enormous task of preparing a Fleet Command to be deployed. Though Doujin has changed hands in leadership, it's core naval doctrine has remained the same. Hit the enemy, hit 'em hard, leave nothing left.

Doujin Naval Command

The water was cool and silent, with a luminous reflection of the nights moon. Ordinarily, this would be a regular night outside the Doujin Naval Command. But this was anything but an ordinary night. Under the cover of darkness, the successor of the Doujin Superdreadnought would be launched. The large cavernous dry-dock, one of the largest in the world, started filling with water as the DN Reaver prepared to launch. Fifty nautical miles away, a decoy system was set up to mimic the launch of this large vesselin an attempt to hide the real location of the dry-dock. Outside of the decoy, a large fleet formation of roughly 700 vessels were waiting for the mighty Reaver to join it.

Roughly two thousand vessels have been mobilized, almost half the force that the great Empress ordered. Slicing through the waters of Gholgoth, the two fleets took formation preparing for the entire Fleet Command to assemble. In total, their would be four fleets of roughly one thousand ships each, and then the Fleet Command that coordinated all efforts for all vessels mobilized for this task. At the center of it all, is the DN Reaver. The first of it's class.
