Well, since I just love jumping on the bandwagon, I thought it'd be nice to give you an opportunity to pick my brain about National Commonwealth and what we really stand for.

It also seems like my wiki page created a lot more questions than it answered, so yea, I'd like to clear any confusion about that stuff up. Ask away! :D

I must know, what does the National Commenwealth stand for? Are you new? What kind of army do you have?

*Yay, first to post!*

Well, what we stand for...that's a pretty difficult question.

I kinda think of it as a liberalized version of the RL U.S., "Europeanized" almost, but it has slowly been leaning away from social programs. It generally stands for a great amount of civil liberty and democratic sovereignty but likes to focus on economic might. Specifically corporate welfare. RNC believes that if you prop up industry, the benefits will rain over the entire country but you still can't leave the little guy out on the street. Minorities and the poor must be protected and cannot be marginalized for the good of industry or an overactive majority. At the same time we believe in hard work and having a huge, resourceful millitary. :)

I think it's really funny that a "peace loving" nation like National Commonwealth has compulsory millitary service and a motto (Per Ardua Ad Astra Vi Et Armis) that means "To the Stars by Force and Arms" yet it is all part of the basic disciplinary attitude of National Commonwelath.

And the millitary is mainly a postmodern-future tech force with a space command. Let me know if you want me to go into more detail.

We are pretty new, but have been around long enough to see how things go in NS. RNC was inactive from around Dec. 04 - July 05, but has made a strong return.

What does it think of Southeastasia and its leader?

National Commonwealth currently has a limited view of Southeastasia, however it is seen from afar as a generally positive nation with a strong and principled leadership. Our people have not had much direct contact, but public opinion holds you in high regard.

Even so, RNC is an extremely loyal nation that repects its allies before all others, no matter how corrupt they be (i.e. JC). Honestly, our high regard for Southeastasia's leadership and its circumstances in recent conflicts with our allies have prevented us from moving to declare war against your honorable state, but we don't really know you, so we must aid our "friends" first.

Perhaps you would establish relations with us (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=445960) so that we might be able to work through this matter?

While i'm bored...
What does the RNC think of the Soviet Union [of Hogsweat]?
National Commonwealth

Well, while we don't necessarily like its policies and ideals, we like the people and ethic of Hogsweat. It's a great place to visit, but we wouldn't want to live there.

We do wish we could do more trade with the Soviet Union, but at the same time the people have a certain contempt for countries with limited civil liberty. Nevertheless, there is great respect for Hogsweat among Republisains (citizens of RNC).

What does it think of Bastion Prime?
National Commonwealth
10-10-2005, 04:23
We are more suspicious of Bastion Prime than anything else. We also think they spend too much money on space fleets and not enough on their citizens. We don't like the way they treat their citizenry either. Generally, we see them as our foil, basically the opposite of what we stand for most of the time, but their military leadership is quite respectable.

*laughs* We've been into their country before, and have had regular contacts with their citizens (embassy exchanging). They adore their civil rights and the fact that the economy is great, but the reason why Bastioners come into our country is because of the lack of political freedoms. The government acts like a parent you see....

Well, we find that our economy and the people benefit more from being able make their own choices. That puts us at odds, but who cares, we've got more money! Yay!

When are you going to post a profile of your space fighters? You detail your space capital ships, but not those.
