Got an original political/religious ideology? New nation looking to adopt/corrupt it!

How to say this?
Pyeki is going to be a highly motivated society, with nationalism and militarism running at wholly unhealthy highs. But rather than invent some new cult or something about which no other nations or player care, I'd like to find something that already exists out there in the world and..... warp it to Pyeki's own ends :) I need something that the elite here can use to unite the population and inject a lasting zeal.

Like Albania picking-up Stalinism or Germany adapting Fascism or old European kings converting to Christianity, I wonder, is there in Nation States a movement that I might co-opt?

Pyeki is going to be almost incomperably authoritarian in structure, backwards in many regards, and its people largely isolated, all of which will presumably have a part to play in what things we can and can't get enthusiastic about.

You and your nation may not get anything directly from us adopting or corrupting your hard-researched political/religious/economic movement, except perhaps the satisfaction of having had your efforts noticed and ideas spread (even if you end up spinning faster than Marx in his grave after what we do to your ideas). If your nation despises the fact that someone abused their deepest beliefs for personal gain, well you can make a new enemy. If they're delighted about someone else seeing the light, perhaps a (bad-tempered shut-in) friend.

So, any suggestions or ideas?

OOC: Well, I'd love to suggest Wenaism, my state religion, but:

- I haven't worked out enough about it yet;
- it's exclusive to Gruenberg at present, so other nations wouldn't understand it, really.

This is an interesting idea, though. Good luck.

There is the religon Floydism, see here (http://ns.goobergunch.net/wiki/index.php/Holy_Church_of_Floyd), a left leaning religon but it's all good.

-Thanks anyway, Gruenberg.

-Wow, that's all pretty impressive, Spooty. But I wouldn't feel right about using it since I don't know anything about Pink Floyd, really (and I hang my head in shame, of course!).

A little bit more information about Pyeki:

The nation is almost entirely homogeneous in ethnic terms, with over 99% of the population being Pyekan, which is an East Asian race.

There are no recent strong traditions of a religious sort, with most people holding fairly vague local beliefs of a generally spiritual nature.

The economy has been in no small part about subsistence agriculture, and this is one of the things that is to be changed by an enthusiastic commitment to a new ideology that will be used as both carrot and stick by the ambitious elite.

I'd suggest searching the NS wiki for something you like:

I would offer you the choice of going into the Cult of the Great, but to do that you have to donate all material posessions to the leader.

The basis of the religion if you are sucessful in this life you will be well off in the next. The donation at the beginning is to ensure people start fresh without anything else.
Many people call this a brainwashing cult but those are ignorant.

Well, if we were to adopt that Cult of the Great, we wouldn't donate a thing to anyone abroad, rather the Pyeki elite would probably set themselves up as copy-cat leaders here.

Hm. There's a lot of religions going on, hey? I don't know where to start! Well, I'll keep an eye out: we probably would do well to copy the movement of an active and already powerful/influential nation, but we'll see.

you could try my brand of socialism

it has the ability to do incredable things in a really short time just by appealing to the workers the necesity of doing so.

it works
