"Good evening viewers. I'm Sam Boricia and this is a breaking news report. Just outside the city, at the West Acoria Spacefaring Zone, the first manned space-shuttle mission, SO1, is being prepared for lift-off. Over to our science reporter, Anita Carson, who has been cleared to report."
"Thank you Sam. This is, of course, the first time a Random Kingdom spacecraft will enter space on an observational mission. However, it is likely that the shuttle will pass Colony One and release supplies too. The crew of the newly-built Ark A1B, a streamlined version of the original A1 core built specially for short-distance missions, will be: Aaron Mendelson, Sandra Corlean, Calina Bordelam, Darren and Adrian Similan, and the geckoid pilot Rolan. The ship is entering countdown..."

The streamlined jet's EPDs suddenly fired below ground, propelling the jet up the support towers, which began to disconnect and retract into the ground, with the elevator platform and cables. Some time later, the space shuttle's own engines extended out of the EPD and kicked in, and the EPD retracted into the builtin caddy.
