Conflict: Manium
To: The Island of Rose
From: The Constitutional Imperium of Nycton
"Because of historical relations with TIOR we ask that the nation respects the Nycton demands. Over the past many months, Nycton has been isolated from the world. The leadership of Imperator Valteen II has changed the nation to more of a privatized military workhorse. It is only a matter of time before expansion is needed. Some time ago, West Augustin was ceded to TIOR because of Nycton's inability to control lands in such far distances. We are gracious of Rose's ability to barrow this land from it, but we rightfully ask for it back. We shall give you 48 hours before the 5 Armoured Marine Legions begin the occupy the territory.
As a second demand, Field Marshal Romulas has ordered that Donathatopia claims any nuetral land from around the colony and decently sized strip of land all the way to the body of water in Manium. If this is not acheived, all shipping will cease through the canal and any foreign vessels will be sunk."
As of now the Nycton government is releasing some stats of the military force in the area. A major fleet sits offshore out of North Augustin. A total of 500,000 military personel is located in Nycton-Augustin, N. and S. Augustin.
120,000 is located in Donathatopia, which remains one of the most fortified positions in Manium. The reactions of other Manium nation's is awaited.
(If you do not understand much of this, I one of the first colonists of Manium.)

Tom Brockton sat at his desk in the makeshift presidential mansion in Bonham. Construction crews were working night and day to repair the damage inflicted by Panteran and Sarzonian rounds during the Sarz-Panteran War, but the former Governor's Mansion was among the last of the priorities for the contractors hired to rebuild damaged buildings.
He couldn't believe the events that led him to this point. Pantera declared war on Sarzonia ostensibly to free Branwyn, but political analysts said the Panterans intended to keep Branwyn for themselves. After the Sandstone Accords, however, Branwyn was a free and independent nation, and despite Pantera's support of Branwyn's "independence movement," Brockton and The Assembly chose to cast their lot with Sarzonia.
The Branwynian militia, so unpredictable facing the feared Reavers, had accquitted themselves admirably and stood toe to toe with Panterans. Branwyn had a plethora of heroes to hang their collective hats on thanks to the determined effort they gave against near impossible odds.
Now, Brockton grimaced as he read the communicade demanding the return of land to Nycton. Brockton shook his head. His nation's military was still small and trying to retool after the war. But he couldn't sit idly by and let at least a nominal ally of Sarzonia's, and now Branwyn's, to be talked down to by this "Nycton." He walked to the press room and issued a statement.
"Today, the Imperium of Nycton has issued threats to The Island of Rose, an ally of Branwyn's. We condemn these threats as a prelude to military action and we strongly advise Nycton to stand down from these outrageous demands.
"Failure to adhere to these demands will result in an appropriate response from our government."
Following the speech, Brockton picked up the phone and called the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
"It's time to call up the reserves and am mobilising the regulars," Brockton said. "I want battle plans," he said, walking briskly out of the room as a matter of shutting down debate. The Joint Chiefs of Staff rolled their collective eyes at Brockton, who seemed to be letting the success against Pantera get to his head. But Branwynians were made of tough stuff, and Brockton knew it. If any recent country could pull it off, it'd be Branwyn.
[OOC notes: 1) I've named the now-former colony Branwyn, but had to name it Branwynn in the NS creation screen because Branwyn was already taken. And I created this nation to use it for sporadic RPing.]
Nycton awaited.
The total occupation force of 50,000 men consisted of the 5 Armoured Legions. It contained 840 NT-12 Triarri Tanks awaited on the boarder. The Trarri was super tank so to speak. Only 5,000 are in use by the Nycton Marines. The Army Legions which consisted 1,260 T1a2 Achilles tanks.
Low flying aircraft has been spotted frequently over the boarder and the 3rd Grand Fleet has been spotted moving a upward of 300 ships into TIOR national waters. The ships are not in any way of a threatening manouver.
2 Mobile Infantry Legions and 1 Light Armoured Division has moved to crown the northern boarder of Donathatopia.

Admiral John Lugar shook his head when he looked at the satellite images of Nycton's advance.
"Seems those buggers don't take no for an answer," he said as he watched the advance.
"What do we have in the area," Brockton asked, fearing the response from the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
"Right now, we'll be lucky to get one brigade into the area within two days. We can get a full division of troops into the area, but it'd take several weeks," Army General Kieran MacKenzie said. "That's going to leave Branwyn to be defended by the Sarzonian and Panteran armies until the other Parishes get their militia up to speed."
"This looks like a lightning strike by Nycton," Air Force General Chet Barkley said. "They probably expect to just roll right in and take the place with impunity. Hopefully, we can be just enough of a speed bump to buy enough time Rosian forces or the colonial military to intervene."
"But what if we fail," MacKenzie asked. "If we fail, we run the risk of getting taken over ourselves."
"We've got a non-aggression pact with Sarzonia that's going through The Assembly," Brockton said. "I hear Sarzonia's House of Delegates has just ratified the document. We can try diplomatic channels and demonstrate that we're doing everything we can to secure a peaceful settlement and if Nycton tries to attack, they'll have to face Sarzonia as well."
"Sarzonia is getting ready to pull out its corps at your behest Mister President," Barkley replied. "What are you going to do, say 'uh, never mind,' and keep them? They're not our troops and we're no longer under Sarzonia's protection. They're not going to be too keen on stepping in."
Brockton stood up and walked toward the window in the makeshift situtation room, shaking his head slowly as he looked out at the wartorn countryside. The remnants of the Second War of Independence* were there for all Branwynians to see. The Presidential mansion was under construction, along with Assembly Hall. MPs with Sarzonian and Branwynian uniforms were patrolling the streets with M-8 rifles resting on the right shoulders of a good majority of them.
Until Branwyn fully got on its feet as an independent nation, it would have to demonstrate this show of force to dissuade elements like the Restore Sarzonia Task Force. And even though the Sarzonian president pardoned the Branwynian freedom fighters, Brockton was leery of entrusting them to protect the country while the regulars were off to a new objective. Now it was looking as though war might be in the offing. Unless Brockton managed to convince Nycton to put a halt to its aggressive plans. But so far, it looked as though Nycton wasn't keen on diplomacy.
"Continue the mobilisation," Brockton said. "I'll give it one final shot at diplomacy." He walked toward the communications office and typed out one more message to Nycton's leadership.
We notice the Nycton military has chosen to ignore our pleas for your country not to try to overrun the colony or threaten Rosian territory. To express our extreme displeasure with this action, we are recalling any and all diplomatic and consular staff from Nycton and her territories. In addition, we are instructing all citizens of Nycton to leave Branwynian territory within 72 hours or they will be placed in confinement.
We would still prefer a diplomatic solution to this, but we are realists. We are mobilising our military to support our Rosian allies. No good can come from your nation's imperialist aims.
Brockton then typed out a command to the First Expeditionary Squadron, including a brigade of Branwynian troops. Forty new-built SZ-20 'Valkyrie' strike fighters took off to search for potential targets whilst the nation mobilised for war yet again.
Field Marshal Romulas
To: Brockton
I see why this may cause displeasure within your nation. You may not know the full story. Me and Rose go long back when the region of 'The New Roman Empire.' Our nation is of great friendly relations. When Valteen the I, first Imperator of the Constitutional Imperium went insane, he pulled most troops from Manium for more control over the homeland. After Imperator Valteen II tookk power, he ceded the western lands to Rose because we could not handle it at the time. All we are doing is asking our rightfully claimed land back. It was ours in the first place, Rose essentally 'borrowed' it. For your sake, I have called off all troops in Donathatopia, but we want our land back. If that means force, so be it. The nation of Nycton is willing to go for a full scale war if need be. We are not playing around.

Official Statement from New Roska
We will gladly give the land we have borrowed back to the Imperium. Of course they have gotten used to being a free Republic under Rosian control, so we'd like to issue a referendum to the Republic of New Roska to see if they are willing to give up seats in the United Imperial Assembldy in return to be ruled under Imperium Control. Now, we also condemn the fact that the Nyctonian Government had to send so many armed men to get back the Colony. We are allies! You do not need to send armed men to get your land back.
We are insulted by this gesture, but we will gladly forgive you anyway. But to the point, let the Imperial Republic of New Roska's Citizens of the Roskani Nova Province decide if they wants to be Rosians, or Nyctonians. We don't need a rebellion on our hands do we? You'd still get your lands back, but you get to prepare just in case. So it's a win-win situation.
But we still utterly condemn the use of force on an ally. It's sad that it had to come to this.

The Holy Empire of Saint Fedski has called up 8000 reserves. 4000 Frontline troops have been dispatched as well as 3000 of the reserves on a salvaged cruise liner. 10 A4 Skyhawk fighters are on standby.
On the next shipment: 20 M113A2 APC's. 15 Heavy trucks. And surplus weapons and ammunition.
A fleet of 10 Halifax Class frigates are currently sailing at full steam to the island. A skeleton crew is manning them and will provide training to your nation. (No cost aside from your friendship)
If there is anything else you may need, just ask and we will get it there.

The Imperial Union is a Naval superpower so I doubt we will need the extra ships. We also have enough men to stage a good defence, and besides, the situation is over. Thank you, but no thank you.

We are sorry for such a hostile threat. We would wish to appologize and give a small offering to the Rosian's who were affective because of it. Nycton was not aware of a fully drawn out alliance between our two nations since the breakup of The New Roman Empire, but now our nation has realised that a alliance does and for now forth exist between our two nations. Once again, we are sorry.

Very Well. Our Task Force has been called back an redeployed elsewhere. We hope that in the future our two nations can set up a diplomatic relationship with embassies and the like. Remember that if you find yourself being invaded and in need of an ally, the Holy Empire of Saint Fedski is here to help.

The boarders were silent. No troops crossed. The eerie sound of silence sat over soldiers on both sides of the boarder. Roski troops waited for the invasion, and Nycton troops waited for the orders. No orders would come.

We would like to this the land a counter offer. We want it free or under our control. It was our land rightfully, but we are willing to grant it's freedom like North and South Augustin. It shall be known as West Augustin if granted freedom. A joint military police effort can take place until a hybrid version of our governments can take shape. What does this sound?
