It actually looks pretty good. Just fit it with radar, jammers, and long-range missiles. The sidewinder only has an effective range of about 5 miles, but the AMRAAM has an effective range from 10-20 miles and a max range of 60 or so miles.

I use Microwave Radar for my ships and fighters, specifically because Microwaves go through things the last time I heard. So, its not entirely impossible for burst of Microwaves to pick up objects.

I placed variation varies to say that I will use many types of missiles, so, you know.

Anywho, thanks for the comments and techie stuff Athiesism. I've open the door for critism and I'm waiting for the big guy's to walk in. XD

Are you basing this fighter off the 1960s era Starfigher plane? Get something more manueverable. It dosen't have to be fast at all, just maneuverable.

By the way, you forgot to put up the range. Most fighters have a max range of 1,000-2,000 miles, but that's only flying slow with fuel tanks and no weapons. A combat round-trip is usually about 500 miles.

I mainly use this design for space combat, and thats why I based it off a 1960's era fighter. It's not too bulky, and I would bet it could turn on a dime when you use manuvering jets.

Yes, I will put up the range, once I calculate how much the frakkin powerplant consumes in energy.

However, for Planetary combat I use MT Fighters, so basically this is designed for SPACE COMBAT. I need to put that up there...

Overall, I believe I would need to modify it completely to use it for space combat, and not leave things on it that belong in the Skies above planets.

Right now, I'm trying to get everyones opinion on it for the specific reason that I may indeed create another Starfighter for my own purposes.
