At 0700hrs Paratroops from the 1st ParaBrigade of the Huahinian Air Force Regiment were dropped from C-130Js. The latest reports say that little opposition is currently present and negotiations are ongoing to ensure the safety of Papal domestic staff. The Pope himself is under the protection of a crack team of Huahinian troops, until everything was safe. The reason for the invasion was the mistreating of Papal funds by TKT troops, who had been funding their own vices.

Meanwhile, in Israel, forces from the Black Sea had been bombarding TKT positions on the coast. Landings by sea or air were currently impossible due to the highly effective ring of security set up by TKT. However, factions who were against TKT occupation had been funded by the Huahinian Gov't, and were ready to spring into action...
As Uri Goldstein pulled the detonator, the powerstation went down, and as his small group of men rushed to take out the back up generators, the automated defence system kicked in. A grenade was all it took in the end, but the men were massacred. However, now it would be possible to attempt a small scale landing, in the north, at night...

TKT is on vacation mode... you do know this, right? Anyway, the Divine Empire will help fund the campaign and provide weapons and supplies to your troops as best we can.

The nation of The Knight Templars has again descended into chaos, and again Elephantum must protect it from its enemies. We currently have six divisions (ooc-see here (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=9477227&postcount=112) for brief overview) in Israel to help defend against Cottish attack. They will move to secure the region. Huahinian forces will be told to leave Israeli waters, land, and airspace within the next twenty-four hours to prevent military action from becoming neccessary. As a precaution, troops in Iran and Kurdistan have been told to be wary of attack.

(ooc-TKT was a great ally, and I will move to stabilize the area, and will go to war if need be. TLS, another ally, would likely move to help me, or to get a foothold in Israel)

OOC-TKT has been away more than 21 days, and his land is subject to Decree 13 I think.

The Gov't of Huahin welcomes Kreynoria, and encourages others to come forward for the defence of Israel.

In the Vatican, a few desparate gunfights were still going on, with TKT troops attempting to loot the many treasures of the land whilst they could, before fleeing. Many items had been recovered, but still the TKT troops came.
An ultimatum was issued to them, telling them to leave in the next five hours, before more troops arrive. According to Huahinian sources, the Pope was alive and well, and was due to address the people in the next few hours.

In Israel, firing had currently stopped, whilst PR9's flew over to determine Elephantum positions, which they wished to avoid. This conflict was to rid Israel of the corrupt Gov't, and it was hoped that Elephantum troops would withdraw peacefully.

Message to all nations:
Regarding the situation of Israel, we wish to free this area from its oppressors, who are the troops and authorites from the now defunct TKT. Any nation wishing to help us will have our full support in any of their future missions, providing it is not against an ally of ours (OOC - I think that's just Squornshelous and Kreynoria...). In any case, we hope no other nation takes up arms against us in the struggle to restore freedom to Israel.

Cottish forces, more specifically the 22nd and 31st Armored Divisions and the 56th, 59th and 86th Mechanized Infantry Divisions, accompanied by the 2nd Combat Engineer Brigade and the 7th Medical Brigade will deploy inside Israel and assist Elephanti and Carthaginian forces in kicking out the invading infidels that are Huahin. Assorted Air Force and Navy units will also move in and assist in taking out the enemy.

The alliance between the Empire and the TKT may not have been well advertised or very binding but the Empire has always looked favorably upon TKT. The Empire condemns this attack.

Any help in protecting these holy lands would be much appreciated. Around half of Elephantis are people of the Book, and preventing these holy sites from being desecrated like the Vatican. Unknown aircraft, probably C-141s, have been detected in Israeli airspace. We fear they may have begun dropping troops into Israel.

The attack appears to be coming from the north, far from our positions. We will move all divisions, except the one in Elat, towards the coast and northward. The division in Elat will stay put to defend the Gulf of Aqaba. Aircraft from Jordan will begin patrolling the skies this afternoon.

We would ask both Carthage and Coltand for miliary help. Both nations have been great allies, and we have rarely quarreled. We would ask both nations to help in the air and on the ground. Carthaginians from Syria can probably reach Haifa, Nakko, and Nazareth before we will, and would help push the Huahinians out, unless they stand down. We would also ask for naval patrols off the coast. Our nearest naval presence is in the Gulf of Oman, and would take too long to arrive.

If need be, planes and troops from Kurdistan and Iran will launch attacks on Huahin in Armenia and Georgia. Any and all means are neccessary to prevent the atrocity of the Vatican and kidnapping of the Pope from occuring in Jerusalem, Nazareth, Jericho, Bethlehem, and all the other holy sites.

The Empire does not look kindly upon the invasion of Israel. The Knight Templars always treated the Empire with respect and vice versa. We condemn this attack and feel that your actions could justify retaliation from the Empire.

On the border between Egypt and Israel, at the same time, more than 800 M2026A1 Imperator main battle tanks started their engines and started rolling into Israel. The few guards there greeted them, knowing that they were heading up to defend their land. The plan was to link up with the Elephantis and Carthaginians just north of Bersheeba, and then take orders from the Elephantis, who seemed to be the ones taking control of the sitation. The Imperators were followed by a few thousand M2027A2 Viking infantry fighting vehicles and countless support vehicles, SAM vehicles and artillery units. The VII Corps were out and ready to kill!

In the skies above, a total of 96 F-22B Raptor air supremacy fighters and 36 FB-22A Manta light bombers were in the air, laden with ordinance. They were heading towards Israel, aiming to protect the Holy Land from the invading infidels that were Huahin.

Just off the city of Al 'Arish, two UH-60L Blackhawks and two AH-75B Stalkers were sitting on the ground, waiting. Inside the two transport helicopters were the commander of VII Corps, Lieutenant General Daniel Johnsen, two Brigader Generals and seven other staff members and communications specialists, as well as radio equipment with the Cottish communications codes installed. They were going to be the liasons to the Elephanti and Carthaginians. All they needed was a go-ahead from the Elephanti government and a destination.

In Iran, aircraft were moblized, but not sent into the air. However, a final ultimatum was sent to Huahin.

At midnight tonight (5:00 AM Greenwich), if you have not formally backed down, we will be forced to declare war.

Your help is greatly appreciated. While the main Huahinian attack is concentrated in the north, some groups, probably Huahinian paratroops (ooc-the Brydogs), are operating in Gaza and the West Bank, trying to incite religious war. We are in the proccess of guaranteeing air support, and divisions in the West Bank are moving to stop those paratroops. We would ask Cotland to move their troops north towards the city of Gaza, stopping any subversive movements encountered. If the Huahinians continue the attack, it would be advisable to join our forces up near Tel Aviv, where much of our Southern divisions are currently moving towards. The nothern forces are under orders to move on Haifa after taking care of Huahinian paratroops in the West Bank.

Attention, People of Palestain and Israel. I Col. Paul Fredrick, annonce our goal. We are here to kick out Carthaginian, Cottish,Templar, and Huahinian forces from this land and to give you your freedom. When our mission is done, my forces will leave and you will be free from any nation expect yours. He then prepared for the backlash.

We would like you to know that we have already begun evacuating all our military and equipment from the island in preparation for your arrival. All fixed structures will remain should you need them. As this Island was only for military use, our evacuation will be complete within 36hrs, when we will hand control over to you.

Open Communique to the World

Whilst the Empire does not look favorably upon the incursions into Israel by Huahin, it is our stance that this matter does not concern the Empire and we shall remain, effectively neutral.

The Huahinians showed no sign of surreneder, and an official declaration of war, along with a Flag Act, were passed against them. Also, in light of their aid, the Flag Act against Cotland was repealed, the first to ever be repealed.

Troops on the ground had heard about these Brydogs in Israel, and a declaration of war and Flag Act were passed against them.

In Iran, planes began leaving for missions in Georgia and Armenia. The 9th Recon Wing would conduct intelligence gathering missions, while the 10th Combat Wing attacked hostile forces. They would be backed up by the 13th Bombing Wing and 5th Electronic Wing. The Bombers would attack military installations, while the 5th would help coordinate movements. Army units have not been dispatched north yet.

While there were only around 500 Brydogs in Israel, it was a large area to search, and all units were put on alert.

The Elephanti request arrived to the Cottish divisions, and immediately they shifted direction, now heading for the Gaza Strip. The Palestinians were known for their rashness and the eagerness to grab to arms if they felt like it. That was why the soldiers prepared for urban combat as well as conventional combat. The dismounts in the Viking IFVs were checking their weapons, and the crews of the Imperators prepared their 120 mm ETC cannons and machine guns while the crews of the Vikings checked and prepared their 30 mm chainguns, TOW missiles and machine guns.

After a nights worth of intense driving, the scouting elements were at Gaza. It wasn't much firepower there yet, as the scouts consisted of two M2027A2 Viking IFVs with eight dismounts each, and three M2008A1 Dingo APVs with two crewmembers and two dismounts each. Although the Vikings had both a 30 mm chaingun and four TOW missiles at the ready with another eight in the back each in addition to the machine guns, and the Dingos had the Mk-19 Mod 4 40 mm automatic grenade launcher or the BTR-15 15,5 x 105 mm heavy machine gun mounted, it was nothing compared to the tanks, IFVs, artillery and helicopters that were two hours behind. Still, the dismounts had exited their vehicles and were now sneaking around, gathering as much intelligence as possible. Near the headquarters of the PLO, the scouts detected M-67 trucks with Brydogian markings. When that had been seen, they pulled back quickly and quietly, and radioed in their findings. Soon after, a flash message went out to the allied forces.

Three hours later, the Cottish divisions had surrounded Gaza and artillery had been set up. A single M2008A1 Dingo drove down to the PLO headquarters under a white flag of truce, carrying a message to the Brydogians.

Anyway.



Giant C-225 transport planes, the biggest in the world, were dropping off supplies, paratroops, and ultra-light weight tanks, which were parachuted in. GH-8 (RL:K-52) Helicoptors were now patrolling the ground around the Negev, and were holding, whilst Brydog's forces took the Gaza Strip. Heavy troop loses had been incurred, yet the troops were desparate to hold on to these Holy Lands.

A flight of four Cottish F-22B Raptor air superiority fighters were operating in the area over Negev, supported by a E-767 AWACS and an KC-10B Extender refuelling aircraft flying a bit behind the lines and supported by three F-15Cs belonging to the Egyptian Air National Guard. Anyway, the F-22s were armed to the teeth with four AIM-9X Sidewinders, six AIM-120D AMRAAMs and 480 shells for the 20 mm M61A2 Vulcan cannon mounted in the nose each, and although the large weapons load enabled the enemy to see them, they were cruising in an altitude of 38 000 feet with their radars off. They didn't really need them, as the data from the powerful radar on the E-767 guided the planes via the datalink system that the Cots had dubbed Link-22. It enabled real-time data to be sent to all units equipped with propper equipment to accept the data, and it was being issued to all Cottish military units, starting with aircraft and naval vessels. The operator on the E-767 detected the large radar signatures from the Huahinian transport aircraft, and immediately checked the scope. The closest flight was Eagle Red flight, the four F-22s.

"Eagle Red one, this is Heaven three. Bandits at your four o'clock low. No friendly traffic has been reported, but we don't want an incident. Close and identify. Over."

The pilot of the lead F-22B, a Major in the Imperial Cottish Air Force looked at his radar scope and detected the contacts, seventy-four nautical miles / 137 kilometers away. Just out of range for the AMRAAMs, but that was easy to correct. There were some low-flying contacts too, moving very slowly. Too slow to be planes, so probably helicopters.

"Heaven three, Eagle Red one. Copy bandits, range seven four miles. Moving into range. Out." Then he hailed his wingmates. "Red flight, this is lead. We've got orders. Form up on me. Acknowledge."

"Two, copy that."

"Three, wilco."

"Four, copy roger."

The four F-22s joined in a close formation and went to full military power, taking advantage of the supercruise funtion that the improved twin F-119-PW-100 engines offered to go supersonic without needing to kick in the afterburner, saving fuel. After fifteen miles, they were within range for the AMRAAMs, the primary weapon of the F-22, but they needed to identify the planes before they could shoot. That would mean moving in to a range of fifteen nautical miles, close enough to be at risk from SAM sites. Fortunately the fighters were operating from a high altitude, and they were well loaded with chaff and flares.

Huahinian Fighters were patrolling the skies. These fighters were F-3s (RL:F-16XL), and were conducting long range sweeps ensuring the safety of the transports. They were armed with two Meteor missiles. The Meteor's ramjet propulsion system ensures a range in excess of 100 km and a speed of more than Mach 4. Even when launched from extreme stand-off ranges, the missile has the energy in the end game to defeat fast, manoeuvring targets. To ensure total target destruction, the missile are equipped with both proximity and impact fuzes and a fragmentation warhead that is detonated at the optimum point to maximise lethality.

The Major looked down at the radar screen and detected the new contacts, and chose the AIM-120D AMRAAM. He had six of those missiles, and they were within range. He also had clearance to release weapons, so he confirmed the message.

Two seconds later, a lot of radio chatter was recorded, mostly "Fox two, fox two" and such. At the same time, two AMRAAMs were fired on each of the enemy fighters from the F-22s. At the same time, the AWACS called in reinforcements. Eight more F-22Bs and twelve F-15Cs, all equipped with air to air weaponry. The F-15s carried four AIM-54D Pheonix missiles in addition to their AMRAAMs and Sidewinders. The closest fighters would be in range in eight minutes.

I think you'd be best off taking the Vatican and bringing a peaceful end to this, but that may be biased because I want all/part of Israel. If war comes, I wont keep Armenia and Georgia, but I would put a few craters in them.

Unless Huahin ends up taking control, Israel will end up split. If that happens, I would at least like the West Bank, but we should determine the division after there is a solution.

IC: The Norwegian forces had consolidated their positions in Negev, and large bases had been established in Beersheba, Dimona, Mizpe Ramon and Elat, each housing a Infantry Brigade, a tank regiment and a artillery battalion each. Additionally, smaller bases had been estalished in Zefa', Zin, Yotvata and other small areas, each with a Infantry Battalion and attached tank and artillery units. Huahinian forces had been pushed back out of the Negev, and were now at the Gaza Strip with their backs to the sea. The Norwegian forces stood ready, defending their territory against the Huahinian agressors. They were now on Elephanti land, as per the new treaty which had been worked out. The Huahinian claim was, quite simply, a laughing matter. The Royal Norwegian Navy had taken up positions off the coast, and now they were prepared to send in RGM-203A Imsdal SCRAMJET-powered cruise missiles at the positions, followed by a huge counterattack from the Norwegians and quite possibly the Elephantis and possibly the Carthaginians. The Huahinians were surrounded on all edges. The Elephanti sultanates surrounded the occupied areas on the northern and eastern fronts, the Norwegian army on the southern front, the Royal Norwegian Navy from the sea and the Royal Norwegian Air Force in the skies above.

So far, MIM-211 Salt surface to air missile sites were becoming operational, along with the old MIM-104 Patriot and MIM-120 SLAMRAAM sites already in operation. The Salt was a new missile, having just been accepted into the RNoAF. It would eventually replace the Patriot, due to its being better than the Patriot in almost all areas. That, coupled with the highly classified Anti-Stealth System would surely down any incoming Huahinian aircraft.

New F-37 Razor fighters were arriving in Negev too, their task being to complement the F-22B Raptors already in place and flying. E-5B Kami AWACS aircraft flew overhead, providing radar coverage of areas up to 500 kilometers away. 100 of those were covered by the Anti-Stealth System.

The armament on the Norwegian fighters for air to air combat were something special too. Apart from the ordinary AIM-9X Sidewinder (effective range: 6 nautical miles) and the AIM-120D AMRAAM (effective range: 60 nautical miles), the Norwegians used the AIM-204 Dødsengel, which had an effective range of up to 250 nautical miles and still so new that it was highly classified.

Right now, almost 120 F-22Bs and 40 F-37Cs were in the air, all equipped for air to air combat. The F-22Bs had two AIM-9Xs, six AIM-120Ds and two AIM-204Bs each in their internal bays, with nothing on the wings. That helped them maintain their stealth, making them less visible on radar. The F-37Cs on the other hand, they were equipped with a full load. They each carried four AIM-9X Sidewinders and 10 AIM-120D AMRAAMs under the wings, and six AIM-204B Dødsengels in the internal weapons bay.

For now, the Norwegian fighters remained over Norwegian territory. However, if the Huahinians didn't capitulate within 12 hours, the Norwegians would have to bomb and shell the Huahinian positions and move in.

No Huahinian response had been recieved, nor any intel which indicated a capitulation. Therefore, the attack plan was initiated. It called for large amounts of forces, the entirety of Korps 35, one of the two Corps-size formations in the Norwegian Armé 8. They were already on the border, and artillery, tanks and infantry was in position. All they needed was an order. It would come quickly, but first the Norwegians would bomb the bejesus out of the Huahinian positions.

The fighters in the air, mostly the F-37s, were ordered to take down the enemy fighters. A group of eight F-37Cs climbed to 42,000 feet and locked their AIM-204B Dødsengel extreme-range air to air missiles on a flight of F-16XLs, or F-3s as teh Huahinians liked to call them. The RCS of the F-16XLs were lower than the normal F-16, but still great enough for the radars of the F-37s to pick them up without needing to use the Anti-Stealth System. They locked on, and fired one Dødsengel each at the targets. The missiles, which had a maximum range of 250 nautical miles would climb rapidly to 115,000 feet while accelerating to Mach 4.8, then drop off the booster after 170 nautical miles and cruise in before entering the terminal phase, diving on the enemy planes. The INS/2-way datalink to the powerful radar on the E-5B Kami AWACS (OOC: Improved E-767) would guide the missiles in, allowing them to keep their active radars off untill the terminal dive when there would be very little chance of the enemy escaping. It didn't have a 98 % success-rate for nothing.

All across the border, Norwegian fighters moved into range for the kill while NPH-2A1 Targa self-propelled howitzers trained their 155mm/52 caliber barrels on the Huahinian positions which the RQ-15A Mack UAVs and satellites had pinpointed during the 12 hours wait, and fired the 155mm projetiles at the enemy positions. They would continue this barrage for another hour before the tanks and infantry moved in.

Off the coast, Norwegian naval vessels turned up to the wind and fired a total of 400 RGM-203A and 200 RGM-203B Imsdal cruise missiles. These missiles, which flew at a speed of Mach 7 thanks to the brand-new SCRAMJET engine, were armed with either a 544 kilogram warhead containing high-explosives [A] or 544 kilograms of Thermite incindenary gel, the venerable napalm's successor [B]. In between the 200 missiles of the B configuration, a total of 108,800 kilograms of Thermite would be unleashed on various defensive positions that the Huahinians had established, along with 217,600 kilograms of high-explosive. If anything survived where the missiles would hit, it would be a miracle!
