The sun began to rise over the horizon of the Western Wastelands. The place, located in the Corporate Dictatorship of Red Tide, was known as that because nobody lived there... well not inside it, there were nomads who wondered around the edges of it, but never went in. The Western Wastelands was HIGHLY toxic, partly becuase the Automated Nuclear Power Plants that fed the countries power were there, these were completely automated because their safety standards were so low that an Atomic Energy Commission Safety Inspection Team Member would have a seizure if he heard about them. The other half was due to the fact that so many weapons of mass destruction, Chemical, Biological, and Nuclear, had been tested there. But the testing sights(located in the least radioactive part) were long abandoned, thank you very much...
But today, something was happening. Several moments ago a 18 wheeler rolled to the center of one of the ex-test sites. It was parked and left there. 7 miles away, in one of the old bunkers, dating back to the 60s, a one Filitov Nerovich, overseer of all weapons research, production, and selling for the Red Tide Mafia, looked through his binocolars(SP?) at the truck. With him were several high ranking Mafia Of-Capos. A loud speaker crackled.
"Attention," A young Mafia Thug said into his microphone, "t-minus one minute until detonation, please put on your goggles."
The flash proof goggles were put on, Filitov smiled, 4 units of research and production aswell as 7 years of research was accumulating to THIS moment. He called to the back of the bunker behind him, "Get some Vodka ready!"
"T-Minus, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6..."
As usual, Filitov got nervous, what if it failed to work? His wife would have to pay the price for the bullet.
"3, 2, ONE!"
Filitov frowned, there was a tiny bit of light on the horizon. Very insignifacant, so he removed the goggles... and then a tremendously bright light filled his view. THEN he was impressed. 30 seconds later, the shockwave reached the bunker, as the nuclear fireball rose in the air. The 12.5 kiliton uranium bomb had detonated successfully
"Soon we will have a small stockpile of those!" He exclaimed, "I cant WAIT to start selling them!"
OOC:Further posting to come, you guys will probably detect the explosion and deduct what just happened. Please remember, this is the Red Tide MAFIA detonating a nuke, not the Goverment, which has long had them.
