Yup, I'm still not helping you, but I'm helping Kazec. The balance of powers, you see. The League could be threatened by the Triumverate, as well as the Republic, and we don't really want either one to win. The Republic, shattered, provides no bulwark of forces our enemies could draw upon, nor can it take advantage of any currently damaged situation, but if it is utterly destroyed, and the Triumverate takes it place, we're back to square 1. Helping you both keeps you against each other, and never a ship to commit against the League.

Precisely. I'm proactively not aiding the Republic, but helping Kazec, mainly because my two main enemies, Abh and TFU are there, and I can't really help Tal, considering Chronosia is my ally.

I would like to say i am sorry to HT for my childish asshole like post. He was pointing out valid points that my Rping was less then good. I accept that now and unignore him and offer a full appollgy to him and everyone on NS for that childish post. Tho to make sure tempers are not flared and a flame fest dose not start i will give controle of my forces to the abh in this thread for now atleast untell i feel i can hold my temper.

Accepted! Losing control is hard, and I have done it often (the main reason why my characters do). I understand and forgive.

Okay, warping one fleet out and zipping in a fresh one that had ostensibly been 'waiting on the wings' is just plain gimpy. What do you think you are? A pokemon fleet commander? (thanks CW for that particular jab)

You come in with a fleet, you should durn well stick with it until its dead. You honestly think the Godulans wouldn't see your other fleet incoming? If you really think you can pull that crap, pretty soon everybody's gonna have a reason to do so. And then it'll all just go down hill as whenever anybody's fleet looks like its caught in a bind they just zap it out and replace it with something else.

Hey, it's cool. Everyone gets annoyed at times, and, it was just at that particular time I'd had a lot of crap happen to me, too, and I partially lost mine. I'm sorry too, man, I shouldn't have said most of that stuff I said.

I'm going to hold off on Ic posting till G's point has been disgussed and settled. (that and the fact that I have little RPing time yesterday and today).

TFU. Godular got one fleet, which he stated several times was coming, and then used the AoN fleet as a counter to the "Pikachu" fleet of TFU. I can hardly blame someone for reacting, can I?

I would have put that big post here, but I have the sneaking suspicion that the only time TFU has looked at this page was when the forum automatically directed him to this thread after he started it.

My personal opinion? Both G and TFU have gone a little over the top with their fleet and tech claims. But then again, I'm not very abstract in my FT notions, thinking with solid reason (not hard sifi, but reasonable sifi). I rate things on a basic scale. I think that we can all have uber in a few areas, but not everywhere. Pick your strong point and your weak point, with everything else somewhere in between. If you're going to warp in new fleets all the time, then they can't be super fleets. If you are going to have super weapons, then your defenses will suffer. Find a balance of pros and cons to your tech and strategy.

I can't say how many times I have read threads by large, respected nations that tell us that loosing is okay. You needn't be perfect and it's a lot more fun to RP with weaknesses. How much fun is "my ship has the best everything in the galaxy and when it does get damaged, which it can't, I have more ready to take it's place."

That said, I would like the next battles to be invite only. I would like to invite G, as well as others on both sides (not too many though) provided that the above ran needn't be posted again.

Did I say yours was weaker? No. Did I say you should lay down and die? No. Did I say you made a stupid stupid stupid move in attempting to attack a fleet ten times your size I had sent in to enforce a cease fire? HELL YES, HOMEBOY.

Your main problem, skippy, is that you automatically assume that your tech is inherently superior to all who oppose you. Did you hear me once say that my technology is superior to yours? No. I told you exactly what my weapons do, how they work, and what kind of damage you can expect to take.

Addressing Kazec, yes, some of my tech is kind of over the top. I guess you could say it comes with the territory of custom making a tech tree. After all, you have merely to look at my research threads and see what I've come up with over the RL year Godular has existed.

But ya notice one thing? When I'm in a fight? I take my lumps. I know when I'm beat. I work very hard to not get beat, as we all do. But my weapons tread a different path.

Trick, after trick, after trick, after trick, after trick, after trick, after trick, ad infinitum. Space combat is as much a tactical issue as it is an "I sh00t at u!" issue, more so, in fact. After all, space is big... really big... really really big, lots more room to muck about with than on those puny little planetary surfaces.

And nothing gigs me more than a guy who can't do anything more than mimic a bullet bouncing off his chest and say 'Tink!'

Christopher Thompson were you meaning that for The Jurai Thread??? And a Highlander?? lol so the scotts will be fighting a guess. The quickening isnt really a uber virus tho its very deadly takes weeks,months even years to kill the victums off tho they weaken very fast. I havnt even luanched them yet XD.

I accept both of your claims, so long as all party’s tech is respected for it’s power (respect my weapons and I'll respect yours kind of a deal) If we can all agree to accept what has been said (G's got a lot of 'equal' ships and TFU's got a few 'equal' ships) then we can resume the RP? Oh, yes, I almost forgot, mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm strategy!

Of course, it would also mean that TFU needs to take significantly higher losses in that combined strike. How many fleets would you be able to name that could take a coordinated strike from another fleet ten times yer size?

Not even I would be able to take that kind of hit with a grin.

I think Godular has the right of it here, TFU. You don't seem to understand that we don't all want to acknowledge your so-called inherent superiority, and then you flame us, call us n00bs, and start crying as soon as things aren't going entirely your way. I know another person who does stuff like that; however, he's my three year-old brother.

Guess what? The reason you've been blanket-ignored in all war RPs by the ESUS is the fact that, no, not that you like to win, but that you don't make the effort to lose. Firstly, go read the Battle of Thorn. Godular won mainly through superior position (It was his home planet, after all), and through some damned outlandish tactics. You can't honestly expect us to lose half our fleets when you say "Me fire on j00! BLOW UP OMG!". We respect strategy, and, every time a new, inventive, or just plain excellent strategy is used, we'll lose ships to it.

You may say "OMG DSLEXIA DUN FLAME ME IM DISABLED OMFG", but that's just not true. We make extra effort to read your RPs, but when you refuse to realise the fact that other people may have equal, or gasp, BETTER technology that you, it does make you look like an arrogant jerk. And then, whenever things start not going your way, yet another fleet comes out, then another, then some battleships. Your nation is unrealistic, and you seem to have only the most basic handle on reality. We're not making 'n00bish' arguments, and we're not disagreeing with you because you're a 'n00b'. We're only disagreeing with you due to your actions in the IC thread.

Oh, and the reason I 'always agree with Godular', is because he's right! If he starts making stupid statements, and using "Gotta Catch 'em all" fleets, I'll come down like a sock with a brick in it on his ass, as well. Look, TFU. As amazing as it may sound, we're not biased towards you. However, if you do stupid stuff, we're not going to be all loving and forgiving towards you, especially if you sound like you have your head up your ass. We are not the problem here. Remember that.
