Despotism and Oppression Going Nuclear[Introduction]

The administration has today declared that it has begun the planning for the construction of a nuclear reactor at Kadesh, which will the first step in the methodical advance towards being a nuclear power. According to the official press release the Kadesh reactor will be beginning the construction process within four weeks, and it's scheduled to end within eight months, providing the first nuclear reactor for the nation of little more than thirty million people.

However, the administration reminds the international world that the reactor is for purely civilian services for the time being. Nonetheless, the administration also has claimed that it will not hide the fact that it is planning to construct its first short range nuclear tipped weapons within forty-eight months, or four years, providing them with the first of the projected many nuclear warheads.

Due to the knowledge of the world's recent history, and the fact that most nations are not willing to accept such a small nuclear power, the administration has placed the military on alert, immediately passing orders to mobilize a full six armored brigades and two infantry divisions, designed as a rapid reaction unit to be able to slow down, or even stop, an invasion if such a thing happens. Nonetheless, Gerfaanlich remains pragmatic and optimistic for the beginning of a relatively peaceful escalation of its nuclear possibilities.

The confederacy is outraged and is deployign a force of 6 armoured divisions, 2 Mechanised Infantry Divisions and one airborne division, along with 115 warships and over 2000 carrier borne fighters and bombers to the region to moniter the events going on there and if neccesary intervene.

(It been a while since ive gotten into a ground war, and yes i am a full lfedged nuclear power but have never actaully used them.)

Belicose Response

We find the deployments of Spizania extremely alarming and implore Spizania to reconsider its largely irresponsible decisions. Spizania has really no interests in the region, and neither does the nuclear technology affect it, unless it antogonizes Gerfaanlich. We must also make clear that we will put the utmost in defense of our nation, and Spizania will not succeed in undertaking any operations.

We suggest that Spizania save themselves before they are embarrassed by a smaller nation, in front of the world's eyes. We may be small, but we are in no way pushovers.

The Incorporated States of SkyCapt applaud Gerfaanlich on their announcement for a new source of energy, and wish them luck. As for Spizania... They are going overboard.

Official Response of the Grand Maester of Unified Zanziik

First off, I would like to congratulate and warn the people of Gerfaanlich. Although the temptation that is nuclear power is persuasive, the destruction that is it's brother ever lingers. The persuit of energy for your people is a noble cost, but the defense of your people is the only reason to possess weapons of such large potency. And secondly, to the nation of Spizania, I would issue a warning. The intimidation of a smaller nation is not kindly looked upon by most, and the once "harmless" dispatch of your military could result in the destruction of your people. All actions, no matter how small, or insignificant they may seem, may be the single grain of rice that tips the scale.

OOC: Ok, that's fine. In the future, to keep yourself out of trouble, you may wish to hold back on the reins a bit, and also mark your posts as OOC: when they are such. It helps to prevent misunderstandings.

I could go into a long lecture about how we believe people should destroy nuclear weaponry, how it is evil, and such... Yet, I won't. The CCCP is a nuclear world power housing a rather abundant nuclear arsenal; thus, I'm not that hypocritical, I simply don't like you [Gerfaanlich] having nuclear weapons.

Personally, I utterly despise the Gerfaanlich form of despotism and its nonchalant manner in which its administration notified the world of their intentions. However immoral this may sound: I don't like you [Gerfaanlich]. Thus, I plan on urging the Political Bureau into creating a committee for discussions and plans on what to do in this situation. Expect a reply within the following days on our intentions.

Committee For Gerfaanlich Nuclear Proliferation And Restriction

The CGNPR has decided to go to the Political Bureau with reports about your administration and their oppressive ways. However, we do not intend on inciting a conflict. Instead, we will propose an idea to the Politburo of an investigatory party visting Gerfaanlich to determine whether they are responsible and capable of handling nuclear weaponry. We do hope the Gerfaanlich administration comply.
