Rona III

Like a hive of killer bees, innumerable dropships blocked out the sun as they floated down from their respective Warships. Tens of them, hundreds of them, all gently floating down like a leaf. But a leaf wasn't a vicious, bloodthirsty Chaos being.
When they were 20 feet above the ground, the airlocks of the Dropships hissed open and down rappelled the fearsome Chaos Marines, accompanied by the Imperial Forces. Tanks were parachuted down, cages full of Chaos Warhounds were dropped mercilessly to the ground. Barely minutes after their landing, the army was already organizing itself, molding itself into an elite mass. Squads formed, groups formed, Chaos Champions riding on the backs of the Chaos Warhounds. And then they set off to conquer Rona III for Khorne, the War God...

The company of Bloodletters stalked through the woods loudly and obnoxiously, singing the names of brethren fallen in battle. Axes held high, blasters at their hip, the Bloodletters marched on and on.

In the town of Ronor, a place with a population of only 2 thousand, several townspeople and militiamen began to hear strange noises. It seemed like chanting, but out of rythm, more like uncoherent yelling. And then the farthest out farmers screamed and started running as fast as their feet would take them back to the settlement. The official watchman, Morty, staggered back in horror as his binoculars dropped to the floor, not comprehending what he had just seen.
Flowing red robes, skin dyed red and dripping with neverending blood, gaping maw, long, spindly claws. Bloodletters.
Morty raised the alarm and the panic started.

Tor'ankh smiled maniaclly as he felt the rage and excitement build up inside of him. For so long they had lied dormant. For so long, the had had to endure the annoying patter of diplomacy.Well, NO MORE! War had finally come, and Tor'ankh would do his best to please Khorne.
As they reached the town, Tor'ankh and his brethren gave a battle cry and rushed to the slaughter. Dozens were cut down, more dozens hit by blasters. As Tor'ankh ran, his sensitive nose picked up the scent of life.
The west...to the west...
Tor'ankh broke off from the rest of his company and rushed over to a large house, mouth dribbling bloody spittle. He kicked down the puny door and started searching the house. On the top floor, in a small closet, he found a woman and child cowering, fear pouring forth from every pore. The woman's shriek and the child's wail did not stop him as he raised his axe, indeed, it only served to increase his lust for death. With a downward sweeping motion, he sliced off the woman's shoulder and head, and his other hand raised his blaster, which barked once, making a giant hole in the child's head.
Satisfied, Tor'ankh left the house, leaving a trail of death behind him...

Meanwhile, Morty is trying to get help...

Morty was fumbling with the radio, frantically searching for the Universal Frequency anyone could hear. Finally, he got it.
"Help! Anyone!" he croaked.
"Red soldiers...slaughtering everyone and everything! Oh, no!" Morty's face wrenched into a look of sheer terror just as a Warhound leapt onto him, tearing of his face with it's razor sharp claws and long tusks.

But the damage had been done. The message was flying silently through space.

Back on Rona III...
The 2nd Elite Bikers roared through the plains, leaving brimstone and fire in their wake. They were headed for the largest city on Rona III, Ro City, home to 4 million inhabitants. There were only 20 of them, but they didn't care. Rage was flowing through them, their hearts were beating twice as fast as normal, and behind their demonic helmets, their disfigured faces were grinning broadly, highly anticipating the upcoming slaughter. For almost half an hour the rode, the roar of the motors like a beast from Hell, their woops and cheers in the name of Khorne. The they reached the outskirts of the city. These were the slums, where thousands of the poorest congregated.
And made them ripe for slaughter and death. Driving through a neighbourhood which seemed rife with beggar and drug-abuser scum, the Bikers jeered as they shot at people left and right. Their death screams and the sight of blood motivated them even more. Left and right, the bullets flew. Left and right, people dropped, giant bullets stuck in their bodies. The Bikers sprayed everyone alive with bullets and rode on, deeper into the city...

OOC: Thanks.
IC: Already a base camp had been formed, barely 4 hours after landing. The ground upon which the base camp was situated had been already warped by Chaos, had been turned black and cracked, the plants died or mutated. Inside the base camp, it was a swarm of activity. Chaos Marine Raptors jumped around using their jet packs, Imperial Guardsmen patrolled the perimiter, and inside a large blown-up tent-like construct the buzzes and whirs of tanks, bikes, and Chaos Dreadnoughts getting chained up were blending into one large chorus of mutant music.
In front of a large computer, the Chaos Champion named Tarak was busy fitting himself with a large assortment of weaponry. On his robotic arm, he attached a chainsaw, and chose a heavy blaster and light machine gun as his side weapons. His scarred face grinned. Now he was ready to kill.

Dear fellow leader,
I have found my country in a rut so far. We will need a strong ally to help us out through our next few growing stages. We would like you to be that ally. You look strong enough to be a good economic and militaristic help to us. If you agree send us a message.

Lieutenant General Tayflar lied comfortably in his bed in his quarters, it was dark around him, and he slept soundly, and normally (a rare time), as he did after watch. A sound came from somewhere, near him. Somewhere in front of him. A slight groan, his tail moving slowly on the surface of the bed, his arms and legs aching back to the waking life. He reached for his pad, on the small table to his front, and picked up his pad. The light of the screen reflecting off the surface of his reptilian face. His eye gazed at the time displayed.

"Oh....," he sighed, "0400..."

He pressed his thumb on it, he sitting up.

"What is it," he asked in a groggy tone.

"Morning sir," came the voice from the pad as a display came on. It was his Second-in-Command, Colonel John Mackedi. "Sorry to wake you two hours early."

Tayflar shook his head. "No problem, was just resting good for the first time in a while," he said in a sarcastic tone.

"I'm sure," a chuckle, "Well, we have some unusual contacts. Unidentified and not in our database."

"Alright, I'll be up there in a minute." A heavy sigh, then he began to get dressed in uniform.

----------------------------------------------------------

Five minutes later, Lt. General Tayflar stood on the bridge beside Colonel Mackedi. "So, whats the unidentified subject?"

"Well, it appeared on sensors not too long ago. We ran a scan for thirty minutes, High Pulsed Microwave emissions. Got sketchy details, which is unusual at this range-" the Mackedi pressed a button on a console beside him, the main screen on with the sensor read-outs and some descriptions "-and this is what we have."

The Lt. General looked over the information provided, and gazed at his Second-in-Command, arms going behind his back. "Well, it seems its a 'First Contact' scenario."

"Indeed," responded Colonel Mackedi.

---------------------------------------

Lt. General Tayfalr's ships was a Hailstorm-Class Battlecruiser, ready and loaded with with fighters and many other necessities for combat, survival, and space. Right now the ship was at its lowest alert level, but soon raised to its second-highest, a "Yellow" if you will. A message was sent, aftwards, a message of greetings. One that would hope end peacefully...

OOC: No problem.
IC: On one of the Heavy Destroyers overlooking the planet, a "klaxon" lit up and started spinning. But no noise. Everything was deathly quiet, just as a ship of Chaos should be during a Planet Turning. Aboard the CC Deathspiller, Ship Captain Alorag tramped over to the COM system, and read the mesage quietly. He motioned for a vide-link to be established, and several seconds later, on the Anagonian Ship a blown-up image of Alorag's head came onscreen. This was what he had to say:
TRANSMISSION

Anagonian vessel! This is the CC Deathspiller, and I am Captain Alorag, Commander of this Ship and Servant of Khorne. Meanwhile,on another system, another world, a contingent of Space Marines were ferociously battling an army thrice their size. The attacking Space Marines battered the weak defenders, who were falling in great numbers, but still trying to put in an effort.
Chaos Warrior Kolnag slashed left and right with his chainsaw, blood flying everywhere, bolter barking and slamming giant metal slugs into the defenders. They fought bravely but without ferocity; without this they had no chance of winning. Kolnag ducked as a shell fired from a tank landed nearby, sending jagged pieces of shrapnel flying everywhere, sticking into the enemies' body, stomach, legs, arms. He was about to cut down a man, but then he turned and fleed. As did all of the defenders.
Kolnag got up and jogged over to his Team Leader.
"Sir, shall we follow them?"
The hulking giant that was his leader shook his head.
"No," he boomed. "Soon we'll have orbital support take care of them. In a few minutes, as a matter of fact..." he trailed off, looking up at the night sky...

Lieutenant General Tayflar looked puzzeldly at his Second-in-Command, Colonel John Mackedi.

"Well, it seems that we seem to have a lunatic."

"Indeed," replied Colonel Mackedi.

A deep sigh came from Tayflar, his reptilian figure portraying his feelings. He regained his composure, slowly, and looked to the main screen. His eyes gazed over the message again. Then, he slowly decided what he wanted to do.

"Go to high alert, ready all Weapons and Ready all fighters." A short pause, then he continued, "Load all torpedo tubes with Nuclear-Grade, Tubes Six and Seven load with Hydrogen-Grade. And for Heaven's sake, tell them to get the hell out of here."

"Aye-Aye," came the response from his Second-in-command as he went about his orders.

Message from the Anagonian Battlecruiser Firestorm
In the name of the Galactic Republic, you will stand down and leave this area immedietly. If you fail to comply, you will be destroyed.
Message End

Everyone on the bridge seemed to work faster now, as the Turrets on the Battlecruiser swivelled to aim at the Deathspiller's position. The forward of the ship moving slightly as the Torpedo Tubes were loaded with Nuclear and Hydrogen-Grade warheads that would easily fly through space. Starfighters were launched in squadrons of five, each one finding positions around the Firestorm as she readied for combat. A blue, staticy field surrounded the Battlecruiser, signaling that the Electro-Magentic Shield Generator's had come on-line.

Inside the ship, battle-alarms sounded, and men hurried to their posts. There wasn't much to do but wait. The Sub-Space drive in the engine room was charging, and engineers there readied to make repairs as soon as any battle started. Marines hurried to placements around the ship, and crews hurried about preparing Starfighters that weren't ready for launch.

Above all, Lieutenant General Tayflar stood on the Bridge, and waited for the reply of this new contact.

The ornate bulk of a Cataclysm-class Battle Cruiser slid free from the Warp, its hull glistening with ghostly flames. Aboard, Tzaanlord Arcturus played out the threads of fate that intertwined here, ascertaining the situation in system.

The War God...

Smiling, Arcturus sat back in his throne, watching the developing situation. Turning, he tapped a subordinate on the shoulder.

"Princeps, activate the teleporter arrays. Send our Tzaangard detachment to the surface, and have them capture on of the Marines there. Preferably alive, but Tzaanlord Helion is forgiving in this matter."

Nodding, the Princeps relayed the orders to the arrays.

On the surface, near teh Khornate marines, a blast of Warpfire scoured the surface. Stepping forth from the smoking ruins, a full Century of Tzaangard, with bolters at the ready, marched towards the fallen Astartes.

Shaking one massive mechanical finger, Alorag sighed and said slowly, "You should not have done that. Why do you assume that you must be our enemies? Why engage us just because we have different ideals? Now we will be forced to destroy you. Khorne demands it."
And with that, the hundreds of guns on the Deathspiller powered up, Chao coursing through their circuitry, adding extra power, and they slowly homed in on the single ship. Crews rushed to warped fighters and bombers, with grisly daemonic runes carved into their prows. A call was sent out to the 2 other Destroyers on the other side of the planet, and Alorag chuckled maniaclly as he worked himself into a frenzy.
A message was dispatched to the detected vessel that had just dropped out of Warp. Alorag, crazy with rage, spoke.
"Hail, brethren! We sense you are also Chaos, like us! What God do you worship?
Glory to the Dark Lords!" and with that Alorag turned back to the inevitable battle...

Lt. General Tayflar tilted his head at the message.

"What? Their not maniacs?"

"It appeares we might be able to settle this," started Colonel Mackedi, "if they suggest that we could have."

Tayflar nodded, they only went to high alert for fear that they were some kind of horde that wanted to press their ideals on others. Perhaps they were just defending themselves. Perhaps not. But, as a Commanding Officer of the Galactic Republic, he had a duty to seek all possibilities. Hopfully, he didn't jump too far into a hole here.

"They do have a well-built ship, let's see if we can't settle this with words."

Message from the Anagonian Battlecruiser Firestorm
If our understanding is correct, we could pursure an alternate course. We apologize for our....misunderstanding. We supposed you were a Tyranical race bent on nothing more than Domination.

Perhaps, we could speak with words and not with swords?

The battle had begun. The guns, which were warmed up, startded pumping bullets and lasers at the Anagonian vessel. Fighters were launched, boarding pods, laden with the fearsome Space marines, sped towards the ship...

The Remains of the Dalahk Academy, The Planet Codenamed Catastrophe

It was from this that came the news, the new s of another threat that seek to raise it’s strength through their beliefs, to challenge another belief, to fight and impose their will or to crush their foe upon their stones. Totalius stood in his tower, atop his great fortress-like academy, as he watched his promising young disciples spar again each other, blade upon blade and fire fighting fire. He had a belief of his own, an ancient belief long gone and wasted that had no longer become the grappling fist. He only belief in his own will, and his own power, and the slaving powers he took himself upon. Rasping behind his mask, steel gauntlets held up only by ghostly hands and his cape only floating around as it did not reveal the ravelling cape that stood upon his shoulders.

“Another foe…” He thought, “Or ally? Times are too dangerous in these times, and we can use all that we have to gain strength and power. Or perhaps things might seem more than it would be? They have much that we want, and we might have something they want.” He boded, thinking carefully…

Religious Imperialists, I have come from the deep voids of space, and I have been informed of your need to convert others to your vaunted beliefs. As non-believers ourselves we are always open to thoughts, and we would join your ideals, if only a resource alliance is possible. We cruise along the stars, our entire fleet and people, an empire of mobility, an army of nomads who raid and enslave worlds to make a profit. If you sell us some fuel at a cheaper rate, then we will join your ideals.
Jaratia
26-09-2005, 21:06
Reading the new message, Alorag scoffed and opened a vidlink to the ship which had sent the message.
"Fools! You would sell your religious ideals for a few barrels of fuel? What pitiful fools! Fools, fools,FOOLS! We shall have none of your idioticism with us! We will not buy religious alliance form you!"
Jenrak
26-09-2005, 21:10
You fail to understand our message, and for that you are truly fools. We do not have any religious ideals, and would like to note that a few barrels of fuel would not even last us even a single day. I am talking a much more grand scale of alliance here, otherwise I will take that cetain remark of my extended hand of friendship and conversion as a standpoint for attack.

26-09-2005, 21:15
"Very well," a stern look came on Tayflar's face, "Fire at WILL!"

As soon as the deep-toned command came from Tayflar's reptilian throat, everyone on the bridge worked harder, and faster. The Battlecruiser's turrets aimed properly, all four of them. Dark blue glows came from within their barrels, soon after an eruption of fusion burst from their bowls towards the Deathspiller. The EM Microwave Projection Cannons aimed properly towards the incoming horde of smaller ships, they were the point-defenses, a proper place for an intense beam of microwaves.

The front of the Firestorm seemed to open in sections as tubes revelaed themselves, six to be exact. Two hidden ones opened to the sides of the ship. All tubes launched what looked like rocket-propelled Torpedoes, all turning with guidence towards the massive ship in the distance, a few even targeting some smaller vessels.

The Starfighters began to spread from the Battlecruiser as rounds from the Deathspiller came and slammed into the EM Shield, a few intense rounds making it through to graze the surface of the hull. But, surely, more deadly rounds were to come.

The Massive turrets re-charged themselves over a period, and their massive barrels began to glow again, hinting their intentions.
Jenrak
26-09-2005, 21:25
"All right. We will hear out your...proposal. Speak."

It is simple; we will supply our vast military and our forces to your aid whenever you need them and we will adhere to your beliefs, and in return, you supply fuel at a cheaper rate. There are very few places in the universe with such a price of fuel to keep us at our wealth.
Jaratia

The shield was up, the point-defense system too. Light auto-cannons, they fired at the incoming missiles, incessantly, neverendingly. A few shots hit a missile, and it blew up in a flash of light.
Alorag sneered.
"Nuclear missiles?Cowards.." at that moment, everyone was thrown off their feet as the torpedoes struck, 3 less powerful ones, 1 hydrogen one. The shield faltered and blinked out, and the explosion that resulted from the nuclear warheads striking the shield scorched, burnt, and melted away some of the hardy ship's armor plating, even tearing a hole in a smaller hangar before the blastdoors to it slammed shut. But almost 100 Imperial Guardsmen were sucked out into the Void, and hundreds more burned by the explosive fireball...
Back on the bridge...
"How fast can we have the shields back up?" Alorag calmly asked the defense technician.
"No faster than 5 minutes, maybe four."
"Fine. Concentrate all fire on the ship, open up the chin turret. If worse comes to worst, activate the anti-matter nuke."
"Sir?" The technician was afraid.
"Oh, shut your whining and concentrate on the shields!" Alorag spat. The technician scurried away.

On the prow of the Deathspiller...
A large door slid aside to reveal a large barrel.
Of a what? A rail-gun? Some sort of cannon?
No, it was a chin turret, one of the few in the Jaratian fleet. It emitted a 4x3 foot wide laser-beam that would probably decimate anything weaker than a destroyer that was in it's path. And it was aiming straight for the Firestorm. It powered up...a beam of purple light appeared, and it fired.
Zeeeeeeew!

Meanwhile, on boaridng pod 20AA57...
"Lock and load, men. We're only a few hundred meters from the enemy ship. If we don't get shot down, we'll board that ship and will have to kill all living entities on it. Understood?"
"Sir yes sir!"
The craft, one of the one that were left(Which was still quite a few), held 20 men. Twenty vicious, bloodthirsty, crazy Space Marines...

OOC: My nation lacks the capacity at the moment to create its own gene-seed, so its stuck harvesting, cloning, and modifying Promethian organs to make our own space marines. "Initiate tactic SS-Alpha"

"Aye-Aye," came a response from the bridge.

"Torpedo tubes loaded, and ready," came an announcement from a speaker.

The Battlecruiser rocked violently for a moment as many volleys from the Deathspiller made it through the EM Shields.

"Report," barked Tayflar

"Minor damage to the hull, right hanger bay damaged," came the response.

Lt. General Tayflar snarled as he gazed at the Viewscreen. Hopfully this would work, and the ship would be obliterated easily. However, nothing was guaranteed. He looked to his second in command quickly.

"Mackedi, cannons charged?"

"Main Fusion Cannons charged and ready," reported Colonel Mackedi, "Ready for one-two shot per SS-Alpha."

"Good," he looked back to the View-screen, "Inform all fighters to follow SS-Alpha and charge from this side. Have them attack the enemy fighters and small craft."

"Aye-aye," Mackedi said.

"Alright, Sub-Space now."

"Yes sir," came someone from on the bridge.

--------------------------------------------------

The ABC Firestorm suddenly started to glow, its EM shield exposing a bright rift overtaking the Battlecruiser. Bolts of lightning-like particles shot violently from the ship, the brightness consuming the Firestorm in mere seconds. Moments later, all that were left were fighters, flying towards the incoming craft as a blank spot in space revealed the dissappearence of the Battlecruiser.

"Do not think that I will come peacefully, Tzaangard. What are your intentions? Remember, I have a whole army at my back. Even you cannot compete with that. What do you wish of me? Speak!" He raised his bolter and the men behind him did the same...

On the Deathspiller...
Alorag, for a moment, was at loss what happened.
Then: "The cowards have disappeared!Probably run somewhere to lick their wounds. Well, nothing is stopping us from engaging the smaller craft! Open fire!"
And the turrets swiveled around to fire at the remaining fighter craft...

OOC: I assumed you landed near my base, as you were a little unclear where your men came out from the Warp.

It took a minute for the transistion to complete, but that was on purpose. As soon as the Deathspiller started to engage the fighter craft, space itself beside the ship started to warp as bolts of particles shot out. A second later the form of the Battlecruiser appeared, its turrets already finishing swiveling to meet the mass of the enemy ship.

The light surrounding the Firestorm dissipated quickly, and the EM Shield glew brightly around the Battlecruiser as it came back to full strength. The Battlecruiser had reappeared on the other, less vulnerable, side of the Deathspiller.

"Report," barked once more Tayflar.

"Sub-Space successful, ready to begin firing."

"Fire at will," came the low-toned response.

It would only take a few more seconds before the Main Turrets glowed their brightest. One by one, they fired their volly of deadly fusion beams, each turret firing one barrel, then seconds later the next. The two-barreled main turrets maintained this constant volley for as long as they needed to, even the Point-Defense Microwave Cannons got into the actions, targeting the lesser turrets of the enemy ship.

It would be apparent by now that the Fighters were a diverson, and that the main threat was the Battlecruiser itself, and its Torpedoes....

"I cannot shirk my duties! Honor demands that I fulfill this mission that I have been sent on, and if I must kill you to complete it, so be it!" The whole Group of Bikers raised their bolters threateningly.
"What shall it be? If you wish for some of our men to come with you, then there is a base camp not far from here to the north that has Bikers, Champions, Bloodspillers and Khorne knows what else. There you may find support. But not from me. My duty is here." The Team Leader gritted his teeth.

OOC: Hehe. Sorry, Anagonia.

IC:The effect of the Fusion Cannons on the Deathspiller was disastrous. The shields broke under the first shot and the craft was mercilessly ripped apart. Thousands of good men were sucked into the void, and almost half of the ship was missing after the flash from the Fusion Cannons died down. The craft was spun 90 degrees, facing right at the Anagonian ship. Unforutunately, all power was down, with only 5 out of the original 9 thrusters operating on emergency power, which would soon be totally drained.
On the bridge, Alorag knew what he had to do. Knocking out a techie from his seat(And breaking the man's arm), Alorag pushed up the thrusters to 100%.
"Arm the anti-matter warhead!AS SOON AS WE RAM THAT SHIP, DETONATE IT! FOR KHORNE! FOR CHAOS!" and the Deathspiller sped towards the Firestorm at max speed, overheating, the remaining circuitry fizzing and short-circuiting. But onward it sped, 5 grams of anti-matter on it, and a suicide ram on it's mind.
The Firestorm was getting closer and closer, then:

KRUNCH!

The terrible sound of several thousand tons of steel crashing and ripping the smaller vessel. But the Firestorm was not dead. In fact, it was only damaged moderatley by the ram.
But the worst was yet to come.

The anti-matter warhead detonated.

Lieutenant General Tayflar almost fell to the floor blind as the massive ship rammed the Firestorm. However, it wasn't as bad as it seemed. Everyone on the bridge gave a thumbs-up, a signal in the time of hurried business that all systems were checked green. Only one person did the thumbs-down, and Tayflar snarled for the few moments of peace.

"What's the problem?"

"Moderate damage to the mid-section with breach, right hanger minor damaged by the impact. Fourty-five souls lost, many more injured. Repiar teams on their way, sir."

Tayflar sighed, fourty-five souls? He more than likely knew every one of them, but he would have to look over the casulty reports later. Now, however, there was a more worrying problem on his hands, Colonel Mackedi gazed at him with an uncertian face.

"It seems something is charging within their ship. Its massive, sir, it seem's to be an explos-"

Before Mackedi could finish, the entire Battlecruiser was shaken with the explosion. It took only seconds, but even the crew on the bridge heard failure of the EM Shield, the melting and desintigeration of the metal that held the ship together. The groaning and immediate breaking of supports afterward. The entire ship seemed to scream in pain.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

The aftermath of the anti-matter explosion left a scene of total devistation. There were two halfs of the Firestorm floating in space. The front, which was more or less obliterated, piece by piece seen teraing off, almost as if it were entering an atmosphere of a planet.

The second part, the aft, had a huge slice of its right side missing. In its wake a red glow of burning metal that truly looked like a firestorm, Its entire right hanger was gone, and the forward part looked like it was smoothed into the shape of a mere half of a blast bubble. The engines were badly damaged, and the left two were completely gone. Its bridge seemed to be intact, however, but fire consumed its left side. Revealing later that part of it seemed to be gone.

For a long, enduring, moment the entire hulk where the bridge was founded on seemed to be consumed by a constant fire of some sort. But it quickly dissappated into nonthingness. Afterwards, dark streaks came across its entire hull that remained. Somehow, the hulk kept itself intact, despite the constant danger of its Hydrogen and Fusion reactors going critical.

Slowly, two objects, scared and burned by the blast, seemed to slowly drift away from the hulk of brunt space-scrap.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

The bridge was dark, with only the glint of red from the outside. Somehow, even with the large gap on the side of the bridge, Macekdi survived. He moaned, trying to stand, but not before feeling the pain in his leg. Makedi let out a loud cry in pain, then shut himself quickly. Even through the pain, he grasp something....and brought himself to stand.

"Is everyone alright," he cried. It seemed to echo across the bridge.

A few groans came forth, then signs of life. Though some seemed to be sounds of dying men. Mackedi didn't know what just happened, but as soon as his eyes laid themselves upon the giant hole, he gasped, his eyes growing wide. What he saw was unbelievable. The Deathspiller was in pieces, expect for a few pieces that remained intact.

Backup generator must of kicked in, he though to himself.

But that didn't matter, Makedi was concerned for the Firestorm, which could easily be under his command now.

Command....

Mackedi looked around for Tayflar, and gazed to his side only to see the reptilian creature on his side, against the guard-rail that seperated the Command part of the bridge from the lower administrative part. Slowly, painfully, he walked over to the body, and fell because of an immense sting in his right leg.

"Commander," no response. He felt the Komodren's throat.

"Lt. General," no pulse...

"TAYFLAR!"

Suddenly the body came to life, shaking for a second, then coughing. He had been knocked hard against the rail, which really should be called a wall. Tayfalr opened one eye, taking in a slow, deep breath. The reptilian eye gazed at Makedi.

"Ship....," a silent, whispery voice came from the downed Lt. General.

"Damaged, severly."

Tayflar's head nodded, although hardly visible. A slight exhale, then another breath taken in. "Enemy....?"

"Gone, completely."

Another hardly visible nod, "help.....crew." An exhale once more, then another another breath take. "Take......command."

A slight nod, Mackedi seeing what seemed to be a smile come from the reptilian. He quickly grabbed the rail, and picked himself up. He didn't really know what to do, and as he looked down at Tayflar, his eye closed, but he seemed to still breeth.

My turn now, he looked up and around the darkened bridge.

"Alright, whoever is still capable, help your brethren!"

OOC: Well technically, there are still the fighter craft and the boarding craft that were going right at you when you dissapeared, so they're still there.
And of course, the three other Destroyers on the other side of the planet. After all, this is an invasion. I single Destroyer couldn't do anytihng against a planet. After all, it's capacity is only about 4000 soldiers...

OOC: I dunno, I guess I'll just RP my battle-crazed fighters and boarders going at your ship and ignoring everything else. :)

All fighters and boarding craft stopped dead as they saw the Deathspiller splinter apart and a blinding light burst through it, smashing into the Firestorm. They watched, every single one of them, even the Anagonian ships, as the Firestorm was consumed by the fireball and splintered in two. Then they got back to their original objective:
Kill all opposing forces.
Inside many of the Jaratian fighters, their pilots grinned maniacally and sped towards the hapless ship, Anagonian ships hot in pursuit. Soon, all remainging Jaratia ships were going for the kill, going to put the Firestorm into the history books. Soon, the first wave reached the disabled ship, strafing it with bullets. Then the bombers came, emptying what little bombs there were left onto the Firestorm. And so it went on...

OOC: Post. :)

Jason Fox, Squad Leader for Foxtrot, screamed through his com system commands to what remained of the fighters. He was in command now, the highest ranking officer left in this sector. He was a Flight Commander.

"Get those damn bombers," he yelled to Alpha squad, "I want those bombers taken out!"

"Beta, get the fighters! Delta, get anything I didn't say! Everyone else, follow me!"

Jason flew his ASF-01 Hammerhead Starfighter right through an exploding craft, then flew upwards, heading for the broken Firestorm. Encountering heavy resistance along the way.

In the corner of his eye, Pilot Halfat saw a squadron of Anagonian fighters destroy 2 bombers.
"NO! Halfat roared, spitting out his words. "The BOMBERS CANNOT BE HARMED!" He veered sharply to the right and sped after the fighters, lasers blasting away, autocannons going thumpthumpthump.
"All fighters, attack hostile fighters! Bombers, continue your runs! Gogogo!"
Halfat was not in command. In fact, he was a lowly lieutenant, but his teammates listened, and veered after the Anagonian fighters, with cries of,"Die!Die for Khorne!" and "Herewego, herewego!" echoing throughout the radiowaves.
Almost 100 fighters that were left after the battle turned on the Anagonians, and started chasing after them...

OOC:

Ok, here we go.

IC:

The Firestorm started to roll onto its side as some three different kinds of miniature craft fled the dead hulk. Apparently it was what was left of the crew. The pods turned slightly, then dissappeared into deep space, going someplace unknown.

The Anagonian fighters that were left, after a massive unsuccessful battle with the Jaratian Fighters and Bombers, suddenly veered off course, and put in full thrust as they tried to sped away.

Just as this happened, the broken remains of the Battlecruiser started to tear apart, a glow within it signaling an explosion. Suddenly, a bright light flashed, and seconds later two flaming objects merged as it grew smaller, and smaller. The shockwave expanding at an intense rate, and the apocalyptic ball of flame suddenly imploded. Another bright light, then a miniature black hole formed for a brief five second period, before collasping upon itself, with another huge explosion, followed by another shockwave.

Only three Anagonian fighters made it out, even their crafts damaged severly. They lumbered to what seemed like a point......to somewhere.....trying to find something.

In the Darkness of space, time seemed to warp itself in many spots around the area. Glowing swirls of light appeared, followed by instant flashes of intense rays. In its aftermath, Three-Hundred ships sat in space. Every single one of the, turrets and all, aimed their hulls towards the opposing fleet. Somehow, the Anagonians had mustered up an Armada.

Fleet Admiral Jackson was on-board the Anagonian Heavy Cruiser Freedom when he ordered every ship to ready arms. Nuclear Torpedoes were loaded, thousands of fighters and Heavy Fighters were launched. The Blazing Blue scouts ships that were present readied their Pusled Fusion Cannons. Everything seemed ripe for a confrontation of magnetic proportions.

This was it.The final confrontation. The decision of who would live, and who would die.
All the Jaratian ships who had FTLi, activated them. The help message had included THOSE tricks. Now it was merely a question of who was the better in warfare. If the Anagonians would be spineless heathens and use nuclear weapons, so be it. But Chaos had it's powerful weapons as well.
On board the leading Golden Lion, Cymek Lione worked out a strategy. Finally, he decided that it was best to battle it out, whittle down their forces, and then call for reinforcements, giving coordinates that would make the Jaratian ships appear behind the Anagonian fleet.
That would give them an advantage...
All this while, the weapons had been charging, even before they had exited Warp. And now they fired. Thousands upon thousands of autocannon rounds, laserbolts, warheads, and MicroInterceptors poured from the Jaratian armada.
"All boarding craft, ready your engines and wait for my command. Siege cannons, power up and fire on my command..."
From all of the 60 Frigates,a large panel on their chins slid open, revealing massive railguns. The secret weapon of the largely underrated ships.
The battle had begun.

Fleet Admiral Jackson had already ordered all ships to power their Sub-Space drives, but it would take time with this many ships. He gazed at the large screen before him, taking in all the information. All possible firing points, all possible targets, everything. He gazed at one screen in particular, some ship's opening their hull to reveal a large gun...

"All Heavy Cruisers, Fire Ion Cannons at the following targets.." He pressed a few buttons on a keyboard-like mechanism in front of him, a small screen verifying his orders before being sent. He made sure that one one Ion Cannon would fire per ship, for 150 Heavy Cruisers against 60 of those things could possibly be a waste of precious charge time.

"Fire on all targets."

He pressed the enter key, and he could feel his ship move.....then jolt, a loud yet constant hum as the Ion Beam fired.

Still, Jackson remained on duty, and as he gazed over the information, he observed the swarms of what seemed to be tiny fighters. Quickly, he reacted, and ordered his Fighters to engage, primarily the Heavy Fighters. They were manuravlble, and had an auto-turret that could easily keep track of anything that small.

In another decision, he observed the many ships, and ordered only three Torpedos per ship to fire towards the enemy armada. Mainly anything above 500 Giga-Tons.

Finally, he ordered all ships to open fire with main guns, and within a second, streams of Fusion and Microwaves streamed at any targetable ship. Fleet Admrl. Jackson felt his ship endure a hit, and brought up a screen. He observed the many projectiles coming towards the Anagonian Fleet.

Suddenly, he typed frantically on his keyboard, and ordered all Scout Ships to split into groups of two. They were to be a constant pain in the Enemy Armada's ass, and were intended to quickly take care of anything smaller than a Capital ship.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Before the flashes of Anagonian main turrets fired, there was another firing sequence. Seven-Hundred and fifty Nuclear and Hydrogen Torpedoes launched, all heading towards the enemy fleet, the ones having no targets were to acquire groups of smaller targets (fighters) or randomly selected enemy targets. There was definitly enough to go around.

The Scout ships took off after the torpedo volley had been fired, and some blazed their Fusion Pulse cannons towards the enemy ships and craft. However, this was hard to do, due in part to each one dodging enemy and friendly fire. But, they would succeed, the Blazing Blue Class scout ship was a highly admirable ship, due in part to its size, speed, and manuverability.

OOC: Ahem. Sorry 'bout that delay, but I have a shitty school whose teachers give out hard homework.

The fleet took the shots in stride. At this range, the Fusion cannons, which had effectively crippled the Deathspiller, got soaked up by the shields, which flashed for a moment of two and then settled back to their translucent form. A few of the stronger shots got through, but most of them were so weak by trying to get through the shields that they impacted the ships and barely burnt them.
The front-line frigates, however, were not faring so well. Many of them were damaged by the fusion cannons and were desperatley trying to hold the destroyers back. Although they were not much smaller than the destroyers and certainly with at least as much arnament, the destroyers were much less in number. One by one, they fell, either to the fusion cannons, fighters, or nukes that were being sent out by the masses towards the Jaratian fleet. Speaking of nukes, those weren't much of a problem. Either the point defense systems took them out or they were hit by a stray laser bolt and blew up harmlessly, Those that DID make it to the fleet brought the shields down for half a minute or seriously damaged them, and tore off a few layers of armor, but the Jaratian fleet knew about them beforehand, and so had prepared accordingly.
The MicroInterceptors were also doing alright. They attacked as one swarms, many of them being pickde off, but the bulk enveloping and destroying many of the enemy's fighters. The enemy bombers couldn't keep up with the lithe craft. Railguns battered the enemy ships. Laser bolts tore through fighters and bombers like they were sugar paper. Explosions from missiles blossomed like dangerous lilies against enemy shields.
But would the good fortune last? Who knew what the Anagonian lizards could pull out of their scaly asses?
