The GLM isn't to be Followed (Open Spy RP)

(OOC: Okay, I've introduced my plans for an open Spy RP long ago, but now I'm really staring it, because I saw a decrease in activity in several other RP's I RP in, and therefore, I was bored. everyone is welcome, but the ones that have had experiences with the Guyana Liberation Movement on the VLS "Koen" are more welcome than ever. feel free to ask me any quetions, by TG or here.)

A144, Barcelona-Perpignan
Jacques Legrand, leader of the GLM, travelled in his hired silver BMW 330d, of one model back. he was moving towards Kiev, where he was expected to meet the top of the Continental GLM, which had been almost cleared out by the Van Luxemburgian government since the Hijack of the Cruiseship VLS "Koen". He was the only survivor of that hijack, and was travelling from Gibraltar, where the "Koen" had been hijacked. after leaving his old Seat Toledo in Barcelona, he hired a BMW 330d at Barcelona Airport and phoned Dmitri Yakovla, head of the Continental GLM, to tell him of the escape and that he wished to have a meeting. after that, he stepped into the BMW and drove off towards Kiev. he now was on it's way for half an hour, and was closing in at Perpignan, distance: 10 km.

A few cars behind him, a brand new black Audi A6 drove at the same speed as Legrand. in the car were two Van Luxemburgian police officers, disguised as normal Tourists. what Legrand didn't knew was that they had been following him since he left Gibraltar, to know which people controlled the Continental GLM. They now were exchanging details about using the "Leapfrog technique", in which several cars followed the person in question, canging from place constantly, to not show one single car was following Legrand. The only problem was, that only several Audi's had been available, so that they now all drove the same marque, unfortunately.
"Would you care to turn the Climat Control up?" Gunther Wächter asked his collegue, seated next to him, at the Drivers seat.
"No problem, I don't want any Officer having a cold" Vin Mörgenholm, originally born in Denmark, answered while operating the buttons for Climate on the steer. While he did that, he made a stunning discovery.
Legrand has left the Motorway! it propelled through his mind.
"I think Legrand has left at this exit." Vin dared to say it to Gunther, while fixing his view at the number of the exit.
"you sure? I'll mention it." Gunther grabbed the mobile phone, mounted on a Nokia Carkit at the dashboard. while he operated the Nokia 9300, he shortly thought of his family, which would be in a truck right now, moving towards their new home at Kitzbühel. he waited a few seconds for the line to establish, and got contact with the Blue Audi RS4 driving 20 cars behind them.
"Tango Guyana left the Motorway at 50." the nicest thing about tis code was that you had to divide the number by two, to get the right exit.
"Roger, taking 50" the short beeping coming rom the Nokia announced the end of the line.

(OOC: Once again, everyone's welcome.)

The blue Audi RS4 stormed up towards the exit, and got off the motorway at high speed. it used it's brakes shortly afterwards, and ended up at the same speed as Legrand 3 cars in front of them. the Two officers, who were Telescope members, were checking the area around them, while thinking where Legrand should head. They were Harry Butler and Pete Nield, and were former MI6 members. the two were experts in Spy warfare, and had already checked their 9mm FN's twice. when Harry looked at Pete, he saw him smiling.
"What is it?"
"oh, just nothing, I'm thinking of in how long we will get a decent car"
"Decent car? Yeah, hehe, we're just short of good vehicles..."
"300 km/h, Ha! we should get faster cars!"
"C'mon, we should get serious."
with the last warning of Harry, Pete didn't say anything, while they again entered a Motorway, towards Zurich this time.

David Macker was walking down one of the corridors in the executive branch of the 2010 foot tall, Foxtecha Tower, in Golden Skies City. Accompanied by two of his five sons, and his only daughter. James, Michael, and Michelle.

"Dad, economic report from the Comona Island facilities, I think we'll have to send in a squad of engineers to guarentee continued oil flow for the second quarter"

"Okay Michael, James, do you have any news to report to us?"

"Yes sir dad, Squad 49 is pushing back the Kazach Order in the west, if we pull this off profits will be skyrocketing, on another note, the FEBGS (Foxtechan Elite Black Guard Ship) E'ire, our European Intelligence vessel, has notified us that Van Luxemburg authorities are beginning to track down some terrorists responsible for the hijacking of the VLS Koen"

"I see, and, what's your reccomendation?"

"Deploy a squad to Europe immediately, but not Squad 49, they have business in Greykan, right now, I suggest Squad 57, they're...second best...and the best part is, 330 is as cocky as 117, so I'm sure they'll make plenty of hell over there."

"Okay, well, I'll get right on that, Michelle, if you would be so kind as to call in an early session of the Board of Director's to handle all the economic stuff, that would be great!"

"Okay father!"

David walked back to his personal office on the top floor and picked up his phone. Dialed in "EBG 57" and waited for the phone to ring.

Squad 57 barracks, North Point, East Point

"Uh huh...sure....right.....Europe!? Oh, I love Europe, if only 179 were here and...oh...okay...yes sir, fight the enemy before you start flirting with EBG personell, I know...okay...good bye sir! [To squad 57] ALRIGHT BOYS, WE'RE HEADING TO EUROPE!" Said EBG 330, Colonel of Squad 57.

"YES SIR!"

There was a chorus of cocking guns and the putting on of equipment, once they had their MOLIGNAR Suits on and have all their weapons loaded and their ammo in their belts, they walked towards the dropships that were waiting outside, it would be a 12 hour journey to Van Luxemburg, but at the end, they would finally see the the greatest vacation spot on Earth, Europe.

"Zanzibar 1, you have clearance to land on Runway 45 Left of Montpellier AFB, please follow data uploaded to you in a minute. I suggest you're coming in for a chase?"

At Montpellier AFB, The two Mirage 2100 fighters that were actually inbound for take-off, were put aside to have the runway clear, and Barracks were readied to accomodate Squad 57.

Grand-Ducal Palace, Cassis, Cote d'Azur.

"Okay, what's the situation?" the Grand Duke looked at the Large screen, in front of him, which showed Gunther Wächter.
"At this moment, sir, we're following Legrand, and we're waiting for what he's heading. one thing is currently for sure: he's going east, at this moment to Zurich, and Legrand, together with us following him, will be passing Beziérs in a minute. then it's an hour or what at this speed to reach Montpellier."
"Okay, thank you." the Grand Duke saw the Screen crackle a bit and go over to Discovery Channel.

"Vuhifellian EBG? ah, great. I'll be your guide on this base." the pilot looked around Squad 57 before him, and sighed.
"okay, first, if you want to stealthily follow someone, you need to get covered in the crowds. if you use the barrack over there, there's a storage for clothing there. then, move towards the barrack next to it, where the weapons are stored. we arranged a Special Forces armoury, so choose anything you want. you could however also use your own weapons, no prob.
then, after that, get to the parking lot, where we've parked a few cars. just choose a few, and don't try to demolish them, we've got enough people doing that over here. there are BMW's, Mercedes-Benz's and Renault's, you'll have to do with it.

(OOC: just a request, and I don't want to be mean, but would you like to be detailed about the cars, in that way I can compare the cars to power of their engines and luxury, you understand?)

Meanwhile, 200 km away from Van Luxemburgian airspace...

"Van Luxemburg air traffic control, this is Tiger Flight from Wingarde. We are here under orders of the Federal Secret Service to assist you. Requesting permission to enter Van Luxemburgian airspace." The WT-19 Skymaster's pilot reported over the radio. The Wingardian government had arranged to dispatch two agents to aid in the pursuit and capture of the infamous terrorist, Jacques Legrand.

Meanwhile, in the cargo hold, agents Gerhard Brandt and Kiefer Scherer, strapped in passenger seats, were carrying out the last preparations of their equipment before landing. There were two large machines secured in the middle of the hold, covered with protective blankets.

"Will we get to try these? Kiefer asked, rather excited, thoroughly glancing at the shrouded machines, with the eyes of a little boy. "What do you think, G?"

"I hope so, Kiefer." Brandt replied, immersed in throughts and looking through the closest windows. Two WF-33 Avengers were escorting the transport aircraft, properly flying in delta formation.

The Wingardian WT-19 approached the runway, and did a perfect landing. Pilot Bruno Coerél watched, as the WT-19 and it's escort parked and the pilots and agents got out.
"welcome to Van Luxemburg, you're here for the chase, I suppose? well, it's quite simple, if you're ready to go, please take this Mobilophone and this paper with the appropriate bandwidths. you can check down there where you have to be to catch up with our agents, or you could just work on your own, that's an option too."

A144, Beziérs-Montpellier

The BMW 330d entered the motorway again, after having refueled and Legrand fullfilled it's hygienical needs. legrand shifted to the 5th gear and overtook a New Audi A6, coloured black.
strange, I believe I've seen that one earlier?
When he looked in his rearview mirror, he saw a blue Audi RS4 climbing up behind him, with two men in it, probably having fun with their fast car. the Audi flashed it's lights and engaged it's left indicator. the car wanted through.
when Legrand left the most-left lane, the Audi drove over it, with a roaring engine. no people following him? probably not, only a DAF CF truck behind him.

behind Legrand's car, a silver coloured DAF CF swiftly overtook a slower truck. the Driver shifted into 7th gear, and followed Legrand at about 100 metres distance. the Driver was coming from greece, and was part of a VLIA operation, to shadow Legrand. the greatest thing had yet to come, because all VLIA members had been disguised as normal labourers, such as the serviceman at the servicestation, the cleaner there, and other locations were Legrand was expected. The Driver shifted to his 8th gear, to keep up with legrand, who was driving at over 130 km/h. the driver was certainly lucky the truck was tricked-out, otherwise he couldn't follow Legrand.

EBG 330: Thermal and X-Ray sensors in our helmets, built in HUD, and our most favorite tool...climate control! Now, as for these cars.....luxuries, got any, sports cars, SUV's? Or is this all you got, we'll take em' either way, we would just expect a...larger selection from a place like this.

"That's right, we're here for the chase. Don't worry about our transportation, we've brought our own." Gerhard pointed out, took the equipment offered by Coerél and waved in the direction of the aircraft's cargo crew. The Skymaster's ramp slowly lowered until it touched the tarmac. Two Falken Mark VI sports cars, one blue and the other red, rolled down and onto the gray ground, turned towards the two agents and parked beside them.

The drivers hopped off them and chucked the keys to agents Brandt and Scherer. "They're all yours, gentlemen." One of the crewmen said before jogging back to the Skymaster with his partner for maintenance operations. Kiefer grinned as he could finally behold one of the best national cars of his country, sleek and fast. He glanced at Gerhard, who nodded back at him. "Thank you for your help. We'll get this man." Brandt stated confidently.

Both Wingardian FSS agents got to the wheels of their cars, waved at Bruno and stepped on the gas, speeding out of the airport and onto the streets. Once there, Brandt reached for the mobile phone given to him by Coerél and set the bandwidth and frequency.

"This is agent Brandt of the Federal Secret Service of Wingarde. We're already on the road. Requesting instructions and the last known coordinates of the target."

Agent Colberg removed the earpiece from the scanner, and looked quizzically at Warrant Officer Vickers.

"What the hell do you think that's all about? Some sort of sting op by the locals?"

Vickers rolled her eyes, removing her own earpiece and fiddling a bit with the Air Force device her service has decided to test in the field. "Yeah, a local sting. With Wingardian FSS agents assisting? Did the TIA get you from McDonalds, or what?"

"Hey, just because you have the fuckin' PhD doesn't mean everyone else is an idiot." With a bit of annoyance, he started 1993 Taurus up, pulling around and into traffic. "Why don't you use that big brain of yours, and dial up that number, would ya?"

As Colberg speeds up and moves toward the coordinates, Vickers dials up the number the scanner gives for the Wingardian phone, and waits patiently for someone to pick up.

Meanwhile, 6 km away from the intersection...

The Wingardian red and blue sportscars drove along the A144, a little faster than the rest of the civilian vehicles. The soft breeze was definitely pleasant for the agents, and sometimes the idea than they were on a mission just slipped away from their minds. Gerhard maneuvered his blue Mark VI, tailed by Kiefer's red one, dodging cars and approaching the target.

However, Brandt's daydreaming was suddenly interrupted by the mobile phone's sound. He snapped out of it, clumsily grabbed the device and answered the call. "Brandt here, who is it?"

The car swerved around a slow moving pickup, driving by a man who looked too amazed to flip Colberg the bird, before accelerating. Agent Colberg had been a tanker in the Army, and had been reprimanded serveral times for removing the govener on his M60A3. Needless to say, he was much happier in his current profession.

WO Vickers responded as soon as she got an answer, and got over the damn driving of that TIA bastard. "Yeah, hi! Listen, this is Warrant Officer Pat Vickers, Triancian Jay-MIC. I just got word-

"Damn it, Colberg, if you want to kill yourself, do it with your pistol and keep me out of!"

She continued. "I just got word from, ahh, my sources that you seem to be involved in a high speed chase with a suspect. You need any help with that?"

Colberg cut off a semi, the honking quickly reciding into the distance as he accelerated again. He scanned ahead, taking quick looks at the GPS mounted to the side. A turn was coming up.

Vickers braced herself.

Brandt and Scherer's blue and red Mark VIs positioned themselves at a safe distance from the car that matched the description of Legrand's at the intersection leading to Zurich, Lyon, Bern or Geneva. The two sportscars relatively stood out of the rest of the cars, but the Wingardian agents ensured they kept a reasonably low profile to avoid raising suspicions.

"I think we have identified Legrand's vehicle, several meters ahead of us, in the Lyon/Zurich/Bern/Geneva intersection." Gerhard commented over the radio to the Van Luxemburgian control center, and proceeded to describe the apparent target to confirm its identity.

Meanwhile, Kiefer seemed to be on vacation, since he had turned up the music in his red Mark VI almost to the maximum possible. A secret agent wouldn't do that, but that's precisely why he did it.

Legrand drove swiftly, but not too fast, he was aware of the problem that he could be followed. it was getting dark, and reports coming in on the radio said it could be snowing at enormous rates this night, so it wa time to shop for a hotel in the area. now, Legrand wasn't a type which chose the first highway motel in the area, and decided to take the five-star Baur Au Lac in Zürich. he checked in under the false name "Petrov Veriensk" and took one of his falsured ID's out of his pocket and showed it to the attendant.
"Okay, Mr. Veriensk, welcome to the Baur Au Lac!"
"Thanks, where's my room?"
"Third floor, number 348"
"Thanks."

when Legrand used the Elevator, Wächter stormed into the lobby, showing his VLIA ID to the attendant without rising suspicion under the guests and said he needed to see the register.
"But sir, I cannot give out any names, that's forbidden, they'll get me fired!"
"I don't care, if they don't do it, we'll do it because you didn't show it!"

"Okay, sir, I haven't heard of the name you did describe, but I have seen the man, he checked in just a few minutes ago, Petrov Veriensk, Room number 348." the attendant wanted to help the man standing behind Wächter, but Wächter asked something else, which irritated both the man behind him and the attendant.
"Two luxury suites for VLIA please, third and second floor"
"eh, yes sir, Room number 321 and number 289 coming up, here are the keys, have a nice stay."
"thanks, I think I'll remember you." Wächter made a move with his arm and 200 Euro appeared on the desk.
"here's your tip, do something nice with it."
with those last words he left for the elevator, together with Mörgenholm, carrying the cases for him.

The two Wingardian sportscars passed by the Baur au Lac as Legrand and shortly after the Van Luxemburgian agents' vehicles parked and the people headed inside. Kiefer had turned down the music, since they were already in Zürich, and because his ears were already buzzing due to the constant high volume. He let go of a sigh of relief as he switched off the music and drove behind Gerhard, towards the Eden au Lac Hotel.

A few minutes later, the two Mark VIs pulled over by the entrance of the extremely luxurious hotel. The agents got off their cars as two valet employees and two assistants from the building approached to aid in the unloading of the luggage. Brandt and Scherer chucked the keys of their cars at the valet guys and proceeded into the awe-inspiring resort, followed by the assistants, who were carrying a couple of luggage items, a metal briefcase and a black leather bag each.

Gerhard approached to the reception desk and a friendly attendant smiled at him. "Hello, sir. Welcome to the Eden au Lac Hotel. How may I help you?"

"Hello, we're agents Brandt and Scherer. The VLIA should've informed you about our arrival. Please ready our suites as soon as possible. It'd be very helpful if both of them had a view of the Zürich Lake and Baur au Lac." Brandt requested warmly.

"You should know that attendants listen with you on the phone at night."
"yes."
"I'll make it somewhat later, about a few days, call me wehn you're ready."

Kiev

Dmitri Yakovla walked through the manor just outside of Kiev. he was the leader of the Continetal GLM, and was called by Jacques Legrand a minute ago.
"He gets more dumb and irritating everytime. perhaps my order should arrive quite quickly."
at the same moment, the sound of an engine was cut off in front of the house and the doorbell rang.
"Grand-Ducal Postalservices, a package for you."
"Thanks, here's your tip." Dmitri deponated 2 Euros in the hands of the mailman. he slammed the door and opened the box. in it was a large, black object, longer than a Desert Eagle, with the markings of the Van Luxemburgian Army and VDZ & VL Weapons. he grinned.

70 Miles from Swiss Border

EBG 330: Alright, check in everybody!

EBG 360: Fire Team Ascent, we're on course

EBG 390: Fire Team Beirut, we're on course, but Team Descent got lost.

EBG 330: What do you mean they got lost? They have onboard navigation system, right?

EBG 390: It's a mystery of the mind on how those idiots work, all I know is, we gotta get on without em', they'll find us sooner or later, MOLIGNAR Armor isn't exactly too common outside of Vuhifell.

EBG 330: Yeah, your right, VL Command, request further instructions on whatever the hell we have to do, over.

"okay, I've put a card in the glove compartment, if you encounter any police, show the card and you can go through, we can put Police on Team Descent if you want."

The Swiss Border

The Porsche 997 in Van Luxemburgian Police Colours blocked the road, with it's warning lights engaged, aswell as a Range Rover, which had sirens on. their goal: blocking the road of every passenger who wanted to pass the border, because of the heavy snowfall.

Zürich

It was late at night when the egally black G-Classes arrived at the Eden Au Lac. somewhat later, in the morning, after the Vuhifellian EBG had checked in and got their rooms at the 3rd floor, everyone, including the VLIA agents, sat around the breakfast table, with views of the magnificent lake, discussing what to do.
"I think we should try to work together and follow him, but only 2 people at a time following him, the ret is doing something else here in Zürich. remember, use any 4x4 you can find when you drive out of Zürich, or else you will drive you car stuck in the snow. anyone else got proposals? we can't leave Zürich before Legrand leaves, so.."

Baur au Lac hotel, Zürich

The BMW 330d left from the aprking, after it had been returned to it's official owner, for now. despite the heavy snow, Legrand wanted to know where the was for the coming days, heck, maybe even weeks. he drove onto the Talstrasse, and accelerated until he saw a small pointer showing "Zürichhorn". he parked his car in a parking garage, paid and went outside. it was cold, very cold, but he walked on.

it was nice in the park, very white, with heaps of snow laying on the grass everywhere. a small pointer showed a ferry service to the other side of the lake, towards the Mytherquai. he ignored it, because it couldn't be running now. he walked back towards the garage, just seeing an Van Luxemburgian Police Range Rover passing by, likely patrolling the area surrounding the park.

when Legrand got into his BMW, he noticed that something had changed. but what? probably nothing. he started the engine and drove back towards the hotel.

What Legrand didn't know, was that a Blue Audi RS4 fired up his engine when he left the Hotel, and the vehicle followed him all the way towards the garage. when he pulled a car from the machine, Pete Nield already had entered the garage, together with his toolbox. he opened the BMW without touching the alarm and got to work. a while after, he had come out again, one GPS device was left in the garage, to be precise, in Legrand's car.
