The large vessel slowly made its way out of the docking bay of the orbital station Relativity. It was nearly a mile long, five hundred metres high and six hundred metres wide, irregulary shaped and with a potruding portion in the front which carried the large disc that was the bridge. Mounted above, and slightly in front of, the engines where two large boxes, missile pods carrying the powerful Protuberans missiles. The sides were littered with forward facing turrets of various size, large turrets with three heavy gravitronic guns to msaller ball turrets to fend of fighters. The ship left the protective fields that surrounded the Relativity orbital station and set course for nearest safe zone for a hyperspace jump. On the bridge the captain gave the order and the hyperspace generator was engaged, and the ship disappeared. A snesor would detect the tube-like extension of reality, and the vortex that seemed to suck in any light for about a picosecond before it vanished, but to the naked eye nothing of this was visible.
Throughout the Empire, this scene was repeated, with various stations and ships, but with a common destination: Planet #543, nicknamed P by the grunts. A battalion of the Army was loaded unto invasion carriers and the battleships, along with a full front of the Marince Corps.
The ships emerged from hyperspace at roughly the same time, a few lightminutes outside System #34, in Sector #7, and in a crude formation that quickly was organized as Admiral Long-Fangs roared his orders across the bridge of his flagship, the battleship USSRLSF War is Peace.
The battleship was positioned in the centre, with the carriers statoned behind it. The first line was made up of battlecruisers and heavy cruisers, while destroyers were positioned on the wings. Two echelons of frigates was to be the vanguard, using their sensors to detect enemy forces.
This was but a small task force, ten capital ships and the accompanying escort crafts, but it was all that could be scrambled on a moments notice, but it should be enough to force this puny planet to surrender. If not, reinforcments would have to be brought up...

This is the 10th Task Force of the Libertarian Spacefleet. Surrender immeidately and your lives will be spared, resist and you will all die.

''A short message, but this was no time for talking fancy. High Command wants this system secured ASAP.'' thought Long-Fangs as he ordered his forces to move closer to the edges of the system.

The cold space looked as empty as it used to, but the frigates were kept at Code Red anyway. The Abomination led the right echelon as they scouted ahead of the main body, at a distance of a few lightminutes. The Injustice guided the left echelon on their way to planet P. They would try to jam communications on the surface, while the other group watched out fro any incoming enemy ships.
