Marcus walked down Sunset Blvd. with two friends walking next to him. Until recently, Sunset had been nuetral territory, but two weeks ago the Bloods had taken the street for themselves. The tension between the two gangs had been heating up for a while now, and as a senior member of the gang, he knew that even the smallest thing could ingite a war that would tear Los Angeles and the rest of Alta California apart.
Roberto was driving and was turning around the corner when he and his four passengers saw the 3 Bloods, dressed in the Blood garb, walked down the street.
"Hey man, let's take out those motherf*****s! Let's score us a hit!" hollered one of the men in the back as he pulled out the light assualt rifle that Roberto kept under his back seat. The the gangster in the shotgun seat pulled out a Tech Nine, and and the two others looked at Roberto and smiled.
"Drive slow so we can cap these f**kers! Crip pride forever!" Roberto slowed down as the two with the guns slid out the windows of the station wagon.
Officer Bill Whitney heard the sound of gunfire from a few blocks away. He ran full speed in the direction of it and he got to the street just as he saw two men squeak back into a station wagon. He looked for those wounded from the attack, but he could find no one: no, there were four men sprawled on the ground over near the comic book shop. He ran over to see three of them dressed as Blood gang members, and one boy, with a backpack and school clothes on, he was holding a bloodspattered copy of Batman in his hand, and he looked at Whitney, gasping for air. He was riddled with bullets and looked to be aged ten, at the wrong place at the wrong time.
"I have shots fired at the corner of Sunset Bolevard, and I have 4 on the ground, 3 are mid twenties, one age 10, I need LifeFlight, and I need it now."
