Bjornoyan archaeologists stumbled upon a large deposit of pure silicon crystal on the island of Bioko off the coast of Equatorial Guinea. The archaeologists, who were researching a claim that ancient Bjornoyic triremes had reached the island, reported the findings to the local government and to the Bjornoyan Federal government.
The Bjornoyan Federal Government immediately offered to purchase the area in which the crystals were found. The local Biokoan Government showed concern over what the environmental and cultural effects of a Bjornoyan mining industry would be on their island.
The minister of the Bjornoyan Trade commitee assured the local officials that mining would be restricted to a reasonable level.
After a few hours of negotiation, the Bjornoyan Federal government offered to purchase the area for 150 million Euros. The local government quickly accepted the offer after the Bjornoyan trade minister demonstrated how rapidly the economy would flourish if mining were allowed.
The collapse of Zeeeland complicates matters for both parties. Equatorial Guinea has fallen into civil disorder three times in the past 2 months. Bjornoya sent a contingent of peacekeepers last month to both the island and the mainland. "If the local government is unable to protect its citizens, it revokes its own legitimacy. If it cannot fulfil its duty, we will do it for them, for the sake of the citizens," Bjornoyan Patriarch Rand proclaimed when the peacekeepers were sent.

Civil disorder struck Equatorial Guinea within a week. Bjonoyan peacekeepers quickly and efficiently restored order on the mainland. Patriarch Rand officially denounced the local government's legitimacy, and declared that Equitorial Guinea would be assimilated into the federation.
Meanwhile, mining has begun on Fernando Po. The precious silicon crystals are shipped back to the port of Esthar to be used to produced semi-conductors.
Bjornoyan troops are currently collecting data on the local populace to find who will replace the ineffective local government, and who will represent Equitorial Guinea in Bjornoya's advising commitee.

The Divine Empire of Kreynoria is interested in trading for the silicon you've discovered.

What is the Kreynorian Empire willing to trade?

Possibly some natural resource of your request.

We'd be interested in trading for large quantities of pure hydrogen deuteride gas.
With days, the rulers/presidents/ruling party/etc. would recieve, letters, many letters. They would be from "Varsolan Metals & Co.", "International Metals", "Element Hunters LTD" and around fourteen other various corporations, all asking if they would have a part in the metals, if they could buy some, if they could get some stock. All wanting profit.
OOC:Bad post, in a hurry, sorry.

Bjornoyan reply:
Bjornoyan corporations have set up three seperate mining locations. Bjornoyan based Visara Co. has started on the northern-most site. Bjornoya will allow foreign nations to set up mining facilities at the other two sites in exchange for large quantities of pure hydrogen deuteride gas. Many industries that mine for precious metals refine this form of hydrogen as an on-the-side business.
If that is not possible, paying for rights to the site and putting up with typical Bjornoyan taxes would be a suitable, but secondary substitute.

We will provide hydrogen deuteride in exchange for rights to mine silicon at the second site.

Deal, for every 1g pure silcon mined, trade for 1 liter pure hydrogen deuteride.

Bjornoyan archaelogists, who strongly suspected an ancient Bjornoyic influence in Bioko, are studying a partly preserved trireme from the northern silicon mining site. The trireme's construction is nearly identical to those found preserved in the icy regions of Archangelsk Oblast.
This, along with recent DNA testing of the native population strongly suggests that Bjornoyic tribesmen landed on the island around 1,100 AD.
DNA test comparing the genomes of over 200 natives of Bioko and 100 of the Bjornoyan Freemasons shows over 45 genes that are found only in the Freemasons' genome and natives of Bioko. Many of these genes are known to create immunities to diseases prevalent in medieval Europe.
Scientists believe these genes were passed from the ancient Bjornoyic explorers to the native population. The lack of these genes within mainland E. Guinea and surrounding region supports this conclusion.
Patriarch Rand expressed a his pride in refinding the "lost ancestors" of Bjornoya. "We hope these findings might ease some of the anxiety that the native Biokoans have concerning Bjornoyan presence there. We are delighted that our lost bretheren can rejoin their fatherland."

Since no-one wants to trade, Visara will mine the third site: This thread is concluded.
