Surrender Is The Only Option (Attn: Vrone)

Admiral Bebaus walked up to the bridge of the Sankue as his brother came up with his orders.
"Well Nafie, it seems like we have our first orders from the Triumverante. We are to invade the nation of Vrone. They are fairly weak and since the Empire stretched thin as it is with this war, HQ is giving us 500 ships. 150 Frontlineships and 350 Patrolships."
Nareece turned around at the reduced numbers. "That's half of my fleet!" He takes time to calm. "Oh well. I suppose this will just take expert leadership on my part. Set course for the Vrone system." He turned to the communications officer. "Send a message to their government."
Attention government of Vrone. This is Admiral Bebaus of the Abh Empire. You are given one last chance to surrender before you will be utterly destroyed. Surrender now and our terms will not be harsh. Fight and be defeated, then regret they day that you refused the first offer of peace by the Triumverante. We are here to force you into such peace if you will not willingly accept it.
General John Bridger walked up to his comm:
"State your terms"
The Humankind Abh
23-09-2005, 00:28
"1) You are to inform the Triumverante that you are withdrawing from the Republic. You will be brought under our protection to prevent what is left of the Republic from seeking revenge.
2) All of your ships are to be listed by class and list their quantity. Upon viewing your military, we will decide whether or not that to place a limit on your forces. We may choose to comission some of your ships into our fleet to serve the Triumverante to keep peace.
3) Marine and ground forces will be limited to 200,000. Your armored tanks and any supporting military units you have will be looked over.
4) No reparations will be payed.
5) You are to supply a list of all raw materials. Depending on whether or not we view your materials desirable or not, will determine if we open trade with you.
6) A space fortress will be constructed within the border of your nation along with a ship yard. You're people will not have to work the yards though if they wish to then they shall be given equal wages.
Do you agree to these terms?"
A single message went to the Vrone Government as comms went back and forth:
We got your back. Don't give 'em an inch.

A message was sent to Vrone's government from the Inter-Galactic Confederation of Deatharon:

Do not give in to these bullies, they are over confident, and Talean willing they shall fall. We have received aid from one of the largest and most powerful nations in the galaxy, the Godulans, the tides of war have turned, and we are not so hopeless in our defense. Stay strong, as so far it is the Abh who pose a threat to you, but with the Godulans generous help, you can defeat anything they send against you and repel the pitiful forces that the Deatharon Furher can muster after their defeat at the hands of the Triumvirate.

The Confederation true to it's word sent the 1st Confed Fleet led by Fleet Marshal Dylan Hunt. The Fleet Marshal was to ordered to support the Abh should the situation come to a fight the Fleet Marshal Dylan Hynt personally did not want to attack Vrone, however the Fuhrer and the High Command ordered it thus it must be done. The Fleet left the docking stations in the Milky Way Command base. The Wormhole Gate there kept the Aries Supercluster connected to the Milky Way.

Nareece had been monitoring the correspondence along with his communications officer. He brought the transactions to Admiral Bebaus to let Nafie look it over.
The Admiral's eyes roamed down the listing. "Prepare the fleet. I want the Frontlineships to fuel mines and open all ports. All Patrolships are to remove safeties on their weapons."
A message from Admiral Bebaus was sent to the Deatharon fleet.
We appreciate your support however, since you still hold close ties to Vrone we will not ask you to fire upon any of their forces. If you wish to support us then we ask that you fire on only other foreign vessels
Another message was sent to the Vrone government.
It is in your best interest to ignore these false hopes that your allies give you. Even if all your allies lined against us and managed to drive us back, we will be back and not alone. If you hold any love for your citizens, you will surrneder now and ignore these dying fools.
OOC: Gonna wait ta post the arrival of 'The Fleet' until Vrone responds. Until then, a preliminary measure...
IC: A single Heighliner materialized over the Vrone homeworld, its massive rocky bulk easily discernible even from its position in Geosynch. A great dark cloud of 'stuff' issued forth from the Godulan transport vessel, seemingly indifferent in its movements.
Comms went out to the Vrone defenders:
We back up our word with deed, as you shall see. Take up arms, friends, against those who would seek your doom and enslavement.
However, if you should wish it, we are fully capable of taking any and all evacuation vessels seeking egress from this system. We will provide safe haven should you accept.
~Heighliner 02-C
OOC: :) Never thought so many people be interested in me...
IC: Godular, I thank you for your support greatly, and I I'll remember this always. Abh, I cannot just abandon my region, who had been so gracious to me. I see only one way to resolve this, although I may be overshooting myself. If I decide to give myself over to you guys, you must promise me, that no more harm will come to any Republic nations anymore. I await your response hopefully,
respectfully submitted,
General John Bridger

Nareece smiled. "Finally someone with an artistic flare besides myself."
We respect and admire your request to protect your fellow allies. This sentiment is not lost on us. However, we are not in a position to accept such an offer. That would be a matter that you have to take up with the Triumverante. We are only the means to help bring about the closure of this conflict. If you wish, we shall personally bring this proposal up for you.
Nareece also noticed the arrival of a Godular vessel. The order was given for all vessels to prepare themselves for a possible battle. No measures were taken to threaten the Vrone planets in anyway.
EDIT: OOC: I would suggest you take up that offer in thread where everyone from the Republic is making an offer. The only thing I could have you do is surrender to me and guarantee that no harm would come to any of your citizens and that you would lose no territory.

Vrone, stay strong, and don't give yourself over. We can win this conflict, and we will win this conflict. We hit a rough patch, but we have done so on many occasions before, and look, we are still standing! Fight the vermin, and drive them from your territory! Tomorrow, some help will arrive to aid you and Godular. The Nirsian's have yet to engage someone, so they shall aid you.

OOC: Can't win this war? Heh heh heh... just play along dude, you'll understand pretty durn swift.
IC: For the moment, the Heighliner simply waited, the strange cloud wafting around its bulk. Its shields were up, and it simply waited.

The 1st Confed Fleet had arrived finally after jumping through mutiple wormholes. The Fleet Marshal Dylan Hunt recieved the Abh's message he sent one of his own:
The Confederation will engage any one who tries to defend Vrone from the justice of the Triumverante, however if no one arrives we will crush Vrone with you. Those were the orders of the Fuhrer.
The 1st Confed Fleet raised shields and went to battle stations. The Mothership commanding the Fleet prepared the A.I. defense grid and prepared for a large scale fight.
The cloud surrounding the Heighliner suddenly came to life, flooding into a strange pyramidal formation pointing outwards from the planet, interspersing itself directly between the Vrone homeworld and the approaching forces.
One of the annoying things about coming to the aid of the downtrodden was that some of them rather foolishly thought they deserved it. Well, far be it from the Godulans to allow one pessimistic nation's consignment to ignominy come to fruition.
A final message went out to the approaching fleets:
For attacking allies of the Triad Consortium, let it come to pass that a state of war now exists between the Godulans and the Triumverante. Your attempt at galactic conquest shall end with the ruin of your fleets and the slaughter of your armies.
You picked the WRONG fight.

The A.I. Battle system attempts to scan the Cloud that is forming along with the ship. The 1st Confed Fleet arms all conventional weapons on the ship. The Super weapon was also turned on as well. If the Golduar ship tried to wipe the fleet out with a weapon of mass destruction. The whole Vrone planet would be completed obliterated by the weapon. The Fleet Marshal Dylan Hunt sends a message to the Golduar ship:
I personally do not want to harm the citizens of Vrone. I am going to ask you polietly to please leave this area, The people of this world have already surrendered to us, needless fighting will only lead to them suffering.
Feel free to make the attempt. You WILL regret it. As for the rest of you... well... Die.
With that response, a small signal was sent out to the cloud, and the cloud formation broke, for lack of a better term.
Now, it is particularly important to note at this time that the cloud was, in fact, a truly massive swarm of highly specialized, and highly explosive, Fusion mines. With each individual mine containing an effective yield in keeping with the warhead of a fusion missile from Red Rain, these mines took on a different tack to destroy the enemy.
Each mine, using no form of motility other than a probability drive, would simply materialize close to a selected target, and utilizing the heisenberg theories inherent to completion of transit, alter their momentum such that upon materialization, be traveling at approximately half the speed of light directly towards the closest enemy vessel.
Red rain had been destructive before. It had been the end of many Chronosian vessels at the Battle of Thorn by the sheer firepower it brought to bear against enemy fleets.
Now, the Deatharon and Abh vessels had something worse to deal with. The equivalent of a sustained Red Rain bombardment, as legions of the powerful mines appeared mere meters away from the enemy vessels and launched themselves at their shields and hulls with an explosive ferocity unmatched by anything seen before.
Even with the high volume of mines being thrown at them, the cloud itself appeared unchanged, as the Godulan Heighliner had brought so many of the mines that not even they knew exactly how many were in the Heighliner to begin with.

As mines slammed into Abh ships, Admiral Bebaus had little time to respond to Vrone.
I can only represent you if we survive. If we are destroyed then this conflict is continued. I suggest you do something about your "allies" if you don't want that to happen.
Nareece saw as mines suddenly appeared out of nowhere within meters of his ships. "I want the Frontlineships to retreat into the Sord. From there they can launch volleys of mines from safety and not take any damage. Those Attack Vessels better move if we want to win this conflict."
Point defenses were working furiously to keep the mines at bay. Frontlineships launched a volley of mines to keep the enemy's mines at bay. Streams of laser fire poored out of all vessels. Many took damage within the first few minutes of conflict and several were destroyed but the majority of those that were destroyed were attack vessels.

The 1st Confed Fleet was barraged by the mines. The Point Defense phasers were attempting to hold them at bay but quite a few smashed into the shields and some even made hull damage. The Confed Fleet was making a fighting withdrawl out of the system. The Fleet Marshal had fired the super weapon. The Biological Terminator Warhead. The Warhead held the most deadly virius ever made by the Confederation. The Virius was highly aggressive and extermely hard to cure. It would take it about a month on the planets surface to infect and kill all Biological life on the planet. The Warhead heads to the planet's surface releasing its deadly contents.
OOC: Nice move, Deatharon. Abh said he didn't want to harm Vrone as long as it didn't do anything. Now any chance of peace is pretty much shattered.
The Humankind Abh
23-09-2005, 19:15
OOC: Not exactly. The warhead can still be destroyed but Vrone has to show that they want peace and that would also mean that Godular backs down from someone that is willingly surrendering.
Didn't Vrone already submit?

Or so it would, if it were not being happily tracked by the Godulan Heighliner directly in its path.
"That's quite a bulky little projectile, is it not?"
"NBC alert, that sucker's got a present for the planet below."
"Feed it some mines, then prepare to expend all munitions on the remainder of the Abh and Deatharon fleets."
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Some twenty Fusion mines materialized directly in the path of the missile, traveling towards the missile at approximately two-thirds the speed of light. If their sheer velocity didn't destroy the missile in a collision, the massive detonations would vaporize any and all trace of its existence.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
"If that didn't kill the missile, keep up the fire. Beyond that, with the entrance of the Kythons, I suggest we should complete expenditure of munitions."
"Oh the sweet music you speak my friend! Designating targets."
"On my mark."
"Screw that, commencing Full Onslaught."
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
In stark contrast to the rather slow, almost unnoticeable depletion of the mine cloud before, entire sections of the cloud began to vanish.
...And rematerialize directly within the greater bulks of both enemy fleets. It would have seemed at first that both fleets had suddenly found themselves engulfed in a wave of fast-moving fightercraft numbering in the tens of thousands, save that these weapons were slamming themselves into enemy vessels and detonating in tremendous explosions of nuclear energy.
This actually commenced in three separate waves. As soon as one shockwave completed, another one materialized around the fleets, surging in to add to this great big charnel house in the sky.
And the Heighliner, retaining nought but a small grouping of Mines for protection before the probability transit out, simply waited...

OOC: Since you have tens of thousands of these little bastards then I am going to assume that they are no bigger than an average mobile mine.
IC: Point defenses still maintained their steady stream of focus on enemy mines and droid fighters. Energy weapons fired destroying many in one blast. The majority of mines hit themselves since they were so close and were completely useless on the Abh fleet.
All Frontlineships maded it back to the sord where they would be safe from all enemy fire. There they waited to unleash another volley of thousands of mines after what was left of the fleet made it out.
OOC: sorry, modem was down

The sudden rush of mines was a surpise to the Confed fleet. The Point defenses had to keep up there fire upon the constant mine attack. The shields were taking a sever beating. The Psy Cannons were now unleashing there massive energy volleys. This was used to destroy hundreds of the mines at one time before they even reached the shields. The Confed Fleet was nearly in postion. They were aiming at the Goldar ship. The goal was to unleash there first missile volley and defeat this upstart.

Sorry Vrone. You just have the bad fortune of being the site of a battle. You are right though that it is not fun just killing humans. Your planet shall be left in peace.
I thank you for your gesture of peace. I will, therefore, not aid the republic anymore with miltary force. I shall not respond on these threads anymore, as I cannot bear to see human beings being killed for nothing. Does anyone know how this war was started? Cause I don't. Just remeber that, when you're picking up your dead comrades.
Actually, not sure how big mobile mines are, but the mines in Onslaught are about fifteen feet wide, and have a cohesion mechanism that prevents them from accidentally overlapping and colliding.
As for the Psi-Cannons, you can shoot at mines with 'em, but the mines don't just line up to get shot down. They take random insertion vectors in order to prevent 'clumping'.
The Humankind Abh
24-09-2005, 04:14
Ok then you have some big a** mines that I was not aware of. Mine are much smaller and harder to shoot down with point defenses. EDIT: Umm forget that part. I read meters. That's what I get for typing when I'm talking to my girlfriend. Ummm...make your own jokes about that one.
I understand that the mines don't just move in a line. My are the same way. They lock onto a target and follow it. I'm not saying that my laser cannons hit the mines with one shot but knowing now that they are fifteen meters, they don't miss too many times.

OOC: The Psy Cannons concentrates Psyker energy into a single shot blast. It is not a long range weapon. Its primarly meant for taking out a large Capital ship or a group of fighters or mines that are in close range to the fleet. It seemed like the mines were grouped together trying to get in close sorry, If I misunderstood.
True to their oaths to the Republic, the Nirsians answered the call put out by the Senate to aid both Kazeci and Vronian forces. And so, with the arrival of the small fleet in Kazeci space only hours ago, the second force sent out, consisting of a much larger force of 32 starships de-activated their warp engines and started heading on impulse power towards the battlegrounds.
They came in, guns blarring against those that attacked either Republican or allied forces. Torpedoes flying forth, and the long red beams of energy which were the blasters emerging from the ships and sliding across the hulls or shields of the enemy vessels.
Message to Vrone
Do not give yourself over to them, your sacrifice is not needed. We have been sent here under orders from the Imperial Senate of the Republic, and have been instructed by Consul Alexander Kellerman to inform you that we understand that you wish for peace and think this war is pointless, but remember, we did not start it, it was brought upon us, but we will finish it. The Missiles were launched hundreds of Alpha Class warheads went towards Nirs ships. Some of them were hit by mines by sheer accident however and this lowered the number of missiles.
OOC: The Alpha Class warheads are the small fast missiles meant to take out fighters and light frigate ships. Beta Class warheads are meant for Cruisers and Omega Class missiles are for capital ships.

"Kazecistan would rather burn than surrender to those..." The message tailed off with assorted profanity directed at the Chronosians and their allies, ending with, of course, "Delende est Chronosia!"
The Kython fleet, waiting for the explosions to finish wracking the enemy fleets, made a quick jump, splitting in two to fight the Abh and Deatharon fleets, with the Kython Slaughterkings Capital vessels bringing forth a massive fusillade of Ion Cannon Fire that would sap shields and knock enemy ship systems the heck out, acting like concentrated pulses of electromagnetic force that left ships dangling lifeless in the void. The Kython fighter craft, the Slaymasters, resembled their larger brethren, appearing almost as wide as a TIE Fighter, but displaying far superior agility, speed, and firepower.
While this normally would only cause the vessel to hang adrift until afflicted powers systems and the like were repaired, hopefully before life support ran out, the Slaughterkings employed a second weapon, a light disc that they emitted from their widest axis, creating a great cutting blade of pure energy that could slice through ship hulls like a hot knife through butter. If any ship lost its shields, it was nigh instantly victimized by several slicing Kython blades. Even the Slaymaster fighters had a version of this blade, in the form of their buzzing monoblade disc that enabled to slice in half any unwary fighters that proved luckless enough to come across its path.
After their battles, The Kythons take the remains of any and all vessels they destroy, for later salvage and usage as raw materials in their ever surging need to propagate...
The Kythons were made as a shock and awe weapon, and they were amazingly proficient in the art of killing. Today was their day.

Another mine slamed into the side of the Sankue as Admiral Bebaus braced the side of the rail to keep from falling. It was clear that he was going to have to call for reinforcements. "Communications officer! Send a message to Lord Rahl. We need his fleet here immediately. It is time for him to come out from hiding. I want the Frontlineships to focus all mine attacks on the Kython ships. We can't lose anymore ships to those damn ion cannons. I want the Patrolships to link up with the Deatharon fleet. We shall bolster their defense and add to their fire power. We need to take that blasted concrete tube out immediately before they pound us to death with these blasted mines."
The few hundred remaining Patrolships left ignited their engines to full power to anchor down the Deatharon forces. The order was given for all ships to launch their mobile mines. They wouldn't be able to use them as a means of attack even though that is what they are meant for on a Patrolship. All mines were launched and formed their own defensive cloud around both Abh and Deatharon vessels. The friend foe information was programmed and would keep allied vessels safe.
Once they were in position, all Patrolships readied their electro magnetic rifles for a volley at the mine ship. Each ships carried 8 turrets of this weapon and all locked on and fired at the Goldular vessel hoping to destroy it with one massive attack.
The Frontlineships were ready for their volley of mines. Only about 500 mines were prepared for this volley. The bulk would be saved for dire circumstances or added attacks. The mines were targeted at the Kython ships. Each mine detected their energy source and locked on so that it would trace the movements of their ships.
Lord Rahl received the dire message on Neo D'Hara and set out immediately for the battle. A hundred Patrolships and a SSD would arrive at the battle in 12 hours.
Another 10 Patrolships went down from the ion fire. Where ever a ship was hit by the ion fire, four Patrolships stepped up to defend it and take out any advancing Kython vessel.

OOC: You're welcome to try to invade a nation of a wee billion and I'm not so foolish as to leave my nation completely undefended especially when I have complete control of Neo Zeta's forces at the moment.
The Kythons backed off for a moment, taking stock of the situation and sticking to a longer range fusillade against the enemy vessels. They needed only disable the vessels, after all. They just particularly enjoyed cutting them to pieces. Such could wait, however.
Whenever enemy counterfire got too strong, the Kythons simply iterated on mass, translocating the entire fleet in unison, or even creating pincer fronts to take the enemy from two sides at once.
In a strange turn, while counterfire did end the occasional Kython Slaughterking, the Kython vessels found themselves strangely resilient against the Deatharon psi cannons, and were, as a matter of fact, able to return a few volleys of cannon fire right back at the offending vessels.
However, even with the hectic nature of the battle, the formation that the Abh and Deatharon fleets had struck did not go unnoticed by the pilot of the Heighliner. A trio of Godulan Makos, primarily sent to keep a more 'human' eye on the fleet, had moved in towards the Heighliner and were preparing to take the two pilots away, in the event the massive vessel should come under attack.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Adjutant, you must board now. We cannot wait much longer.
"Just give me a few seconds! I'm gonna break their formation."
How?
"Piledrive them. Just let me set the iteration conditions, alright?"
How long?
"Just a few seconds. I just need to type this in... put in a manual override here... type some more... and... DONE! Get me out!"
Transporting now.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mere seconds after the remaining pilot was transported out from the Heighliner, the massive vessel vanished, as well as its small remaining complement of Fusion mines.
The mines materialized amidst the enemy fleet, providing one last hurrah by smacking into the nearest capital vessel, but to anybody in the enemy fleet, the meager mine strike would have proved as only a token diversion for the real horror.
An eighty kilometer long block of concrete hurtling towards the fleet on the vector of the enemy fleet's widest point, spinning as though somebody had placed a pencil on the table and twirled it, at approximately one fifth the speed of light.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Holy SHIT... what did you do?!"
"Only made the biggest mass driver shell in the universe. I hope it'll get me in the record books."
"There isn't words for it..."
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Taking a cue from the Heighliner's sudden... re-orientation, the Kython vessels iterated behind the massive vessel, using it both as a shield and as a massive plow, letting its sheer momentum do all the work they needed to be done and opening fire on anything that attempted to dodge it.

Admiral Bebaus didn't even have time to act shocked, he had just enough time to give orders to the combined fleet. "I want all ships to split in two. Redirect whatever mines are left at the Kythons. We'll use that as a precursor to our attack. Once the mines lead the way, our ships will engage the enemy. All ships, engage Space Time Generators! That will give added speed and help avoid the blasted thing. Load all weapons. Prepare for surround attack!"
Once the tube was in range, the mobile mines shout out around it towards the Kython vessels. Once those mobilized, the fleet itself sped off out around the concrete tube. Once the manuever was complete, they would prepare for surround attack.
The Kythons, however, were tremendously fast in their own right, and their Slaymaster fighters were quick to rush forward, ramming into the enemy mines with wild abandon primarily due to the fact that they neither expected nor cared about the mines, and clearing a path for the Kythons to engage and commence a new Slice'n'dice run as they effectively began to close a massive pincer, using the Heighliner as a hinge to close claws around the enemy fleet.
"Look at 'em skitter!"
"I have to admit that the move is having less of an effect than I expected, but if those Kythons pull off their own maneuver in addition to it, there's no way that fleet could get out of the way in time."
"Comms, what's the time line on the secondary reinforcements?"
"A couple hours, sir. They're calculating probability solutions as we speak, but the notice of potential imperial interference means that they only just started the calculations."
"Well, lets hope our pseudo mechanized friends can do what they need to."

Instead of engaging the Kythons, the 200 remaining Patrolships just moved out of the way. All Patrolships were still ordered to complete the manuever. "All Patrolships, turn around!! Fire all weapons! I want their ships burning."
Bebaus drew his command saber and pointed to the halo display on the command grid of the ship. "Frontlineships, second volley!"
The Patrolships completed their manuever and formed an unified line. All weapons opened fire into the backs of the Kython ships. The Frontlineships launched a second volley into the sides of the vessels. A thousand mines shot out from the 250 Frontlineships. This means only 4 mines to each vessel when each was capable of firing 60 at a time. The mines were being saved for an all out onslaught.
"How long til Lord Rahl arrives?"
"In about 8 hours Admiral. That is if he doesn't run into any trouble along the way."
"We have to hold until then. We can't surrender this planet! We show no weakness to the Republic. IS THAT UNDERSTOOD?!"
The entire bridge resounded with a "YES ADMIRAL!"
The Kythons took this odd maneuver in stride, incorporating it into their plan by splitting their forces again. Now, the remainder of the Kython column that had been splitting across the beam of the Heighliner simply split... early. Like a ripple of razor blades, they simply shifted their orientation with whipcrack speed and surged forth, bringing full salvos of Ion Cannons sweeping across the enemy vessels' aft and slicing through unprotected vessels with their light discs. Their armor and shields, surprisingly strong despite their small size would be sufficient to withstand most mines that did not make it through the Slaymasters.
The Kythons would not let their meals get away from them.

The Psy Cannnons were fireing upon the Kython Capital ships. The massive amounts of energy were flying towards there ships hungry for there death. The Fleet fire its primary weapons the Distergrator cannons at the on comeing Kythons ships hopeing to force them back. The fighters tried to heads towards the Golduar ship and take it out with Ant-matter missiles.
As was proven before, the Kythons displayed a remarkable resilience against the Psi cannons, and actually returned a like amount of fire right back at the offending vessels. The weapons inflicted a toll, as any assault would, but it seemed as though only massive amounts of fire on weakened vessels actually had the effect of destroying those particular Slaughterkings. The Disintegrator beams inflicted a toll as well, reduced by the Kythons' extensive shielding and armor.
The Kythons hurtled forward, leveling massive Fusillades of Ion Cannon fire upon both the Deatharon and Abh fleets as the Massive Heighliner proceeded on its tremendous ramming course with the stubborn Deatharon forces.
The enemy was pinned now, with nowhere to go and a massive block of hardened concrete slamming towards the Deatharon fleet, which largely ignored the volleys of anti-matter weaponry dealt to it by the fighters, particularly as those fighters were being assaulted by legions of Kython Slaymasters which utilized their greater agility to inflict their own form of death and get out of the massive projectile's way, and also due to the fact that there was simply so much Heighliner to take into account.

The Confed Fleet could not keep this up several vessels had been destroyed or disabled. The Disabled ones started to self-destruct after the crews were evcauted. The Fighters were taking a pounding. The Fleet Marshal decided that the Omega Class Missiles would have to be used agaisnt the slaughter Kings.
OOC: The Omega Class Missile is big slow and meant to take out big captial ships. There are shielded and heavily armored however.

OOC: Godular, could you post how many ships you have and how many are actually destroyed or damaged? It's just so I can make my casualties more realistic. Thanks
IC: Admiral Bebaus saw the trouble Deatharon was having. "I want all Frontlineships to fire a thrid volley. This time half of a full barrage. All Patrolships, wedge formation. If they want to try and divde our ships up, then they are going to take a hell of a beating. All ships are to hold fire until the Kythons are within point black range. Once in range, I want a steady stream of unified fire. I want them so close and our fire so intense that they can't even avoid it. All ships are to load electromagnetic rifles and prepare to fire."
Frontlineships launched a volley of several thousand mines this time. It was to lend support to the Deatharon ships and take a little heat off them. (The mines aren't as big as Godular's. Perhaps about half the size.)
Patrolships closed in forming into a wedge facing the Kython ships. Enough space was left in between each ships so that Ion fire couldn't just spray the entire fleet but they were close enough to support each other incase the Kythons tried to split them. If they wanted to split the forces, the Patrolships would be able to push them back.
"What is Lord Rahl's ETA?"
"About 2 hours Admiral."
"It's going to be close."
OOC: There were at the moment of their insertion into this battle, about 1250 Kython Slaughterkings. The important thing to remember about Kython vessels is that they are disproportionately powerful due to being controlled by what appears to be an external intelligence and thereby having more room to squeeze in additional systems, as they really have no crew or habitation areas.
In this case, a Kython Slaughterking is 230meters in diameter, extending by another 150m when the Light-Disc is activated, tremendously fast, agile, well armored and shielded, and equipped with a surprisingly large amount of firepower relative to their size.
The Kython Slaymaster, the Fighter craft that looks like a diminutive version of the Slaughterking and is no wider than a TIE fighter, is equipped with a monoblade disc instead of the light-disc, and instead of Ion cannons, it utilizes surprisingly powerful weapons called Kinetic Lances, which is basically a virtual matter projector combined with mass drivers. The Slaymaster also has tremendous agility and speed for its size, while retaining armor and weapon power.
The Slaughterkings focus on disabling enemy shields with their ion cannons, then rush in with their light-discs to slice off critical parts of the vessel, such as command structures or engine blocks.
Due to their speed and agility, they are somewhat less vulnerable to enemy mines and slower missiles due to the fact that they can effectively outrun them, or slice them in two with their light-discs. Of course, if enemy concentrations get too strong, the Kythons can simply probability jump away and attack from a more advantageous position.
Each Slaughterking carries Seventy-Five Slaymasters within its hold, arranged like cookies for easy dispersal.
Imagine a giant automated version of those freaky buzzsaw craft from The Incredibles.
At the moment, I haven't really gotten to dredging up an exact figure for Kython casualties, as I am operating under the understanding that both the Abh and Deatharon fleets have been ravaged by the Heighliner's mines, and the Kythons are relatively fresh, if not eager, in joining the battle.
Hope this helps.

Yep. Thanks :)
The time is now, yes, my queen?
Don't lose too many of my children... 'Husband'... fight your little wars... but I still want a hive fleet to rule...
Of course my queen...
They had been waiting for too long now. Thought it was not too long after taking over the Deatharon transport ships, they had just been waiting, deciding whether to enter this war any longer.
They simply lurked in the shadows, watching decisive battles, taking it what they could for information, and deciding who to aid should the time come to help the fellow... allies.
Now the attention turned to the battle, that had sparked near the Vrones, a relatively small space nation, a small nation that sparked a battle of an epic size. Now it was time to pounce, spring the attack.
Space and time rended apart. Something massive tried to rip its way through the three dimensional world, from the chaotic dimension that was known as the warp. In another instant, space and time were ripped asunder as a gaping hole between the dimensions was opened. What seemed like specs pouring through the smallest diameter of an hour-glass, were actually monstrous hive ships.
Most were heavily armored and gunned hive ships, but alot were also tyranid destroyers, and some escort-sized Kraken. But all were just as deadly int he fact that they were the swarm. The hive ships themselves carried the ground swarm, 150,000,000 of all breeds, the entire offensive force of the swarm.
The tide would be turned, but of course Nerasfatu would try to take the peaceful solution first before losing any of his queen's ships. He tuned in the mechanicle radio they had captured in order to communicate with machine using species.
"Attention those who are opposing Triumvate. This is an ultimative. Leave now, surrender this battle. The war is up to you, but leave this battle or we will intervene, and crush all who oppose."

The Abh fleet was beginnig to regroup while the Frontlineships prepared another pay load. The mine attacks were having little effect other than driving the ships away.
A large reading was forming on the Sankue's scanners. "Admiral! We have a large anomonally coming into our space."
The communications officer read the transmission. "Sir, they say they are here to support the Triumverant."
Admiral Bebaus sighed as more reinforcements had finally arrived. "Keep your distance and see what happens."
The officer looked back up. "Admiral, Lord Rahl hass arrived with his squadron. The SSD Fuhrer along with a detachment of 100 Patrolships."
The Admiral was starting to feel a little more comfortable but the battle was far from over and there was still formadible enemy to deal with.

OOC: IC Post coming.
"Sir, we've got incoming. Two fleets. One appears to display architecture suggesting insectoid construction, as well as... unknown origin..."
"Attention those who are opposing Triumvate. This is an ultimative. Leave now, surrender this battle. The war is up to you, but leave this battle or we will intervene, and crush all who oppose."
"Well... guess that leaves little to debate about their intentions. What's the second fleet?"
"Coming in... now... whoa."
"Whoa? Whoa what?"
"Its another Kython battleswarm, a goodly chunk of the Godulan Starnavy, Multiple Red Rain torpedos and Javelins, and four more Heighliners. Readings indicate that these are heighliners that were stationed around Kazeci borderworlds, but have been moved to assist in the battle."
At that moment, the comms surged with the resonating voice of... who was that?

"...Multiple thousands of Starbolt Fighters, Drone Gunships, sir, they really WERE coming loaded for bear."

"Commander, it appears Vrone is losing their battle. We don't want the Triumverate to gain too much power. You now have the order to move in, and take up the enemy fleet. The bio-degradors you just ordered have been estimated at eight hours, but otherwise, good luck!"
The commander sighed. Eight hours for bio-degradors he needed to take out the enemy now, and the Godulan fleet under severe attack. It still amazed him that they were openly attacking allies' ally's fleets, but still, it was necessary. If the Triumverate gained too much power, it would destabilise the League's power base, especially considering the Triumverate was made up of warmongering, traitorous nations such as Deatharon and the now-defunct Neo Zeta.
He only had seventy ships of the line, and, in the face of such large fleets, seventy hundred-metre long frigates were hardly a threat, indeed, all they were doing was showing their open defiance.
He was preparing to leave TrueSpace, and then.... "No. I'll not go without the degradors. I'm not letting my men face a horde of unstoppable alien beasts without proper weaponry, whether you court-martial me, or not, admiral! He sat down, and began to wait. Damn that arrogant admiral for sending him in to open suicide, damn him! His men wouldn't die with no good cause, and he was going to make sure of that...

The Battle was getting intense. The Fleet Marshal Dylan Hunt watched as enemy and Deatharon vessels were vaporized in hails of weapons fire. He sighed and waited for the 3rd Confed Fleet to come under Fleet Marshal Sarin. The Fleet Marshal knew Sarin would be a little late from his set time but he knew Sarin brought some new toys for this battle and boy were they needed at this moment.
Does not seem like they wish to surrender...
Fight your wars... just be warned...
Nerasfatu sighed on his command ship, the Ravager, which unto itself was much bigger than all the other Hive Ships.
He gave his psi command. Start moving in the fleet, keep close as to make a web of crossfire for smaller ships, and ready tentacles incase of an encounter with major capital ships.

Bebaus's fleet had grown to 300 Patrolships and was now anchored down by an SSD. Knowing what the Heighliners were for, the Admiral wouldn't make the same mistake twice. The SSD was to focus all firepower on those four ships before they could launch their mine attacks. He gave the order to the combined fleets present.
Take out those damn concrete tubes of theres before they can launch their attack. Send what firepower you can after it and don't stop until they are destroyed.
The Patrolships would take care of the annoying little fighters while the SSD maintained close proximity and would deal with any ion technology that the Kythons would throw at them.
The Planet Jurai
26-09-2005, 16:46
Suddenly, a fleet of approximately 250 huge battleships appeared seemingly out of nowhere. The fleet appeared already in motion, moving towards Abh fleet, but refraining from fire for the time being.
Then, the following message was sent to all ships in the system:
Attention to Republican and allied ships: we are allies come to help! Attention to Triumvirate and allied ships: depart this system immediately, otherwise we must attack! This is your only warning!
As soon as the Heighliners appeared, they took on a two-by-two formation, utilizing one pair of the massive vessels to shield the others. Strangely, only two of the Heighliners began issuing forth their respective mine clouds. These new mines were faster to act, slamming forth into the combined enemy fleets mere seconds after being released from the bulky cargo ship.
The two mine swarms were somewhat different from each other, however. This time, one swarm was composed of the normal fusion mines, which surged forth to lay waste to the enemy fleets with a fury respective to each fleet's size. The second mine swarm was much like their fusion bomb counterparts, however, when these detonated, they unleashed a singularly massive pulse of ion radiation, with enough power to pop shields like balloons and leave the enemy vessels completely undefended for the next mine, which could shatter their electronics and leave them dangling lifelessly in the void. The initial parts of this onslaught were turned primarily on the Abh and Deatharon fleets, as the Godulans were still uncertain about the nature of the Azaha vessels.
As counterfire from the Abh fleet reached the heighliners, it soon became clear that the massive vessels protecting the ones sending out the mine swarms had inexplicably prodigious shield power. The weapons burst shimmered and crackled against these situationally uncooperative Heighliners, and otherwise appeared as if nothing else were at issue.
Meanwhilst, the Godulan Starnavy moved to interject itself into the Azaha fleet's path, cutting loose with simultaneous fleetwide salvos of Flux Cannon and Protium Arc Disintegrators upon the approaching enemy vessels.
"Await my signal," Achaedus said, watching the situation from his holocommand chamber. "Let them get a good steam before we derail them..."
The first Kython Battleswarm, oddly enough, decided to focus on longer range strikes, aiming their Ion cannons for strikes against the rear of the Abh fleet, which had rather unsurprisingly attempted to focus fire on the Heighliners, mistakingly thinking them the largest threat. Shifting power from their lightdiscs to their ion cannon, they amplified the power of their own weapons in order to strike all that much harder against their foes. The Second Kython battleswarm focused fire on the Deatharon fleet, intending to shatter the remnants of that meager force before they could recieve any reinforcements. Utilizing the mine swarm and the enemy's distracted nature, they focused massive volleys on the enemy.
The Tyranid fleet wasted no time going for the Godulan fleet. En masse the entire fleet moved in on the ones attacking them. Symbiotic weapons gestated and ready.
It seemed they had the numbers, firepower, and size to beat the battle fleet attacking them, it might only be a matter of time. But things have suprised Nerasfatu before.
The heavily armored boney prows of the ships took hit after hit. Normally these ships would be used for planetary invasions, where they would be facing much larger planetary defence cannons. But now it was space, and space-based smaller weapons would come up against prows meant to take on big guns.
Smaller escort sized Kraken sped ahead, trying to dodge weapons and close in on the major threats, mainly the ones with the biggest guns. Numbers were not an issue to the swarm, for now.

The Call had come for more men, more reinforcements. With plenty of regular ships on the Neo Zetan Front, it became clear that more was required. The word arrived via reports that the enemy here was the Godulans, an enemy with massive technological might and plenty of men and machines to spare. Thus, no expense was spared in preparing three warfleets to take command. Six were requested, but the politicians demanded less.
They arrived just in tiem for the fireworks. The commander onboard, Commander Jacinta Rodrigues, ordered the fleet into a loose box formation, similar to that used by B-17's in WWII, to cover all possible attack angles. The Amethyst cloaking detectors were activated, scanning the stars for any hostiles who decided to hide. And, a close defensive screen of fighters and and Warp Cannon was on guard.
The New Dornalians then wired the Abh and Allied Fleets, saying, "This is Commander Jacinta Rodrigues, of the New Dornalian Ship Haywood. Where do you need us?"
OOC:
1st, 2nd, 3rd Fleets, under Commander Jacinta Rodrigues-numbers are for each fleet
60 Mao Zedong IIa Battleships-40 Marinesko TIEs or 30 Komsomols, 1,000 Troops each
50 Prochkhorovka Fleet Carriers- 500 Marinesko TIEs, 400 Komsomol IIs, 350 Grant Heavy Bombers, 350 Shturmovik Close Tactical Bombers, 200 Seminole Gunships, 1,000 Troops each
55 Relay Mobile Suit Carriers-45 Peter Townshends, 55 Keith Moons, 50 John Entwistles, 60 Roger Daltreys each
100 Zaitsev ISD's
OOC: Can we put a limit on the people that keep jumping in here?
"Sir, that's an awful large fleet."
"Hold..."
"Coming in fast, enemy fire is quite powerful."
"Hold..."
"Three Makos reporting massive damage, shuffling back into the fleet to regenerate shields... Kingdom Come's shields are holding."
"To hell with it, go nuts."
"Commencing full munitions depletion, initiating Protocol 39."
"And tell that pilot that the Godulans thank him for the idea."
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Even though the two Heighliners had not fully released their mine complements, they emptied themselves now, as the Heighliners' respective mine clouds suddenly engulfed every fleet in the system that didn't read as friendly, materializing within enemy fleets at the approximate speed of half the speed of light. Enemy clumps would find themselves massacred where they drifted, Charging fleets would be struck as if running into an explosive brick wall, and everybody else would simply be crushed as innumerable fusion bombs roared into their fleets.
Then, just as the explosions from the colossal fusillade receded, one of the Heighliners vanished, reappearing directly in front of the massive Azaha hive ship like a spear shaped asteroid 80 km long, and traveling at approximately two thirds the speed of light. With its velocity and the speed of the oncoming Azaha fleet, there would quite literally be no time to react.
At the same time, the other Heighliner vanished, materializing but a few hundred kilometers away from the Super Star Destroyer that was plaguing its brethren, coming forward with its broadside at about one third the speed of light relative to the enemy fleet. This time, the Kythons had already moved into position, spraying the enemy fleet with horrendous volumes of Ion Cannon fire from above and below, in order to prevent them from attempting to skitter out of the way like they did the first time.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Inventory check."
"Thirty Red Rain Torpedos, fifteen Javelins."
"Allocate fifteen Torpedos, ready to fire on my mark. Order all vessels to keep up the fire."
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
As a final note, as the two Heighliners pulled their ramming runs, the other two massive vessels began to shimmer slightly with pent up energy...

Jacinta then said, "All units. Jump to another location!"

OOC: It seems pretty even now since there is 4 nations to 3 but no more than this. Oh and if this doesn't make sense then read my first post where I said I only brought half of my fleet into the system.
IC: As the Jurai's battlecruisers materialized behind the enenmy lines Admiral Bebaus grinned. "So it seems like we have all the players present now. It seems like HQ knew what they were talking about. Let's bring in the remainder of our fleet. Prepare Frontlineships for a full volley."
At that time 500 Guardships jumped behind the Jurai fleet from the Sord. They were the bulk of the Abh fleet heavily shielded and thick hulled with high energy weapons. The Jurai ships were now between a hammer and an anvil with the newly arrived ships and the already present forces. The Frontlineships also focused their volley on the side of their formation. They were only presented with one way out.
Lord Rahl more than expected the ion fire and the Heighliner ship since he was already warned about the manuever from the last time. The SSD was already in motion to avoid the ship. Shields were set to maximum on it's broadside in case it didn't move in time. The ship's ion cannons were polarized to counter any ion fire power. The hyperdrive was already powered up incase it needed to move at a moments notice.
Guardships opened fire on the Jurai vessels while the Frontlineships focused their mine attacks bombarding their flanks. "Let that be an answer to whether or not we are leaving this system."
The ship's ion cannons were polarized to counter any ion fire power.
Not quite certain what you mean by that. Are you trying to shoot Ion cannon blasts with ion cannons blasts? Like shooting bullets out of the air?
Also, them SSDs are durned clumsy in their movements. The Heighliner is coming from dead ahead of the SSD this time, so it would take a few seconds just to get the thing turning.
The Humankind Abh
27-09-2005, 00:51
OOC: Sorry about the ion confusion. No not trying to shoot them out of the air and I thought you said that it was going to broad side it the SSD. In any case it's climbing instead of moving in another line. It does have more than one way to move.
Naw, the Heighliner is incoming such that it is facing the SSD headon with its Lengthwise axis. Also, at the present time, there is two forces of Kython Slaughterkings forming a corridor just wide enough for the Heighliner to pass through, essentially pinning the Abh fleet in between. Any attempt to dodge up or down puts the fleet into Kython melee range, which is frankly an area of combat at which they excel. Other than that is moving sideways, but there's not really enough time to do that. At best the SSD will leave with a goodly portion of a selected broadside flattened out like a rolling pin.
In any event, pretty swift, there's gonna be something else to worry about. for both the Abh and Azaha fleets.

OOC: Alright then. Don't need to go over or around but through. Especially since it is concrete.
IC: All forward batteries opened up on the Heighliner. Streams of red fire and torpedoes poured out of the ship blowing holes into it. Once it was close enough the ship would ram it so that it would crack down the middle with minimal damage. Shields were set to maximum to prepare for impact.
The Tyranid hive ship splintered and broke apart, bloody chunks, bones, and jets of plasma(Organic) shot out in all directions.
One at a time? At this rate they might aswell shoot thimbles at us, would take the same ammount of time.
Nerasfatu laughed, then wondered why he was talking to himself.
The fleet pushed forward. The boney prows of the ships still took the brunt of enemy fire. The prows could take all the fire for the entire battle if need be, but hopefully the enemy fleets would not be dumb enough to keep shooting at the Tyranid fleet from the front.
Pushing forward, they ships started to spread out slightly, but not too much. They tried to shoot right into the enemy fleet. Not exactly trying to ram ships, but if ships got in the way, they would be swept aside by the prows of the Tyranid fleet. The aim was to get right into the enemy fleet, start shooting shortrange, but very poweful weapons, then latch onto any major starship with the Hive ships' massive and powerful tentacles, and last, if it got to that point, start to board troops to take over the enemy capital ships.
OOC: I guess I should have clarified a little, Azaha...
Nerasfatu sighed on his command ship, the Ravager, which unto itself was much bigger than all the other Hive Ships.
I was aiming at that one.

OOC: Not going to let my commander die in the first bits of battle, especially the only true charactrer that I can have character RP with. The Nirsian vessels continued to fight alongside the Godular vessels, defending the Vronians.
(OOC: Yeah, crappy post. Give me a break, all I know of this thread is that Vrone is the site of a battle, and that I'm fighting here.)
I'll let Azaha modify his post in the event that it should be a major issue. In any event, I doubt it'll alter the nature of the charge very much, so I'll start up the next phase.
The Heighliner hurtling into and through the Abh fleet had a slight rotation going along its lengthwise axis just in case somebody thought they were going to shoot their way through. Instead of shooting a hole through the Heighliner, the Super Star Destroyer would be forced to slice the Heighliner in half.
As the Heighliner smashed through the enemy vessel it became readily apparent to the Godulans observing the battle that more than anything else, these strange vessels relied entirely on their bony armor and if any shields were being utilized it wasn't here. General Achaedus knew exactly what that meant.
"Hmm... our Kythons will have a field day with their discs... Order Iteration one to commence for approach from counterclockwise to ecliptic. Fire Red Rain Torpedos one through fifteen with targets on major vessels in Azaha fleet, then order Kython Battleswarm 2 to iterate into their fleet and engage melee. They should be fast enough to avoid close-quarters fire. As soon as Red Rain is fired, commence Death Dart Saturation. Lets give everybody here a nice curdled taste of Kython Boarding."
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
The fleet pushed forward. The boney prows of the ships still took the brunt of enemy fire. The prows could take all the fire for the entire battle if need be, but hopefully the enemy fleets would not be dumb enough to keep shooting at the Tyranid fleet from the front.
And indeed they weren't. As a matter of fact, the Onslaught mines attacked the Azaha fleet primarily from the rear and sides, as the mines were programmed not to focus on any one entry vector when they commenced probability jumping into the fleet.
As the Azaha fleet approached the Godulan vessels, the entire Mako fleet dematerialized and reappeared a goodly distance to the side, opening up with massive salvos of focused Flux Cannon and Disintegrator fire. No matter how hard the armor on the Azaha vessels was, it would have been nigh impossible to stop weapons that rent the very fabric of space time to destroy the enemy. With Flux Cannons focused on single vessels like a magnifying glass focusing a laser, the spatial ripping would encompass a volume large enough to tear a vessel to shreds, shields, armor, or not.
At the same time, fifteen massive torpedos materialized at random spaces around the Azaha fleet, front, back, side, above, and below. The Red Rain torpedos had never lost their usefulness to the Godulans, with each Torpedo incorporating 450 fusion missiles that targeted enemy vessels at random to devastating effect, and also utilizing a 250 meter long shielded and self-powered ramming wedge that focused on the largest enemy ship and went into overdrive, ramming the enemy vessel at maximum speed and, if necessary and capable, coming about for a second ram.
As soon as the explosions and carnage from this latest group receded, the Kythons would move in, focusing maximum energy on their light-discs to increase the diameter that they extended to, and the Godulans would unleash their Death Darts, preparing to fight fire... with fire.

The Confed 1st Fleet just keeps pounding the numerious enemy forces when out of nowhere. The Third Confed Fleet under Fleet Marshal Sarin jumps out of there wormhole and immediately supports the 1st Fleet and adds to there once weaken defensive power.
OOC: Not going to let my commander die in the first bits of battle, especially the only true charactrer that I can have character RP with. OOC: It is an 80km long, 12km wide, and half km thick tube of reinforced concrete. Chances are that if it doesn't knock out the main ship, it'll bounce around a bit, likely knocking out a few of the other 'hive ships' and leaving the main vessel severely damaged. After the first impact, it would almost be like I'd hurled a meteor swarm atcha, doing somewhat more damage over a larger area but sparing your main guy. Is this a suitable alternative?
Oh, and if the vessel is small enough to actually fit THROUGH the Heighliner, assume that the Heighliner was oriented to hit the vessel edgewise, which might also cause some deflection into the rest of the fleet... *shrug*

27-09-2005, 04:01
The SSD focused it's fire on the center of the concrete tube. Even with little cracks and holes that a small ship could inflict, the sheer momentum and velocity at which the Heighliner rotated would cause it to split in half on it's own.
Guardships pounded through the Jurai fleet without a single casualty and began to make it's way through the Kythons to link up with the weakend half of their fleet.
OOC: I would suggest waiting to say anything about the Jurai fleet until he has a chance to respond to the fact that your fleet appeared behind them.
Also, it seems amusing that a Heighliner approaching from several hundred km away, at one third light speed, is taking multiple posts to resolve. Even from a few thousand kilometers off, there would only be a few seconds to react...
It also seems I must clarify the mines to New Dornalia: They do not clump, and they don't really count as incoming as they materialize within the enemy fleet from random directions and with random targets in mind.

You may be right. But a few seconds is enough to score a few hits from missles and laser fire. Especially at any object travelling relative to the speed of light. I'll over look the fact that your concrete would crumble, but weakening it's axis of rotation would be enough for the sheer momentum to break it apart sending the peices wide enough to be deflected by the shields. I'm not saying the ship wouldn't take damage but it wouldn't be all that effective as you wanted it to be.
It might fly to pieces upon those stresses, but don't go thinking that they'll just be tiny little pieces either. You'll have essentially turned one dangerous flying object into a great many. And subjected yourself to a relativistic meteor storm.
In essence only making the situation worse.
I'm gonna start up an OOC thread for this one...

OOC:
Guardships pounded through the Jurai fleet without a single casualty and began to make it's way through the Kythons to link up with the weakend half of their fleet.
I am sorry, but I consider this Godsmoding, so I am going to ignore this post until we sort the situation out. I would like to specifically point a couple of things to you:
1. Jurai Battleships currently aren’t traveling anywhere near the speed of light (otherwise it would simply be impossible for them to aim at anything). Also, while they aren’t firing at the moment, doesn’t mean that they aren’t ready to open defense or return fire.
2. (perhaps it is my fault for not making it clear…) Jurai Battleships appeared (i.e. slowed down) at some distance away from all fleets currently in the system; though we are currently closest to Abh and Godular fleets (and moving towards Abh fleet). So, you could technically target us with long-ranged weapons while we are making an announcement, but the part about “pounded through the Jurai fleet…” wouldn’t apply.
I would kindly ask The Humankind Abh to edit their last post to make it more realistic.
P.S.
If The Humankind Abh are upset over the fact that I sent some 250 battleships to aid the Republic, I would like to point out the fact that their allies just brought I-don’t-know-how-many thousands of ships into the system. I don’t think you are the side that should be complaining about “unfair numbers”.

I only posted that my ships moved through yours because your ships weren't doing anything. Having 500 ships wait around for you to do something really really slows things down. I don't care that you want to RP with us but do try to pay attention to the thread so nobody is waiting for you. Godluar, if you read my post I didn't say it would go to little pieces. I said the bigger pieces would hit the ship though it won't be direct. Anything that loses it's point of rotation will fly off in a straight line. So that means both halves could go to God knows where. It's just physics man not GM

Terribly sorry, this is my fault, I missed this:
At that time 500 Guardships jumped behind the Jurai fleet from the Sord. They were the bulk of the Abh fleet heavily shielded and thick hulled with high energy weapons. The Jurai ships were now between a hammer and an anvil with the newly arrived ships and the already present forces. The Frontlineships also focused their volley on the side of their formation. They were only presented with one way out.
Guardships opened fire on the Jurai vessels while the Frontlineships focused their mine attacks bombarding their flanks. "Let that be an answer to whether or not we are leaving this system."
Unfortunately, we operate in quite different time-zones, from the look of things… :( …I’ll give you IC response for this immediately.
IC:
The newly arrived Abh fleet clearly caught Juraian fleet by surprise, and before anyone reacted, a dozen battleships went down under Abh’s fire.
“Split the fleet!” Rear Admiral Rastell ordered hastily, “And concentrate most fire on their ships, those tricky bastards will pay!”
Immediately, Jurai fleet began splitting in two, with intent of capturing Abh Guardships between its halves. Even while performing the maneuver, Jurai Battleships opened fire from multiple side and rear cannons, aiming most of it at Abh Guardships. However, some mines made it past Juraians’ weakened defensive fire, bringing down one more battleship and significantly damaging several others.
P.S.
Just in case you think my losses were too few, keep in mind, that Jurai Battleships are pretty huge, about 450 meters long, with heavy armor and strong shields.

OOC: This is short so I am posting it here :p It's no big Jurai, was just making sure that you didn't think I was GM you. Just tyring to keep this battle moving. I have no problem with your casualties as long as you just post something along that line.
IC: The Admiral saw the manuever for it was but wasn't overly concerned about it (he's abh so he is going to be cocky) "All Guardships back to back. We'll match strength for strength. Each half is to form a wedge. We'll divide their forces into fourths and then isolate each quarter."
The Guardships split down the middle and began forming two wedges. They lead the way with an intense barrage to weaken the center of Jurai's halves. Then their engines ignited and the spead for the middle holding their fire into they got in close.
5 Guardships went down with Jurai's return attack and a few suffered more damage.
Psst: My Guardships are about the same as yours maybe with weaker shields and only 400 m long.
OOC: This is a repost of of when the concrete tube slams into the Ravager.
IC:
Nerasfatu quirked an eyebrow before the giant rock tube slammed into the prow of his ship. He flew forward and slammed into the front of his "Bridge". Outside the tube was halted not even for a split second by the Prow, and pushed into the ship, making a deep scar. It took several seconds before the concrete started to splinter and fall apart, the tube still going a very fast velocity. As the tube splintered and broke apart, shrapnel was tossed out in all directions, most only creating some what minimul damage to some ships, but the other huge junks ripping deep wounds into the hulls, causing blood to shoot out like jets of fire.
The Ravager and many other hiveships had succesfully been crippled.
Nerasfatu sat up from his position, the walls of his bridge bleeding, and a giant splinter of concrete jutting out from the front of the bridge. So close to death, yet so far. Ravager simply floated, the giant hiveship, atleast 5 times bigger than any other hiveship, was mortally wounded. It had lost too many fluids to gain any propulsion, and the front half of the ship was nothing but a gnarled mess, if not missing in most places.
I want heads, I want bodies, I want blood!
The ships roared into life, tentacles outreached for prey to grasp and crush. Weapons started to fire long before they got into range. There would be hell to pay, even if the crippled Ravager would not be inflicting the cost.
OOC: Now THAT was a cool freaking description. Big honking response as soon as I'm done with a couple questions for my Take-home exam...

Six more battleships went down under Abh’s fire before Juraian fleet completed its maneuver. Yet that was it: Juraian fleet was now fully split and the battleships continued rotation to face Abh Guardships, losing one of the previously damaged battleships before finished the rotation. But then, when they met Jurai Battleships face-to-face Abh captain realized that so far they’ve seen only one-third or one-fourth of Jurai Battleships’ firepower until now. More cannons appeared along the frontal part of Jurai Battleships’ hulls as they poured forth even more fire onto Abh Guardships. Even as they proceeded with their attack, Jurai Battleships begin to slowly float upward, apparently attempting to gain the advantage of a higher position over Abh fleet.

The concrete tube split in half but it was too close for the fleet to avoid damage. One half rolled off and buldozed through a group of Patrolships turning them into clouds of fire. The other half struck the side of the SSD and left three huge gashes. Crew members were thrown from their stations.
Lord Rahl lifted himself up on his elbows. "Damage report!"
"Lord Rahl. Shields are down 40% and there are pressure leaks on the left side of the ship. Measures are being taken to secure those sectors as we speak. We've also lost 5% of our battle capabilities."
Richard picked himself up and drew the Sword of Truth. "Focus all firepower on the Godular fleet. I want them dead! Do you hear me?! DEAD!"
The two wedges of Abh Guardships continued their manuever. Those that had been damaged were easily picked off since they had fallen behind. Shields were set to maximum to fend off fire from the Battleships. More were severly damaged and those that were unsalvageable were set on collision courses with enemy ships and then abandoned by the crew.
A score of Guardships fell to enemy fire but they stubbornly continued their course and returned their fire just intense.
With the Chaos sewn by the Heighliners just passed, the Kython fleet surrounding the Abh and Deatharon forces was quick to close the gap into Melee distances, activating their LightDiscs and charging in with well-coordinated abandon. Even with the recent Abh and Deatharon reinforcements, the Kython battleswarm still had numbers on them. And so it closed the distance, leveling massive volumes of fire on the enemy fleets and sewing strife and misery in their wake.
OOC: Gonna post the Red Rain strike again, with slightly revised targets. The first one wasn't responded to, so there shouldn't be any harm in it...
At the moment, any Tyranid hiveship that had not been laid low by the massive Heighliner strike was targeted by the great Ramming Wedges. The missiles spread out to strike other vessels from random directions. With the numbers of missiles launched, any vessel larger than a simple frigate would find itself the target of withering fusion missile fire. The largest hiveship, essentially drifting uselessly through the void, was left alone for now. Pointless to expend munitions on a vessel that was as of this moment a non-threat.
The Godulans, upon realizing that Abh fire was starting to fall upon their fleet, simply commenced another iteration, vanishing and rematerializing, this time on the other side of the Azaha fleet. The Abh vessels would have to shoot through the Tyranid vessels to get at the Godulans now.
As soon as they completed their Probability transit, they leveled long range weapons on the Tyranid vessels, Protium Arc Disintegrator blasts flowed like a screaming bluish white waterfall of death, with the accompaniment of the Godulan flux cannons and Phase torpedos.
The second Kython Battleswarm waited for the explosions to die down from the Red Rain bombardment, intending to check enemy damage before jumping into melee with their LightDiscs supercharged with energy funneled from the ion cannons. With such 'natural' fixtures on the tyranid vessels, ion cannons would be nigh useless here. Only the Kython melee weapons would work here...
And now, the two Remaining Godulan Heighliners finished their turns, one pointing directly at the Azaha fleet, and the other at the combined Abh and Deatharon fleets. Their shields still flickered and crackled with excess energy...

The Fleet Marshal's Sarin and Dylan decide to use there Psy Cannons yet again in a foward arc with support disterngrator fire. The hope was to cause surpise the Kython forces untill the missiles could start flying again.
Kraken sped towards the oncoming missiles. The fast escort-size ships directed themselves to the front of the big missiles, and started to spray gobs of acid, and slivers of spines at the missiles. The Slivers were meant to destroy any smaller missiles that hadn't come out yet, and the acid was shot at the engines of the missiles, trying to knock them out. If they engines were knocked out, then the Kraken would use their tentacles to grasp the missiles and bring them to a stop.
Incase this didn't work, the large hiveships and destroyers would deploy their own tentacles and swat any missile, large or small, maybe destroying the tentacle, and saving the ship, or missing a few missiles. Ofcourse the missles coming from the front wouldn't harm the heavily armored prows.
Immediatly, as the Godulan fleet appeared in a different locaiton though, the hive ships turned on their axis' and faced towards the fleet, exposing their front armor, again protecting them from any major harm unless a threat came from other sides.
Any melee ships would be met with melee of their own. Bone and chitin claws, both massive and small would lash out at any ships passing by. Tyranid ships were made for close-combat engagements, with many melee weapons of their own, and a few short-range projectile weapons.
Nerasfatu watched as fleets simply jumped from one place to another.
Tricky bastards.
He reached his mind into his crippled ship, and looked for a way to halt this ceaseless abuse of space and time. He found it. The front of the ship was mangled, and bodily fluids almost completely gone. But the rear of the ship was intact, and the organic drives used to enter warpspace used a different energy source, mainly pure psi energy.
He focussed his mind, trying to beckon the ship to respond. Slowly, the ship started to rip a hole to the warp off it's destroyed prow. Just as the ship was about to get sucked in, Nerasfatu halted the rip, and caused the hole to violently collapse back into itself. The resulting shockwave sent the massive hiveship tumbling slightly. But in turn, the massive energy that was just dispersed through the fabric between two dimensions would hopefully atleast make it very difficult for such quick transports to be done, or hopefully make it impossible
I'm a tricky bastard to...

OOC: You keep USING Them things! Azaha's got Psionics, so his guy should be noticing something here...
Amazingly, or not so amazingly after the two previous attempts essentially backfired, the Kythons proved their uncanny resistance to the Psi cannons once again, even going so far as to return fire of the exact same type right back at those vessels that were firing at them. Disintegrator fire struck the Slaughterking Shields, when they hit. The Kython vessels were simply moving too quickly to fall under any form of concentrated fire. Specifically, at this point, the Kythons had now closed the gap between their two sub swarms, and leveling Ion Cannon fire and Light-Disc slices upon their enemies with fury and enthusiasm.

"What?"
"The Azaha fleet did something sir. Now the computers are saying something about dimensional instability."

"Jam and confuse. They screw with us, we can screw with them right back. I'll check with the Kython Overmind to see if we can get an assist on that."
"Aye sir. Bringing Savants online."
Achaedus signaled another comms. "Status report on the Death Darts?"
"Prepped and ready sir," came the response.
"Fire. Full spread," Achaedus commanded, then reached into the holographic representation of the Godulan fleet in front of him. "Maneuver Gamma 3 Sigma, execute."
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
As strange psionic emanations began radiating from the Godulan and Kython fleets, working to subsume Tyranid communications with whispers of doom and despair, as well as locating and engaging in mind-duels with anything that attempted to establish a link between vessels, the Godulan fleet split in two, one side lifting upwards relative to the ecliptic, and the other dropping below. The Godulans intended to simply initiate a form of Door hinge flank maneuver where the Godulans would simply travel a hemisphere around the enemy fleet, forcing the aforementioned enemy fleet to have to divide its firepower between the two, while the Godulans could simply massacre those caught in between. Those bony prows of theirs were already being chipped and rent away by Flux Cannon shatterspacing... with this new 'Dimensional Instability', their firepower would only increase by an order of magnitude.
The Kythons of Battleswarm 2 lunged in with their Light-Discs supercharged. Clouds of Kython Slaymaster Fighters joined the fray as well, firing their kinetic lance cannons at anything that struck their fancy, and slicing away at anything that got too close.

The Godulans were in the process of their Hingeflank against the Azaha fleet, with Kython forces working to tear the Tyranids apart from within.

The Heighliners were now prepared to launch full complements of a massive swarm of Death Darts, which would force the enemy fleets to fight on their own vessels, in addition to facing the withering storm of Godulan/Kython firepower from outside.

The Kythons, already flying through the Deatharon fleet with impunity, were quick enough to simply begin a game of cat and mouse with the missiles. The Kythons were not stupid about seekers, they were fast and agile enough to 'fly' the missiles right back into the Deatharon vessels. Although some Kythons found themselves swarmed with missiles themselves, the Slaughterkings caught in this fashion ended their lives by ramming the nearest enemy vessel, often times aiming for the command decks.
The missile strike would hurt the Deatharon fleet even more than it hurt the Kythons...

Then, as the Deatharon forces finally commenced the retreat, the Kythons shifted their attention to the remaining Abh forces...

“They still press forward? Can’t they see that we have all the advantages we need now?” Rear Admiral Rastell almost couldn’t believe his luck, but it seemed that the stories about Abh’s fanatical, almost suicidal persistence were true.
“Sir, several critically damaged Abh ships are on collision course!” one of Rastell’s officers said.
“Nothing to worry about, just command to increase ascension speed; our ships may be stronger, but I don’t want to suffer casualties from ships who are as good as dead anyway.”
Jurai Battleships continued to climb higher, now effectively hanging over Abh Guardships and continuing to rain fire down upon them. The Abh Guardships that we previously set on collision course with Jurai Battleships would now pass harmless bellow them, if they won’t be shot down, just in case.
Still, even while Jurai fleet appeared to be gaining the upper hand, the battle wasn’t going without casualties for Juraians, and another four of their battleships went down. Many more were heavily damaged, but it appeared that Jurai Battleships had few vital parts in their front, as even ships that were losing parts of their hull continued to shot from their remaining cannons.
Meanwhile, Admiral Rastell sent a following message to Taledonian commander:
Juraian Forces are here on behalf of the Republic, and if the Republic will choose to surrender this system and withdraw their forces from here, we will do the same.
Peace? I almost die and they call peace? Damn humans.
His fleet as a whole was still largely intact, there were few mortally wounded ships. He asked himself, why bother?
Not going to waste my ships on a far lost cause.. not that it wasn't that way before... damn humans.
He reached out with his mind to his fleet. Immediatly he encountered disruptions, but that did not bother him.
Fools, you can't disrupt something that is a way of life...
He ordered his fleet to pull out. Slowly but surely his ships turned on their axis' once again, and headed away from the system, trying to get out of the spatial disruption he himself had caused. Eight hive ships rode along-side the massive Ravager, and lashed their tentacles onto the ship. Again, slowly the ships started to take off, carrying the dead ship with them.
Nerasfatu kicked the mechanicle radio in the corner of his dying bridge, which was now cold and lifeless. He tapped on the microphone and spoke with suspended anger, his words going out to all forces in the battle.
"Since there must be this... peace, I am pulling my hive fleet out. We would ask that we be let free, as we only came to help... ill-gotten allies. Let us go, or we will still defend ourselves. Even if this peace is a false, or does not last, I am pulling us from this campaign as a whole."

Excellent, a fine declaration. The Republic endures against all hope, but it does not. It splinters, it fragments. It festers and rots. We swarm over you like flies because we smell decay...The sweet decay of order into Chaos; surprise into confusion unto foolish death. You came very close
And then the ship was there; looming like a great tombstone from the void; flanked by 1000 Plague ships of varying classes; each seething with the pestilant energies of Nurgle; as the flagship slid forth; the great Death Ship of Lucian; the Pestilant Pleasure
Should the Republic choose to surrender this system; they would do well. Vrone had already capitulated, sworn itself to us as sacrifice; and now The great figure on the rusting rotting deck spun his great Scythe; the Manreaper; Blightcaller; a thousand eldritch runes besmirched its surface; a countless legacy of souls drawn into its blade; and countless tanted by its vile pustresence.
I come to enforce the will of my Divine Father; to bring about his glorious vision. I am his Left Hand; I am the instrument of his fury. I will not bring that wrath upon you, should you merely relent. Step down, step back. Our war is done; but Vrone is no longer a matter that concerns you.
The Kythons rocketed through the Tyranid fleet, slicing and dicing as was their wont. Then, as the Azaha prefect's voice came across comms declaring his wish to depart the system, they stopped cold, as did the Godulan weapons fire. The Kythons then surged away from the fleet. And rejoined the bulk of the Godulan fleet as it returned to its position between all comers and the planet entire.
We shall allow the fleet from Azaha to depart in peace.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
With the Azaha departure of the System, on top of the departure of the Deatharon forces and the impending removal of the Abh, the Godulans brought the Godulan Fleet and the second Kython Battleswarm about to intersperse it between Vrone and the advancing Chronosians.
Blah blah blah yakkity smakkity. You will hold your forces until the Vrone world decides whether or not to allow you to kill them all.
We have the feeling they will respectfully decline.

OOC: Jurai, you should have noticed my ships were ascending with you. Oh well I'll just roll with it.
Admiral Bebaus watched as the Jurai battleships rose above the Guardships. "Well this is interesting. Hmmmmm they apparently aren't aware of one little manuever that we are quite good at. All Guardships launch a vertical mine volley. Next manuever, spear thrust!"
The Guardships allowed the Jurai Battleships to drift up above them a little further and then the Abh completely stopped their advances. All vertical mine ports were opened and unleashed a barrage right into the belly of the divided Jurai forces. There supply was short but with less than 500 Guardships left, the volley still numbered in the thousands of mines.
Once the volley was let loose, all Guardships rotated to perpindicular of the Jurai battleships. A full anti-matter burst was let loose in their engines for added speed. The wedge tips would punch through their formation like a giant spear head. If there was a ship in the way...well they just hoped that they could evacuate most of the crew in time. Intense fire lead the way as they let loose everything they had on their vertical climb trying to make a hole.
A badly bruised and beaten fleet of Abh ships formed up to the left of the Chronosia fleet. A mere 200 Patrolships and a damaged SSD was all they had left fighting the Godular fleet. Lord Rahl looked over the mass that had arrived. "Better late then never."
He looked around at his crew. "Reroute all emergency power to weapons and shields. See if we can't get grid 3 back online and make repairs to ion weapons on the port side."
"My Lord! Grid 9 has been fully restored. It doesn't look pretty but it's back online."
"Excellent work. Ready your stations. Prepare for round 2."
The two Kython Battleswarms formed up beside the Godulan fleet, interspersing themselves between the Chronosian/Abh fleet and the planet below. The Two Battleswarms meshed with each other momentarily as they split the more wounded Slaughterkings amongst themselves, and strange apparatus appeared from the fresher Slaughterkings, repairing damage to their worn comrades before the very eyes of the enemy.
A strange cloud of spiderlike robots appeared in the site of the heaviest fighting, latching on to chunks of enemy and friendly debris and pulling it from the system for later appropriation.
Comms went to the Juraian Battlefleet to come to the Godulan fleet for spot repairs. The Support ring of the colossal Archonal Command Ship deployed fully, bringing forth a veritable shipyard of replication engines and other tools of construction.

OOC: Jurai, you should have noticed my ships were ascending with you. Oh well I'll just roll with it.
OOC: Sorry for missing this part. Oh well, let’s proceed…
IC:
“The mines!” one of Rastell’s officers shouted.
“Dammit! Commence defensive fire; switch most fire from enemy ships to mines! And while you’re at it, find a good use for those HPCs!”
Immediately, Jurai Battleships switched most fire from Abh Guardships to mines, and with number of cannons Jurai Battleships had, the majority of mines were shot down by their fires, and others were deflected by Jurai Battleships’ shields or didn’t penetrate their heavy armor. Still, another half-dozen of Jurai Battleships went down under the mine attack, though these were mostly the ships that were already damaged to some degree due to past attacks. But even though Juraians concentrated mostly on defense for the time being, some of their cannons continue to focus on Abh Guardships.
Meanwhile, Juraians’ other weapons came to life, and a volley of blue energy beams separated from Juraian fleet, striking at Abh Patrolships at the distance. (OOC: these are Heavy Proton Cannons, aka HPCs. There are only three of them for each Jurai Battleship, but they are far more powerful then our standard cannons, and capable of firing over very long distance. Unfortunately, they are also some of the few weapons in our disposal that can’t fire directly downwards, being positioned on the upper half of Jurai Battleships’ hulls.)
While the last of Abh missiles were still in process of being dealt with, Rear Admiral Rastell noticed the enemy’s unexpected maneuver.
“I can’t believe this! Those Abh must really hate living!” Rastell exclaimed. “Everyone, get out of these maniacs’ way! And those who aren’t in their way… Give ‘em hell!”
While majority of Jurai Battleships continued fire on Abh Guardships, those who were in front of their charge tried to get away. Many managed to do it, and a few others were shot down by Abh’s intensive fire. Still, four of Abh Guardships slammed into Jurai Battleships, in majority of cases causing both ships to explode; though one of Jurai Battleship managed to survive the impact, though not without severe damages. (OOC: I am basing this on the fact that my ships are bigger, and in general, very durable.)
Once Abh Guardships made their way through, Jurai Battleships began to slowly close their formation, though this wasn’t their first priority…
“How are HPCs?” Rear Admiral Rastell asked.
“Recharged sir! We are ready for another launch!” One of the lieutenants replied.
“Very well. Aim at those Guardships. Let’s show them that they jumped out of the frying pan into the fire!”
The next moment, Jurai Battleships released anther volley of blue energy beams from their upper cannons, this time aiming them at Abh Guardships.
While HPCs were being fired, a quick transmission was sent to Godular fleet:
Thanks for the offer, but we believe that our technologies are unlike everything you are used to repairing. Therefore, we’ll just have to manage the way we are.
Meanwhile...
A strange cloud of spiderlike robots appeared in the site of the heaviest fighting, latching on to chunks of enemy and friendly debris and pulling it from the system for later appropriation.
Those of them who were "exploring" Juraian debis found that Jurai Battleships appeared to be partially organic in construction, with many parts being made of some strange kind of wood, that appeared to be as tough as any metal (and tougher then the most).
OOC: By the way, Humankind Abh, it would be nice to hear about your losses. Your post above gave no information in that regard, though I expect that there WERE some losses as my fleet bombarded yours from above.
Thanks for the offer, but we believe that our technologies are unlike everything you are used to repairing. Therefore, we’ll just have to manage the way we are.
We seriously doubt that, as we are quite proficient with organic vessel structures as much as inorganic. However, we shall not force you.

The Kython Conspiders were momentarily intrigued by the strange wood, took compositional analyses, and went on with their work.

OOC: You must have missed that part of the post also. Oh and my ships are basically the same size as yours. My Patrolships are the smaller ones.
IC: Fifty Guardships had gone done with another ten damaged from the Jurai assaults. Now the advantage of height belonged to the Abh ships. Once they had leveled off, Guardships began flooding over the Jurai ships. They rained fire down from up above as they passed overhead. Once passed they came back around for more passes.
Admiral Bebaus watched as the Jurai battleships took pot shots at his ships. To Chronosia command: I am taking the remainder of this fleet to reinforce my Guardships deal with a fly that keeps biting my arse.
The 200 remaining Patrolship and the SSD moved to reinforce the Guardships against the Jurai battleships. All weapons were charged and ready to fire once they met with the Jurai vessels.

If you would take the time to review some of the transmissions that were sent during this little skirmish, you would see that the Vronians clearly stated to us that they were not infact surrendering, only asking what you would do in the event that they would surrender.
Abh, you are as ignorant as the Chronosians on this matter. The peace between the Republic and Chronosia was not because of Vrone, but because of a deal struck between Emperor Alexander Kellerman and Emperor Marcus de Draken.

"This is not going well." Rear Admiral Rastell muttered, as the battle raged on; they were taking their toll on enemy forces, but they were still outnumbered at least two to one, and now they've lost their tactical advantage as well.
Now, multiple side weapons also turned upwards to aid their firepower with that of HCPs, that kept releasing blast after blast, pushing Jurai Battleships' reactors to their maximum. And still, Juraian casualties were getting worse and worse, with many battleships being already damaged from the past attacks. In but a few passes, another dozen of Jurai Battleships went down, and more were taking damage.
It was then when Rear Admiral Rastell made a decision: better to admit that he was in need of help then to see his entire fleet go down because of his pride...
<Transmission to Godular fleet:>
This is Rear Admiral Rastell in command of 3rd Jurai Task Force.
We decided to accept your offer, many of our battleships are damaged and Abh forces only increase the pressure. We will try to join with your fleet immediately. If you can, please distract Abh forces or provide our fleet with cover, otherwise many of us won't make it.
"All ships, course on Godular fleet. Increase speed. And keep firing on those damned Abh; if they want a piece of us, they better be ready to pay the price!"
And Juraian fleet, already rejoined into one who began to make its way to Godular fleet, while continuing fire HPCs and multiple rear and side weapons at Abh Guardships…

Do not think yourself so wise as to call us ignorant, worm. Or you shall find us ripping up the scrap of paper and shoving it down your throat. We come here to enforce an end to this, pending a decision from Vrone. If you would take the time to review our statements, you would see that. Of course the Taledonians know everything; and while they hide like baseless cowards in their pocket dimension, they can randomly appear to sound snobby. Pathetic really; I thought you were better than the Kazec's. That died with the old Kellerman. The voice degenerated into daemonic laughter; flooding the channels.
Stand down from here, insect. Lest we tire of your proscribed peace. We have made no aggressive moves; we merely wait. I shall call off my dogs, once you call of yours; or there will be no peace...
We ain't leaving 'till we see your own ass-end poofing out of this system. Rest assured, we will make no move to attack you unless you try something first, but if you send even one fighter this way, rest assured, you're skidmarks.
And if Vrone says nope, you are GOING to leave.

The Jurai battleships would have to go through the arriving Patrolships and SSD to get to Godular first. Lord Rahl seeing that they needed to repair blocked their path. "Ready all foreward batteries. I want shields at maximum. I want all Patrolships ready to fire rifles." The Electromagnetic rifle was a unique weapon where the cartridges used the a gravity flux cause more damage on a ships hull. Each Patrolship had 8 of the rilfes, 4 on the bow and 4 on the stern side of the ship.
The remaining Guardships, now numbering at 440 maintained thier height advantage and strafed to the rear of the Jurai fleet. All ships held their postions.
You fight well. You can be proud of the effort you have put forth and have distracted the bulk of the fleet. As a human to human, we both can attest to the stubborness of the Abh. I am asking you to collect your men and to leave. You may take all the scrap from your destroyed ships and we can also help you with ships that are damaged and need help in being towed out. Or. We can continue this fight. The choice is yours.
"Sir, the Juraian fleet appears to be in greater distress than we thought."
"Think the Savants can get a hold of 'em?"
"It might take a few seconds sir, but they say they can manage it."
"Get it done, have them lock onto the Juraian ships and jump them close to our fleet."
"Yes sir. Relaying orders."
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
OOC: TPJ can RP the next part as rather miraculously teleporting right up close to the Godulan fleet, as the Godulans have just initiated a not very well known drive called the PsychoPortive Drive (Triad Research Thread). It can essentially be used as an FTL drive, but with the various psionic bonuses on each vessel, they can create a targeted effect that'll port friendly vessels a relatively short distance. The Psions have to be otherwise inactive at the time, and it takes a few seconds to get a proper lock on their respective ships.

Rear Admiral Rastell kept the transmission channel opened for a long moment, before he finally gave the only reply he could:
Negative. We are acting upon orders of Supreme Empress herself. Juraian forces will not leave this system until…
Suddenly, he transmission channel and all the sensors went wild…
“What the hell is going on?!” Rear Admiral Rastell shouted.
“Sir, apparently our fleet changed its position!” one of the officer replied. “We are now beside Godulan fleet, sir!”
Indeed, 209 remaining Jurai Battleships mysteriously disappeared only to reappear besides Godulan fleet. Many of remaining battleships are damaged to various degrees, a few to the point of having hulks of hull missing.
“But how could that be?” Rear Admiral Rastell wondered aloud. “Only Space Trees have… Those Godulans, they must posses as much power as Juraian lords do to accomplish such a feat. In either case, let’s take advantage of it. And if any Abh ships attempt to get closer, fire HPCs!”
<Transmission to Godulan fleet:>
This is Rear Admiral Rastell in command of 3rd Jurai Task Force.
Whatever you did, you have our thanks. If you can do anything about our damages, please, do it; we will try to keep Abh fleets at bay with long-ranged fire, but at the close range, I fear we can’t prevail against their numbers, especially with so many of our ships damaged.
OOC: By the way, Humankind Abh, what does this “SSD” looks like? I wanna know what I am going to shot down the next time it appears anywhere near my fleet! ^_^ (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v626/blackrobed_one/Ayeka10.jpg) (Just kidding, so hopefully, no offense is taken. OOC: Think star wars dude the one that Vadar was on in Return of the Jedi. Good luck.
IC: Richard sighed as the Jurai fleet disappeared. "Oh well. Form back up on the Chronosia fleet." With that, all ships streaked towards the fleet and formed back up on their left wing. The Fuhrer anchoring the rear position of the fleet. No movements were made further.
The colossal Archonal Command Ship Kingdom Come shifted position, coming to a stop such that its bulk took up the center of the Juraian fleet. The massive support ring around the base of the superdreadnought blossomed like a great matte-black flower, with four massive plates coming to a full stop and several strange welding arms stretched out almost the length and breadth of the Juraian fleet.
You may thank our Psions for your swift egress when they regain consciousness in a few minutes, there is no need to establish communications to do so as they will hear you anyway.
We hope you will forgive us that we can only repair hull and structural damage. Whatever computer systems you might have lost will have to be done through your own hands.
"Download external schematics and material compositions now. Initiate structural repair program."
The arms reached out. They settled over the most heavily damaged Juraian vessels, those venting atmosphere and the like, extending to match the full width of the vessel and actually create a ring fully encompassing the targeted vessel. Then, like a laser printer, a strange beam of energy began circling the ship, seemingly doing nothing until it came upon a pock mark or hull breach, whereupon the beam slowed down slightly and generated a brand new chunk of hull right where there originally had been some, leaving the area as pristine as if it had just come off the manufacturing line.
The Archonal Command's repair ability stemmed primarily from a bunch of very specialized replication machines. Upon detection of any incongruity with recognized ship structure, the machine automatically sealed the hole with artificially generated matter, crafted from pure energy, matching exactly with its surroundings.
The Balroggans had been surprised to learn that the Godulans did not have replication technology, and provided it almost out of pity. The Godulans were quick to make full use of this boon.
The process itself took only a matter of minutes for each Juraian vessel, with the ring completing its process, one could watch as the arm swiftly yet carefully maneuvered itself over another vessel and began the process anew.
OOC: Yes, a Super Star Destroyer is that big honking blue version of an Imperial Star Destroyer form the Star Wars movies.
Although many prefer to utilize Eclipse Class Super Star Destroyers (I have four on loan, glad I didn't bring 'em in? Thinking about repaying the loan in cash and keeping them around) the normal SSD is still a daunting target.
Though not to the Godulans...

Los Angeles-
The decision was made. It was time to put the Potemkin to good use. The Commissar for National Defense authorized its deployment into the area to "pacify the enemy and ensure victory for our forces."

Sitting at dock, the Battlestar Potemkin was awoken from its rest. It's crew was ordered to return, and all personnel aboard were ordered to get ready......
The ship was ordered to make a Bosun Jump to the battlefield.....the massive behemoth left port, and in a blinding flash, it dissapeared.....
...and reappeared near the Abh fleet.
The call from the Battlestar Potemkin was:
"All enemy forces. This is the NDS Battlestar Potemkin. Cease fire now and quit the field. Or we will attack with all we have."
The message from the Godulan fleet was:
That's funny, we stopped shooting about an hour ago. Giggle squeak dude ain't that a nice toy you brought in for no reason!

Lucian's grating voice echoed across the void as opened communications; a thousand ships of the line standing to face the Godulans and end this war. He spoke with an almost underplayed charisma; words wreathed in funereal dressings slipping forth from his lips. He was a dark and terrible figure; a cut of darkest cloth; a great shadow over all who stood before him; and heard his terrible voice.
Brothers; allies. We stand at the very gates of Hell. This war shall be made or broken in a moment. Behold the Godulan's; foul fiends of the Universe who see you as their competition. In a moment they would seek to destroy you; simply to better themselves in the future. For they FEAR YOU! They fear us! We are Lions amongst men! We are gods amongst the cattle! And whilst we have overcome them, they fear failure and defeat! In a single instant, we stand upon the knife-edge! Godulan arrogance will hold you back; they chastise you like children. They are fools and aloof cowards! I tell you this; every man who stands with me shall be my brother; all who fall at my side shall be my comrade!
We fight now; or we fall eternal! Who are they to deny us our victory! Who are they to deny us our prize! What is the blood of Swarm, Neo Zetan and Abh? What is the blood of Chronosia, and the foul ichor of the Union? What is our sacrifice if this day it is thwarted!
Communications with their allies closed; and a new set of communications opened to the Godulan fleet; words booming with solemn authority.
Step aside. By the authority of the Imperium and her allies; this world is forfeit. This race sought to stand against us, and surrendered. The coward Taledonian's shall not deny us our promised prize! This is not your battle; nor is it a matter for the Triad. Go back to babysitting what remains of the Coreworldians who still have faith in the Light. Step down, before I am forced to tear you down from your self made pedastal.
How about no. We will admit we are not of the clearest conscience, but we're also most definitely not genocidal maniacs such as yourselves.
We take some pride in that.
"Reinforcement call gone out?"

"Any idea what's coming?"

We will not fight you without due cause, but do not seek to tempt our wrath
One: you did. Not even a matter of minutes ago you uttered something about this world being a sacrifice. Knowing you and your chaos hound cronies, any interpretation other than the literal would be folly.

Tal:You think they would leave? Trust me, they know that I want peace, but that's not what they're after...I think. Anyways, me and Godular have found a solution. He'll explain soon enough. The only other way to solve this is to come to a truce, which I doubt will happen.
Amidst the various bickering and grandstanding, a single vessel materialized within the Godulan Fleet. At first, it appeared as though it was just another Godulan Heighliner, but the more alert eye would have noticed that it had substantially more 'bracing' and a much higher power signature, as well as a somewhat decreased overall size. Its orientated itself such that its 'front' end faced the enemy fleets, and its 'rear' end was directed towards the planet's surface.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Sir! Urgent comms! Its from... Baron Skye?"
"Patch it through..."
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
After a couple minutes, the two other simpler Heighliners unloaded their cargo. A few thousand Death Darts that had been waiting for the opportunity to enter into the general combat now issued forth at a meandering speed and headed towards the newcomer, which, amidst all the hubbub, had blossomed like a flower, with four sections of its lengthwise bulk separating and reorienting themselves such that they seemingly followed the curvature of the planet.
The Death Darts latched on to each of the four curved plates, and began to move them outward. It would soon become apparent that the four plates were actually eight, as when the Death Darts carried the Heighliner pieces to certain positions, the plates split in two with equal dimensions for each part. These pieces were then moved to THEIR pre-set positions.
The Death Darts, now having pulled their duty as tug-boats, now latched onto the sides of the plates that were oriented away from the planet, and began to crackle with energy, funneling it into the Heighliner shards. The Kython Slaughterkings even moved to assist on the power funneling, moving in close to provide their own excess power, while others began to cluster around the plates, providing protection should anybody get the idea to actually attack during the process.
After this progressed for but a few seconds, great beams of light spawned between each 'corner' and its closest adjacent neighbors, forming a great cube around the planet.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
"What did Baron Skye say?"
"Just watch."
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Then, just like that, with a brilliant flash, the world vanished, as well as everything arrayed around it that had 'attached' itself to the Heighliner shards. All that remained before the enemy fleets was the Godulan fleet, along with a malicious snicker on all comms.
OOC: For the record, I had a top-secret project spending a good deal of time within my Second Research Thread. This is that project, along with all the normal Heighliners I suddenly started sporting, and also the first time I have used it on a non-Godulan target.

The great Godulans, tainted by Taledonian cowardice. Unable to stand and watch a world fall to us; it hides it away like a child. You are no better than the whelps we have so recently punished. Nor are you worth our time. We shall return when the Godulan's are an honorable race; not a squabbling mocking band of children and fools, who seek to defy the Gods. All Godulan's are declared hereby hereticus diablous; all Godulan territory declared Purgata. We shall not trouble you; weakling tricksters; you are beneath our ambitions
With that, the Chronosian fleet tore into the warp; space rending about their mighty vessels, as they retreated back to Chronosia. It mattered not though; the war had went well, despite Godulan interference. Many had been sacrificed; much had been gained and lost by Chronosian machinations.
Laughter echoed in the void; as the Pestilant Pleasure finally vanished from the field; denied its prize, it would still reap the great harvest that was to come...Something brewed homeward; a great undertaking drew near...
So it is that while we may not have stopped them from taking all, we did prevent this little massacre.
The Kythons continued to stream back into the universe, and the Godulan fleet began to move on an exit vector. The Kythons though, did not move.
The Godulan fleet, its work done, sent a single comms message to the Juraian fleet.
Our work is finished. The Vrone world is safe, and you have a war to fight on your own steps. Your people are dying. Take these Kythons. Drive the enemy back. You will find them... most useful.
And with that, the Godulan fleet exited the system.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Meanwhilst, in a system far removed from the galaxy entire, a lonely system but one with plenty of resources and secondary worlds, the Vrone world materialized.
As soon as it came into existence in a proper orbit, the Kython Slaughterkings departed, and the Death Darts began to reassemble the Heighliner.
A comms message went to the Vrone Leadership:
Lie low for a while, build up your defenses, build up your fleets. You can do so in peace here. If additional resources are necessary, go only to your closest allies.
Be ready, for if there is a next time, you must be capable of shattering them like we once did.

As the Potemkin noticed the Godulans leaving, they began to prepare for the worst. They ordered existing ND forces in the area to consolidate around the Potemkin and prepare for attack at any time by the Juriaians, who were still there.
When High Command asked why they had not returned, the replied, "We are loyal to our comrades-in-arms. We wish to make the capitalist pay for not recognizing our strength. His machines scare us not. We intend to fight for the People." There was some resentment amongst the men; they wanted the government to make up their mind and commit them to action.
Ultimately, negotiations went on....

Admiral Bebaus soon took his remaining ships and headed back for the capital for some rest but Lord Rahl's SSD remained behind along with his personal contigent of Patrolships. Two messages were sent out.
Comrades from New Dornalia. You have fought well and we greatly appreciate your help. You have our highest gratitude but it is time to go home. Let us return to our families and enjoy peace. There is no shame in what we have done this day. Be proud and go home in peace
Men of Jurai. Go home and tend to the war that has come to your doorstep. I strongly urge you in the future to consider those whom you serve.

(Taledonia, watch yourself. No one here is a N00b; save you for suggesting they are)
(OOC: :( I can't remember calling anyone a n00b.)
Chronosia

(OOC: Mind enlightening us on what that thing is Godular or Vrone? And Vrone, if you choose not to surrender, you wouldn't be blown up. Chronosia would leave, and all the other enemies of the Republic would be forced to also according to the truce, but if they stayed we could defend you, and Godular seems to be having a field day pawning these n00bs!)
OOC: oh really?

The Potemkin, embarassed, and the others opted to return home. By now, High Command was interested in knowing why one of its coolest ships had gone to near mutiny.....

OOC: oh really?
(OOC: Oh, that, heh, I wasn't actually calling you guys n00bs, as I know you aren't. I was just using it as a term, to say we are gonna win. You know, "I'm gonna pawn all you n00bs!")

IC:
Transmission to Godulan fleet:
Understood. And thank you for everything. May Tsunami’s Light be with you.
Transmission to Abh fleet:
This is Rear Admiral Rastell in command of 3rd Jurai Task Force.
Our duty here is done, and now we will withdraw in peace. But while your fighting prowess earned our respect, your remark about our Empress is not welcome; we will fight, and if necessary, we will die for her.
OOC:
Godular, if I understood it right, you left some Kythons in our disposal, is that so? And if yes, could you tell me more about them.
Oh, and I will turn my attention to “You Win or Pay” thread soon; it has been a busy week… *sigh*

Uh Jurai. There was no comment about your Empress. That was about your allies if you didn't get it.

I suspected that OOC. However, your choice of words was…
I strongly urge you in the future to consider those whom you serve.
…And the thought that Abh suggests/believes that Jurai Empire serves the Republic never entered Rear Admiral Rastell’s mind. :p
