Several months has passed since the Galactic Empire became a Republic. The people of the large Galactic nation celebrated, some like the Omega Minor System thinking they would finally recieve there independence. A Diplomat from the Solar System, formally known as the Dominion of the Omega Minor Solar System, arrives at the Capital city of New Union. He begs infront of the Senate for his people's freedom, asking that his Solar System be rightfully granted its independence as a nation. But the Senate denied such an independence, a decision that is seeming to be a verry bad one with every passing day.
It has been a week since the Omega Minor System was denied there independance. This has shook the people's morale, causing hatred twards the new Republican Senate. Now, President Drakomis N. Reign of the Galactic Republic him self has arrived on the Omega Minor Solar System home planet of Terra Ferma in hopes to settle something with the Council of Representatives. At this same time a massive Protest is forming outside the Council Building, whatever decision made here will decide the fate dramatically for the future of the Republic.

It had been many days since the decision at the Senate took place, but Drakomis Reign knew his duties. He had come to Terra Ferma in hopes of coming to a peaceful resolution to what had occured. He knew the people were not happy with the Senate's Decision, and he wanted to correct this immedietly. It was forseen by many that this could easily lead to a Civil War, and through-out the history of Anagonia, there had been not one instance of Civil Disruptance in any Province or State, even in the early days when they were only on the Homeland.
Drakomis sighed within his dark helment as he walked in the chamber in his Dark Uniform, his entire suit black. A dark cape going from his shoulders down, the only thing that hinted to life inside this "suit" was a red orb that looked onward from the helment, commonly believed to be where the persons eyes were looking inside the helment. This orb gazed at the table in which the represenitives sat. It was here the final decision would be made.
He had the power to easily end this dispute, and Drakomis intended to end it peacfully. If they wanted Independence, he would give it. For some reason the Senate forgot the Golden rule of Anagonia: "The People shall decide their Fate". If the people wanted to start a new life with a new nation, it should be allowed. However, it should also be noted that at any time this happened in Anagonia's History, the New Nations voted to return.
Except for one.....but that was another story.
Drakomis sat in a chair provided, his red "eye" gazing at the represenitives. "Gentlement," came a modified, deep voice from the helment, giving a nod to each represenitive, "I believe we have a situation within the Galactic Republic. I am here to help resolve this in any possible." He gazed at each one before continuing. "Now, do we have any questions or comments before we begin?"

The Reprasentitives were a bit nervous. They wern't expecting the President of the Galactic Republic to arrive. Sirius Z. Mayern, Reprasentitive of Vode, spoke up to fill in the small pause of silence.
" No President Reign. No questions yet, please continue on. "
The truth was, they did have questions. They had several, and they knew the President was expecting these questions. But they thought it wiser to let him show them his side of the debate.

Drakomis nodded to the Represenitive from Vode. "Good, now," he would start with his point of view on the situation, "From my perspective, Your System is a respected and vital part of the Republic, as with all systems within it. Yes, I understand we perhaps don't have much to offer, but we nonetheless enjoy your presence here." He continued, "We have benefited much from our mutual relationship with your system. We have traded Ships, goods, and the like. We have done much."
Drakomies Leaned forward, he gazed at the represenitives, "However, it was to my understanding that you were an independent province, even as you were in our influence of control. Tell me, please, why I cannot understand, nor comprehend this situation in the way [i]you[i] see it."
He waited for their answers.

The Reprasentitive of Loma began to speak up, with Vode filling in afterwards.
" For too long we have had to hoist your Flag, pay respects to your military when we have our own stabilized guard, and sing your national anthems and have no time for ours. Basically we don't have time for our customs because you have stated laws that enforce these practices and customs to take place in all the holdings of the Republic. "
The Reprasentitive of Vode sighed. His colleague was not choosing the correct words. So he began to fill in.
" Drakomis, to you it may seem like we are independant in several ways but in reality we are not. We do not see what is wrong with our breaking away and forming our own constitution, our own law, and having our own leader. You do NOT see it the way we do, which is obvious to both you and me and my colleagues. We truthfully are not independant. While the Republic was still an Empire we were abused and so were many other small solar systems. Our people were forced to work in factories with little to no pay compared to what the Empire provided for there home system. We still havn't gotten repirations for the past either. All we ask is to be given our right of Freedom, we may still trade and being seperate nations would even better both economies. You must consider this. How great was it for you to finally achieve independance for your own nation?"
Sirius looked at the President sternly. He did not like him at all, he posed to be a freedom loving leader yet dressed as if it were there Imperial days and spoke in a dark tone. He just did not like the man.
In the meen time, the Protest outside sempt to be getting worse by the minute. The guard detachment that had come along with Drakomis was far too small for the overwhelming crowd. They were out numbered 20 - 1.

Yes, of course, that kind of diplomacy wasn't going to work. Drakomis sighed, the red orb dissappearing signifying his eyes closed, then reappeared as his eyes opened. He thought for a moment, thought back to when a long-past Empire reigned over his people. He looked up and sat back in the chair again. How could he have known such oppression was going on? Was he truly that uninformed about this Republic? Or was it.......
"Three Hundred Years....," a now-lighter toned voice spoke, "In that time I remember back when. I know how your people feel."
Somehow, as his head bent down for a second, he knew they were looking at his suit. No, he didn't wear it because of an Imperial Dream. He wore it for another reason. A reason kept secret from these people. Few knew exactly why most Generals and Soldiers, even Senators, wore them. It looked stylish in the Empire's days, yes, but they wore it long before then. But, he left that thought for another time, the red "eye" looking to the Represenitive of Vode.
"How can I amend for the years of pain? What can I do?" Drakomis leaned forward, just a little ways this time. "What do you want me to do."

Sirius felt a slight blow. He didn't know much about Drakomis or his history..his past..his present. But it didn't matter now, that was not the issue they were discussing. Sirius began to speak again.
" I, we, wish that you were to pull out all of your Military detachments and Fleets from the Omega Minor System. We also wish that you grant us the Independance that we seek. We also wish to keep our trade, and we wish for some way to repirate those who were affected dearly by the past Empire. Or well, help to repirate. "
He looked at Drakomis, who seemed to not like the whole idea of repirations. As far as the Independance, it sempt a little on the good side.

He nodded at the Sirius. "Alright, I believe we can do that. Whatever you need, whatever we can do to repair what has been done." He sighed, "Its not much, but I apologize on Behalf of the Galactic Republic for our cruelty to you and your people." He gave an approving nod. "You deserve to be free."
He clapped his hands, his voice more cheerful. "There, now, I shall sign whatever you need me to, and we'll start the recovery, the repremandums, and so on."

Sirius felt a good reliefe blow over him. Things were going much smoother here then it did when they sent a delegate to the Senate.
" So then, let us sign it. Drakomis, will you do the honors? "
He handed the pen to Drakomis, who took it and held it for some time.

Drakomis happily thought for a moment, the he got a pad, information writing itself on there seemingly. He started to sign it...
-----------------------------------------------------
The Republic Senate had an emergency session that started two hours ago. They had just gotten word of Drakomis's arrival on Terra Ferma, and all but some were shocked at what appeared on a huge view-screen on the Senate Floor.
"What is this outragous writing?" Cried one senator.
"Its proposterous!" Cried another.
Soon almost all of the Senator's were in a roar, finally settling down when one person raised his hand. It took a bit to quiet down, but it did. Head of the Senate Tomas Ruth spoke.
"Fellow Senators, fear not! Be not in an outrage! I shall take care of this atrocity that is occuring within our beloved Republic!"
"What will you do?" Spoke one Senator.
"Yes, tell us!" Said another.
"I will," he grinned quickly, "I will kill Drakomis!"
The Senate went up in a roar of cheer's. The few that didn't quickly walked out. But the majority praised this statement. Yes, Tomas had planned this for a long time, and now was the perfect time. He would lead this Galactic Republic, and no one would stop him. Because, with Drakomis out of the way...in a.....he thougt for a moment.
"A tragic Riot accident," he said softly to himself.
Tomas quickly raised a thin pad, and started to press it for a few moments. Soon, he thought, the petty Leader would be out of the way. And with him out of the way, with their favorite canidate in all the past elections, he would rule!
----------------------------------------------
Drakomis was about to sign it when he heard gunfire and screams of pain. He gazed back and looked towards the Represenitives.
"I said you would be free, what is this?!"

Suddenly, as Drakomis was starting to sign the paper, a gunshot rang out.
Perhaps Drakomis did not notice, but one of the gunshots were directed at Sirius. As everyone entered a commotion, the crowd outside tried to escape. But there was no escape. Republican troops stormed the entire block, shooting at the protestors. So..they had no choice. Sit still and be slaughtered, or fight back and have a chance to survive? The one with 'survive' sempt to be the best. Soon the Protestors turned to "Rioters" later in the news reels but were truely freedom fighters who would not get there recognition untill after the Civil War. It took everyone inside the meeting to realize what was really going on outside as Sirius fell back against his chair, pressing his hands right under his rib cage. And only then did everyone realize what happened to Sirius. The Loman Reprasentitive, Karen L. Rosh'ja, raced over to Sirius and began to speak to him seeing if he was alright. At this same instance the other reprasentitives began yelling at Drakomis, saying " NO! THIS IS YOUR BIDDING! YOU TRICKED US! ".
-------
" CODE RED, THIS IS A CODE RED! THIS IS NOT A DRILL! ALL COALITION GUARDSMEN PREPARE FOR BATTLE! "
Alarms were blazing at all the Coalition Guards bases. Men and women alike were scrambling around, getting into uniform and getting there weapons ready. The "Riot" was on all channels, and the sight of it was just gruesome. But the Guardsmen had there orders, aid in the quelling of the Riot. Something that several would later regret.
-------
Dropships were arriving from all directions with dozens and dozens of Guardsmen pouring out. In a matter of seconds the crowd died out, the Guardsmen stopped firing but the Republican Troops continued. The Guardsmen were practically yelling for the Republican Troops to stop but they didn't. Suddenly there was a gunshot out of a rifle in the hands of a Guardsmen, a Republican Trooper fell....and the battle waged on.

He gazed at them dumbfounded, of course no one could see his expression underneath the helment, but nonetheless he did. He looked at Sirius, then at the Loman Represenitive. Suddenly, it became all too clear, Drakomis had been set up. The red orb flashed brightly on his helment as he looked behind him. His troops were no longer loyal to him, he realized. Someone, with much respect, had somehow gained the trust of the Military. Hopfully, just some of it.
He looked back towards the represenitives, and stood. "We must get out of here!" His tone, the tone, was a worrying one, one of shock...of betrayal. "Now! We must go!"
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Republican Troops gazed at their fallen Comrade, and all looked back shocked at the Guardsmen, with a hint of anger. They raised their weapons, and readied to fire on their brethren.
"Good," said the Detachment Leader, "This should fuel the fire." He quickly pressed something on his wrist, and soon the Republican Troops were falling back, or so it seemed. Then, with another press going on a a wrist-pad of some sort, the Republican troops opened fire. "Loyal to the end, unlike that filthy bastard they call our Leader," angerly said the Detatchment Leader, and he raised his weapon, and fired along with his Comrades.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Five Senator's from the Reublic Senate had met in a secret location minutes before the skirmish started. They were discusted with the fanatasism of the Senate, and they were about to do something No Senator had done before: Betray his Brethren.

As the little battle waged on between the Guardsmen and the Republican Troops, another battle was being waged in the ocean of blood below. Civilians who had survived this massacre fought with there own mentality to keep from going crazy as they stumbled through the streets filled with bodies, some barely alive. This truely was a living hell.
----------------
Two of the Representatives ( there found out how to spell it I think ) helped lift up the Vode Representative and they all led Drakomis to a secret passage, which would lead all the way to a Guardsmen military base located near the coast where none of the Republican Troops should be located. There they would take there small break and recouperate from what had just happened.

Drakomis looked at the remaining represenitives, then looked behind him. A sigh came from his helment, and he gazed upwards, his red "eye" going out for a moment, only to return moments later.
"I don't know whats going on, but it's not good." He looked to the represeneitives again, then eyes the Loman reprasentitive. "Is he alright?"
Of course he was asking about the Vode rep. He wanted to make sure all these people got out, alive. It was his Military instinct, his compassionate side. It was probably why he was re-elected for so long. Sure, he took breaks, and other people led. But, it always turned out for the best. However, he left this thought for another time. They looked like they could take care of themselves, but he wanted to make sure they were ready for whatever was to come.

Sirius was passed out by now, and it was uncertain if he was to live or not.
Rep of Loma - " I don't know. But we must hurry to the base, this way. "
They spent the next long while rushing through the long winding tunnel when atlast the smell was different, that of a more sea like area.
Rep of Terra Ferma - " Were close. Atleast we are far away from the battle, but who knows...maybe the Republican Troops won..maybe there searching for us now. "
The other end of the hall was a small, well 10 man, detachment. After seeing who the people were, they quickly helped rush Sirius to the base with the others in follow.
It was quite the dark day for the entire Republic and the OMSS.
----------------
The battle was indeed ugly. The fighting was still going on, and it seemed to be in the Guards' favor...but the end results would still be devastating.

In the planetary space above Terra Firma, a fleet of Heavy Cruisers and Battlecruisers, about 50 in all, had Sub-spaced in. They were out of range of the Planet, but they began to move slowly towards their target. Inch by painful inch, they moved through the darkness of space. Within them lied many troops, fighters, tanks, weapons, supplies, and a load of Nuclear Torpedoes. The Rebellious Senate, and the Head of the Republic Senate, wanted this planet back...at all costs.
Star Fighters launched from the Battlecruisers as squadrons formed around the Fleet Mass. It wouldn't be long, the bloodiest time in Anagonia, its very first Civil War, was truly about to start.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Drakomis Followed the gang, his red "eye" gazing left and right. He didn't remember any of this, then again, he never really went into planetary construction that much. He sighed, he would need to concentrate more on the Republic....if there still would be one after this was all over.
------------------------------------------------------------------
The Republic Troops remained firing on the Guardsmen, their weapons blazing as blood was spilt. It was as if a sea of red streamed past their feets...and it was by no means over yet.
