The Imperium has no shortage of Psykers, and covets the power that the Psychic brings from the warp. But of late, the Imperium has began experimentation with the very fundamentals of the human psyche, and the source of Psychic Power. Two notable prototype devices, and designs, have been born from this pursuit; two devices which could very well change the face of the Imperium.

The Psychic Amplifier: A device that enhances the natural psychic abilities, enhancing the mind to a level where it can control and manipulate the power of the Warp. However, certain experiments in using this device en-mass; results in countless observations of Daemon possession, psychic insanity and Alpha Class Psyker production. This final part is of great interest, and has been explored more fully in the terms of psychicly enhancing a world; simultaneously. Practical tests are scheduled.

The Psychic Inhibitor: A device which inhibits and dampens the natural abilities of Psykers. While a singular device, placed upon the subjects head; with probes inserted into the brain; would inhibit entirely psychic activity, by way of electical and warp control of certain regions of the brain; a more broad system for psychic nulling is required, to inhibit psychic activity over large areas; thus placing the enemy at a disadvantage, should they choose to use Psykers.

Untouchables: The Pariah gene is a powerful weapon against enemy psykers, whether partially or fully exspressed; those afflicted with it possess no psychic ability; no presence in the warp; merely a cold and soulless void. When this power is tapped, as in the Culexus assassins; it is often a powerful weapon against Psykers. Our researches into this area are guided by the Emperor's divine hand, and the instigations of the Magos Genos.

OOC: Chaos. My nation runs on the theme of a Corrupt Imperium (Imperial Survivor, founded new Imperium; got entirely corrupted). Imagine Horus won the Heresy; so I have legions, Imperial Tech, Chaos tech and Guardsmen :D

Great game, 40K. However,, my Eldar-based empire has no need for Psychic Thingys.

OOC: Nor do we, to be fair. But enhancing my current psykers/sorcerors, inhibiting the opposition, by any means; both become key goals ;)
