Learn about Tannenmille [Bandwagon OOC Question thread]

Tannenmille

I'm going to jump on the bandwagon before three more nations decide to make similar threads. Ask OOC or IC questions about the workings of Tannenmille and I'll answer them as best I can. You can ask about the past Reichsführung, current Reichsführung, the future plans that I have for the Reichsführung, the Reichstag or other political bodies, civil liberties, or anything you can think of.

OOC: So you are a nazi-like state?
Tannenmille
19-09-2005, 22:09
I thought someone would ask that. The answer is No.

I use Reichsführer, Reichsführung, and any other terms that might be associated with the Third Reich as their literal translations of Empire Leader, Empire Leadership, etc. I am not a National Socialist, and neither will be or has been or is my nation. In actuality, Tannenmille's political system is rather democratic and resembles in some respects a fiefdom. The Reichsführer, although he can personally vote on decisions, usually leaves issues to the Reichstag unless the Reichstag asks him for his opinion, which is rare. Under the Reichsrat and Reichstag are other Provincial and local governments that control more directly areas of their jurisdiction. None of Tannenmille's rulers have ever been Nazi, and the only similar thread between Naziism and Tannenmille is that they both have the rank of Reichsführer, although in Naziism it was actually Reichsführer-SS. The position of Reichsführer is hereditary, but the Reichsrat can remove a Reichsführer from office if they decide to unanimously.

Kind of a stupid question: Is anime banned in Tannenmille?
Tannenmille
19-09-2005, 22:18
No, but lolicon is because it's regarded as child pornography, only animated, and Sailor fuku stuff is regarded generally with disdain. Trade regarding sailor fuku is still free, you just need to know the right stores to find it (not like the XXX bookstore type thing, just it's not as mainstream as most animation). For general anime, you can find it in most video stores in the animation sections.

Tannenmille tries to stay as far out of the bedroom as it can, but "toy" sales are regulated such that you can't find them right next to the, say, Barbie aisle in a store. You'll have to look a bit harder for toys or anything like that, but if you don't use them then you won't have any troubles.

I'm FT, but sometimes I'll get into MT roleplays where I scale back all my tech to the MT equivalents so people don't complain (understandably) about me using E11 carbines and what-have-you. And since you were in the Galactic Empire, the Governance sees you as a neutral-friendly nation, but other than that we haven't had enough relations to really determine a stance on you.

Hell, I just use the stuff. I don't know, ask the people that freezeframed through the chase scene on "Empire Strikes Back" and determined the approximate power of a Star Destroyer's lasers. :p

I do not think you have answered the question, merely trying to mask the lack of the answer with another answer. We asked what your opinion on lesbians, were.

If you mean my OOC position as a person, then telegram me. If you mean my nation's position, then I thought "Tannenmille tries to stay as far out of the bedroom as it can" summed it up rather well - we don't care.

Questions....

1) How many planets do you control?

2) What do you think of hte SWC and our actions, especially McKagan and Leafanistan's "Imperialist" actions.

Another question about your nation...

1) How creative is your military?

1) For the record, "75", of which 28 are populated. I plan on halving the number, though.

2) The SWC is Tannenmille's most favourite allegiance, and although occasionally members of the Reichsrat move to remove Tannenmille from the Coalition, it is always shot down overwhelmingly by the Reichstag and Reichsführer.

Well, during a naval offensive I rained a Tungsten Needle down, and that devastated the enemy fleet. I use Bioagents to destroy the enemies food supply, I tell people to move to certain areas to feed them and distribute propaganda and psychoactive drugs. And then tehre was that infamous Sex Bomb incidents. And I hate when people call it a Virus, viruses take time, days, weeks to incubate, and viruses can't create that sort of massive sexual response withotu creating brain damage, or some sort of gene modding with viruses. Overall a bad idea. Do you do things like that, rods from God, during a naval offesnive? Destroy the enemy's food supply, drug them?

Well, during the Dan-Tannenmille War, while Dan the Merciless was attacking into the Alps and the Czech Republic, I sent a huge army to Finland and invaded unilaterally. Also, I've been wanting to use Agent Riven (Neurotoxin U-057) in a war, but haven't had the opportunity yet. Riven is a hellish chemical weapon, but other than those two things I haven't really done that sort of things very much.

How would you feel about me assuming executive powers in the SWC, as its founder? Executive powers would entail making the final decision on accepting new members, establishing relations with "questionable" nations (you know who I'm referring to), etc., etc.

ICly, Tannenmille views Halberdgardia as its most esteemed ally, if only because I think I've had more IC contact with you than with any of the other nations. You guys don't know it yet, but soon I'm going to throw everything way off-kilter; it's going to be an interesting period.

Regarding executive powers, I would view that as kind of odd, since it's been a primarily democratic alliance since its inception. However, I wouldn't leave the SWC unless you started making dumb decisions as founder, which I'm sure you wouldn't.

I suppose I should have been more clear. If I assumed executive powers, we would still retain the democratic elements already in place; things would then be more like the U.S. government. The members would act as a simplified version of the U.S. Congress, and I would act as a sort of President, so to speak. If I did assume executive powers, odds are I'd go along with whatever you guys thought. But if for some reason you all wanted to do something that I felt was out of line with the character of the SWC (which I don't expect to happen, but after the whole Arabanistan/Willink war I'm not taking any chances...), then I'd like to be able to have some sort of input on whether or not you guys went ahead with it. If I came to wielding an actual veto, we'd build in a 2/3rds majority override or something similar. Regardless, this is all hypothetical, and I'll let you all know if it becomes something besides hypothetical.

My way to deal with any possible problems:

Not push for anything to happen with the SWC. Just like I recently did with Willink, i'd sign a non-SWC treaty.

(BTW, it was only a one operation mutual aid/defense thing with the promise of a more designed treaty later)
