I don't know if this the right forum, but I have a question about my military budget and it's RP implication.

My nation is thought to be some kind of syndicalistic anarchy. Therefore my nation possesses no organised military. I made my decisions regarding this and ended with a defence budget of 0 %, which is consistant with my concept of my nation.

However the different syndicates controlling my nation are allowed to posses defense forces and my citizens are allowed to carry weapons. I answered my issues with this in mind.

I know that this wouldn't provide my with the means to wage wars, but I think that would give my some kind of defence, which is of course weaker than what I would have with an organised military.

My question is: Would that be consistent with my 0 % defense budget?

Simply ignore it. I never pay attention to my defense budget.

yes the defense budget would still be considerd 0% because the government is not funding any military. This does not mean however the private institutions and citizens could not create their own militias or rag tag armies...

i personally have a small malitia of 1,000 men owned by a Company, so i don't think that your case should be a problem

I guess it wouldn't make a difference if it was funded by private citizens. Your citizens would just be a bit less wealthy, that's all, because some of their money would go into the military. Go ahead and give yourself a 0% defence budget, but don't make a crazy huge army.

By the way, shouldn't you start your own private army? If you don't have any firepower, one of the syndicates is just going to take over the country from you.

I thought my citizens to be heavily armed. With the syndicates, it depends on the syndicates.

In theory I don't rule the country. The syndicates are thought to be selfgoverning entities. The only nationwide political institution is the "grand council" which consits of delegates from the different syndicates and of which the speaker (me) is the head. The sole function of the grand council is to serve as a forum for the syndicates to coordinate activities and settle conflicts. The political stability of the nation is achieved by a balance of power between the syndicates.
