"Never look back." - Royal Incorporated Army motto
Introduction:
In this world of warring nations, and even worlds, a good army can be essential for the survival of a country. In a world where young nations are prayed upon, alliances are made and broken. One war, two nations are allied, working together to create an almost unbeatable union of nations. A war later, they are enemies, leaving a wave of destruction wherever they go. An army is something essential to the defence of one's homeland, and is essential in offensive moves. Now, today, the Incorporated States of SkyCapt unveil the Royal Incorporated Army, trained to perfection, and equipped with near-perfect weapons. Having proven themselves in the recent invasion of the homeland by Kryos, the RIA performs parallel to the famed clone armies of space age nations and worlds, and the standard Incorporated Trooper is very much like the average Clone Trooper; but is different in that he is not a 'slave', as some consider clones that made for war. He is instead an average person on the streets. But when the helmet is put on, he becomes an elite soldier - ruthless, efficient, and deadly. Getting rid of 'squadron classes', every soldier is given elite training, making for a formidable army indeed.
Training:
Training for the Royal Incorporated Army is a grueling 2 year period, divided up into 4 six month parts:
1st Period - Unit Familiarisation
2nd Period - Unit excercises/training
3rd Period - Joint Unit Training
4th Period - Training review
1st Period:
During the first 2 months of the 1st Period, men are placed together and form companies, and get to know their company. During the next 4 months, they are taught how to use their equipment, weapons and gear.
2nd Period:
During the 2nd Period, men from different companies are switched up, and learn how to adapt to different companies, getting familiar with each one before being placed back in their respective companies.
3rd Period:
In the 3rd Period, joint unit training takes place. Companies are paired up, making sister companies, and the men and women of each company train together, run together, and eat together. As the troopers are expected to be adaptable, they are trained to be able to switch companies with ease, in case of separation in a war zone.
4th Period:
During the final period of training, the troops of each company review their training, and go through different areas of the training. They then are moved into the ranks of the Royal Incorporated Army, where their company (and sister company) are assigned to a corps.
Unit Layout:
The RIA has adopted smaller unit sizes, for easier troop movement and better adaptability.
Corps: 8,000 Troopers
Instead of the older 12,000 men per corps, the size has been cut down by 4,000 troops, which makes movement from point to point easier for commanders and soldiers to plan out and execute. It also, however, means a corps stuck against an army of standard size will have slimmer chances of winning. Corps are made up of 5 Divisions.
Division: 1,600 Troopers
Unlike normal division sizes, the size has been raised high up, and each division is made up of 8 Companies.
Company: 400 Troopers
Companies in the old army were made up of 400 soldiers, and this is the only unit size (aside from squadrons) in the army that hasn't been changed. Companies are made up of 20 Squadrons.
Squadrons: 20 Troopers
Squadrons are the standard unit size that troops are moved about in. Half the size of a platoon, squadrons are made up of four 5 man squads.
Squads: 5 Troopers
Here we come to the smallest unit size in the Royal Incorporated Army. Squads are usually seen working apart from each other, where each squad is assigned to a different task. The squad layouts are as follows:
Standard Squad
1x Squad Leader
2x Rifleman
1x Support Gunner
1x Demo Expert
F.A.R. Team
1x Squad Leader
1x Riflemen
1x Support Gunner
1x Demo Expert
1x Anti-tank Trooper

Gear, Armor, and Weapons:
The standard infantryman in the Royal Incorporated Army is armed with either the standard issue AR-75 Assault Rifle, the PX-3 Sniper, or an XSW-3 Squad Automatic (While the TX-1 Gauss Rifle has seen action, it has been taken out of service for further developement and modifying). Equipped with the standard gear of today's troops, the soldiers are protected by BDU MkIII Maxim Battle armor, which covers the standard combat suit, a uniform with kevlar weaved in, adding to the protection.
F.A.R. Teams
F.A.R. Teams (Fast Assault Recon) are made up of 2 Squads paired up, and equipped with recon gear. An AR-105 and SO-42 make up the F.A.R. Troopers weapons, while his BDA MkIII is outfitted with the Jackhammer Recon Attachments, which are made up of a Long-range Radio Set mounted on the back of the troopers armor, a zooming visor, a Personal Cloaking Unit (PCU), and other pieces of equipment. Sent into combat zones to reconnoiter the area, or to gather information on enemy troop movements and positions, F.A.R. Teams are also used to destroy supply routes, take out enemy command personnel, or sabotaging enemy vehicles.
Gear layout:
Rifleman/Squad Leader:
1x AR-75 Assault Rifle
1x SO-42 Sidearm
4x Clips of AR-75 Ammunition

The BDA MkIII Maxim
Basic Overview:
The Battle Defence Unit MkIII (http://img54.imageshack.us/my.php?image=eubg8ub.jpg) is the Royal Incorporated Trooper's standard battle dress, which is made from ceramic tiles built into the shell, which covers the chest and back, legs, and arms. In-between thsoe areas, a flexible weave of uniform material and kevlar holds the pieces together, while providing some protection in those areas.
Helmet:
The helmet is made up of the same materials, but with thinner, and lighter, materials. A tinted visor provides slight protection for the eyes from debris, smoke, while a gas filter of sorts provides cover from gasses, smoke inhalation, and others.
Systems:
A somewhat advanced HUD is incorporated into the helmet, which shows the time, a small map based on data gathered from previous UAV overflights, and other things.
Orders can be read through the HUD, and the user can flip through visor modes, such as infrared, night vision, etc. A 'helmet radio' is also in the helmet, allowing for communications silent to people not close enough to hear the chatter over the micro-speakers. Unlike most modern suits, the BDA MkIII has no enhancing abilities, and for now is used only for defence and to gain a slight advantage over less advanced enemies.
A pair of wristblades, one on each gauntlet, is used for hand-to-hand combat. A distinct click is heard whenever one extends, and followed by a whooshing noise when it is retracted. The wristblade is popped out when the Maxim's wearer makes a fist and applies very hard pressure, and the blade is retracted when the hand is unclenched.
A somewhat primitive cloaking mechanism is used for Spec Ops missions, allowing the user to move by unnoticed, unless the enemy sees them via IR vision. The suit has cooling and heating mechanisms placed in areas around the suit's inside, providing the wearer some comfort in cold or hot conditions. The MkIII is still a work-in-progress, with new models being tested, and new features being incorporated.
The Trooper
The standard infantryman in the Royal Incorporated Army is dangerous by themself. But put him in a group, and the trooper is now part of a war machine, wether the group of soldiers make a group of 3, or 3,000. Trained for versatility in hard combat conditions, the soldier can be moved throughout different companies with ease, allowing for a soldier to be flexible,
and their weapons follow the same mindset.
The Trooper's Weapons
The AR-75 is dangerous by itself, without the extra 'frills'. But with the mountable grenade launcher or the shotgun, it becomes even more dangerous, especially in the hands of an Incorporated Trooper, which the weapon was designed specifically for.
The AR-65 Assault Rifle is in use with the marine branch of the RIA, and is built to withstand worse conditions than the AR-75 can handle, which is not built for swampy or wet terrain. With a mountable bayonet, which, like the AR-75's, is only for ceremonial use. No grenade launcher is available for the Model 65 Assault Rifle (the gun's official designation).
The SO-42, a sidearm designed for spec ops missions, was adopted as the standard issue sidearm for the RIA. A short barreled gun, it is useful for close-combat conditions, where RIA Troopers prefer to be able to quickly move around. A heavy-duty version is used by the Royal Incorporated Army's Marine Branch, which is more water-resistant and made to withstand worse conditions.
Tactics
The Royal Incorporated Army uses shows of force in rebelling towns and small cities to quell any protestors or possible rioters. In combat situations, companies are split up, with each squad going about completing their objective. During defensive moves, Royal Incorporated Troopers are busied fortifying cities and points, as well as towns and villages which may be close to possible invasion points, coordinating with the Navy and Airforce to provide nearly impenetrable coastal and inland defenses.
