OOC: I drawed this up when I had a free hour at school, and remember, this vehicle is to transport persons from and to the Battlefield, and in some cases over the Battlefield.

IC:
After many years of development, Van Luxemburg has finally announced the existence of the Advanced Road Tranport Program, intended to make faster and better transport from and to the Battlefield possible. VDZ & VL engineers took the base of a Renault Magnum truck and totally rebuilt it. it got higher groundclearance and better Engines, aswell as better protection.

The VLT motors V-10 diesel engine runs on Bio-Diesel and normal Diesel, which ends up in better fuel usage and better torque than a normal Fuel Engine. the torque is very high and very useful for the vehicle to provide enormous power to pull anything needed on the battlefront under 20 EU Tonnes. the engine is coupled to an ZF Semi-Auto gearbox, which is air-assisted so the driver can shift gears more easily. the vehicle has 16 gears for optimal power usage. the Vehicle has adaptive cruise-control for driving in convoys.

Weight

The JK-V6 weighs 9,000 KG and can have a maximal load of 50,000 KG. optional, a trailer of up to 20,000 KG can be pulled to transport more supplies.
the maximum weight makes it possible to transport up to 40 fully-equipped soldiers, whioch can be seated comfortably in seats placed in the loading space. three doors, two on the side and one on the back have been included in the loading area for quick getout. the vehicle has been armoured to level B6 to withstand AK-47/M16 equivalents fire.

Braking and Suspension

The Braking system consists of a ZF intarder designed to brake on the Gearbox, an Optibrake compression engine braking system, which brakes the engine, and 6 discbrakes around the truck to brake on the axles/wheels.
in addition, the JK-V6 owns Anti-Blocking system (ABS), which prevents the wheels from blocking, Electronic Stability program (ESP) to ensure the stability of the vehicle, Automatic Differential Brake (ADB-X) so the differential can brake off a slipping wheel, Automatic Cornering Enhancement (ACE) which steadies the vehicle on-road and enlarges steering capability off-road, Active Damping System (ADS) to enhance the working of the Shockabsorbers to cooperate their working conform to loads, state of the road, Active Front Steering (AFS) to make the capability of steering on low speeds better, Brake Assist System (BAS) to buildup pressure on the brakingpedal so the brakes give their maximal capability earlier, Brake-by-Wire which eliminates the hydraulical and mechanical working on the braking pedal,
Drive-by-Wire so the accelerator on the vehicle is in direct electric contact with the Fuelpump, Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD) to divide optimal braking power over all the braking systems, Distronic to keep the distance from the vehicle infront of the truck, Doppel Schalt Getriebe (DSG) , which couples two gearboxes into one, which provide more direct shifting (you normally shift in 4 seconds, DSG in 3 seconds, Schumacher in 2 seconds)
DSTC, which enables when the vehicle doesn't follow the orders of the driver and corrects the vehicle by braking one or more wheels or bring the rpm back. The JK-V6 has air-suspension to enhance the comfort on- and offroad.

The driver has a luxurious interior, but not too luxurious. it has all needed accesoiries including a bed, to accomodate the driver on longer trips. it can also house a Small armory in place of the lower bed, while the upper bed can still be used. one soldier can be housed next to the driver. the floor of the cabin has been armoured to prevent debris of an exploded engine reaching the driver.

in the Space behind the cabin the vehicle has a large storage facility, which can house up to 40 Soldier with full equipment, and several supplies and ammunitionboxes. the Soldiers can be accomodated by hammocks hung up on the roof or in seats with fabric covering.

Armouring and defensive capabilities

the Vehicle has got a B6 level protection with in addition a Titanium armouring around the cabin and loading space, to blast-protect the crew and passengers. it also has a small opening in the loading space with bullet-proof (resistant)glass, which can be opened to allow the passengers to fire out.

Price

ooc: Sweet truck man. Wanna make the engine compartment in the American configuration with the engine in front of the cabin and designed to blow out away from the cabin if hit? Your current engine configuration will kill the driver and accompanying soldier if it blows up.

Also, try to mount some firing ports for the soldiers onboard, so that supply raiders, guerillas and insurgents will have a much harder time destroying the truck.

Another thing: Add some sort of AWD system, if only to the trailer, in order to allow it to traverse rought terrain.

OOC: I already included AWD, it's an 6x6.
and actually, the chance of blowing up the engine is minimal. when you fire an RPG-7 for example at this baby, their would only be a large hole in it. the Fuel tank is the real danger, and if it blows, you're fried, but that's the same on a vehicle with Torpedo noses. you have to count on that the vehicle is B6 level armoured and this includes thicker armour at the engine and Fueltanks.

maybe i'll include small firing ports, I'll look at it.

EDIt: Just came up another flaw of an Torpedo design: the ability to make short turns is greatly limited by the nose, aswell as the size of the vehicle and the nose limits the view of the driver
