COMPACT OF NEO-PRAETON

Preface

The Compact of Neo-Praeton is a mutually agreeable pact between the nations of Praetonia and Brutix concerning the creation of a dependable future and stable borders for both colonies long into the future. It is designed to stop an ill-thought out rush for territory which may otherwise have devolved into conflict. In addition, the Compact of Neo-Praeton establishes and affirms bonds of friendship and allegiance between the two nations and their respective colonies.

Article 1 The borders of Neo-Praeton and Brutix shall be affirmed and affixed to the points shown on Schedule 1 (see below).

Article 2 Both colonies shall respect the sovereignty of their counterparts, and shall not seek, directly or indirectly, to undermine the position of their counterpart colony.

Article 3 Until such time as official control may be employed over the affected territories, both Praetonia and Brutix agree to resist, with diplomatic, economic and military force, any attempt by a foreign power to occupy the territory assigned to one or other of the colonies as shown in Schedule 1.

Article 4 Both colonies agree to come to the diplomatic, economic if military aid of the other should it become necessary. Both colonies will move to prevent any foreign military power from undermining the sovereignty, in whole or in part, of one or the other colony.

Article 5 In the event of Bonstock control over their colony disintegrating, both parties agree to move in to restore orderand establish borders as shown by Schedule 2.

Article 5 Both nations shall prevent, with military force, any attempt by another foreign power to undermine the borders estbalished by Schedule 2, should Bonstock lose control voer their colony.

Article 6 Both nations commit to enhancing the freedom of trade between their two colonies and nations.

Article 7 In the spirit of peace, both nations will commit to minimal troop deployments along the new borders as established by Schedule 1 and, in the event of the destablisation of Bonstock, Schedule 2.

By the affixing of the signatures of the Heads of State, Head of Government and Colonial Governors, both Praetonia and Brutix declare this treaty legally binding in the eyes of both nations and all of their territories, colonies and dependencies,

A notion has popped up for debate in the Peoples Delegation. The colonies of Camewot, Bonstock and Vistadin appear to have dissolved their governments. Thus I ask of Praetonia for a change in the compact, a deal. If we allow you to control all of Bonstock, could the Commonwealth of Brutix initiate a take over of the Vistadin and both Camewotian Colonies? (OOC: I know you were trying to buy them, maybe we can come to an agreement upon this.) Speedy response requested.

We would agree to this, however we would have to clear the Camewot area with the Camewottian Government [OOC: Camewot is only 8 days inactive, and I still see him on MSN and am talking to him about buying his colonies anyway so I dont know why he was inactiv'd.] so as not to cause them any offense. We llok forwards to more of these very productive deals with Brutix.
