The Black Necrons

The hulk drifted in space. It had been thousands of years, millions even, since the hulk had been even detected on any scanner or by any organism.
Within the hulk, computers stirred. The tomb-hulk continued to float, but seemingly with more purpose. The computers were somewhat distressed... they had lost contact with their C'tan. They had their orders, of course... to harvest all life in the galaxy. But now they had no leader. The computers whirred, something had activated them. There was whining of ancient hydraulics, staisis tombs began unfolding. A surge of energy flowed from the crystals, and the tomb-station was finally coming fully online. Clacking of metal parts and whining of energy coincided with a eerie green portal snapping online within the containment area. The Necron warriors waited, their computer/Necrontyr souls uncaring for the lack of communication with their C'tan. They had their orders.
