The Emperor of MelekTaus today gave the Military the green light to use genetic engineering techniques, along with gene therapy, to created a super soldier army for a new special forces group known only as the Imperial Brotherhood. The soldiers will be made up of specifically engineered, cloned and raised super soldiers from child birth, their DNA taken from the nation's greatest recent army heros, and their leaders will be current service men and women given specialist gene therapy to bring their genetics in line with their charges. Their experiance will hopefully guide the new soldiers.
A full 3 billion a year out of the military budget has been assigned to the genetic side of the project alone, more funding being earmarked by Military officials for new weapons research for these specil forces troopers. However, despite the mostly government controlled press being hot on the Emperor's tail for details or even a sttement on this new project, none has been given. More updates will follow as information is found out.
