Random Kingdom celebrates 2bn population milestone

Today marked the end of an epoch of Random Kingdom history and the beginning of another when Mary-Ann Correday was born to joyous parents in a major hospital in the northern wing of Acoria Palisades (the lush outskirts of the capital), marking the coveted two-billion population milestone. One million citizens before, the nation was just about to head into its futile Farmina War, and technology was mostly still digital watches and home computers. Now, the people of Random Kingdom look outside at the fireworks and mass parades, and into the future.

As a result, the 3rd of Termina (December) 2085 has been decreed a national holiday by the Representative, the newly elected Acoran Smith II.

The Pure Socialist Holy Empire congratulates you on this milestone. We too recently have made it to the mark of having 2 Billion civilians. So as one members of the 2 Billion + club to another. Congratulations

We hope you die a quick and painless death and the hands of an assassin or - hopefuly - worse.

We shall not forget, not now, not ever, the violence and destruction brought forth by Random Kingdom.

That you and your nation may burn.

Signed,

The Imperial Councill and the Imperial Senate of the Empire.

Note: Under current foreign affairs guidelines in RK, sending a death threat to the Representative is considered just short of an act of war.

As a result of this threat alone, he has moved out of the city of Acoria, and has refused to attend any events this year in person.

In that case we would like to threaten the rest of your representatives too, if that would give us similar results.

As for the declaration of war, I cannot think we ever lifted that...did we?

Alfarius Damocales,
Imperial Councillor,
Minister of Defence.

There is only one representative, human that is, an elected constitutional monarch that declares national holidays, addresses the nation and other symbolic stuff. The government is actually a supercomputer-implemented direct democracy, which isn't the most efficient of government types (it is closer to anarchy than anything else), but has served the population well since the end of the Farmina War.

We haven't declared war yet, but any more bad press and the rather touchy population will most likely dig up the hatchet.
