Dear Ms. President Kasilyn Branam,

It is too my utmost pleasure to contact you this evening and inform you that I, Donald Smith, Supreme Emperor of Smithsillian, have ordered a complete dissolvance of the Smithso-Jarridian Defense Initiative.

The actions that have taken place as of late in the Westwood Alliance have undoubtedly brought our differences to a head once again, and I will no longer tolerate your greed and unfair practices.

For many years Jarridia and Smithsillian fought border conflicts after the city of Kiakor was so hastily taken from us. Terribly consequences befell Smithsillian, and we entered into the pact with your late husband to further both of our nations abilities. The Initiative was very fruitful, at first, until once again Jarridia felt the need to be unjust in its actions and achieve the 'upperhand' if you will and try to overshadow us. We allowed it in the beginning, but with your recent refusal to be an helpful and worthwhile ally, we see nop point in continuing this treaty.

No longer will Smithsillian come to Jarridian aid, and vice versa. No longer will we look to our neighbor for trade and prosperity. Your actions have sealed the fate to show that Jarridia and Smithsillian can never be true allies. Our ambassador will be extracted at once, and any Smithsillian people within Jarridia are asked to return to the homeland at once.

Consider yourself duly served. May every nation of the world witness this act, and see what a betrayer you are. Have your self a good and ignorant day.

At this time, and upon the full check of all incoming people, the border between Smithsillian and Jarridia will be permanently closed. Any Jarridians found within Smithsillian sovereign territory will be arrested and persecuted.

Presidential Palace; Shelbin, Jarridia

President Kasilyn Branam was sitting quietly in the sunlight of the office, with a slightly confused look on her face. She was still trying to comprehend everything that had happened, and she still was not sure of everything that was being President. Kim Shaffer walked into the door and slowly made her way to the desk.

"Good afternoon, Ms. President." said Kim with a smile.

"Oh, hello Kim," said Kasilyn with a sigh.

"Is everything alright?" questioned Kim with a concerned look coming over her face.

"Oh...yeah.." Kasilyn hesitated slightly, before continuing, "There is just so much reading and work. I'm not much of a reader, and I don't know half of the things these papers are talking about."

Kim walked over by her side and glanced at a few things, "You know Kasilyn. You didn't have to do all of this by yourself. Thats why you have a cabinet."

Kasilyn hesitated for a moment, "You mean, you can help me with this?"

"Well of course. In fact, most of this is my work. Jarrod always had me read over these and give him a synopsis. Thats what my job is, besides sending a few messages to foreign leaders." replied Kim with the kindness that always filled her voice.

"Great, because I have no idea what I'm doing, " Kasilyn laughed, but knew that probably wasn't the best thing to say. She slid back in her chair a little ways, making herself comfortable.

"However, Kasilyn, we do have a small issue that needs your attention." said Kim.

"Oh?" replied Kasilyn, a sort of disappointment taking over her entire expression.

"Yes ma'am," Kim nodded, "Are you aware of the Smithso-Jarridian Defense Initiative?"

"Not at all," Kasilyn said with a little sorrow on her face.

"Thats ok, I'll explain, "replied Kim, the kindess filling her voice again, "You see, many years ago Smithsillian and Jarridia were enemies, until finally Jarrod and Donald came to an agreement to create an everlasting peace in the form of a Defense Initiative. The SJDI."

Kasilyn nodded, as she tried to follow allong.

Kim continued, "We've been in this defensive pact for many years; however..."

"I don't like howevers....nothing ever comes out of them that is good." said Kasilyn suddenly.

Kim acknowledged the statement but continued none the less, "however, today, the new leader of Smithsillian, Emperor Sallison, has decided to terminate the alliance."

"What?" Kasilyn said suddenly, "what does that mean?"

"It means this, they are no longer in the SJDI, and have once again turned to be our enemy." said Kim.

"Why do they hate us?" asked Kasilyn innocently.

"It's not hate necessarily. They disagreed with our stance on one of our past issues in the WWA, and therefore feel that we should no longer be tied in this friendly bond." said Kim.

"Well, is there anything we can do?" asked Kasilyn.

"I suggest that we send them a letter to show that we aren't afraid of their accusations and unfriendly behavior. Thus off setting their stance against us." replied Kim.

"How do we go about doing this? I'm sorry that I don't know more," said Kasilyn, dropping her head slightly.

"I will work up a brief draft and then we can take a look at it together. You can sign the finished copy and we'll insure that the world knows our return statement." Kim replied softly.

"Thank you Kim, for all of your help. You've always been a trustworthy and generous friend." smiled Kasilyn.

"That is my job Kasilyn. I'll get to work immediately. Think of a few things we can say to Smithsillian to maybe repair the friendship. Also, I would suggest contacting ViZion with some of the information we have. Always keep in touch with our closest allies." replied Kim as she headed out of the room.

It is unfortunate to see that you have decided to cancel our long time defensive pact. Let it be known that your wishes will be fulfilled, and the alliance will be dissolved. However, we do not understand why you have wished to threaten our sovereignty. We have done nothing to you, now have we had any intentions of attacking Smithsillian.

It is one thing to terminate our alliance unjustly, but to threaten us at the same time is unforgivable. As to you, Mr. Sallison. Consider yourself warned.
