Description

Fast Reaction, rapid fire 20 mm gun systems

Features

Defender provides a war vessel with a “last chance” defence against anti-ship missiles, aircraft and other littoral warfare threats that have penetrated the vessels other defences.

Defender automatically detects tracks and engages threats from anti-shipping missiles and aircraft to small high speed surface craft and surface mines.

Defender accomplishes these tasks with an advanced search and track radar system integrated with a stabilized, forward looking infra-red (FLIR) detector.

ATTA/ARC

The Advanced Tactical Threat Analysis and Automated Response Computer provide Defender the ability to “intelligently” identify threats, engage and kill without any input from external sources

The 6 barrelled 20mm Cannon its ammunition magazine and the search/track radar and FLIR are mounted on a rotating hydraulic base providing up to 300 degree rotation and the hydraulic bearings, which the cannon is mounted on to, provide the system with elevations from -15 degrees to +75 degrees
