It has come to the attention of the Romulii Empire that the territory of New Reman has declared it's independance and is attempting to act as a separate goverment as well as hold elections. While we have been leneant towards New Reman, this is unacceptable. There is but one leader, and that is Emperor Magnus Octavian and any goverment position is to be appointed by the Emperor himself.
Further more, intelligence has shown that New Reman has been building it's own army and airforce. Undoubtably this move is to raise arms against the Empire.
We urge other goverments to fail to recognize New Reman as a separate goverment, and to cease in aiding them. Any nation found to be aiding New Reman in their efforts against the Empire of the Romulii will be considered enemies of the Empire and dealt with accordingly.

To the nations of the world:

We the people of Democratic Republic of New Reman insist upon the fact that we have never been, nor currently are, a territory of the Empire of the Romulii. It is our belief that all people should be allowed to elect their leaders freely and openly, and not be oppressed by tyranical emperors.
Our ever expanding military is merely to defend our nation from any attackers, including the Empire. It is not our intent to attack or harm anyone. We will only act if provoked.
It is our hope that other peace and freedom loving nations will continue to respect us as a goverment as we respect them, and denounce these rediculous claims by the empire.

The Empire of MelekTaus fully supports the decision of New Reman, and will offer both financial, and military, aid in the even it is attacked in an unprovoked manner by The Empire of Romulii.

A large taskforce is being prepared to defend New Reman should an invasion occur. We would also like to offer you the status of 'Willing Province of the Empire'. This would give you full protection of the Empire and the same level of government control in peacetime.

The Incorporated States of SkyCapt is willing to go to war with Romulii if they place any military forces on New Reman soil.

OOC: Oh, and I'd expect Ankhmet would support Romulii's decision, being an empire and all. But oh well.

The Empire of the Romulii insists that despite their lies, New Reman IS a territory of the Empire and should be brought back under Imperial control. We are both angered and saddened by the choices some nations have made in supporting these rebels.
Imperial Legions have begun staging at the border with New Reman, and our airforce is on high alert. New Reman has 48 hours to come under the control of the Empire of the Romulii or be taken back by force.

Very well. The 9th Corps, the first of the new Troopers of the RSA, is being readied. You have 24 hours to remove your troops, or air strikes will commence on your nation. May I remind you that your military consists of a measely 100,000 men. (taking into account the fact that your military can only be 2% of your population)

The Second People's Guard Division is being readied. You have 24 hours to remove your threat to the sovereignty of New Reman.

Regretably, it looks as though war will soon be upon us. We appreciate the aid that other nations are willing to send, and we hope that a diplomatic solution can be found so as to not put any of our troops in harm's way. The New Reman military is small but mighty and ready to defend their homeland, and our Civil Defence wing has already been put on full alert. Though Romulii troops are staging at our border, we insist that we will not draw first blood.

As the Chief of the World Development Bank, I offer you the opportunity of taking out a 0% interest loan up to $10bn for you to fortify your military.

A wise choice. But even though you have withdrawn your troops from the New Reman border, our forces are ready in case something else is tried.

Things had begun to quiet down in the capitol of Remus for the day when the silence was interrupted. The air raid sirens began to blare...an unidentified aircraft had entered New Reman airspace, and it came from Romulii.
Immediately two civil defence fighters are scrambled to intercept the intruder.

"Identify yourself" demands one of the pilots, but the call goes unanswered. "You are within New Reman airspace. Either you land immediately or you will be shot down." Again, silence over the airwaves. The ultimatum is given again "Land or be shot down." Yet again, nothing.

The two New Reman fighters break away from the intruding cargo plane and circle around behind it. They lock missles.

"This is your last chance. Either make motions to land or be shot down. We have you in missle lock. You are toned." But as before, the airwaves remain silent.

Both New Reman aircraft fire a missle a piece, causing the Romulii plane to explode and crash down to the desert below. "Splash one bogie." The fighters patrol the airspace before returning to base.

OOC: The last part was godmodding, your counting his casualties. Just make it so your fighters launch a missile each, and then let Romulii RP the missile attack.

THIS IS AN OUTRAGE! New Reman has CLEARLY acted aggressively and could have pursued a more peaceful course of action than to shoot the plane down! Does the world not see New Reman's true colors now!? A small military unit WILL be sent to New Reman to recover the downed airplane and hopefully our pilots as well. If we are met with any resistance, we will begin to take New Reman by force and bring them back into the Empire.

Perhaps the Romulii aircraft couldn't intercept the New remen transmission. I think that new remen should have taken a little more time to see what the aircraft was doing. As a result, when you go scavage the wreck, I will send a small group of out infintry to help you scavage the plane.

The New Reman goverment isn't going to stand by and wait to see if a hostile airplane is going to attempt to use a nuclear device or any conventional bombs against us.

My Own Little Hell will send what troops it can to help with the recovery of the plane.

And let it be known We do not agree with the actions of New Reman

Under no circumstances will any hostile military forces be allowed to enter New Reman territory. It was the Empire of the Romulii that acted in aggression by sending one of their military aircraft into our airspace to begin with.

I do not understand the big deal new remen. If you do not allow Romulii to get his plane back, there will be dreadful consiquences...

The 9th Corps is ready to be deployed at an instant's notice. Do not tangle with New Reman.

We'll do whatever needs to be done to get the plane back hopefully in a peaceful manner. But we will use force if at all provoked to do so.

Ok new remen, make your decision, allow us to get the plane back, or face the consiquences.

Any threat to New Reman will be considered an act of agression against the Imperium. New Reman is an emerging state, and does not need the agressive intentions of your pathetic state trained on it.

In understanding the Empire of the Romulii's desires to have it's pilots back safely, we will allow a 3rd party coalition of forces to assertain the condition of the pilots, and return them safely if they are alive. In order to insure everyone's best interest, we will allow this coalition to be made up of both Ankhmet and Ducaducastanian troops.

Thank you new remen. We will be quick, get the pilots and leave, do not double cross us.

Ankhmet, never underestimate the power of a terrorist nation. Although most of the time we are dormant, but we will attack if its for the cause...

We appreciate this peaceful action and find it fair. At this time, the troops of the Romulii will stand down and halt aggressions towards the province of New Reman. We are currently in talks to negotiate peace.

The Armed Republic of Xenose is willing to offer support of 1 million troops, munitions, and equipment to the Romulii Empire if they can prove that the Democratic Republic of New Reman is in fact a rogue teritory of their great nation.

The Royal SkyCaptian Army can deploy 4 more corps if necessary, making for a grand total of 72,000 elite-trained troops, along with the 12,000 Marines from a Naval Task Force.

If New Reman can truly prove that they are deserving of separation, then they would be entitled to this. However, if Romulii can prove that they have New Reman as a province and treated them fairly, then New Reman has no right to break off from Romulii's control. We await any response.

The conflict is over and resolved. They have talked it over and New Reman is now part of the Romulii region.

We'll wait to see if New Reman confirms it.

This is in fact true. We have signed a peace accord with the Empire of the Romulii after long talks and negotiation. In short, the nation of New Reman and the Empire of the Romulii are planning to work hand in hand to assist other devoloping nations as oppose to attacking them and using "aggressive negotiations". We're hoping that both nations can allign and bring stability to the Romulii region as oppose to petty land squabbles.

To those that have pledged your support, we thank you graciously and hope to be able to continue to count on you and return the favor in the future.
