Using his change form ability, the dragon shifted into a human with blond hair and golden eyes. He replied, "Caelum? Oh you must mean Engel! I'm not him as you can plainly see. He's just a friend of mine who needed me to act as his mount for a bit. Speaking of which, do you happen to know where he went?"

Linden replies, "Well, you are the first Dragon that I've met that can shift shape. Oh, as for Caelum, or Engel, or whatever you want to call him," Linden gestures towards the water, "his scent comes strongest from the water."
He jumps a little in surprise as Maurynna appears, apparently out of no where.
"Morning," he replies as he accepts the toast. He nods his thanks.

"Yes I am." The 'imp' replied, "And while it's none of your buisness why, I was instructed to."
Shrugging, Engel pulled himself out of the water and dried himself a minor fire spell. Pulling on his shirt, he made his way back to the wagons.
The 'imp' continued following Engel.

Seeing Engel again, Iris jumped out of her seat and jump/tackled/pounced Engel. With shout of surprise, Engel fell over backwards. Straddling him, she shouted, "Ha! I win" before sticking out her tongue mockingy.
Krigade, seeing Engel was only half a second behind Iris in the goal of glomping Engel.

Seeing Krigade lunge as well, Iris gave out a battlecry before tackling her. Engel took this moment to stealthily cloak himself and hid behind the wagons.

After dunking her head in the pond and squeezing the exchess water out of her hair, Maurynna returned to the wagons. Linden remained by the water watching the Dragon.

"Oh really?" inquired the dragon,"Would you take me to him please? I have a message from the council for him."
Meanwhile Engel had began muttering, "Please don't find me. Please don't find me. Please don't find me."
Krigade let out an ouff as she was counter-tackled. "What'd you do that for?" She asked the other girl.

"He's mine!" she said before lunging at her again.
"He is mine first." Krigade replied as she used a spell to create a shield.

By the wagons
Maurynna said, blowing some wet strands of hair out of her face, "Now, now, ladies. Ever hear of the concept of sharing, or you could just let him make up his own mind on the subject."
Back by the water
"Follow me," replied Linden.
Following his nose, Linden led the Dragon back over to the wagons.
Seeing the three on the ground, he kneels down and asks, "Having fun down here?"

Letting out another warcry, Iris drew a wooden blade and fell into a stance that she had learned from Engel. In a blink of the eye, she lunged foward blade overhead. She was going to teach this tramp just who Engel belonged to.
Engel could only mutter how troublesome women could be before reappearing in front of Krigade and parrying the blow with one of his daggers.
"Thank you Engel." Krigade said as Engel protected her from the aggressive look-a-like.

Iris let out a sigh of dissapointment. Glaring at Engel, she said, "You'd better make it up to me by tutoring me some more or else....." The implied threat was more than enough to make Engel shiver. "Sure. Sure. Why don't we spar now," he said. Leaning over to Krigade, he whispered, "For the love the Light, I suggest you find a safe place to watch."
"Alright." She said as she took a seat on one of the wagons.

Drawing her sword, the sunlight glinted off its steel blade. Engel put his hands on his daggers' hilts. "Ha! You're going to use your daggers this time. I'll win for sure this time!" Iris shouted before charging. Engel smirked as he waited for her to get closer. Swinging down, she used a technique that she learned from the Academy that was simply called bash. A ringing sound filled the air, as Engel deflected it with one dagger and dashed forward taking a swing at her legs. Iris staggered back barely parrying the low strike. She calmed her self down and went into a defensive stance. Engel on the other hand had resheathed his blades and had one hand on the hilt and the other before him, his open palm facing Iris. In a blink of the eye, he had clasped his hands together, forming some sort of hand seal. He then said, "Kanashibari no Jutsu." At first, it appeared as if nothing had happened. But when Iris tried to move, she found that she couldn't. She yelled through clenched teeth, "You cheating son of a motherless goat!" Engel said nothing, but had a mischievious glint in his eye.

Maurynna drew her sword and ran her thumb and fore-finger along the edge of the blade.
She said, as she moved her hand, "Gëuloth du knífr!"
Once she was done, she held the blade at her side, point down.

Engel raised an eyebrow before turning to face her. He then said softly in common, "Let the Wind guide the blade and the Flame strike true." The daggers seemed to take on a reddish hue before changing back to its silver sheen.

Maurynna raises her left eyebrow.
"I would put those blades away if I were you," she said, "I'm just getting ready for the weekly practice with Linden."
She hefts her blade and starts to walk away. Linden stood up and followed her. He did the same thing to his blade that she had done to her's as he walked. They stopped when they reached what they judged to be a safe distance from the wagons.
Linden looks at Maurynna. She nods. Linden calls to the others, before nodding back, "You are in for a treat. Its not every day that you get to see two Dragonlords train at anything."
Maurynna shouts, "And I would suggest that you all stay over there, wouldn't want you to get hurt on accident."
Linden and Maurynna start to circle. The light gleaming off their blades. Suddenly, they rush at each other. Linden leaps into the air and does a flip over Maurynna's head. She twirls and catches Linden's back swing with the edge of her blade. They face each other and break. Their swords clang as they block each other's strikes. They go through all the basic motions in sword fighting. Sparks fly each time their swords meet. Suddenly, their blades meet and slide down each other so hilt meets hilt. Neither able to gain any leverage, they jump apart and resume circling each other.
OOC: Just a little F.Y.I., that spell they did to their blades created a barrier over the cutting edge. This dull barrier prevents anyone from getting cut, but the swords are still able to cause some nasty bruises.
I will continue the their training fight in the next post.
You can post your reactions to it so far.

Nodding, Engel sheathed his blade and cancelled the technique he had used on Iris. Vanishing in a swirl of leaves, he reappeared on a tree branch.

After the initial flury, both Linden and Maurynna are covered with a light sweat. They rush towards each other again with a clang as their swords strike each other. Maurynna flips backward and does a low kick aimed at Linden's shins. Linden jumps up to avoid the strike, but the heel of one shoe is hit, knocking him backwards. As he lands on his back, he turns the fall into a roll and returns to his feet. Though, before he can fully recover, Maurynna strikes. The curve of her sword catching on the hilt of Linden's and flinging it to the side. She had won this training match. She sat down and waited for Linden to retrieve his blade. Once he did, he sat across from her and they both removed the spell from the swords and returned them to their sheaths. After such exertion as they had just done, both were sweating profusely and panting for breath.

Engel had watched with interest for a while. Sensing one of his dragon allies nearby, he vanished silently into the shadows.
Reappearing before the golden dragon, he inquired about how far the dragons had gone in mobilizing. The dragon gave his report and then began the trip back. Engel was looking into his reflection in the water, pondering what the best course of action would be. Then out of the blue, a black feather with the tip a golden color landed on the water. Engel's eyes widened in surprise as he spun around.
Krigade decided to see if she could make piece with Isis, and walked over to her.

Iris gave Krigade a death glare as she came closer.
-----With Engel------
He summoned his wings and flew into the air, narrowly dodging a black arrow that landed where he had been moments before. Summoning a sword, he sensed a presence behind him. Turning quickly, he was prepared to cut whoever it was in half that is until that person pressed her lips to his. Engel's eyes widened in shock. Teleporting a bit away, he shouted, "What? How can this be? I sealed you under that mountain ages ago!"
Krigade prepared a defensive spell. "Hello Isis."

"Hello, Krigade," replied Iris politely though the glare didn't waver.
--------With Engel-------------------
Veriel let out a laugh. "When you let out that darker part of you," she said," You broke the seal which set me free. And now, I think I'll reclaim what's mine." "What's your's? What are you talking about?" asked Engel. "You of course!" she exclaimed as she flew quickly towards him, dark energy crackling around her. "Me?" he muttered rather puzzled. "You'll not take me without a fight," he said as the air around him began humming with holy energy.
"How are you?" She asked cautiously.

"I'm fine..but...how would you like to make a bet?" asked Iris, her glare lessening.
"A bet over what, as well as what terms/conditions?" Krigade asked
Soragakure
28-10-2005, 05:54
"I was thinking," she said, "That we could have a contest of some sort. The winner gets Engel. So how about it. You aren't afraid of losing are you?"
"Depends what the terms/conditions are, what the bet is, ect." Krigade, "Also, it's Engel's choice."

"How about let's see which one of us can get the closest to him in two weeks," she replied, "Anything goes as long as nothing endangers the life other. At the end of the two weeks, we can ask him which of us he likes better, that way, he does get to choose. So what do you say?"
"You do know I could banish you to limbo for the entire time, don't you?" Krigade asked
Soragakure
29-10-2005, 00:08
Iris grinned cheekily. "I was thinking you could do something like that so I asked Engel if he had anything that could negate magic. He just nodded and handed me this and went on reading his book." She reached into her shirt and pulled out a smooth stone attached to a leather cord. Some writing was inscribed onto the stone. It read, "Let seal of warding shield you from harmful intent."
"Being put in limbo isn't harmful." Krigade replied, "It can actually be quite beneficial. It can actually be quite beneficial."

"Oh really, beneficial you say. How?" said Iris, clearly showing that she doubted Krigade.
-----------With Engel------------------------
An explosion ripped across the sky as the two met. Engel tried a horizontal slash but was easily parried. Muttering a dark spell, she sent several spheres of dark energy at Engel. Crossing the air before him, he muttered, "Kyrie Eleison." The spheres slammed into him and massive amounts of smoke soon filled the air. The explosion was so loud that it could be heard for miles. The black smoke too was quite easy to spot.
"For one, it gives you time to think on your life." Krigade replied, thinking back to her time in 'limbo' or more accurately in bottle 'limbo'. Where she had a chance to analyze her life, and seal what she wished, or all of it as she had, until the diary had re-awoken her memories, but had made them just that, memories, rather than reality, returning her to the person she should have been, rather than the dark priestess she had been.

"Er...I think I'd rather stay out here," she replied. Suddenly, she heard a loud explosion and turned toward the direction from which it came. "Engel!" she cried as she saw the smoke in the sky. Without another word, she dashed toward the cloud of smoke.
-----------With Engel----------------
With a flap of his wings, the smoke soon cleared. As the smoke cleared, Engel hovered in the air seemingly unharmed. "Veriel, just because you were my partner doesn't mean you know all my tricks," he said in a lecturing tone. Veriel stared in shock as she had assumed her spell had gotten through. "W-what?! How did you do that!?" she shouted. "What is this you ask. This is something called the 'Kyrie Eleison' it is also referred to among the seraphim as one of the absolute barrier spells." he replied. He flapped his wings once, sending a hail of feathers at her.

Hearing the explosion, both Linden Rathan and Maurynna Kyrissaean both looked up into the sky. Even though they were still weary from the practice duel they had finished only a little while ago, the both stood up and gathered their strength in case they were needed. Though they were too tired to initiate the magick of Changing, they could defend themselves quite well in their human forms.

The air around Veriel crackled and became distorted by the massive amounts of dark energy. The feathers were gone before they even reached her. She seemed to pant from the effort. "It sems we'll be having company soon. I'll see again soon," she said playfully before blowing a kiss to him. In a blink of an eye, she vanished.
Reappearing near Sanction, she changed her clothing to match that of defenseless maiden. She began walking toward the gate.

After Veriel departed, Engel gave an audible sigh. Sensing several presences approaching, he shifted back to his previous form, though his clothes were slightly torn, his hair ruffled, and feathers scattered everywhere. He prayed to his deity that he could think of a good excuse or lie.
The wagons, having picked up Krigade followed the other three toward the source of the blast.

Linden and Maurynna relaxed when they sensed no imediate danger. Still slightly weak from their practice bout, they had moved so that they were leaning against a tree trunk. After a few minutes, Maurynna had fallen asleep with her head in Linden's lap.
