As the first act of the new UFE goverment, the justice system in Einhauser will be overhauled. Firstly, the automatic death sentence associated with any crime short of petty theft will be repealed, instead replaced with torture and forced labor. Secondly, the automatic excecution of all indiviguals of age 60 and over will be lowered to age 55, in order to cut back on the population. These shanges will hopefully increase the general level of happiness in the United Forge-worlds of Einhauser.

The Galactic Empire is, for the most part vast. The nations borders rigorously patrolled and now fully protected against the rising influence of the free world confederacy and the new upstart Sith Empire. This rapid militarisation however has provided some unforeseen benefits to the Imperial Navy, which now, thanks to the developing political situation, has some much needed time to acquire new battlefield experience…….
Within this breathing space of uneasy cold war clones are being fabricated on a grand scale, Star Destroyers and frigates constructed relentlessly and vast armies raised under the merciless economy that is provided by the perpetual money generating corporate sector, and in the centre of it all, is the Imperial capital Coruscant…. directing every ship and squad…..
Imperial Star Destroyer Poison
The shift, was, as usual, boring and tiresome. The Star Destroyer, the Imperial Navies pride and joy was, in Paels eyes, for too useful to be paraded on some stellar analysis operation, however, as with all orders originating from the Imperial Palace, there was no contesting the Emperors will.
The screens were showing the same thing they had been showing for the past two weeks, a few hydrogen atoms here, background radiation there, and some ion trails here. This region of space truly was devoid of all interest. Until something unexpected happened…..
“Captain….” The lone voice echoed from the operations pitt. “I believe we have something, it’s not natural background radiation, it’s badly deteriorated but it definitely has a pattern to it.”
“Oh?” Pael enquired, perhaps this could be a new species or nation. Maybe this trip wouldn’t be waste of time after all. “Can you pinpoint the source?”
“Well….ehh, not exactly sir, the transmission is to widely spread for an exact triangulation, however it has come from a sector close to the Gangien expanse.”
“Well, there is only one thing for it, transmit the coordinates to Coruscant and set a course, maybe someone’s at home.”
And as simple as that, Paels Imperial Star Destroyer headed towards Einhauser.

OOC: um... can I ask a couple questions?
1) What does sending an invasion fleet against me have to do with my new justice system?
2) Why the invasion at all?
Just wondering, lol.
OOC: The Star Destroyer, the Imperial Navies pride and joy was, in Paels eyes, for too useful to be paraded on some stellar analysis operation
It's not an invasion. It is a single Star Destroyer investigating an unknown nation.

OOC: I take it back, I can post now. 41 minutes into my other RP and only 1 of the 5 guys turn up...
IC: Fires raged inside the belly of the wounded Mercury class Strike Cruiser. Great rents showed in the hull, and the entire bow was missing. Half of the missile supply had detonated, fracturing the armor and bending the sleek cruiser into an awkward "V" shape. The name E.N.S.S Gallant could just be seen, chipped red letters partially burnt away from the impact of an explosive railgun round.
Still, there was some life in her. For the last month three days the vessel had been propelling itself towards the distant Einhauserian border. Unable to call for assistance because the comm relays were down, the brave crew was forced to forge ahead heedless, steering the starship from the semi-destroyed engine room.
Radiation leaked from the cracked nuclear start-up reactor, and everybody knew it. That was why when one of the crew took a grim shift to steer the vessel, they didn’t come out again.
Captain Hurc Sharoq, who had miraculously survived the destruction of the bridge by having been in the mess hall at the time, had tried to take control of the crew after the brutal decimation suffered by his ship.
"Captain, we can't go on much longer," said a young Lieutenant, his face a mess of quickly thrown together bandages and duct tape. Captain Sharoq shook his head grimly.
"We must go. We must get news of the destruction of the patrol." Everyone in the makeshift infirmary nodded. There were about 100 of them, and excluding the doomed engine room crew, were the last survivors of their patrol. They had stumbled upon a well-guarded Chaos supply column on the outskirts of the Sol system, and although they put up a desperate fight, had been wiped out.
Now they were headed back to friendly space, but would they make it?
OOC2: The political situation in Einhauser is... complicated at the moment. After the civil war, Chaos (from Warhammer 40,000) took over the Sol system, the former capitol of Einhauser. The 15 other solar systems under Einhauserian rule have formed their own country, called the united Forge-worlds of Einhauser (UFE), and it is to that country that this cruiser belongs.
