Attack from an unknown foe

Commodore Phillips squadron of ships from the fleet where conducting practices. Then coming around an island came a ship six times the size of the Invincible in length, and much larger compared to Phillips ship the Intrepid. After trying to contact the ship asking what it was doing in Yashmay waters, Phillip asked it to leave or be fired on. Met still with no success he ordered his squadron to open fire on the ship one first-rate battleship, three second-rate battleships, and five frigates opened fire with all guns. After five minutes Phillip stood shocked. The ship sat there undamaged. Then the cannons of the vessel turned, aimed at the squadron. The next thing Phillip heard and saw was a large booming sound and a bright flash of fire the second thing he heard was that of panic. Turning to see what it was about he looked in horror, there he saw the second-rate battleship Warrior in pieces. Soon after ordering his squadron into full retreat. But the ship followed even with such wind going for his fleet and the other ship with no ores or sales was moving faster…

Three hours later a man runs into Parliament and tells the government that someone has destroyed an entire Squadron of yashmay’s ships. King Hammond von Yashmay orders a message sent out to the world reading

“King Hammond von Yashmay to any Government that gets this message.

The Kingdom of Yashmay is under attack from an unknown foe please send help as soon as you can, we will be forever grateful”

OOC: Before I post ICly, I'd like to give you some tips for success here on NS. First and foremost, going by this post, you need to work on grammer. Grammer is a major part of RPing here, and alot of people will not RP with people who have bad IC grammer.

Second, spelling. That ranks up there with grammer. The "peace" you're talking about is "pieces". Peace is the diplomatic type. Also, sat, not sate ("The ship sate there undamaged.")

Other than that, you seem pretty decent w/ RPing. Ask me if ya need any more help... or any other veteran for that matter. We're always looking to help people improve upon their RPing... :)

Also, one last thing before I can reply ICly... how are you sending this message out? Surely not by radio or anything along those lines being 1800 tech... I'm assuming by ship, but you'd be sending an insane amount of ships out to get the message out somewhat timely.

Ooc: Thanks, and the message is being sent by ship, being that an entire Battle Squadron was destroyed in less than a day all Sloops-of-war and none important merchant ships have been sent out. If that is believable.

OOC: It'll be tough on you, but doable in the event that you're basically freaking out and feel you're about to be destroyed... lol It'll just take some time to get to the coastal nations... and it just so happens I'm one of them... I g2g, so tomorrow I'll post a reply, and by then it'd have given the ships enough time to reach us. :) Night!

"Sir, there's an unidentified ship entering our waters. It's not showing on the radar, but our jets are reporting it. They say it looks very old... they've tried radioing, but without any luck." reported a RAD officer.

"Try contacting it. If there's no response, send out an interceptor. Stop it, board it. If they do not stop for you, blow her out of the water." demanded Admiral Vick.

"Yes sir."

After radio contact failed, VIV Indiana was sent out to stop it. At it neared the unknown ship, it stopped directly in front of the ships path, not but three miles ahead of it. Once again, radio contact failed. Thus, over the loudspeaker system, the demand was made: Stop and let us board, or you will be destroyed.

The guns began taking aim at the ship.

OOC: I'm in a bit of a rush, so excuse the quick/crappy post...

“Captain a ship approaches!” yelled a man from the lookout station. Sure enough when captain Dewall looked forward he saw a ship, then came a voice. “Stop and let us board, or you will be destroyed”. Dewall knew his orders, and in knowing them ordered his ship to stop. Waiting for what the other ship would do next.

"Sir, they've..."
"Stopped, yes, I see that. Send out a small boarding party to scout while our ship comes port side with her. From there, we will begin a full boarding of the ship." ordered the Captain.

Within five minutes, a small boarding party of six, armed in the event of a fight, made their way to the ship on a small motor boat. In the mean time, VIV Indiana's engines began to rumble and roar to life, preparing to go alone the Port side of the strange, but compliant ship.

"Prepare the men to board. They may be dangerous. These are dangerous times, as we are in war time." the Captain warned.

Directorate Seabelt, waypoint 141-a
Somewhere in the Pacific Ocean

The cool waters of the Pacific gleamed with the light of the moon as a squadron of Transnapastani patrol vessels slid smoothly across the surface of the water. The largest vessel among them, a cruiser bearing the name TNS St Paul was in the center of the formation of destroyers and frigates, numbering 12 total ships.

These ships, along with countless others from the Transnapastani, Kaukolastani, Nailiakian, and Confederacy’s navy patrolled what had come to be called the “Seabelt.”, the massive expanse of islands and constructed bases that formed the buffer zone around the Directorate nations.

“Captain?” said an Ensign, sitting at his stations, his voice a mixture of surprise and confusion

“Yes, Ensign?” asked the Captain, standing up from his command chair

“Captain. There seems to be a vessel approaching…” He trailed off

“Ensign, you know very well that any very well that any vessel approaching will receive the automated signal and be assigned to a corridor…. is there a problem with this vessel, Ensign?”

“Well, sir, you could say that…. suffice to say, this one wont be receiving the message.” Stated the Ensign

“What?” asked the Captain?

“Perhaps you should see this, sir.”

Captain Anderson strode over to the window…and nearly dropped his Naval Academy coffee cup. He saw it…checking the instruments confirmed it. There it was…an ancient ship sailing right out of a history textbook and into the modern day Seabelt.

“Full stop, order the fleet to heave to. Umm, hail them.” Stammered the captain

“Sir?” asked the comms officer

“Uh, right. Hmmm.” He thought

“Maybe they’d understand Morris Code?” offered the XO

“Hmm, good thinking. Um, someone get up there with a LED light and blink them. Tell them to heave to, drop anchor and prepare to be boarded.

Then, um, call Command and get some diplomats out here. I think we’re about to make 1st contact with the 19th centaury.” Said the Captain

“Aye sir.” Replied the XO, as he began to issue orders. “Get someone up on deck with a pen light, and have the Sergeant Major prepare a boarding team.”

Meanwhile, on the deck of the St Paul, Petty officer 1st class Edward Barrwon stood on the bow of the ship, his LED light in hand, blinking away at the incoming ship. Specially picked for this job, having been a HAM radio operator, he was the only crewmember who knew Morris code.

“That should do it, keep repeating it.” Said the XO “Hopefully, they understand and stop.

“Sir look, they send a boat that moves faster than a Frigate, they may be capable of saving us!” it was true Captain Dewall knew as he saw the boat move that they may be the ones to save Yashmay, if anyone could that was. he didn’t even know if his King or his family was still alive. Or what had happened in the time he had left Yashmay’s waters. Soon the Boat reached the Sloop-or-War Broadsword and the people on the Boat began boarding. PACIFIC OCEAN; SOUTH-EASTERN HEMISPHERE
The Tenth Fleet, Canadian Navy

Admiral Francis Graham Kent, the Commander of the tenth fleet stood on the bridge of a Nimitz-sized aircraft carrier, Canadian Forces Naval Ship (CFNS) Esquimalt sweeped through the water.

Commander Margory Davie looked over her shoulder at the Admiral at the Communication systems, "Admiral Kent. A nation's sovereignty has been placed into jeopardy, and is requesting naval assistance immediately."

The Admiral nodded as he looked over at the Commander and quickly turned to her, "Find out the nation's coordinates."

He immediately looked over at his right hand man, Captain Sebastian DeVries, "Captain, call the flight deck to have our aircraft up in the air in fifteen minutes."

"Aye, aye sir."

"We have no 'King'. Our orders right now are purely to search this ship and clear it for the rest of the men." Alexander then signalled for the men to begin searching the ship. VIV Indiana would be side-by-side within a few minutes. "You may take up your 'message' with our Captain once he comes. He's not to happy about this." Just before Alexander walked off to help search, he stopped and took in his surroundings, and looked at the men on this ship. Who the hell do these people think they are? Columbus or something? Captain Wilhelm looked at the odd ships in front of him they where massive and had no sails. “Sir, look at that ship, the biggest one in the middle.” Said an officer at this Wilhelm saw the ship flashing lights. How do they do that, and what does it mean? He thought to himself. “Keep moving, infact move toward the ship flashing the light, we may understand what they are doing then.

Captain Dewall was slightly taken back. They had no King and where unhappy. Surly a nation as powerful as these would not be worried about one Sloop. Dewall followed the man and asked. “Why do you have no King? Do you not need a King to rule a nation?

Alexander looked behind him. What? Is he a dog now? "Excuse me? We have no King. We have a President. We're no Goddamn Monarchy!" He wished he could shoove this annoying pest off the ship, but knew his ass would be good as dead then... not by these people, but by his own superiors. "Listen... Captain. We must search this ship, make sure our own ship is in no danger. Then you can talk to our captain about your... problem or whatever." he snapped, and then turned and returned to work. Crazy people. "Look, Captain. I am sure you understand, this is my job. I must search your ship." He was extremely glad to see there were no more questions. At least for the next three minutes. The search finally concluded nearly three minutes later. "All clear." he radiod to the Indiana through a small headset he put on. The Indiana was nearly side-by-side with the small ship by now.

Two minutes later, the boarding began. And eighth person to board was the Captain. In a loud voice, which boomed in order to be heard over the loud Indiana engines, demanded, "Who is in charge here? Who's the fucking Captain here?!" Men surrounded the Captained, armed and ready to shoot at anything that moved towards them, six men total surrounding him. What is a radio... hahahah!" be bellowed from deep in his chest, "Ya, that's a good one. I must of heard you wrong. What did you say?"

The cannons on the metal warship fired two shots at the wooden ship in front of it as they blazed through the sails.

Solders massed near the beach, though terrified of the large steel that made such loud noises and dropped eggs of fire. The Solders would do there best against the attacking people as cavalry men prepared to charge and infantry got behind brick walls.

The fleet was however not in the area yet. Only the Frigate Lobo Mar was in the area, as the metal ship opened fire and cut threw the Sail the Lobo Mar cot fire and men began jumping off the edge.

“I asked you what a radio is.” Repeated Dewall who could not understand why or how the captain of this ship could laugh about something like this at a time like this.

The troops and military vehicles already on shore roared up the beach shore as multiple more aircraft supplied air support as it bombed the Yashmay strongholds on the beach.

Major Hans Breton stormed the beach with his large squad as it broke away from the group. He was incharge of the Special Forces Reconnaisance group attached to the landing force.

“I asked you what a radio is.” Repeated Dewall who could not understand why or how the captain of this ship could laugh about something like this at a time like this.
The Captain cracked up, but after about 30 seconds, he realized Mr. Dewall wasn't laughing. It took him a few seconds to completely control his laugher, trying to stop random spirts of laughing. After he calmed him self, he said, "You're serious, aren't you? Fuck, you guys live so far back in the past, it's no wonder you guys dress like those Columbo boys who thought North America was India! What a joke they were!" He then realized he was getting off track. "So, umm... you know any more about this... 'attack'? I mean, to me it sounds like all bullshit, trying to distract us."

Just then, a COMM officer stepped in. "Sir, we're getting mixed reports that other nations are having similar situations... wooden boats with no radio contact entering territorial waters." he reported. "Very good, thank you."

He turned back to Mr. Dewall. "Alright, I'm going to take you seriously. But believe me, if this is anything but what you say it is, I will assure you that you and your crew will be executed by ViZionarian forces. Is this understood?" he said, already out of his seat and heading towards the door, basically expecting a 'Yes sir' out of the man. He turned around, "So, what are you waiting for? Get your ass out of that chair and lets go. That is, if you're serious about all this and want to save your people from assured destruction." He still wasn't 100% sure, but he was going to take it seriously. "And I'll show you what a radio is later on."

As the invaders came forward, the cavalry charged pistols and sabers at the ready. Cannons fired and infantry took aim.

Dewall couldn’t understand why the these people seemed so eager to kill him and his men, but he did not ask instead he said “very well” and stood up to leave with the ships captain.

Dewall couldn’t understand why the these people seemed so eager to kill him and his men, but he did not ask instead he said “very well” and stood up to leave with the ships captain.
He called out to his men. "We've got a mission. We are to..." the Captain was cut off, "Sir! Rebels have just attacked Angola City!" reported a COMM officer, clearly out of breath from running to catch them.

"What? Attack upon our city? What the hell?" the Captain snapped back. "Hold on, Mr. Dewall. I've got to get ahold of my superiors."

Moments later, he returned. "Mr. Dewall, the Admiral has ordered that I, accompanied by four other ViZionarian ships, will be allowed to aid you. However, at this time, we've got a rebellion going on, as well as two Presidents who have been murdered in the past week, and that is ALL that can be offered. It will be 18 hours before we begin our voyage." the Captain told Captain Dewall.

Major Breton looked to his men as he glared over at the sharpshooter, "Mount your weapon, shoot the highest decorated officer in their Calvary! Squad Zulu protect the sniper from close range attacks at all costs. Squad Bravo and Delta, your with me."

The Large Special Forces Reconnaisance Group splitted as they ran up the coastline as they shot into the the crowd of Yashmayan calvary, as they began to fall to the sandy beach.

“Alright sir. Their ships have taken up position, and our fleet is on station. We’re ready to board.” Reported the XO, Commander Wells

“Right then. Get a group of marines, 4 of them, and you and I will go pay our little curiosity a visit.” Replied Captain Anderson, taking a final drag from his cigar.

“Very good sir. Shall the Marines be armed, there seem to be no hostile intent here.” Asked Wells

“I should think so, they can carry their M-8 carbines, and pistols. As for us, ceremonial swords is all, we’re going over in full dress.” Replied Anderson

“Aye Sir, I’ll just go change, then, and I’ll meet you on deck in 5 minutes.” Replied Wells, dismissing himself

Anderson was already in his dress uniform, he took it as a matter of pride to wear it as his regular duty uniform. He’d already had his aide bring him his sword, and he stood and made his way to the upper deck of the St Paul

“Captain on deck!” shouted a crewmember, and those not performing essential duties snapped to attention.

“Sir, we’ve come along side the vessel, and are prepared to extend boarding ramps.” Reported a Petty officer.

‘Good, then, we shall move once the group is assembled.” He replied

Within minutes, the marine detachment and Commander Wells were present on deck. Overheard, a UH-60 Blackhawk was circling loosely around the area, keeping an eye on the area.

Captain Anderson walked to the foot of the boarding ramp and shouted across the expanse to the other ship

“My name is Captain Anderson, of the Transnapastaini Imperial Navy. I great you in the name of the Lord, permission to come aboard?”
