Roman, WWI, and Post-Modern are where I'm voting for.
Made a poll, ignore this thread.

Future Tech, without the plasma cannons and the lasers.

Threads merged, and there is absoluetely no reason to bump a thread two minutes after the last post.
There were two threads, the poll was at the bottom, the irrelevant one at the top... thus, a reason to bump the poll...

There were two threads, the poll was at the bottom, the irrelevant one at the top... thus, a reason to bump the poll...Uh, no.
Frisbeeteria already "bumped" the thread for you by announcing the merge. From a player's perspective, it's not a good idea to bump a thread two minutes after the previous post. At the MOST, you should wait about three HOURS to bump a post, and ideally, about one full day.
When I posted the bump, he had NOT merged the threads, all I saw was the poll about to fall off, and the irrelevant one at the top. I posted the bump, and then he merged them... christ you guys get so bent out of shape over nothing.
I'd go with FT. MT is good for character RPs, but it tends to degenerate into stat-wankage when you get into a war. It also doesn't help that an awful lot of us can't comprehend the technical terms used in the tanks, aircraft and naval vessels that are built on NS. In FT, stats are rather loose, as who can say that a laser would be better than a railgun or a plasma cannon?

I'm not voting, as I think they are all good, but it depends on the person, except I doubt many people play "low techs". And since I read fantasy alot I get plenty of imagining medieval. And I won't have any futurestic games until tuesday.

modern....because in modern everyone has a chance....i have seen FT tech and some of the weapons are very, very powerful,a little bit too powerful for my taste.
also modern you know what people are talking about when tech and weapons are involved.
If you dont like the high tech stuff, and want somthing easy to understand... Ancient Tech is pretty simply.

Mix them all together! Space ships visiting primitives! Primitives throwing spears at tanks! Tanks lobbing shells at space ships! Space ships falling on modern cities! Or just create separate nations, if the idea of differing technology levels confuses you. Not that there aren't primitives co-existing on the same planet as a space-faring nation in real life, or anything.

As a former RuneQuest player I'm choosing Ancient. The lack of a technological solution forces you to actually think your way round a problem.
