The Kingdom of Voreioditika Edaphi
The Kingdom of Voreioditika Edaphi was very different from most countries. Some, were large land spanning Empires. Others were simple countries, but Edaphi, in the Greek tradition, was a City-State. Yes, over six million people lived in this grand City. It was a coastal city, reminiscent of Carthage, and since it was a city it did not need that large of an army. It was, of course, a Kingdom. A Royal Kingdom, where there was no Democracy! Bwa ha ha! Of course we're not evil, we oppress everybody equally. But that's besides point. For a long time the Kingdom has wanted trade with others, and now is the time! With King Antonious XXVII in charge of the City State, he decided to communicate with the World. But first, this!
The Royal Palace...it was Royal... and it was a Palace. It looked like the Pro Consul's Palace from Rome Total War, if you don't know how it looks like, you can suck it. He was having a meeting with his trusted advisors. The High Priest Adame, in charge of national religious affairs (the irony in this is that Edaphi was Orthodox but most of the Royal Court was pagan), Counciller Quintus Nikolaos (in charge of Foreign Affairs and Commerce), Priest Pedes Marius (in charge of the Temple of Apollo, before a grand Temple, now a small shrine), Counciller Rilder (in charge of internal affairs), Her Majesty Hellena (the wife of His Majesty Antonious), and Counciller Prince Leandros (the son of His Majesty Antonious and Hellena, also in charge of defence).
"Gentlemen!" A pause. "And honey, it is time we expand ourselves! We must, open relations." Antonious said.
The High Priest, Adame, proceeded to have one of his... visions. "Oh praise Zeus!"
"What do you see!" Said the rest of the Court, minus Quintus.
"I see... I see Athena, and she is on her horse. She's so bright, she's telling me to... suck it?"
Quintus walked over to Adame and thwapped him. "That's the sun."
"No! I almost had her!"
"Father!" said Leandros. "Tell these men to shut up."
"Silence! Anyway, Quintus Nikolaos, tell the world that we are willing to open relations. My son, review the soldiers. Rilder, check on the city. Adame, check on the temples, even the Churches. Hellena, join me to the bed. I'm tired."
As Quintus left the Royal Throne Room, he thought to himself. What were my fore fathers thinking when he came here? He then saw his bodyguard and best friend, Onassis. "Onassis, come! Today is a grand? I think it is, a grand day. We are to reveal ourselves to the world!"
Onassis shrugged and just followed Quintus towards his workplace within the Palace, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Original eh? "Right then..." Quintus said. "What to say..."
Official Statement from the Kingdom
The Kingdom of Voreioditika Edaphi would like to welcome trade negoatiations, Embassies, and peace. We are a small city state who merely wishes to increase its coffers. We have much to offer. Food, music, Greek artifacts, linen, cotton, anything of the ground we have it. We are also a coastal city so trade is much easier. Thus, we await your responses. If wish to have an Embassy, contact me. If you wish to have military negotiations, contact His Majesty Counciller Prince Leandros. If you wish to speak to the leader himself, contact His Majesty King Antonious XXVII. But he is usually busy running the city-state. We eagerly await your responses.
Quintus Nikolaos
Counciller of Foreign Affairs
Meanwhile in other parts of the city, Counciller Prince Leandros was examining the Army. "Oy..." He said to himself. "We are still using these used AK-47s from the communist occupation. Hmph, I guess we have to ask Quintus for a new assualt rifle." Ironically Quintus Nikolaos also owned Edaphi Arms Corporation, the sole arms supplier of the entire city. "They are also poorly trained, the armies of these Empires are larger, so we at least need to balance it out." A pause. "Maybe I can get new ships from Edaphi Ironworks." Edaphi Ironworks is owned by Leafus, the main competitor of Quintus.
He looked towards the coast, since the Fort that trained the Army also trained the Navy. He was disillusioned. "Bah... one small fleet of Frigates. Disgusting, Nikolaos does not deal with ships so we need to order a fleet or two. At least the air force is decent enough..." The air force was decent, there were SAMs protecting the outer walls of the city (yes this city still has stone walls) and the air force would do its job decently, still, Leandros was worried. "Hmm... I wonder what the King and Adame is doing."
Well, we already know what the King is doing so let's go to Adame. "Bah!" He said to himself. "The Gods are shunned by these people! It was Athena who told the first King to found the City, it was Hephaestus who gave us wealth, it was Apollo who protected us! I will make this city worship the Gods again.. even if it means a few deaths." He shrugged. "Bah..."
Anybody got a region I can go to? I'll probably just take a point up.
