Niue, Wallis, and Futuna were all but forgotten during the recent colapse of Zeeeland. Until two weeks ago, many of the islands' inhabitants were entirelly unaware that the empire had fallen. Citizens began to worry when their monthly shipments of freshwater and preserved meats did not arrive. In response, the mayors of the islands have asked the international community for assistance.

Bjornoya quickly responded, sending out three freighters, and diverting supplies that were headed to Antarctica. The leaders thanked Bjornoya for its generosity, but worried if the supplies would come in time.

Wallis reported during its announcement it only had 10% of its fresh water supply, and the citizens were beggining to panic. As a precaution, Bjornoya sent peacekeeping troops in case the situation had grown out of hand by the time they got there.

Negotiations have already started between the Bjornoyan government and the mayor of Niue to grant the island a protectorate status. Bjornoyan Foreign Relations depatment head Elizabeth Dycovich stated in a message to the press, "Our hearts go out to the citizens of these islands. The collapse of Zeeeland has left these people in an akward state, with no nation to call home. These islands isolation does not help them either. Hopefully, through the chaos, our two peoples can create something new and better."

The Emperor of Kreynoria swore loudly. Different nations were claiming land left and right, especially the ones Kreynoria desired. First Cotland in Namibia, then the Macabees in New Caledonia, and now, Bjornoya was taking steps that might lead to occupation of Niue, Wallis, and Futuna. The Emperor sent a message to Bjornoya stating that it was Kreynoria's intent to govern, protect, and supply the islands of Niue, Wallis, Futuna; in other words, they would become territories of Kreynoria.

Bjornoyan message to Kreynoria:

We intend to maintian our shipment of much needed food, water, clothing, and other necessities to the islands of Niue, Futuna, and Wallis.

Regarding fate of these islands: Since the collapse of Zeeeland, we have seen throughout the world violent and bloody wars erupt over these claims. Cotland is currently engaged with Kreynoria in French Polynesia. It is with the safety of the islands citizens that we make this proposal, the Federal Government of Bjornoya believes the citizens of these islands should determine, in an open election, the sytem of government and with it which nation they shall call home.

During the election, neither nation shall move troops within the islands' territory, and until the elections are over.

Bjornoyan peacekeeping troops will remain offshore, and only be deployed if one of the islands falls into civil disorder.

The Allied States of Celtayoshi hereby declares its support for a Bjornoya government of the territories of Niue, Wallis, and Futuna. The claims by Kreynoria over the islands must be ignored by the Bjornoya government, or else they face being bullied out of the islands.

We are allowed to jointly control a territory. Want to share it between us :) ?

Meaning we share the islands. We jointly protect, govern, and supply the islands. The islands are bilingual with both our official languages. Would you want to do that or just the Niue vs. Wallis & Futuna split?

I think the split would be easier. You win the Niue election, and I'll win the other two.
Otherwise we'd have to set up a hybrid government, along with negotiating trade and military matters.

The elections staged in Niue culminated in a 79% to 21% victory for Kreynoria, and in Wallis and Futuna, an 82% to 18% victory victory for Bjornoya. The ports on all three islands would be open to merchant and damaged shipping from the other nation. A convoy of 6 freighters, escorted by a single frigate, set out from the Solomons and docked in the port on Niue. Vital supplies of food, water, clothing, and fuel. Workers also arrived to begin improving the island's infrastructure. Goals included the improvement of the island's road network, construction of a small airport, radar center, army base, and low-cost housing for the inhabitants. Also, the port is being enlarged and a small shipyard is being built.
