OOC: before I get this started I would just like to say a few things. First please try and keep this within the realm of Mt since my nation is an Mt nation. Second the thread is open for now, but if dogpiling becomes a problem then I will close it. Third I will be rping the rebel side as the nation of New Sans Rebels (for the anti Ankhmet side) to avoid confusion. Also the OCC: thread is here (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=443068) Now to let the fun begin.

It had been a long day for Daniel, he had signed away the sovereignty of his nation, and now even though he sold his soul for protection still had some measure of his former power. He wasn’t displeased about this, sure some nations had announced an embargo of the province, but he didn’t care, he was still rich and living well.

Of course not everyone took the news of losing a good deal of their power, and stature in New Sansian society, but why should he care, he had the nation of Ankhmet able to do what was once his job, and he was grateful for that, “Such is the fate of a dictator.”, he sighed to himself. Still there were a few jobs he needed to do, meet with some of his former generals to discuss their resignation from the New Sans military and perhaps even give them a positing in the provincial militia, if he felt like it.

“Now who am I supposed to meet first?” he muttered to himself as his eyes scanned his planner. “Oh God, not him of all the people not him.” he thought to himself sinking back into his chair as a man dressed sharply in military garb entered the chamber flanked by two aides, “Hello General Gorian.” Daniels said politely.

General Jacob Gorian was never a casual man, preferring to be formal at most, if not all times. Famous for getting the job done no matter what the cost, no matter what he had to use, or how high the casualties involved as long as he got a medal and he had gotten quite a bit of them. He wasn’t thrilled with the decision to renounce his nations sovereignty in fact he was quite pissed off, “Give up our country to a nation full of dogs will you.” he mumbled as he was walking to the former High Councilman’s chambers.

It was a tense situation in the chamber, both men not particularly thrilled to see the other. “General, I believe you know why I called you here.” Daniels spoke as he rose from his chair and walked towards a window, “You are to resign your position in the military and hand over command of your forces to me beginning immediately.” smirking as the words left his lips.” General Jacobs looked at him for a moment, “No. Quite frankly I’m disappointed in the job you’ve been doing Daniels, handing our nation to the dogs just for security, and well I’m sorry but you’re fired.” “What do you…..”, the sentence was cut off by the echoing roar of General Jacobs’ revolver.

General Jacobs looked at the body slumped on the flood smiling wryly as he turned to his aide, “Call a press conference, the country is mine.”

We interrupt your regularly scheduled programming for a breaking news bulletin. Moments after the coup d'état instituted by General Jacob Gorian after he had deposed the former leader of the province of New Sans, Nathan Daniels chaos has broken out. The coup is rumored to have begun thanks to the cessation of New Sans sovereignty and the beginning of troop movements by the Ankhmet government into the province.

This just in, in the bay city of Myran we are having reports of naval ships firing on one another in attempts to break away from the fleet stationed there…..so far one battleship has been sunk, and two destroyers as well with an undisclosed number of ships fleeing the port. Reports of military units abandoning their posts or attempting to meet up with their respective forces have been pouring in through out these last hours.

There is no order here, everyone is for themselves trying frantically to survive. Police forces in several major cities have been unable to stem the tides of looting, and violence erupting from gang warfare as the province slips more and more into anarchy. So far the total dead is 1,500 civilians, an undisclosed number of soldiers, and steadily is rising.

So far General Gorian has been consolidating his power and has attempted to stop the anarchy and regain control of the province but has largely been unsuccessful due to the efforts of General Minér who has rallied the pro Ankhmet forces within the military and begun to resist resulting in civil war and mass panic. Power and water have been cut to several cities, including Oldton and Bronton. We now take you live to the residential district of Oldton to our in the field reporter Derrick Kiks, Derrick.

The climate in New Sans is mainly tropical, storms are common and the eventual hurricane makes its way through the former country. Rain Forests are lush where they appear and are home to many species of animals.

On to the military that will be used by myself in this RP. Since the coup two main forces have appeared, the pro Ankhmet forces led by General Minér, and the forces of General Gorian who seek to break ties with Ankhmet and return New Sans’ sovereignty. As a result of the chaos following the coup the military of the nation is highly disorganized, and many have up and deserted the armed forces. So here is a breakdown of what each side has.

General Minér’s forces: as of now based in the area around the city of Myran.

Army: the 1st, 4th, and 5th divisions (12, 000 to a division) have rallied behind General Minér and are attempting to maintain order while waiting for Ankhmet forces to aid them. (basic equipment, ak-47s, rpgs, sniper rifles, grenades, ect.) total of 36, 000 soldiers including logistics.

Mechanized units: New sans had never been much in the way of tanks, however General Minér managed to procure 200, of the 450 Zanz model tanks (think Chinese Type 51 tanks), 150 M6 Bastille armored personnel carriers (M2 Bradley’s for specs), 45 XM65 Catapults ( M109A6 PALADIN for specs reference) and 35 M13 Innocence (M270 MLRS for specs)

Air force: Due to the lack of any major military airports and funding towards the
Air force only 39 MiG-27, and 35 MiG-25 were procured for use. (both are spread out among the carrier forces)

Navy: 8 Bolt class carriers (Nimitz class for referance), 18 Far Reach class destroyers (Arleigh Burke class for reference), and 5 Mighty class battle cruisers (Iowa class for reference)

General Gorian’s forces: As of now based around the city of Frenton.

Army: The 3rd, and half of the 6th and 7th divisions have rallied behind General Gorian and are attempting to regain control of their country and return it’s sovereignty. (basic equipment, ak-47s, rpgs, sniper rifles, grenades, ect.) total of 24,000 soldiers including logistics.

Mechanized units: General Gorian managed to procure 235 of the Zans model tanks, 98 M6 Bastille armored personnel carriers, 50 XM65 Catapults, and 50 M13 Innocence.

Air Force: 30 MiG-27, and 40 MiG-25 were procured for use. (spread out among carriers)

Navy: 5 Bolt class carriers, 14 Far Reach class destroyers, and 7 Mighty class battle cruisers).

Nations of the world we come to you asking assistance in putting down the rebellion that has occurred. They have caused so much chaos and destruction we only wish to return to normalcy and our provincial state that we were before this crisis reared it’s head.

Our nation faltered with a corrupt leader who sold our lands to the forces of Ankhemt for protection and safety while we were under their yoke. We greatly appreciate any aid given for our noble cause in beating back opression and restoring freedom.

Upon the instigation of the rebellion in New Sans, an Executive Order was given allowing FEMA to use all of it's considerable power. As such, a list of 20,000 people in Ankhmet and the Provinces has been drawn up, and people on that list will be taken to labour camps where they can benefit the Empire.
All those who had positions of high rank in the old provincial armies are hereby invited to lead the troops they once led, as generals of the Eternal Guard. They will be given full priveledges as Ankhmeti soldiers.

The command staff at the Ankhmeti HQ in New Sans were nervous. They new that this rebellion would be the excuse that many nations wanted to invade the Empire, and they would act on it. Thankfully, Ankhmet was still in the UNA, so troops from the UNA were expected to bring aid. However, this was not counted on.
Within minutes of the news that others would be joining in, a force of 10,000 men was dispatched from the base at Port Kheper, bound for disembarking at a stretch of beach on the northern section of the island. From there they would head south to reinforce the capital. F-22 Raptors were being used to patrol the area, and B2-B stealth bombers were being launched to bomb rebel targets. A squadron of B-52 bombers was loaded up with 'daisy cutters', and was moving to hit the rebel positions, regardless of civilian cost.

Offical Confederacy of Economic Associates Response

Ladies and Gentlemen of the international community this recent developement requires a delicate reaction. Wars are always horrible things and Civil wars are even more so. Neither side truely wins when brothers fight brothers, fathers against sons, and families are devided. In a situation like this more then just military might must be used. Diplomacy and Humanitarian aid are essential to a stoping of the conflict and returning this country to normalcy. We are asking both sides of the conflict as well as Ankhmet to allow international aid to be distributed to citizens of New Sans.

We shall relay the message to any military men, and thank you for the aid in removing these animals from our land. Our forces have secured the capital city for now and all seems quite, but we don't expect it to last long.

Things were quiet, too quiet for General Minér's taste. Gorian was not a man to waste time and an offense if any would most likely begin before any troops reached them. But with the impending aid from Ankhmet he would soon be able to crush these rebels.

He sighed quietly to himself looking out a window as one of his advisors entered the room. "General we have recieved some intelligence as to the rebels position. They appear to have holed up in the Allonton district, but we don't know their exact position."

"Good at least we have a rough scetch of something, I'll notify the Ankhmeti when I get the chance, you're dissmissed."
