Green Hell - ('Nam-like rp. Open to good MT roleplayers) [15 Rating]

OOC: Think 'Nam. I'm making an attempt at writing in the First Person,
as it worked well for Gav Thorpe.

This is grim and green. There is no such thing as funny. Only irony.

IC:

Green. Nothing but fucking green for the next six months of my life.

I am Unteroffizier Emil Dresner, of the Verghastan 14th Fallschirmjäger Legion, and I hate everyone I know who's still alive. I hate that fuckhead, Generalfeldmarschall Nachtmann, for sending me here and earning more for doing less.
I hate Leutnant Weiss for being a clockwork soldier.
I hate Feldwebel Brunstein for being a fat, manipulative ****, and for stealing my skag. I'll bet he's used it all by now.
I hate my squad for being either absolute pussies, or rambo impressionists. They've been quieter since Herst and Munstel got ripped up by a hidden MG nest. Fuckwits.

I and my remaining two troopers were stuffed into the back of an APC this morning, alongside another five men who I'd never seen before in my life. Their NCO, some Urelian ex-grit miner named Stavlov, sold me a teenth of solid for forty marks. Bastard...

-----

My rifle in my left, and a joint in my right. Around me, the slant-eyes burn inside their huts. I light up from the smouldering corpse of a child, it's clothes burnt away. It must have been nailed by the APC gunner as we entered the village, a fist-size hole in the torso and a missing arm betraying heavy-cal auto-fire.

I've seen this too many times to give a fuck any more. I've served five tours in this shithole of a country, and I see this every four days at least. Stavlov zaught a pistol bullet in the neck when we unloaded, some mad bitch screaming at him in whatever-it's-called as she fired off. One of his troopers gunned her down on burst, and I stripped the last of Stav's solid from his pockets as he spat his last over my hands.

With him bleeding out, Stav's squad got dumped on me. They look pretty green apart from Kahler, the plus-one. He's been here three tours, and knows the tricks. He has good reflexes, too. That helps here, where the first shot can often be the last.

Some of the foliage is catching the flames, but it'll be too damp to go far. I clamber back into the APC, which now has a puddle of chunder next to the gunner's tower. Some people can't take the smell. I finish off the last of my joint, and give the driver a shout. We start back to HQ as the last bamboo huts fall in on themselves, and forty-three bodies, young and old, male and female, are left behind...

OOC: Right, story is that a Verghast security team was tracking down a group of terrorists who failed in an attempt to indiscriminately kill large numbers of citizens. These terrorists were sponsored by the newly-instated military government of Tiếng Việt, which sent guys to take out the team. They were shot and strung up like meat. War was declared shortly after, on the charge of hiding and supplying this terrorist group, and the air offensive began.
The conflict has now dragged on for three and a half years, and this rp will follow it's last days. Feel free to join in, but if you're planning on siding with Tiếng Việt and want to openly commit military forces, I would prefer that we did a short bit of intel-rp so that your intent can be discovered. Alternatively, you can just claim war on grounds of 'Verg started it, the bastard'.
Current Verghast military losses for three and a half years of jungle warfare amount to fifteen thousand, four hundred and ninety two (15,492). Native losses are unknown, but believed to be fractionally higher.

No n00bs, no three-line rp'ers, and please, no huge forces. This is a relatively small-scale rp, and I would appreciate you keeping forces below 100,000. As the aggressor, and main participant, I will allow myself forty Legions (40x4,959=198,360). Tiếng Việt has practically unlimited personnel, but with the America-Vietnam population ratio of 1965 I work out theirs to be 163,000,000 (Rounded up).

ALSO. This is based a little way in the past, so no big 'Let's kill Verg!' things, please.

im an FT nation, but thats really only my space forces. My ground troops use Plas-Lite rifles (basicly a futeristic version of Armor Peircing rounds) but thats about all the FT they have. can i join? my troops could be on a scouting mission when they are attacked by the, whatever that vietcong like enemy was.

OOC: Alright, but keep it reasonable, NM. Due to the tech difference (Spaceships, for example) I'll limit you to 60,000 ground troops. Also, don't go orbital bombardment on us or anything. Not saying that it's likely, but I want to make it clear.

"Aa, I can't believe Verghastinsel is STILL in that useless war with those Viet-Bastards." The Kaiser rolled his eyes and sighed, as he sat on his big, comfortable chair with the War Flag of Kaiser Martens behind him http://www.geocities.com/kaisermartens/KMK.jpg , while his advisors sat in their own comfortable chairs, but of course never as imponent as the one Kaiser had.
"No man's land, there's no profit and hence no point in continuing this. It's a waste of troops and resources. I've always said it, I always will."
Then, the Foreign Affairs Advisor, Erich Loss, interrupted. "Yes I know, Mein Kaiser, but because of the Silberunion's policy, we must continue to help. Of course, we shouldn't send too many troops there..."
Martens spoke, "Yes. One last batch of troops and that's it. I can't just go around having my soldiers die for nothing. General, what do you propose?"
General Sassmanshausen spoke next, "Let us send 70.000 troops, Mein Kaiser. As you know, the place is mostly jungle. Our troops are not used to that type of place, but from our experience with the previous batch of troops, we have successfully trained some 30.000 troops especially for what is needed. 30.000 more will be regular Soldaten. We'll give them quick training and hope they'll get used to the conditions. The remaining 10.000, can either be Sturmpioneere or from your SS Leibstandarte."
Kaiser shook his head. "I'm not having my Einherjar fight for a lost cause, especially if I'm not with them, and I'm definately not going into some disgusting jungle. I'd rather be freezing at the gates of Moscow anyday."
General, "Then Sturmpioneere it'll be."
Martens, "You heard the General." He said to Colonel Karew standing nearby. He saluted. "Jawohl Mein Kaiser!" and headed off to make the preparatives.
"This whole matter irritates me. I'm gonna get tired and nuke the damn place to hell. Who cares about some gottverdammten jungle. Ach. Send a message to Verghastinsel, in 22 days, our troops will be there." He said then to his intercommunicator to his Office, and also to those there present. He then stood up and so did everybody else, saluting. He saluted briefly in dismissal. "Do all what you have pending for today and then you get a day off. We've been under a lot of tress lately..." And he walked off. "Danke, Mein Kaiser." One said...

(OOC: Just call me Viet Teng for short)

This would be his fourth sleepless night, he was alone his entire troop missing, this meant that he would have to take point day in and day out, it had tested his patience and his courage, the sun was just setting and there was just enough light to check out a Teng village, he half expected the sounds of children and women, but he snapped to and remembered why he was here, the Children were all dead and the women gone, most probably off to be raped, he flinched at the thought, a tear strolled down his eye as he looked straight into the eyes of a child, a bullet had blown a hole in the poor kid's head, suddenly he dropped and pointed his gun, he could hear somthing, crying, he had to investigate and so he crawled, AK-47 at the ready, towards the harrowing sound, a child, a survivor? He got up and pushed open a door into a hut, behind was a girl huddled into the corner, she barely spoke as he walked over to her "it's alright!" He attempted to comfort her "it's all over now" this was not working "please, come with me." He pleeded and offered his hand to her, it didn't work, he would need to find a location soon, it was getting too dark for this, he sighed as he grabbed the girl by the waist and slung her over his shoulder, she began to kick and scream, if the Verg bastards would hear this then they'd both be dead, he dropped her onto the ground and stuffed a piece of reg into her mouth, such was the tradgedy of this war.

The whole company's trudging our way through the shattered bones of a 'Teng city. Whole blocks of flats lie empty. Sniper's paradise.
Artillery shook this place to it's guts half hour ago, and the dust is still settling. My squad sticks to the walls, just like training.

I call to one of Stav's troopers, "Hey, you" motioning forwards. "Take point. Twenty"

The unlucky one makes his way forward, and the rest of my squad makes way, as though the bad luck which chose him could rub off for next time. He clambers up a pile of rubble, and I marvel at his stupidity. A sudden burst of fire, and we all dive. The pointman was hit in the knee, and fell forward, back down the rubble. His face smashed against concrete, and blood sprayed, mixed with teeth. The gurgling cry which escaped his lips is the only other sound as I call up armour over the radio.

-----

Five minutes, and we had a mobile 105mm cannon blasting away at the tower blocks. The commander opened up with his pintle-mount fifty, knocking chunks from the concrete, and smashing double-glaze. Another one of Stav's squad ran to the pointman and dragged him clear. His left cheekbone had splintered and pierced the eye. He'll probably bleed out before he got back to med. I grabbed the legs, and another trooper holds his arms as we shift the man atop of the Panzer's track guards. He'd shat himself when the bullet hit, and the smell clung like fucking anything.
We push on, and ten minutes pass before HQ confirms the death...

OOC: Storyness.

*Martens was no longer surpised to see Elvi walking along the corridor as he left the room, she had an uncanny knack of being there every time a decision to mobilise troups had to be made.
She feigned innocence as she saw him watching her aproaching, smiles her crooked smile at him and pecks him lightly on the cheek.*

"So you're sending 70 thou in then? Generous under the circumstances, good men and women wasted if you ask me."

*She stands and waits as the personel leave the room and walk past them and then continues.*

"If you want I could tag on a 'few' of the lads to help with your less experienced units? They have had experience in all terains."

*She frowns, her brow furrowing under her fringe.*

"Mind you, I'm not prepared to send more than a thou per ten thou of yours, but we have to show willing don't we....."

I took a drag on my cigarette and savoured the sour and bitter flavour. My thoughts drifted off to Cathy, what she was doing now and how I wish i could sleep with her now, with her petite body writhing beneath me....

"Hey Joe quit stoning man!"

"What the hell is it this time, Van Klinken?"

"You heard about it? Word's going around that we're going to Tiếng Việt man!"

I immediately straightened up. "Now, why the fuck do they want us there?"

"Anti-communism policy shit, they said-"

He was interrupted by the message over the speakers. "Attention all soldiers of the 1st Aqsa Brigade. Please proceed to the multi-purpose hall for a mass briefing."

I threw my cigarette butt on the ground and stepped on it. "That's us. C'mon Van Klinken, we're going to war."

The sound of trees rustling in the wind woke him up, he had slept for the first time in 4 days he had finally refreshed, the small girl was huddled up next to a tree, she was still, and a damnsite quieter than lastnight, he nudged her awake, she did not move, he shook her, still nothing, she was gone, another casualty, was this war worth all this bloodshed? Probably not but he couldn't stand to see the pig dog Verg's over-run his homeland, he pressed on up North deeper into Teng territory.

He blinked at Elvi, expecting that something like that would happen... "You're always behind my back, aren't you? Fine, if you send some of yours, then it is a valid excuse for me to send less people in there. Which would be the new numbers then...?" He asked her, with a little smile, which was common when she was around. A hand slipped into his pocket. "I just hate this business. But if we expect Verghast to help back when we're in trouble someday, we have to help them. You know, politics. I do hate to have my guys die in that hässlich jungle." He shook his head and sighed, awaiting her next answer.

"I prefer to be thought of as at your side dearest.
At your back sounds as though I've got a dagger out ready and I wouldn't do that to my Marty would I?"

*The two side step and stand near to the wall to allow a group of soldiers to pass without having to walk around them, she leans against the wall her arms folded.*

"Lets just make this easy shall we?
I'll sustitute 7 thou of my skirmishers for your youngest men. We'll give them a chance to do something with their lives before they have to chuck it away on yet another pointless exercise that we've been dragged into shall we?"

*Elvi nods to an officer as he walks past her following him with her eyes.....*

"Don't send him Marty, it's not his time yet", she mumbles almost to herself.

OoC: at first ill just use 100 troops to start. i wont go crazy. my nation didnt start FT, and when it was just a fledgling (14 million) it was attacked by an FT nation. so i wont go crazy or anything.

IC: The Raptor Class Transport flew over the dense jungle. In cockpit was the 4 pilots, and the Group Commander, Major Frank Williams. The raptor was on a regular scouting mission, and packed 100 troops in back, 'just in case' as the ship designer had put it. The raptor had no weapons except the troops onboard.

"We are commencing scanning, Major."
"Good. How many planets have you scouted out, Leiutenant?"
"Um... this will be the seventh."

The Major laughed. "Seven. wow. wait until youve seen as many as I have. Over four hundred. twelve of them with humans, 2 with intellegint, non-human races."
"Wow, sir. 400. i mean really. wow."
A peircing siren split the air in the cockpit. The Major stared. "Weapons warning. Leiutenant! Evasive manuvers!"
The leuitenant had just started to turn when the Shoulder Mounted Rocket hit the Raptor. The raptor shuddered, then all electrical systems died.
"Troops!" the major yelled. "Brace for impact!"

the raptor slammed into the ground, ripping through the jungle canopy. As it came to a stop, the Major looked up. They seemed to have surveved. He looked into the troop cabin. Well, most had survived, anyway...

OoC: I was thinking that the ship would have crashed in front of a Verghastinsel base or entrenchment or something like that.

Chu Chung walked into the large empty room under the ground, twenty of his closest luetenants were with him, "Gentlemen, our strength is wayning, the Verg's close in on us, and we have no foreign support, but we will never consider surrender, every inch of tiếng Việt land we surrender we will make the Verg pay with a thousand soldiers, Luetenant Huang, I understand that we plan to double our tunnel networks?" Chung asked, this was true and he knew so, but it was a dirty habit that he had picked up from the Teng grunts, Huang confirmed with a "yessir." Chung was happy, he had responded in a way that Chung had expected him to respond "I want it trippled!" He shouted back, he knew that the Verg's would not be expecting attacks in lands that they had already taken, "Tell more tales of Verg hostility spare no gory detail!" He ordered the rest of the Luetenants who then began to immediatly buzz around sorting things and talking to lower ranking officers.

Oh, just made it.

I walked along the line of transports, warming their engines. 5 hours ago our company's commander had told us we were going to Tiếng Việt, some place that was supposed to resemble Vietnam. Perfect. Just perfect...
*4 Hours later*
The roar of the engines drowned out everyone's chatter. The captain of our group was desperately trying to give us orders. He finally gave up, his voice hoarse. Suddenly gunfire began coming up, probably from enemy AA batteries.
Tracers flew along the jet's side, and the sound of bullets pinging off filled the cabin. Suddenly a deafeing explosion could be heard, from somewhere beyond the wall across from me. My ears were ringing as one of the flight crew came in to report they had lost power to the starboard engines, and that our wing was on fire. Troopers turned white, and the sergeant cursed. More bullets slammed into the sides, and a weak spot in the side gave in. Bullets began ripping into the skin around it, and bullets were bouncing around the room. A man fell down, cushioned by his gear and the other troopers. "We're going down!" Yelled the man who had come in, just before the plane went into a nose dive. I dropped my gun and gripped anything I could find, trying to brace myself. A sudden jar, accompanied by the sound of twisting metal and mini explosions, knocked me down, right before I slammed my head into the bulk...

OOC: I was thinking maybe it could crash next to a Tiếng Việt position, and them have my guy wake up as your guys attack... Or not, your choice.

The Spizanian troops landed today, with an obvious need to impress. Thousands of helicopters disgorged scores of thousands of soldiers and supplies. Word is they're being billeted at Cheun Si Mun, one of the largest cities in the Verghast-controlled sector.

I have a bet running with Kahler that fifteen will be dead by tomorrow morning from cutthroats, overdoses and the 'Teng who still live in that town.

Kahler says thirty.

General Rickard Danislau, Operational Commander of the close to three-and-a-half year fight for Tiếng Việt, sat slouched in a folding chair in the designated HQ building, a half-pint bottle of cheap vodka in his hand. He wore no cap, and no jacket. His only marks of rank were stamped into the ID disks around his neck.

He took another swig, and a man dressed in combat fatigues walked through the open doorway and into his darkened hideaway. Danislau fumbled at his pistol, draped from one arm of the chair, and raised it level with the newcomer.

"Fuck off", he rasped.

-----

Marching orders came through last night. Unidentified aircraft shot down west of Cheun Si Mun, and our platoon are the lucky ones who have to stumble around the jungle to look for it.

Leutnant Weiss requisitioned three open-top five-ton trucks for us, all of them barely more than rust. We set off at 0800, and the two-hour drive became a four when the clouds broke. Mud roads are hell when there's water around, and the lack of canvas over our heads didn't help the mood.

The Leutnant's voice crackled over the radio, signalling our arrival at the coordinates and we piled out, boots sinking inches into the mud.

"Spread out!" I called.

I woke up, to find our company spread out around the downed jet. Medics were roaming around, helping different people who had been hurt in the crash. "How long was I out?" "About 3 hours." I got up off the cot, and walked around. A young and pale trooper was running about, carrying buckets full of water, ammo boxes, and the occasional machinegun. His nametag bore the name 'Hillman'. I walked around, carrying crates of ammo and weapons, until the captain came up. "I need you to take your squadron, and patrol the area. Trix will bring up his squadron as well to back you up. Good luck." I sighed, and returned the salute he gave me. Walking back to my troopers, I told them what we were going to do. Gathering their weapons and packs, we set out. Mosquitos were flying about, giving new meaning to the phrase "Eaten Alive". We pushed on, hoping we wouldn't run into the enemy...

... There they were, just two clicks from this point, they looked and smelt like Verg's, no doubt they were aiding the bastards, Kalashnikov at the ready Huang slowly backed off, now was not the time, at night we would have the full power of surprise to fight off any invader.

----------

Full in force Huang returned, he was accompanied by four others and somwhere in the bushes there were 3 more groups of 5, a full blown attack would be futile and would no doubt result in the death of his entire team, and so they waited for the right time, when one enemy would give away their position by lighting up a ciggarette or turning on a flashlight...

I walked at the front, just behind the Point Man. Poor guy; Everyone knows the point man will be the first to go. A twing snapped, and I wheeled. Everyone stood stock still. No one had moved their feet. A chill went down my spine - We were not alone out here. I quietly turned around, and turned off the safety on my assault rifle. Ever so quietly, the squadron moved on.

Huang stopped dead, the twig crumpled under his foot, slowly he lifted his shoe and trod slowly onwards, he thought to himself "If we are going to ambush them best we do it now before they reach an enemy base-camp." He stopped and kneeled, he could see the moons light hitting upon somthing, he raised his Kalashnikov and pressed hard on the trigger, within seconds the other 19 men were firing full pelt into this invisible enemy.

The Point Man, unexpectedly, was untouched by gunfire. 5 men went down, and the rest began firing at what muzzle flashes they could see. Slugs slammed into trees, leaves, and vines. I popped the pin on a flashbang, and let it fly. Closing my eyes and covering my ears, along with the rest of the squadron, I waited for the explosion. Bang. I picked up my AR-15, and began firing into a group of bushes that looked suspicious. The radioman sat next to a tree, flanked by two soldiers. He was yelling into the radio, calling for help, reinforcements, anything. "Where is that other squadron," I thought desperately, reloading my gun.
Spooty
12-09-2005, 19:02
The Flashbang went off a few yards away from Huang, he was thrown to the ground by one of his team who was blinded in the attack, a tradgedy but not important right now, He grabbed his Kalashnikov and began to fire randomly into the vines, firing into muzzle flashes and anything that may have been an enemy, Huang wasn't quite sure whether he was winning or losing but he would fight for his country even if he was losing, his Kalashnikov jammed unexpectidly and so he threw it to the ground and retrieved the AK from his comrade who had began to into shock, he continued to fire off rounds into the darkness.

A spizanian radio operator aboard a scarab transport helicopter heard the screams for help come down the radio from some SkyCapt squad under attack from the rebels, this man had been to VSI had seen the horrors the parthians had inflicted but this sounded even worse, he spoke calmly into the radio, "This is bravo foxtrot one two Alpha, receiving your transmissions and we are inbound, ETA five minutes over, please respond", he waited aas the eight helicopters of the platoon turned south towards the source of the radio transmissions.

"Sir," the radioman yelled to me, "Sir, a Spizanian chopper is inbound, ETA is 5 minutes. I think other choppers are with it." "Good," I returned. I then yelled out that reinforcements are coming. This seemed to give my men new vigour, and they began firing like madmen.

"You have any smoke grenades? I need you to mark out a ring around your troops so we can lay down some cover." Said the radioman into headset, "We got over two hundred pounds of napalm and 6 fully loaded miniguns here, well lay down cover and well land the infantry platoon adn start medivacing casualities on our medivac choppers"

OOC: Inbound forces:
3 Rocket/ Twin minigun armed Firesupport helicopters
2 Scarab Infantry transport helicopters (30 men each) one broadside minigun and twin forward .50cals
3 Scarab Medivac Helicopters (10 stretchers and 20 walking wounded) unarmed

The unique sound of the Russian made weapons was dying, it was being slowly replaced by the near constant stream of bullets from a decently made weapon, this could mean only that Huang's men were dying, a loss though it was there were still millions more to follow, and even if the Verg's did break through they would still have to fight like dogs to get back into friendly Verg territory, a sudden heated sensation sent Huang screaming to the ground, a bullet had struck him in the arm, he grimaced at the pain as the last Kalashnikov trailed off.

"Comrade!" Yuan walked into the room, the luetenant was sitting smoking a cheap Russian made cigar, "Waht is it?" He asked turning on the spot "Comrade, we have intercepted radio transmissions that indicate a Verg presence 6 miles south of here, another transmission indicated that help was on the way, comrade, our boys are fighting them! Comrade, if we do not assist tham then they will die!" Yuan pleaded with the luetanant to save his comrades "take twenty men from here, you will lead them into the fire!"

I looked over my men. 12 were left. Suddenly it sounded like a truck was coming through the jungle. It couldn't be the enemy. Sergeant Trix and his squadron ran into the little clearing we had made with our weapons. Reinforcements had arrived.

"Land the troops help secure the posistion" Barked the leuitenant incharge of the patrol. The helicopters landed and men piled out and spread out amognst the SkyCapt troops on the groudn, quickly followed by medics who jumped out of the Medivac choppers as soon as they landed, the fire support choppers circled overhead, waiting for the enemy to reveal their posisitons to the helicopters.

"Enemy helicopters!" A private whispered to Yuan, he squinted and could just see over the forest canopy, the flickering bar of a helicopters roter blades "get the RPG up here." Yuan whispered back, he could hear the whisper being passed back until a man walked to the front "do you see that hill?" Yuan asked, of course everyone could see the hill and there was no doubt that the RPG could also, "climb that hill, quietly, take another two men with you, you three, get the attention of the enemy helicopters and then run back to the RPG." It sounded like a simple plan and barring any mass complication it looked as though it would go without a hitch.

"Movement!, three men, there not in allied uniforms, spin up the cannons, inform 2 to stay wiht us and 3 to stand guard," The Copilot peered into the rangefinder and called "range 312 yards", he leened over and turned a handle until the adjuster on the minigun sights read 310, yelled "clear" and the commander fired three - second bursts at the men he could see

The bullets ripped through one of the men, the other two turned and bolted towards the hill, they were gripped by panic and fear as they sped towards the RPG, another hail of fire tore up another of the men, last man standing, the hope that the RPG is ready is racing through his head, please let it be done, the final burst and the last man is down.

Upon the hillside the three men are now in clear view of the enemy helicopter, a perfect shot settup by the men on the ground, but there is no time for the contemplation of the shot, with a sharp pull on the trigger the Rocket flies out into the clear skies...

"RPG!" yells the pilot as he jerks the stick back and autorotates to attempt to avoid the missile, the missile hits the front starboard of the helicopter..
and doesnt go off, the poorly built russian missile just sits there smouldering in the side of the chopper, the crew cheer and put down at the LZ to make repairs and to remove the explosives, helicopter number 2 lines up on the men around where the RPG was launched and lets fly a long burst from its miniguns.

"DAMN!" Juan shouted out, he was aware that this would very likely give away his position but that didn't matter right now, "all soldiers fire on the Helicopters!" He shouted out, there may still be a chance to take down at least one of the enemy, the sun had began to rise as the Teng soldiers opened fire on the Helicopters.

The Fire wrapped itself around a large portion of Yuan's troops, this was futile, he had entered combat in order to save the lives of 20, and he in turn risked the lives of 100, he summed the difficult decision over in his head, retreat and face humiliation, stay and face Death, "RETREAT! FALL BACK!" He shouted across the jungle as soldiers fell from cannon fire, a bullet smashed into Yuan's left eye, he screamed in agony as the bullet pierced into his brain, an instant later he was gone, the troops were fleeing now whether or not they wanted to.

From: Organics Technology Incorporated
To: Viet Teng Gov't

I see an interesting opportunity for both of us in this war. Your texts say that the capitalists will sell you the rope with which you hang them. Now, OT Inc. will send 7,000 elite commandos(OOC: this isn't true, they have little to no training, but you wouldn't know that unless you put in the time to research it) plus all the logistical support we can muster to help your cause. All we ask is a concession.

To be exact, there is a peninsula at (insert random numbers for lat and longitude). We want to build our next factory there. You will be able to have some of your people employed there. All we ask is that you give us tax-free status and exemption from your commercial laws.

"I will not, you hear that NOT! Give up an inch of Viet Teng!" Ho Chi Minh shouted to the messenger who had passed him the message, "7,000 Elites?" He had calmed down and began to think this through, 7,000 Elites could sway a battle, but it depended on their experience, "Messenger boy, send them a message asking the experience of these soldiers, then attempt to negotiate the factory deal."

"General, the final preperations are being made to the missiles, we will have them ready for launch in approximatly 2 hours!" The General looked first at the Engineer and then at the five SCUD's above the factory floor, he smiled as one of the chemical warheads were wired in, he had yet to confirm the target, he could fire at virtually any point in South Teng, what he really needed was a spy.
Kaiser Martens

"Allright then...do you think this will turn out allright, anyways? Meh."
Kaiser smiled lightly, and issued out the next and last orders concerning this. He did as she said and spared the younger ones from having to fight in that jungle. And so, only a few weeks later, the troops approached the Verghastinsel base in air transports, escorted by Silberpfeil fighters and Komet IIICs.

"This is Silberpfeil Leader "Siegfried" Requesting persmission to land at base. We're the reinforcements from The Reich, and are ready to fight."

Inside, the leader of the after all only 40k of Soldiers plus 10k of Sturmpioneere, a minor Colonel, Marenberg, sat there awaiting the battle. He'd just try to get his boys alive, he knew that this war wouldn't be as honor-ful like the others Martens had led them into, but will still do his utmost to serve the Kaiser's will. Deutschland's will.

IC: Major Frank Williams hit the emergency ramp drop. Since it was mechanical, not electrical, the ramp dropped and hit the mud.
"All right troops!" the Major bellowed to the 74 surviving soldiers. "I want a perimeter fifty feet around the ship! We've got to dig in until HQ sends a search party, so i want to be able to hold the ship! Alpha and Gamma squads! Dig a trench fifty feet around the ship. Beta squad! See what you can do to repair the ship. Everyone else, GET THAT PERIMETER SET!"

The response to the inquiry was a quite deliberate "Yes, these are good men.". A message that brief always came after such a specific inquiry, but of more importance was the meeting.

After a few brief introductions, the mercenary officer hired by Benescz arrived.

"Hello, I understand that you want some new terms. We're willing to drop the territorial claim but we still want the tax exempt status. Have your general send a message saying this specifically on public airwaves: 'Dynamite Bridge at Dawn' if he agrees. If not then don't waste our time."

The man walked out as soon as he entered. He was obviously a cool customer; he didn't even let the boy speak.

The General was busy with the SCUD's but Wu could not let the mercanaries know this, he quickly fabricated a story "The General is currently busy, he is sorting the movements of our most valuable troops, I will pass on the message at the next point i see him, the answer will no doubt be yes after your concession, consider yourself on a provisional agrement."

"General, the Barkozians have made a concession, they will not need the factory but still ask for the tax cuts." The aide had almost snuck up upon the General, he was quite shocked "well, what does Ho Chi Minh say?" The General asked, "Ho Chi awaits your approval, as do the 7,000 Barkozian Elites." The General thought it over briefly "put them on the troop roster!"
