OOC: OK, here's the thing - the L.S.E. stock market seems to have shut down and we need a stock market on NS - so we're opening ours. The rule is simple, make RP posts about your nation, economy and most importantly, your company(s) that are listed on the stock market. If you want to have a company listed on the market you MUST RP an IPO with an initial stock price set and give a description of the company and what it does/sells/manufactures, etc. People won't invest in a company without knowing what the company does and whether they can get a return on their investment. Companies listed here are freely traded and anyone can post an offer to buy stock in a company. I'll keep the "ticker" up to date with prices per share and rises and falls in value. You must inform me though of things that affect share prices if you want me to take them into account. If someone offers to buy stock, you should confirm the sale. In other words, you should RP the actual buying and selling of stocks (if you're listed here it is assumed your stock is for sale - though you are free to limit the %age ownership in your company if you wish). I will keep the listing of stocks and current prices along with detailing highs and lows. I don't promise to post each day, but I'll give it my best shot and will be reasonable with update postings. Please, with initial posts, give me a ticker symbol to use.

UPDATE: NOOGEES oil took a beating today with the revelation that production at the company's offshore rigs would be down by 20% or more and the loss of 4 of its refineries as a result of the hurricane that wiped out it's gulf production rigs and Louisiana and Mississippi based refineries.

W.M.D., Inc. stock shot up today upon the finalization of details and a contract to supply the nation of Whittier with several custom designed submarines and another deal by which their subsidiary, Design-a-Plane, Ltd. will supply the nation of The Great Sixth Reich with several long range, stealth bombers. Investors are a bit cautious on W.M.D., Inc. due to lagging sales by Design-a-Plane, Ltd. but independent analysts are optimistic on the future of Design-a-Plane and are indicating a willingness to give the company some time to "take off."

I'm not sure I understand what you mean, if you are talking about different classes of stocks, such as prefferred shares, etc. Just post your IPO with regular shares and preferred shares. Unless stated otherwise, all is considered general shares. Otherwise, just tell me the company name and industry, the symbol you want and the initial price per share. Based on that I'll take it and run, subject to your further posting regarding things that have driven your share prices up or down. If you want to limit the %age ownership of your company, note in your IPO that the total shares for sale represent only X% of the company's total shares.

GTC Inc's has risen in value because of the development of a new anti-cancer treatment, designed for cerebral cancers.

Y-Tech dropped a few points because of the revelation that one of thier OPs had a security hole.

UPDATE: NOOGEES stock rose sharply today upon word that the Yukos oil conglomerate would be providing men and equipment to assist in the recovery from the hurricane damage to NOOGEES facilities.

Trouble-Maker Tom then ran onto the stock trading floor yelling, "The Commie Russkies are going to seize Yukos, and maybe they'll take NOOGEES while they're at it! Don't forget Red China! Keeyaa! Bahahahaha!"

UPDATE: The price of W.M.D., Inc. stock rose sharply today on word that their subsidary, Design-a-Plane, Ltd. had completed a deal with MassPwnage worth $2 Trillion for the design of a new strike fighter.

GTC Inc, has dropped in value because of the SARS vaccine they developed, had been shown to cause chronic, and very potent halitosis.

Y-Tech has leveled out from thier slump and appears to be on the rise.

Aerospace Genius Avery Frost, Strikes Gold Again

Avery Frost, Chairman of the Board and CEO of Avery Frost Aeronautics LTD proved that lightning does indeed strike twice. In response to recent concern that Avery Frost could not meet domestic and international demands, Avery Frost has spun off an entirely new corporation. AFA International LTD, based in the United Kingdom of Azazia. Mr. Frost explained to our financial correspondent.

"With a dearth of workers from the Free Republics chronic high employment and the Interior Ministries reluctance to let us invest in new production and test facilities due to enviromental concerns, a new strategy was needed.

I decided that it would be best to our use capital and expertise to found AFA International. This will reduce prices, eliminate the backlog of product to be delivered and allow us to tap the resources and minds of the able citizens of other nations to continue to offer innovation to our customers, worldwide."

So far this has included a 1.2 billion DR licensing deal with Ledley’s Aviation Ltd. for the Marathon line of commercial jets, an estimated 200 billion DR partnership with W.M.D. Inc. and a newly announced order from the government of the Dominion of Karmanyaka for over 2 billion DR to provide transports to the Lord Tengil and the government's Ministers.

With these lightning quick deals and sales the initial IPO price of AFA International rose from 550 DR to 765.09 DR on the IVEX. Investors see nowhere to go but up at this point.
