The Blitzkrieg on Deatharon [Closed Attn Allies of Neo Zeta/Republic]

The jump was made forces were left behind to defend the Empire and Luca was going to be handeled by the Abh.
The ships cruised threw warp as the droped out of warp with the allied fleets they saw it. The Deatharon Fleets.... Grand Admiral Rei smiled as she waited for the Allied ships to come out of warp and form up.
A message was sent There they are....The Deatharon Devils. They kill a child Emperor....We will show them and their allies that their acts wont go unpunished. Destroy them and drive them from the border!! Our allies tommrow we will drink to victory!!
The Neo Zetan ships were 2 mintues from fireing range...
OOC: Now i wait for a good bit of my allies to post and Deatharon.
It had taken several days, but when the word had gotten around that the Republic was going to war, and that Deatharon was the key target, the Protectorate had launched all their new ships to help protect the Deatharon Empire.
It was a large fleet, roughly 1500 starships, tho much smaller than the other nations ships, ants to the others, they stilled packed a punch; and sometimes, numbers work better than power, hopefully this would be one of those times.
Arriving in the system, they saw the massive invasion fleet, and they moved towards the Deatharon fleet to reinforce them and push back the Zetan menace.

Reaver made the jump and jumped right to the head of the Neo Zeta fleet....
Reaver now had a reason to kill. When he finished the jump, he could see the Deatharon fleets, this would be his chance to kill, and kill he would... in a single shot....
but he waited... He wanted to see what the Neo Zeta ships would do...

The Supreme Adrimal Hvei the leader of the Antaran White Fleet was ready for the dreaded Neo Zetan Invasion. The Empire had been excepting Neo Zeta to try and exterminate all life in the Galaxy. The Supreme Adrimal gave his orders:
Antaran Black Fleet activate the mines in your sector the Neo Zetans may beat us back but we will give them such losses that there allies and them will rememeber our valor and bravery.
The Mines were activated around the stragetic areas on the border soon hundreds of anti matter mines would head towards enemy ships while the two Antaran fleets pound into the invadeing forces waiting for the Imperial First Fleet and Imperial Thrid Fleet to reinforce them. The Imperial Second Fleet was going to help the Republic on a massive strike on the Neo Zetan Doth System.
OOC: Last post for a few hours.
The fleet moved closer and closer, and marvelled at the display that the mines gave.
Admiral McForn was leading the assualt from the command ship the Protectorate, named after the glorious new Nirsian government. He gave his orders.
All ships take up positions near the Deatharon vessels and open fire on the Zetans and their allies. Full torpedoes and blasters.

Reaver could feel the power spike from the mines activation. It worried him.
He scanned the area, and sure enough it was what he expected...mines.
Thousands of them. Reaver could destroy them, but still he waits to see what his allies where going to do...

The Empire had made the first move in the conflict, and Deatharon was paying for it. But the Galactic Empire of Taledonia would not abandon their allies, oh no, they would go to aid the Deatharon forces, and break the Zetan attack.
It didn't take long for the eight fleets to arrive in the system, and even less time for them to take up positions near the allied Republican fleets.
Onboard the Empires most advanced ship, the Defiance, Admiral Galerius stood looking out the window at the just starting battle. He peered over at the ships surrounding him.
The 8 Battle Cruisers, the flagships of each fleet. The 64 Destroyers, 128 Frigates, 16 Carriers, and 28 support frigates.
As the fleets came within firing range of the Zetans and their allies, they opened up, putting on a formidable lightshow for all to see as the space between the two forces filled with turbo lasers, energy cannons, energy torpedoes, and the newly arriving TF-20 fighters pouring out of the fleets.

Reaver jetted out of the laser barrage and began to counter attack. Reaver charged his Nova and blasted it towards the attacking forces. The nova blast screamed through the open space, cutting small holes in the fabric of space. reaver was sure it would make them think twice before they ppulled another stunt like this.
The way he aimed the nova blast was either the flett take the hit or The planet closest to them take the hit. Either way someone was going to die.....
OOC: the Nova blast is not GM if you want to cry about it. Read to N.S. war part 2 it was use to take out 15 corvette ships in one hit...

The Abh fleet of 800 vessels came out of Space Time and moved to engage sector 12 of the Deatharon border. Admiral Trife looked as the area was lightly guarded.
"Have half of the Frontline ships hold positions and prepare for mine attack. I want the Attack Vessels to go and scout the area. They are to report any signs of the enemy. They are not to engage any heavy vessels, only frigates and fighters at this time. I want the Guardships and Patrolships on the fringes of the boarder ready to attack and lend aid when needed."
100 Frontlineships opened their ports ready to fire a barrage of mines into enemy territory and they could also be launched as a defense against incoming fire. It was a nice little bonus to such technology.
200 Attack Vessels launched into enemy territory with anti-proton cannons armed and ready. Laser cannons were at maximum power as they scouted for enemy wereabouts.
The Guard and Patrolships loaded their electromagnetic rifles and prepared to fire. The Guardships also fueled their mines for defense. The Patrolships would have to save theirs for when they were deeper into enemy territory.
Kahanistan
07-09-2005, 04:33
The Kahanistan fleet set a course for the nearest Deatharon base using the information they had obtained from Zeta Intelligence. After docking many of their passengers at the Zeta base the fleet still carried 40,000 support, 15,000 Imperial Marines and 100,000 Republic Guard ground troops in addition to the ships' usual crews.
The Imperial Marine commander, Lt. Gen. Hamed bin Jamal, a vicious, bloodthirsty man, paced the floor of his quarters on the RKS Jupiter.
"Stuck in my quarters when I should be biting open the throats and drinking the blood of those lamb-raping capitalist heathens," he thought. "Well, maybe the Deatharon will be stupid enough to try to board our ship."
An explosion sounded. General bin Jamal opened his door and collided with a tall black woman he barely recognized. About 35, he thought, and wearing a Captain's insignia. He fumbled mentally for her name. "Captain... Larson?" he asked. "What in heaven is happening?"
Captain Lashonda Larson stared at the surly General as if he had just spoken to her in Chinese. "What do you think is happening? We're under attack! That wasn't a Deatharon's fart you heard out there, you know!" she said harshly. Before bin Jamal could process what she had said, she was gone, through the thick door that said BRIDGE. He followed her. Protocol be damned, he had been cooped up on that ship for days, treated as common cargo and he had put up with it as best as he could. The door slammed behind him. But he could hear everything on the bridge through the door.
"Deatharon warship, unknown class name. Its weaponry is of a type unfamiliar to us."
Captain Larson's voice. "Well, didn't we get that kind of information from Zeta Intelligence?"
"Negative, Captain. The Deatharon ship is firing missiles. Shields down to 67%."
"Evasive action. Set heading to 313 mark 87, try to hug the Al-Haraam's position. Comm, open a channel to the Al-Haraam, we have taken fire."
"The Al-Haraam is firing on the Deatharon ship. The Deatharon ship's shields are fluctuating, but we can't tell how badly we've damaged it or if that's a normal part of operation for those shields. The Al-Haraam took a hit on its left front quarter, reports its shields are at 90%."
"Break contact from the Al-Haraam and move closer to the Deatharon ship. Ready disruptors and KEW's, we'll try to board it once its shields drop. Have 300 Marines and 2,000 Republic Guards on standby for boarding action."
General bin Jamal smiled. Maybe, he thought, this woman did know how to command better than her age would suggest.

IC: The incomeing mines were seen as the first major threat. As fighters luanched and Jem'Hadar attack craft readyed to engage Republic ships the large ships loaded their mines and in defense fired them at incomeing mines.
The battlefield lit up as mines hit each other exploding in a bright blaze. Some came threw and hit Neo Zetan ships. The smaller ships were destroyed by the mines as the larger ones took shield and or small hull damage.
But as some of Deatharons mines made it threw so did some of Neo Zetas.
As the mine threat was being dealt with the Battlecruisers and Battleships opened fire with their long range weapons targeting Taledonia's Frigates.
The Small Capital ships readyed to engage Deatharon forces as the advanced fireing their missles and their lighter mines.
Mobile Suits were ready to engage enemy mobile suits if they were used.
The battle was even however Neo Zeta expected the numbers advantage would fall with them soon. Torpedos and disrupters as well as heavy Jem'Hadar ships waited untell they were closer to be used.

After a scan of the attacker, Admiral Galerius was pleased to hear that the powerful thing called "Reaver" was biological, meaning organic. A large smile formed on his face as he thought about the destruction of the Zetans most powerful ally as of yet.
Fire an Angel at that thing.
Yes, sir. Closet Battle Cruiser is the Insolent Minx.
The orders were transfered, and the Insolent Minx took aim on the Reaver. From the front of the vessel, came the giant blast of blue light, the small white "angels" inside the beam dancing around playfully as the beam surged towards the target. The crystal angel blast envelopped the thing, and would erase it from the universe.

He started to draw in energy from the universe around him His wings open wide and glowing. The energy gathering He chraged his Nova blast to full chrage.... He was going to blow the whole fleet away.... the strain was great from the power gathered from the charge up. A ball began to form close to Reavers mouth. It grew, and grew. The ball was one of noticable size. And with one great shot the ball was off to its target....The planet

A Single ship hurtled out of Hyperspace, followed by Almost Fifty Others. Immidietly one stood out from the rest, looking almost like a massive whale in its form. This was the command ship, Jurikmar, a ship of small size, only Three Kilometers long. Those surrounding it where even smaller, Mostly they ranged into the Seven Hundred Meter Range. Three where A Kilometer in length.
This may have seemed strange to many combattents, who would have made ships as large as they could. But the effectivness of these craft was Far superior to the enemy.
These thoughts Circals through General Munkar's head, as he watched his forces begin to spread out of formation to engage the enemy. Looking back he pointed to one of the driods, with a mechanical voice spoke.
"You, Wake the Mind, we have work to do!" he began turned back to the veiw screen before him. Had he lips to smile, he would have.
The Smaller ships began to engage. Plasma engaged off their decks as sheilds soaked up fire. Most fire was, mabey incorrectly, directed at ships that where larger. The Plasma that launched off these ships hunted out its targets with ruthless efficiency.
The Four Bigger ships on the other hand, began to awaken the minds. AI units far superior to anything humanity had created. While the Minds Awoke however, they let loose trail after trail of plasma.
A moment later, the Minds where awake.

OOC: Looks like some little guy somehow has huge-ass ships, which he can apparently spare from his nation, as all his people are at peace, happy, and love each other, as well as being downright deadly in combat. Try to be a little realistic, mmkay? You're small, you have what are quite large craft, and no, your craft aren't "far superior". They're, at most, average. If you're lucky.
Also, please declare who you're firing upon. We don't automatically know which side you're on, and we're not mind-readers.
IC: The fifty ships, most smaller than a hundred metres, which, was, of course, large in its own right, opened fire, the linked Blast cannons firing pulses of red energy, which could rip through shields and armour alike with supreme ease, although it had cost much. Indeed, a fleet of one thousand ships could easily be fielded for the same price, although these ships carried the pride of the Realm within them, and were, indeed, an excellent chance to "show off" the capabilities of the Realm. If nothing else, it would discourage any would-be invaders, as this was but a tiny portion of what the newly-formed League had to offer.
"Activating inner FTLi generators. No damned teleportation fire's going to get through our hulls today."
The resident AI, Illyriuth, on the Star of the Morning-class frigate, had suddenly noticed the activation of new minds, those similiar to his own. He investigated them, and dismissed them contemptously, putting them beneath his notice. He had important matters to attend to, now. He split his consciousness, and sent a minor, probing thought towards the new ones, informing them that they had best stay out of his way, as he had work to attend to, and did not wish to interrupted by petulant children.
Meanwhile, the ships fired on. The human captains, whom all had been picked for their grudge against the Republic, and, in particular, Taledonia and Deatharon, quickly directed the AIs to fire on targets of both those nations, concentrating the fire they had available for them, mainly on Taledonian ships, which had Crystal Angel cannons, as they well knew the deadliness of those weapons. Although a shield capable of deflecting their fire had been invented, it was far too cost-prohibitive to equip, unless they were facing solely Taledonian ships.
The cannons on the Star of the Morning all swivelled, and pointed in the same direction, all aimed, with extreme prejudice, at the Taledonia Crystal Angel cannons.
"Fire!"
Each of the linked cannons let off huge blasts of energy, ripping their way through space, and homed in on the CAs, as each captain feared for his life, not that the fleet would be that badly effected by the loss of the humans, but the captains would be affected, no doubt about that...

As the blue HTs collapsed, the 4 gunships and 3 carriers emerged. They moved to form a flat, horizontal line(segment if you want to be exact). Then, they began the bombardment of the enemy fleet.
Taledonia
07-09-2005, 15:50
The HT bombardment slammed into the energy shielding on the Battle Cruisers. It was a known fact that the Realm disliked Taledonians, and would take any chance they could get to shed the golden blood. But if they wanted a fight, then they would get it.
We could fire on them sir, but they always have AI's running their ships.
Galerius thought of what to do. The energy cannons and the other fire of the fleet was already being used on the Zetans and their allies, and more specifically the Realm vessels now since they were close, but what else could he do? He could just sit there and let the two fleets bash each other with fire until one of them arises victories, but then the losers allies would pick off the winner.
Activate warp.
Yes, Admiral.
The fleet disappeared in a flash, and reappeared behind the Realm fleet, tho still staying away from their allies. They now had an advantage, if only for a short time, but they would exploit it as much as possible. The entire fleet fired everything at the Realm vessels, concentrating on the largest vessels first.
The fighters that had been launched saw the fleet warp to behind the Realm fleet, so they did what they always did in a situation like that. They turned and went to engage the Realm ships.
Many bombers had been launched also, and with an escort of two fighters each, they did periodic bombing runs; just skimming the surface of the realm ships to avoid their shielding and dropping their high energy explosives onto the hulls directly.
The matter had become more personal that official when the Realm had come to the battle. Ever since they bombarded the remains of Taledon after it was destroyed, almost all the military personel swore they would take vengence on those responsible for making things that much worse when things were already terrible.
tag, just assume Avisron is firing off cover now, i'll make more IC posts later.

The Neo Zetan fleet seeing the Taledonia fleet change postions saw a chance to break Deatharons fleets.
With their main cover gone the Zetan fleet engaged their fold drives and folded into the middle of the Deatharon fleet. Once they they opened fire with everything they had as fighters did as well.
The other allied fleets not engaged in close range combat were ordered to surrond Deatharons fleets to cut off escape.
Any damaged ships would either flee or ram enemy ships
The disrupter banks fired with all their furry as their torpedos fired as fast as they were loaded. They wernt going after the bigger ships but trying to take out more numbers then size. Fighters and lighter ships were the main target as well as some key capital ships. If they destroyed the smaller ships then Deatharon would be left with little cover to aid their larger ships.
Tho loses of Neo Zetas side were also expected to be high.

The report came back from the Attack Vessels and Major Kayhul handed the report to Admiral Trife. The Major watched the Admiral as he read it, trying to gauge his reaction. "Sir, it seems that the enemy has not noticed us and the Attack squadron reports that our route to the target is clear."
The Admiral nodded as he read it all. "Have the Frontlineships that are ready to fire their mines reposition themselves at location gama-05 here." The Admiral points to the halo map where Neo Zeta is engaging Deatharon forces. "Have the Frontlineships fire a wave of mines to lend aid to the Zetans."
"Right away Sir."
The Frontlineships launched a volley of mines at the Deatharon fleet. Hundreds of mines streaked across space leaving a blue trail going to aid the Zetans.
The Taledonians had left to keep the Realm fleet off of Deatharon, but now the Zetans and the rest of their allies had started swarming the Deatharon fleets. It was time to make more aggressive efforts.
Activating full impulse thrusters, the Nirsian fleet sped towards the surrounded Deatharon fleet. They fired their blasters and torpedoes as they cut into the lines of intermingled Deatharon and Zetan ships; which wasn't hard to do since the Nirsian vessels were alot smaller than the others.
The Protectorate passed by what looked like the Zetan capitol ship and fired it's blaster. The large green beam of light flew from the starship into the bridge of the Zetan vessel; and this repeated for three times before the Protectorate passed out of sight of the bridge, but it continued to fire on the other parts of the vessel.

The battle raged with ships fireing back and forth. As the ship being attacked by the Protectorate to major damage its capitan ordered a statues reports
" Damage report!"
The first officer looked at the holo screen scared as this was the first time for her to be in battle
" Main guns offline... Torpedo tubs 1-3 offline and 4 is totaly gone. Shields down to 12%. Hull breech is sections 43 and 44 B"
The Capitan looked at a near by Deatharon Capital ship. " By god we wont go down alone"
He smiled " Full power to engians ram that damn thing out of space.!!"
The Engians of The Fayth Battlecruiser went online at full power as it moved threw space being hit many times however it was so close that even destroying it would not stop the hull from hitting the ship dead on.
The ship slammed into the Deatharon ships killing all crew on both ships.
This wasnt uncommon for Deatharon or Neo Zeta to use ramming. Befor the Battle was over there for sure would be more.
But now Neo Zeta cought on to this threat of the Small ships. 30% of The Jem'Hadar Attack ships in the fleet were ordered to engage them along with fighters to deal with the threat.
Loses were mounting on both sides.

The Exchange Modified Star Destroyer*, “Frog” maintained its position well beyond the fighting as the battle progressed, the privateering vessels surrounding it. Unlike the cosmopolitan makeup of the rest of the fleet, the “Frog was manned entirely by Ihrens and droids.
From a comfortable chair on the bridge of the “Frog“, Lrol Hiln, the rather overweight Head Boss and property owner of the Ihrentan Exchange, peered out at the life or death struggle taking place before him. Quietly, Captain Veip, commander of the “Frog” and charged with disseminating orders to the privateers, approached the crime boss.
“What are your orders for the fleet, boss?”
Hiln’s stalk eyes closed as he spoke, “Tell them to remain in position until the order is given to move out. They know what to do.”
*Essentially a star destroyer without any weaponry except for some AA defense. The weapons were removed to make room for three extra docking bays and extensive cargo holds that take up most of the ship. Its lack of weaponry is made up for by an impressive shield defense network far superior to that of the normal Star Destroyer.

The fighters kicked in to full speed and caught up to right on the tails of the enemy bombers. Blasters blazing, they targetted the enemies back blasters first, and then started on the hull.
"Well we're here" as the fighter-bombers split up into the Taledonian fleet as the bombardment came "And increase the power to the rear cannons before they take down the shields. We're in the hornet's nest."

The Kahanistan fleet continued its push toward its enemies.
That ship must have been testing our resolve. We haven't heard hide nor hair of Deatharon in two days. Are they really so reluctant to engage us? But our intelligence has picked up that the Taledon fleet is very active as of late. Maybe we should pick on them for a change.
Suddenly, a disruptor shot from the rear of the RKS Al-Haraam shattered General al-Aziz's train of thought. Now? Taledon ships? Here?
He had no time to process this thought, as the call over the intercom revealed.
"General, we have a hull breach in the rear of the ship! Estimated losses 300 crew members, 400 marines, and 1,200 soldiers, as well as the contents of Cargo Bays Alpha 1 to 6 and Beta 3 to 5."
Damn! The flagship!
"Computer, engage emergency bulkheads. Raise shields, arm disruptors, and for God's sake, identify our attacker."
Who the hell programmed this computer with a Scottish accent?
"Immerrgenciih b'lkheds n'gayged. Sheelds 't 42%. D'sruptas 't 14%. It's a Taledon bulk-cruiser, unnown specifications."
General al-Aziz frantically opened a channel to the fleet and any Allied ships in the region.
"This is General Abu Hamza al-Aziz commanding the Kahanistan flagship RKS Al-Haraam. We have sustained severe battle damage and incurred massive casualties. To all Kahanistan and allied ships available, we require immediate assistance. Al-Haraam out." He set the ship's distress signal to repeat every 15 seconds and picked up his sidearm. He waited for the boarders he was sure would come.
Meanwhile, outside:
The RKS Giza saw the flagship take damage. Its young, inexperienced captain ordered her ship to move in and surprise the attacker. A novice at naval combat, she had never gotten used to thinking in three dimensions in battle. So far, Captain Goldstein had been lucky. This time, however, she would not.
"Help the flagship. Get a missile lock on that Taledon cruiser." The KEW's, with 100 MT of kinetic energy, propelled at the Taledon ship, which evaded them effortlessly.
"G-d dammit!" she swore. "We're out of KEW's, get a disruptor lock on it. Fire wide beam."
The disruptor barely grazed the Taledon ship, which fired its own disruptors from below. The resulting explosion and hull breach in the bridge was the last thing Captain Michelle Goldstein saw before she and her bridge staff were incinerated in the fiery abyss of Taledon disruptors.

Trife smiled as a fleet from Deatharon finally appeared. "So they do intend to fight. Send the Guardships in to counter attack. Give them to order that they may use their electromagnetic rifles. Move the Keldeij in to the battle, we'll engage the enemy as well. I want the laser cannons to fire for defense. Sheilds are at maximum. I want the other hundred Frontlineships prepared to fire a wave of mines. Tell them they have a half hour to fuel and be ready to launch."
Laser fire was repelled by the ships' shields but some of the missles made it thru and damaged several of the Guardships. Three had to pull back due to reduce engine output and would only be sitting ducks if they engaged. That left ninety-seven ships to engage the Deatharon fleet.
Trife received a distressed signal. "Send ten Patrolships to protect Kahanistan and get them to safety."
Ten Patrolships left and made their way towards the damaged ship. "We are allies of the Zetans and have come to assist you."

The Fleet took heavy loses as the missles hit. The fleet begian fireing every weapon they had. The 2nd and 3rd Crusader fleet had hoped to stay out of the battle and save their energy for other attacks but it seems the border is putting up more of a fight then thought.
They engaged their engians at full power and entered the Deatharons fleets fireing blast after blast as Jem'Hadar Attack craft to damaged to be fixed rammed Deatharon ships
Grand Admiral Rei ordered the use of Thalaron Radation Torpedos. They would kill crew in the areas of the enemy ships they hit as long as their shields are weak. So the commanders used them carefuly.
Loses mounted on both sides one side would break sooner or later. Or the best hope Deatharon holds her ground and lets a large chunk of her fleet be destroyed here and now.

It was time to take some more extensive actions to deal with the Realm. From the Battle Cruiser Alfeis came the massive blue beam from the angel cannon, targetted a a nearby Realm ship, a rather large ship.
In one of the many hangers of the Cruiser, a bording party of 500 shocktroopers was being assembled to go out and take over the now uncrewed ship and dismantle the AI system, giving the Republic control of the vessel.
The captain, his face screwed up in a position of fear, died. Already, two of the proud frigates had fallen, and the single cruiser had taken heavy damage to the third engine, not to mention the all-round lack of shielding.
The Taledonia warp behind the ships was unfortunate, but, luckily, the mobile FTLi system was ready for activation, after careful exclusion of allied engines.
[Node Activated]
[Energy Node Online]
[FTLi generator online]
[Application over 2/3 of current enemy fleet]
[Allied engines are unaffected]
[Warning: Using FTL engines will negate the FTLi field]
The AI, upon the death of the crew, was pertubed little. "Code 1176. Activate metal combat units"
Almost fifty rounded, spider-like metal things on each ship rolled out of cupboards, maintenance, and bays. In each ship, these droids were supreme, powered by the generator of the ship itself, and nigh-invincible while they were powered.
"Activate short-range anti-boarding guns. Fire on any enemy inbounds"
Each ship had another forty-two to seventy-eight guns slide out of hidden caches, and aim at any enemy transports, each small, yet powerful, another example of what the new, unified League would be able to accomplish.
The AI found it amusing that they would attempt to disable him, for, indeed, what other reason would the Taledonians attempt to board the ship?
The variables were correct, and he smiled, well, as much as a non-moving metallic entity could smile. The Taledonians would come aboard, he would play with them for a time, and then they would die.
He had more forces, now that the crew had been halved, and he had no doubt that he had surprises the Taledonians hadn't even heard of, yet...

Liln continued to watch the battle progress, intent on knowing every detail. It was not loss of life that concerned him. After all, all those dieing didn’t even resemble Ihrens in the slightest. To him, it was like watching cattle being slaughtered. Sure they were dieing, but who really cared?
He was more interested in the material aspect of the battle. Ships ramming each other and spilling fuel, cargo and munitions into space, chunks of ships floating practically unnoticed, mines and torpedoes , some of which had to be salvageable duds and, of course, ships damaged beyond repair, all of which couldn’t be recovered by the fleets.
These were all things most saw as casualties, obstacles or both. Things likely to be abandoned by a force on the move. The crime boss, though, all he saw was profit. The only variable, the only risk, hinged on who won this crucial battle.

They weren’t exactly early, but they were there. OFCF-1 and OFCF-3 had arrived. Each of the offensive combat fleets bore 61 ships. The two fleets appeared on opposite sides of the battle and each was broken into its four sub fleets*. The Kazeci ships seemed few as they moved towards the battle, their small groups dwarfed by the massive mess of ships in between. This was only a visual inadequacy, however, as each of the ships was a formidable fighting force all its own. Surely they could tip the scale in the Republic's favor.
Allied fleets:
The KishNa and KishGarn are here to assist, with us are both OFCF-1 and 3. Take heart, we shall enter on your side shortly.
Each of the eight fleets had a purpose that they were designed for, and they moved accordingly. Carrier fleets moved into the middle of Republic forces and began a defensive role while the assault sub fleets charged to the flanks of the front line.
Around each of the Kazeci ships spun a field of random particles moving at high speed. A faint red glow existed around the slate gray hulls. As weapons opened fire at will, many blue streaks that were Zat shots filled the space between Kazeci forces and their foes, mainly the Zetans. Red beams lashed out at the closest ones, delivering their deadly photon torpedoes to their targets, hopefully without the interference of energy shielding**.

Ships realigned for optimal firing positions. Slowly, holes opened in small parts of the shielding, they were necessary for the Lethal Ion Cannons, or LICs. All four massive turrets on each of the SCs recoiled at once, bright beams of yellowish light (charged ions) split the void, heading for the weakest defended spots available to target on near by NZ ships. Galerius turned around a bit startled at seeing the man on his ship. He passsed his hand throught the figure, noting with relief that it was a mere hologram. Keeping his orderly stance, the Admiral replied.
I'm sure the Imperial Senate of the Republic would accept that, and would welcome you to the talks when they begin. However I am but a military man, and have no say in what the Senate does. We would, however, like it if you could deal with the Zetan allies that are still in the area. They continue their attack, tho they may back down and retreat from the area later.
He turned and looked at the Asgard vessel. It was roughly the same size as a destroyer, and probably just as powerful. It had a neat design to it, something Galerius had not seen before, and the runes on the side made him wonder. Turning back to the hologram, he eyed the creature carefully.

The Commercial Enterprise, or ComEnt fleet arrived in the outskirts of they system where there were reports of combat. There were a large number of smallish to mid-sized ships, all flanking a massive sphere that was somewhat flattened out.
As the sensors observed the wrecks and general debris, the 'admiral' pressed a button and a squadron of small ships arrived.

"The pleasure is mine, Admiral." Balder said, bowing his head and flickering out in a flash of white and blue light.
Suddenly, three more vessels exited from hyperspace. All of them were larger than the Surt (http://www.stargate-tech.net/pagepics/oneilleng.jpg) - almost three times the size. The four ships moved with a speed that turly beguiled their bulk. Almost as if they were powerful swimmers in the ocean, the four vessels bore effortlessly forewards. In but a few quick seconds, most of the distance between the Republic Fleet and the Zetian Allies had been crossed.
As they closed to firing distance, volley after volley of preliminary fire pelted the four ships. Almost as if they were protected by giant eggs, the outsides of the four ships glowed bright orange and deflected most of the attacks. Those few that hit the armor left insigificant dents in their hulls, which soon (in a very peculiar way...) seemed to be reparied by a shifting, silvery mass.
The Asgard ships opened fire as soon as they were able: great blue balls of energy (a series of NPAWs, Antimater-projectile cannons, and mass-transfer beam weapons) flew at rediculous speeds toward the ship hulls of the Zetian Allied Forces. Nearing the bulk of the fleets, the Asgard's Transportation Beams (http://www.stargate-tech.net/pagepics/belgo.jpg) errupted in brilliant blue fan-shaped rays. As one of these "fans" fell across a floating hull of a destroyed ship, the ship disapeared wherever the beam touched it. It was as though it were being "scanned" out of existance: transported to god only knows where in an unknown number of pieces.
The effects of these weapons, firing faster and faster upon the fleet, were about to be seen...
OOC: I know, it sounds very powerful: but I only have 20 to 25 ships for my entire nation. They're high-quality, low-quantity ships.

A flashing blue and white light greeted the now-familar arival of the hollographic Balder, joined by three other Asgard, aboard the Hyperspatial Travel's vessel.
"Greetings, Admiral, I am Balder. Commander of the Asgard Fleet and Captain of the Surt. The Asgard have heard your plee, but do not wish for money or services from the Hyperspatial Travel. The Asgard, instead wish to aid your nation. 300 Nietzschean ships tore themselves from the Slipstream; each gleaming, sharp prows and readied weapons. The lead ship; a Glorious Heritage Class Cruiser, turned towards the fray. Fleet Marshall William Ataturk sat in his command chair, a finger idly tapping his lip. Here he was, a Fleet Commander, yet a subordinate to a Jaguar and the Kodiak. It was an irritating feeling, a stifling blow to be thought of as...Inferior.
"I am Fleet Marshall William Ataturk of the Drago-Kasov pride; we have brought our First Strategic Fleet to the aid of the Republic. Report, at once!"
He snarled over comms; turning to the immense viewscreen, clenching his fist as a holographic figure appeared next to him. The AI, smirking, clad in black uniform, turned to regard him coldly.
"An excellent declaration of war, Sir. I am certain that the Archduke shall....reward your perseverance."

Hiln stared out at the battle. Things were not going according to plan. Crime bosses tend to get angry when things don’t go according to plan.
“The Zetans have RETREATED?!?”
“Yes, sir,” answered a flight officer. “They appear to have momentarily redrawn. Also, it seems peace talks have commenced between various Republic and Zetan Allied Forces.”
“Well, there won’t be anything for those humanoid dogs when they get back. Send the damn pirates out. NOW!”
Seconds later, the privateers shot off at the remains of the Zetan fleet. Some ships probed and salvaged unexploded ordinance; others siphoned various liquids from wrecked ships; more tore scraps from hulls, and still others simply salvaged derelict cargo. When their holds were full, they unloaded their salvage onto the “Frog” and headed out for more.

Taken abback by the uncaring reply, Balder's hollogram quickly disapeared.
What happened next could only be described as beautiful and shocking. The Surt (AFTER ATACKING, WHICH STILL NO ONE HAS REACTED TO!!!) moved near the attacking slavagers. Erruping from the bottom of the ship came a barrage of Asgard Transporter Beam "fans." Only the target was not the combating ships, but the disabled ships below.
As the fans crossed over the wreckage, it appeared as though nothing had changed. Still, as Zatarack and ComEnt forces would soon be aware, every last person, piece of hardware, weapons, food, clothing, and even personal affects, were disappearing.
In a wide-range transmission to the two bickering sides, Balder's voice boomed over the intercom.

The sphere had launched a fifth of it's fighter complement, a total of a hundred thousand fighters, when the Zatarack ship had fired. The rounds 'hit' and passed thought the sphere.
Meanwhile the fighters wheeled on the attacking ships and while they were tiny, when working in unison, they were deadly.

"Hey! We could break those people down" as a heavy carrier HTed in and a flight of fighter-bombers attacked the Surt.
Several of the fans, effortlessly flowing up and down the bulkwards, now speed upwards towards the fighter-bombers approaching. As the fan left the bulkward, the change in its function could already be seen: the very edge of a large capital ship was "Scanned" away. The beams were now acting as weapons: transporting ships into millions of different pieces and spreading them around the system.
(OOC: Just to give you a heads-up, unless your fighter-bombers are made of some crazy-resistant-to-everything material, they're going to be transported into tiny little pieces VERY fast.)
As the Heavy Zatarackian Carrier fired upon the Surt, the orange Shell once again rose up. Burst after burst cascaded in beautiful patterns over the Asgard shield. Still, such a relentless fire was able to find holes in the outdatted shielding systems of such an old model. With a small explosion, a piece of the Surt's back-edge shattered. As it swung out into space, a long, silvery line appeared from the inside of the ship. It swung around the piece, pulling it back towards the main hull of the ship. Within minutes, the damage had been repaired: the ship was back to normal.
Then, the Surt fired its main cannons: blue bursts of fast-moving energy in the form of NPAWs, Antimater-projectile cannons, and mass-transfer beam weapons. They closed in fast to the carrier...

Meanwhile, fighting the Asgard ship...
"Oh. just get those Judgements here" as two Judgment nuclear gunships tore a temporary hole in space and time behind the Surt and emerged.
OOC: Okay, okay...time out, time-out...
Let me tell you what's wrong here:
1) You don't give any losses. I have blasts of FRICKEN HUGE ENERGY coming towards you, and you may have a possible extermination of your fighter support. Yet, for some reason, casualties remain a mystery. You need to post casualties and adapt to that.
2) The "meh." attitude. I don't usually care about something like this, because it's all too common, but please react a bit to the fact that a very powerful ship is gunning you down. Most people (even emotionless people) are going to say "Oh, well." to a possible loss of firepower.
3) What are "Judgment nuclear gunships?" If they're gunships, then they have a crew and weapons. So, are they just nuclear powered or are they torpedoes? How far behind me are they? Are they right up next to me (which would not be possible, due to the shields), or are they behind me behind my shields? Details, please.
The fighters continued to launch in wings and attack the Zatarack fighters and warships.
The warships fired upon the Zat warships with lasers and rail-cannons. The three largest warships also fired a missile barrage with the massed fire.
ooc: It's just the ships that have the HUP shields, the fighters can be destroyed by a well aimed large-caliber modern pistol.

The front badly wounded, the ship headed full speed to ram the orb.
OOC: Oh, yes, well of course I have losses, I just tend to not RP them. But they are there. Consider the carrier scrap.
And ruin the distraction?
Oh they're nuclear powered gunships. They also use the radiation and heat of the fissiona nd fusion reactor's in their main weapon.
One of the smaller of the warships sped forward to intercept the Zat ship that was on a collision course at the FCS(sphere). As it neared the Zat ship, it dropped it's HUP shield and accelerated to preform a ram of it's own.

From small cylinders on the destroyer came a random, rapid spay of energy projectiles, neatly vaporizing all of the ship they came in contact with.

Marshal Torusumi moved into the area, apparently, thanks to soem technical glitches and some issues with supply, Command delayed their movements by at least a few days. Word had come down that the Neo Zetans had been defeated....and her two fleets, now up to spec, moved close to the area.
Marshal Torusumi noticed the scene. She hailed the remaining Neo Zetan Allies in the area and said,
"Attention All Allies! This is Marshal Rose Torusumi of the New Dornalian Red Army. What happened here?"

The Nietzschean tactical offensive began; firing their weapons at the enemies of the Republic. Torpeoes roared through the void as lazer weapons fired; fighters dipping and diving; dodging between debris as they began the assault. Ataturk smirked softly; weapons roaring to bloody life as his flagship plunged through the dark of space, turrets engaging against multiple hostiles as slipfighters peeled off, attacking along with then Garuda's and the Leviathan Roused cruisers.
He closed his eyes softly; listening to that bitter requiem of war and bloodshed; music to the Drago-Kasov's enhanced ears.

OOC: One should not break up ships with fusion reactors
IC: The fusion reactors were no longer controlled. They were quickly reaching the level of heat from a protostar.
OOC: Actually, fusion reactors immediately "burn out" when they leak. After all: they're unstable, super-heated hydrogen molecules. The cosmic medium and extreme cold of space is enough to stop any fusion materials from becoming a hazzard. There's not even radiation, as the nuclear reaction quits cold. That's one of the reason "fusion power" seems to be the safetest, most reliable power we can achieve. Only permenant nuclear furnaces, like the Sun, can burn forever.

OOC: But, still, you're not going to make a protostar from a couple of dead fusion reactiors and "bending the laws of space in the localized area." If you have a weapon that, when hot and destroyed, causes massive shifts in space-time to the point of physics deteriorating: then you've designed one lemon of a ship.
But, fine, I'll play into it:
What laws are they bending, and how? If its transforming into a "protostar" then how, why, and where's the mass coming from?
The full complement of the fighters, minus combat losses, continued to attack and engage any attackers.
The sphere had lossed a number of compartments, but because of it's size, could ignore damage that would cripple a smaller ship. Meanwhile the warships concentrated and opened a massed volley on the now retreating(perspectively) Zat warship.

Hiln watched in disbelief as other salvagers began ripping the hull, off of ships that were still manned.
“Don’t those human barbarians know anything about PR?,” he gawked.
A few minutes latter, Captain Veip approached him. “Boss, cargo capacity is full. We can’t carry anymore and the Zetan remains have been stripped of all useable components, along with some Deatharon salvage in the area.”
“Was there any crew?”
“No… Everyone was dead. We did recover a great deal of armor, personal weapons and cybernetic implants from the bodies, though.”
“Good. I hear dealing with POWs can be a hassle.” He paused briefly and shut his eyes before speaking again. “Do the privateers have their cut?”
“Yes, many couldn’t carry all the plunder they were due, so we had to pay them in cash for the excess,” the Captain responded.”
“It means nothing. We’ll be able to make more than they ever could off it. Tell them to get out of here. Things are getting a little to heated.”
“But what about the Zet-”
Hiln cut him off, “Those bastards abandoned the battle. I don’t see why we should stick our neck out and remain here as a waypoint for pirates.”
“Ok, boss. I’ll give the orders.”
Moments later, the privateers headed their separate directions. Some returned home, others went as far away from home as possible. All had gotten what they had been promised, a small fortune. Some of the more hard-core pirates were disappointed that they wouldn’t get a shot at the well defended Deatharon trade lanes, but a job was a job. The “Frog” itself made a hyper drive jump back to Ihrentan, where the salvage would be put to good use on the black market.
“Too bad we couldn’t capture any live ones,” Hiln lamented as the ship shot through space.
“I thought you said POWs were a hassle,” the Captain said, puzzled.
“Yeah, but those humans will pay out their non-existent gills on the flesh market.”
“That they will, boss, that they will.”

OOC: Wait, are we talking about the same kind of protostar here? You know, protostars' big line-life is the fact they're fricken clouds of gas that have only begun to move together. "Heat" isn't going to cut it, nore is some "dimesnional rift", because if you introduce mater into our universe you have, essentially, destroyed our universe (due to the First Law of Thermodynamics).
Look, even if you make a protostar: all that's going to happen when I disturb it is the release of radiation. Heck, not even the gravitational forces (which aren't that great) or the temperature (10 to 20 kelvins) will do anything. The only true "damaging" effect will be billions of minute particles speeding off inflicting kinetic damage. Of course, if a ship didn't have a shield or the armor plating enough to handle such a bombarsion, then it would die the second it took off (after all, there is a cosmic medium).
So, what do you want to do? If you really want the protostar, I'll RP it, but it won't do anything.

General al-Aziz and 17 of his ships had barely escaped the last engagement, the other 13 either destroyed or "salvaged" by the local privateers. Grimly, he opened two channels, one to the Deatharon commander and one to the Asgard commander. He played the same message on both channels.
"This is General Abu Hamza al-Aziz of the Kahanistan Navy. We wish to discuss peace. The terms we are willing to offer are that any prisoners of war that have been captured be returned to us. If they are dead, we will require their bodies as proof and to be taken back to Kahanistan for cryonic preservation. In exchange, we will release any prisoners we have captured who have not yet been turned into Halal Puppy Chow®. Furthermore, we will withdraw our forces to Earth immediately and cease active hostilities. A peace treaty can be negotiated at a later date."

Although the Kazeci fleet had just left and the fighting was not completely over, A smaller one returned, this time with a different mission.
5 heavy battle carriers and 8 salvage destroyers entered one of the largest debris clusters. Immediately their bays opened and many small craft poured out. The largest of these small craft went about collecting small bits of debris, sending them directly back to Kazeci space for processing through Hyperspace windows. Larger or more valuable debris was collected by teams of small craft and brought into one of the massive bays, either on the carriers or the salvage destroyers, which actually had more bay space. When they were lucky enough to find a large portion of hull, containing several decks, it was towed back. Tractor beams and transporters were also used to collect as much as possible.
Fighter wings were deployed to protect the operation.

The Abh fleet pulled back behind the Neutral Zone along with Neo Zeta vessels. The ten patrolships that were missing finally reported back in after receiving minor damgaes.
The Asgard Council
10-09-2005, 04:30
The bridge continued receiving casualty reports from all over the ship... and all over the fleet for that matter. And now the Asgard had entered the war, and if Kahanistan's intelligence service, the Mukhabarat Al-Kahanistan, was doing its job correctly interpreting what was coming in, the Asgard had joined on the side of Deatharon.
He closed the channel, then sat back in his chair and swilled two whole bottles of pure Kahanistan Ale. The stress of the war was finally pushing him to the breaking point.
*Fzzzz-BLISSSSSSSSH!!*
Balder, still sitting in his great throned chair, appeared with a brilliant azure flash on the bridge of the Kahanistan. It was obviously a hollogram: as an crewman accidentally charged right through the being. With a great ripple, Balder squinted his eyes a bit at the crewman before turning towards the General.
"Greetings, General Abu Hamza al-Aziz. I am Balder, Commander of the Asgard Fleet and Captain of the Surt. We have heard your plea for assistance. The Asgard would be honored to negotiate a peace settlement. If you would please hold for one moment..."
*Fzzzz-BLISSSSSSSSH!!* *Fzzzz-BLISSSSSSSSH!!* *Fzzzz-BLISSSSSSSSH!!*
The sound repeated itself over and over again, as cascades of bright-blue light appeared throughout the ship.
"As the salvagers were...defiling the wrecked ships, the Surt conducted a rescue mission. Those flashes of light were transport beams. We have returned all recovered non-military material and personal belonging to Kahanistan forces," Balder said, his large charcoal eyes resting in a laconic fasion, "We estimate a total of twenty-three thousand pounds of food, clothing, and medical supplies are occupying the cargo space of three ships in your fleet. Additionally, twenty-one hundred personel have been recovered and transported to medical bays throughout your vessels. Four-hundred and thirty seven were found dead with third degree radiation burns. We have successfully revived three-hundred and seventy two. These, as well as the casualties (frozen, upon your request), have been transported to whatever free rooms we could find."
Balder cocked his head slightly, turning to look at the crewmen, "I hope such an intrusion has not angered you. You're ships have been severely weakened, and speed will be your primary concern."

Major Kayhul received the new updates to the status of the operation. "Sir it seems that the supply fleet has arrived from Neo Zeta and are carrying five thousand of a new type of mobile mine. They are equipped with cloaking technology and can be fired from our own Frontlineships. The repair facilities are at 20% complete while the anti-matter factory is only at about 10% complete. I'm afraid that it is behind schedule. The garrison that you ordered is coming from the capital itself though they are a newly formed squadron. There will be about one hundred Patrolships and two hundred Attack Vessels. Of course we will be required to stay to brief them on the situation and their duties. They shall arrive in about twenty four hours. The mobile station is almost here. It will be about two hours before it arrives."
Admiral Trife had his arms crossed and his chin in the palm of his right hand. "Excellent work. Begin resupplying the Frontlineships with the new cloaked mines and tell them to position the mines on the fringe of the NZ. What else is there?"
"We have brought several stations from the Neo Zeta government as well. We have been given anti-cloak sensors along with Anti-Light Speed and Wormhole stations."
Trife smiled. "Hmmmmmmmm. Yes, very good. Place the Anti-Light Speed and Wormhole stations at the very edge of the NZ. Place the Anti-Cloak sensors behind the stations. Reinforce the front with the 5,000 cloaked mines behind it all. I want a wall so they pay dearly for trying to cross the NZ."

"No. I have a better idea. Let us stop this foolish war once and for all. We need law imposed on the Zetans, otherwise we'll lose trade, and we need our trade routes unblocked. I am commissioning the Seventh Fleet to move in there, disable any aggressors with extreme prejudice, and then establish an FTLi field, one of those ones we've been working on for ages. If I remember correctly, our studies of Eternal, Deatharon, Taledonian and Abh engines should prove them easy to disable, however, it may not prove effective against Kazeci and any other minor players. Move out."
A fleet began skimming its way through Truespace, the improved engines whiling away the parsecs, as the few minutes left to arrival began to tick down. The Truespace corridor that had already been established made travel far easier, which would prove beneficial to trading routes, once the war was over.
Greed, not pride, however, motivated this incursion, and, as the ships left Truespace, their forms shimmering into being with a series of blue flashes, a single message left the ships, which was, of course, the only warning the intruders would receive.
"You are intruding on soveriegn Deatharon territory, which is held by the Empire of Deatharon, fully dated and accorded. You are hampering trade between the nations, as well as hampering peace talks. Records from probes show that the damnable Eternal people are responsible for this; your affinity for causing strife and damnation throughout the galaxy is well known, and the idiocy you seek to spread here shall go no further! Lay down your weapons, and instigate no further strife!"
Each ship's weapons whined, as they went online, and they aimed at the Eternal ships. Amusingly enough, it seemed, eternal life also gave one eternal slowness. The ships were outdated by League standards, and what few 'miracles' they could perform would not save them if they so chose to commit an act of aggression.
More amusingly, was to be the Deatharon reaction. HT forces had been so long enemies to them, what would they do in reaction?

Of course, I have less than twenty of them, and they're very expensive, but they are essentially the pinnacle of my technology. My ships are sleek, streamlined, and created for war. OOC: Keep in mind I am writing from Antaran point of view. They think they our superior to everything they meet and they are known to be a little cocky in a fight. They are fearing a massive invasion. Keep in mind they only number in a few million agaisnt your billions of Eternals. They would need the might of the Entire galaxy to win but they are trying to put up a noble defensive front (in there own way.)
IC: The Antaran ships leave the Eternal ship alone. The orders our to only fire if it fires first.

OOC: Pardon me, but you claim to have more advanced technology then the Eternals who have been wagin war for billions of years and are three billion years older. But, I get that you are thinking that they are only disabling your ships.

OOC: Precisely. Think about it. People that live for billions of years will be equally slow, and won't adapt nearly as fast as humanity does. Lifespan = innovation, trust me on this one. Intelligent beings who only live for a year would easily out-technologify humanity within a matter of centuries, and sentients who lived for a million would be infinitely slower. When your lifespan is long, you wouldn't really feel any need to hurry.

OOC: Awhh, but yet humans only live for short time periods and each new generation has spend a large portion of their life learning everything were the other ones left so yet they do more with their lives they have less time to work on it. While immortal beings have the adavantage of the being able to work on a project for thousands of years prefecting while humans usally create flawed technolgies.

OOC: But Humans have a major advanctage. Their lives are so short they try to make the best of it and better them selfs. While Immortals really can put it off. Sooner our later Humans will be the Ultament Elder Race. This comes from many shows such as Star Trek Where Q says it and in Stargate when the Asgard see the Humans as fastly on their way to being the 5th race.

OOC: A moot point, I'm afraid. It's called levels of technology. For instance, do all programmers learn how to build a computer? No.
Do all computer building people learn how to make every single small part they put together? No. You see what I mean? People only have to learn a certain 'level' of knowledge, not all the profoundness behind it.
