After its untimely first demise, Antarctic Earth is back. This is the thread where you can claim territories and secure your role playing rights! below is the map:

And here is the background and the rules:
BACKGROUND: It is the year 2020.
Global warming has reduced the non polar regions of the world into sweltering, pollution stained deserts, incapable of supporting human life. Only the polar regions, now almost free of ice are still inhabitable. As leader of your nation of refugees, you must carve out a homeland for them on the flat tundra and amongst the jagged peaks of Antarctica.
RULES:
#1: No godmodding or acting like an idiot in roleplays (There are some good posts on these topics on the Nationstates International incidents forums consolidation sticky)
#2: You may claim a maximum of TWO territories, regardless of NS nation size. Each territory has a population of 50 million. We had all kinds of crap last time with 5 bil NS populations on one territory. After claims you may occupy a maximum of ONE neutral territory.
#3: You can follow any political viewpoint, and be as extreme as you'd like. But no insulting others OOC for their beliefs. Anyone who does so will be thrown into the penguin pit and severely nabbled.
#4: Any racist or otherwise offensive comments, whether in or out of chartacter will not be tolerated.
#5: NO posting of or linking to offensive/obscene text or pictures.
#6: Holding territories on other worlds is fine, but don't bring those territories into it here.
#7: No thread hijacking
#8: If you are inactive here for 21 days, your territory will return to neutral white. You may come back, but don't expect your old lands back if someone else has claimed them.
#9: Every territory consists of 48 million civilians, and 2 million military personnel. 40% of the military personnel are logistics, 10% are command. If you are attacked, your armed forces may swell to up to 4 million, with the extra 2 million taken from the civilian population.
