King Adrian looked to his chief advisors, Madeline Timvervan (Diplomatic Chief) and High Commander Valkan (Military Commander) and they said nothing. Adrian's popularity was at an all time low with being involved in two wars and his leaning towards democracy in a country afraid of any corruption. The people called for resignation and demanded someone more pacifist take over and bring Eternus Lumen back into isolation from the world and its corruption.

After a long silence Madeline being the boldest spoke first, "M'lord if you order the beginning of democracy things will not go well with the people." Her words were short and simple but to the point. Adrian nodded in agreement but spoke differently, "Why can't these people see what is good for them... they are too afraid of change, they cling to the all days when wars hardly if ever occurred."

Madeline stood up, her finger waving angrily, "You will listen M'lord you're father's last words of advice were to continue to stay in isolation and you should've listened! Now look at your country... they hate you and I'm beginning to hate you as well. You speak of them as if they know nothing! They aren't afraid of change you, yes you are afraid of the old times!" And with that she stormed out of the room.

Adrian looked at her confused, "Why, what changed her?" Valkan only shook his head, "She's afraid, she's afraid she has already been corrupted by the world. I would watch her m'lord we may have trusted her with our lives in the past but now... now I think differently." Adrian ran his hands though his long hair when an aide rushed in, "Sir! Rector has gone to hell, riots and looting is everywhere they are screaming for your end!"

Adrian looked at Valkan, "Oh no...” Valkan was already gone in his office ordering the mobilization and deployment of the military, "How could this happen, who is responsible John?" He asked the aide, "We don't know but armed militia man are running around in black outfits with long black trench coats and full face ski masks."

Adrian's mind clicked with realization, The Outfit of ELRA. The Eternus Lumen Revolutionary Army.

Rector

In Rector, guns shots rang into the sky and fires ran rampant, dominating the streets. An orange sunset was in the sky as it seemed fitting for the fiery city. The police were trying to restore order, even being forced to shoot their own people which caused them great strife. The military had been called in by Valkan and within moments forces from Guardian Base were on their way. They would arrive in full force within the hour.

Guardian Base

Michael J. Carter watched his helicopter lift from the ground and storm off for his home city, Rector. According to the briefing the entire city had gone to hell and everyone had gone crazy demanding the resignation of Adrian. Armed Militia men wearing the uniform of the Ancient and thought to be defeated Revolutionary Army were apparently leading the mini-revolution. It was up to Carter and his squad along with several dozen others -over four hundred men to be exact- to restore order and bring the city back to its former glory. Michael’s best friend, Thomas Johnstone sat next to him, “Ready to kill some RAs?” He said with a tone of joking but you could tell he was scared but Michael couldn’t lie he was scared shit too.

The squad commander, Sergeant Nickolson began to speak, “Alright ladies, in fifteen minutes we’ll be over Rector, I want quick and swift kills remember everyone there has gone nuts! Also I know many of you are from this town, so you have to realize your families are there to, it is up you to protect them got it boys?” A chorus of “Yes sir!” answered him.

Every minute seemed like an hour and every minute Mike spent preparing himself for what he would see but he never expected to see what his beloved city had become. As they flew over, the machine gun rattling as people actually shot as the Helicopter, “They’re shooting at us! They’re actually shooting at us!” Jake Cleversan said in surprise. They landed at an RZ different from other squads since we have volunteered to be the first ones into the heavy hitting areas. Military vehicles would be on their way, but they wouldn’t arrive for a couple of hours so it was up to the troops to secure the area.

“Move, move, move!” The Sergeant screamed, and they all slid down the rope as the machine gun continued to fire and they jumped straight into hell…

King Adrian appeared on national television that night and in some parts of the world, their regular news channel. His tone was serious and somber showing how bad he felt about everything, “I come to you not tonight as a leader but a mourner. Today in Rector a massive riot so massive it has been classified as an attempt at revolution. They call for my resignation and I know many for wish but I say this, No!” He said with a triumphant cry. He then continued, “I will not bow down to the wants of a population who will go beyond it’s beliefs and to the point of hypocrisy to remove a leader who you say wants nothing but war when all you are giving me is war. No, until this revolution is put to an end I will stay your leader but when it is over I will carefully consider it if only for the better of the people. That is all I have to say, the international community all I have to say is simple words, your help is welcomed but not nessecary. Thank you.” And Adrian walked off the stage without even looking at the crowd, he had tears in his eyes.

Rector
The squad had landed and they had all been overcome by seeing the destruction this close. They could hear the screams of the dying, the scared and the killers. It was horrible it was like as if they weren't in Eternus Lumen, No...no, we're in hell. Those were the thoughts of Michael J. Carter and his squad. They weren't in the city for five minutes before the order to take cover was screamed.

Ducking behind a car that had been smashed what seemed like a thousand times, Michael opened fire not revealing anything but his hands firing blindly into the streets ahead. He was sweating already due to several reasons. Some of it wasn't sweat, some of it was tears.

Michael and his squad were all from Rector, some of them had grown up together and it hurt them so much to see such familiar areas being destroyed and aflame. The order to move was given and they crouched and ran from cover to cover till they were on Main Street, one of the guys fell to his knees screaming in anguish pointing to a house on fire. Michael realized it was Jake and that is when Tom ran over and whispered, "That's his house, his family lived there."

The sergeant came over and smacked him in the back of the head, "Move it SOLDIER!" Jake fought to get up and he did, but tears had blinded him and it was at the worst moment because they came under fire and Jake was ripped apart but bullets. Bullet weren't the only thing hitting them rocks and glass, anything that could hurt them was thrown at them as the words, "Traitors, bastards." Were shouted at them among other words, Mike spoke barely audible, "This can't be real..."

Adrian sat in his office, head in his hands trying to understand how everything went wrong. He blamed himself saying quietly how he should have stayed in isolation and just ruled peacefully and not change anything. Maybe Madeline was right maybe; maybe he was afraid of the old times. But before he could go any father into his dark thoughts Valkan entered with several soldiers, "Sir, the riots in Rector are growing worse and worse, more soldiers are on there way as we speak to deal with them however many commanders there are requesting air strikes and more... what should we do?"

Adrian looked at his general and smiled grimly, "I promised my people I would end these riots and I won't fail them. Authorize air strikes, only by fighter bombers I don't want anything else and only... and I mean only in areas of extreme fighting do not just carpet bomb the area."

The general nodded and order the soldiers to leave, "Sir foreign soldiers will be needed our troops just don't have the heart to kill their own people." Adrian nodded and told the General that he will try to rally support.

Message to the World
Dear fellow leaders, I bring you this letter only because this is an emergency within my nation. A long thought defeated army known as the ELRA has re emerged and have rallied hundreds of thousands of civilians to fight with them in the once glorious city of Rector. It has gone to hell, fires have erupted everywhere and people are screaming for their dying children.

I ask that if you will help that you send help quickly, our soldiers just don't have the heart to see such chaos, such destruction and they are having a hard time killing their own people even if their lives will end otherwise. Please...hurry.

Signed,
King Adrian the I

Capt. Sparrow was standing in the War Room, with the other officers. A man walked in, holding a sheaf of papers. "Sir, we have a message from..." He checked the name on the paper again. "... Eternus Lumen. They're requesting outside aid for the civil war that's about to break out, as their soldiers are... Not strong enough to fight their own? Anyways..." Pierce took the paper the man had handed him, and studied it. He looked up and spoke. "Do we have any units not engaged in some front?" "Yes sir," Sparrow said, black helmet tucked under his arm. "Blake and Dragoon Companies are open." "Aren't they Elementals?" "Yes," the captain said, his carefully choosing his words. "The finest in the 6th Corps." "Get them ready." "Roger." Sparrow replaced his helmet, and walked into the comm center.

The squad took cover for the hundredth time in less then fifteen minutes. Jake's body still lay in the street, a puddle of blood surrounding him. Michael was firing trying to keep the rioters and ELRA soldiers away from them and Jake's body. Then something was heard in the distance... the whine of helicopters.

Within seconds helicopters were swarming the area pinning fire down upon the now declared enemy forces. Missiles rocked the ground as fire rained down upon the rocking ground. They landed systematically and out came Eternus Lumen Sparti. They were the elite soldiers and they moved like it.

They cleared the area covering the squad with Michael and Jake's body. After clearing the area and taking only several hits and none had gone down, they motioned for the Sergeant to come forward with the squad which he did.
Sergeant spoke quickly, "Sir!" The Sparti Officer gave a full salute, "At ease soldier, we're here to rescue you."

The Sergeant looked amazed, "What...what do you mean?" The officer turned to his troops, "Load'em up... Sergeant the area has been declared an area of extreme fighting it's going to be attacked from air forces. Also hundreds of ELRA forces are swarming the area looking for prisoners to hold hostage, I'd advise you load up."

Sergeant Nickolson gave a salute, "We're out of here boys, load up double time!" The squad followed orders carrying Jake's blood stain body they boarded the helicopters heading back for Guardian Base. Michael could only stare back in horror as his home was being destroyed.
