Rising Factions in Commonwealth of Kamarok [Intro/Interest Thread]

Kamarok

"... with a funeral later today. In other news, three Kamarokian destroyers and two submarines have vanished somewhere in the Great Sea of Hyrule. For classified reasons they had been sent to investigate a series of islands in the north-east, but failed to report in. The Navy has no reason to suspect they were attacked, as these islands are unclaimed. Earlier this morning an International Request was dispatched asking other nations for imformation, but so far there have been no replies. Now live with Chuck Green, from the South Kamarok Docks..."

"Admiral Winchester, why were these vessels dispatched earlier today?"

"No comment, now get out of my way kid."

"So are any nations held suspect?"

"I said no comment, Security! Get this guy outta my face you useless f-"

The TV clicked off and Malcolm sat back in a comfortable chair, and his bodyguard handed him a glass half full of clear liquid. Though he knew nothing about the missing boats (and was very dissapointed with his contacts for it), he knew pretty much everything about Kamarok.

Malcolm Kreigor was the leader of the Kamarokian United Socialist Party, an ex-gunrunner who had learned to treasure the debts owed to him by the Mob. Not entirely above-board, but with untraceable criminal activities he had climbed the political ladder at an unprecidented pace and would soon be at the top rung.

However his methods would be a little unorthadox, for you see Kamarok is a Dictatorship, named a Commonwealth for the ease of the public (which gave rise to the joke "Emperor Irenard calls it a common-wealth 'cause both his pockets are full of our money."). The Kamarokian United Socialist Party were also euphamistically named, the KUSP being the largest underground network the nation had ever seen. Or ever not seen, they were unknown to all but the members.

The Admiral on the TV was on his side, that was for sure, and General Mires. A couple more high-ups in the army, two or three from the airforce. The police were the main problem; well funded, highly trained and almost mechanised in their efficiency. He would fight fire with fire, and train the elite of the elite. Once the Plan was underway, hundreds of pre-planted explosives would cripple his enemies and pave the way for a takeover.

He could guess the reaction of the Emperor, and could almost imagine him breathing a sigh of relief. No doubt his actions were anticipated; Kamarokian leaders had a habbit of arriving in a coup and leaving in a coffin.

Leaders of the World,
We are the Kamarokian United Socialist Party, a group of free-thinking and peaceful people stuck in this foul dictatorship. We would like you to join our cause, and play an important role in liberating Kamarok to make it a better place. We will emphasise on equality for the people, to give anyone a place to be free from oppression.

Signed, Malcolm Kreigor
President of the KUSP

As he dispatched the message a small buzz ran through him, the thrill of building an intricate machine and turning it on, with not much to do except watch its progress and correct its course. Soon the people would be free, and he would lead them through the years and make the best possible place for his heir to rule. Though still undecided, it would probably be his cousin Mark Kreigor.

His Bodyguard Gorge entered the room, a man with a shadowed past and uncertain future he had gained an underworld reputation as the equivalent of a spin doctor. He was a fixer, the kind that use semi-automatic weapons. He seldom spoke, but when he did it was for good reason.

Kreigor Industries had been put into overdrive, producing Arms at a rate that matched Haltech; the Nations leading manufacturer. Money was not an issue, he had made a killing with stocks in a detergent that peaked phenominally an hour before it sank, and was making steady progress with a software firm. Other methods kept the wheels moving, such as Kreigor Industries itself and several other companies. He also owned multiple fronts for Mob businesses, who were happy to pay a small percentage of their income.

He was having a private army trained and armed, almost a million men, with vehicles and the best equipment possible. He would pick up support as soon as he made his intentions clear, the populace were tired of being under the whimsical heel of Irenard.

"Who is this Malcom Kreigor?"

"Some Faction leader, Opposed to the way Kamarok is being run"

"Planning some sort of Coup?"

"Probably, The nation is small, Coups are not uncommon, infact no doubt that is how the current leader is in power"

"What are going to be our actions?"

"Nothing until this Free thinking Socialist party makes its move, then we will deploy elements of the Capitol Police, Supported by A division of Phase 4's"

"So at the moment, we are purley monitoring the situation"

"Yes, Then we shall make our move, but at the same time Strip parts of Kamarok bare using our Harvesters, we would be foolish not to take up this opportunity to create more weapons and Troops..."

"Very well.. I shall see to it that it is done..."

President Dares sat back in his chair and rubbed his face. His hand lingered, covering his eyes for a moment as he slipped deep into extended thought.

"Where do I know the name 'Kreigor'? I have a feeling it's cropped up before somewhere," mused the president, occupying his hand now with the business of pouring himself a large malt whiskey.

"Is it possible that you might have met him on a state visit?"

Dares was puzzled a moment, "I've never been to Kamarok. I'm not even sure where the hell it is."

"Hyrule, sir, to the east."

"Hmf. Never heard of it. Must be one of those piffling small countries you only read about when they've just had a drought or a famine or are attacking some other tiny province for no apparent reason."

"Actually, sir, the Commonwealth of Kamarok approaches the three-hundred million mark," his aide, Adam Smithski passed over a dossier, "Kamarok is huge, sir."

"And I've never heard of it," Dares glanced at the dossier, flipping through it until he found a map.

"Apparently not, sir."

"Hmm," Dares rolled the malt around his mouth before swallowing, "prepare a response... condemn the act of overthrowing err..." he flipped through the dossier again, "Irenard, but applaud the revolutionary spirit."

"As you wish, sir."

The office of Grizzly Industries owner, Mikael Grizzly. A large chamber, with gothic style windows and solid light-blue walls, located on the top of GrInd main skyscraper in Arieburg. Sitting in front of his large, wooden desk is Alexander Dragoon, the president of Drakvienne, in Drakvienne Armed Forces parade uniform, bearing the rank of field marshall.

"So, Alex, you say, that we should help KUSP, should the situation require intervention?"

"Yes Mika, as far as I'm concerned, thay have too little force to challenge the ruling party. If we help them..."

"...then they would succeed in the coups d'etat, I see. Provided we support them, WHAT we could possibly get from it?"

"The way I see it, the succesful KUSP would grant us access to Kamarok's resources and possibly technology..."

"Sounds tempting... I think Drakvienne should back up the revolution, should it happen. I'll personally make sure a team of GrInd SpecOps specialists will be ready to move at any signal, that the revolution has started..."

"I'll make the necessary arrangements, Mika. Now, if you excuse me..."

Alex rose and started to leave the room. He was halted by Grizzly.

"One thing - next time, contact me before arriving here, Alex. The press only waits for dirt to come up on GrInd."

"I'll remember about that"

Malcolm Kreigor was dressed for war. Kamarokian leaders hadn't lead their armies into battle for hundreds of years, and he'd be damned if that was going to change. He was in a generals uniforms, disposing of the contents of the pockets as Gorge disposed of the general. These uniforms could not be bought, and if he dispatched an enemy whilst aquiring one... all the better.

It was dark brown, with red and gold trim. Complete with cap and ceremonial sidearm. He couldn't ask for more, except time. He needed time to train his men, but someone had ratted on him. The government was gearing up for a crackdown, and Malcolm Kreigor was going to be at the recieving end.

Unless he pulled some strings, and fast. He used all the contacts that could do some good, and intercepted the order to strike as it was going up the increasingly corrupt chain of command. For a fee, a well respected general was willing to concentrate the action on the north. This would not sit well with the regional govenor there, who, unknown to Malcolm, was planning a coup of his own...

"Hang on..."

"Yes sir?" Smithski asked, poised at the doorway.

"Isn't Kamarok where that oaf Ruttle lives? Gregor Ruttle, with the annoying little twitch. We sold him some weapons once."

"Ah yes, sir," Smithski turned and approached the desk once again, "a consignment of KA-74 assault rifles as used by our guardsmen. I believe Ruttle is some kind of councilman or governor over there. Detestable little man as I recall, definitely some Unter genes in there somewhere."

Dares shivered, he couldn't stand the Untermensch who did little to support Noddestan's economy. Most of them were farmers or lived as nomads out in the nowhere lands and all of them sickened him. "Squat pygmy fella?"

"That's right sir."

"The only thing about that man I like is the fact that he cant add up to save his life. Prepare another consignment of weaponry and send it to Kreigor with my regards. Notify him of my opinions regarding Ruttle and make clear how useful an ally Noddestan would be to the new Kamarokian government."

Emperor James McCall read the call from some socialist party in some nation named Kamarok. His public approval rating was quite low at this time, as the imperialist and nationalist parties had been calling for expanding the Empire. Or at least the area of Fluffywuffy imperium (OOC: influence. Similar to the some Roman ideals). The Emperor saw this as the perfect situation to expand the imperium and appease the nationalists, as well as beating up on socialists.

The Emperor pressed a button at his desk, and the Defense Minister Secondo Campini appeared before him. "Secondo, make a statement saying that the Second Empire will defeat the evil socialist elements of Kamarok. And make sure that if these socialists seize power and we are forced to invade the country and put someone else in power that they are democratic. And that they are under our imperium. It will give us an edge in the next round of legislation, and I want that military expense bill to pass."

___________

Defense Minister Campini appeared before the cameras. He absolutely addored the media, as it made him look to all the common folk to be a type of hero. He was actually quite a terrible leader, but the people loved him and he had enough sense to recognise his failings and let the other officers take charge.

"Fluffywuffy has recieved a message from socialists in Kamarok. The Second Empire despises the socialists trying to subvert their legimate government, and the Second Empire is willing to support the legimate government in order to defeat the socialist rebels. However, the Second Empire also would like to see Kamarok take more steps toward democracy. At the very least, we would like to see Kamarok have free and fair elections to elect a legislative body to help keep the power divided."

With that short speech, Campini left. He later sent quiet messages to the Kamarok government stating that the Second Empire wouldn't support the government of Kamarok if it did not create a legislative branch, fairly elected or not. It at least gave the illusion of progress.

ooc: Fluffywuffy, why do you support democracy yet go to the aid of the dictator, when the socialists are a damn sight more democratic? (their elections every two years would allow the populace to pick which member of the KUSP was in charge, and every six years a new party could be voted in.)
Fluffywuffy
05-09-2005, 22:04
OOC: The Second Empire doesn't like socialists. It said stuff about democracy simply to convince people in Fluffywuffy that we are doing the people a service. We did just say that you can have some legislative branch that has no power, as even that will be seen as a step in the right direction in Fluffywuffy. Almost everything my nation does has some relation to voters at home.

May the court rise! An entire room seemed to move as hundreds of bodies were lifted of their chairs, all together saying the oldest sentences Camewot had in stock. We zullen den vrijnheid verdedign, den democratien verdedigen en ok Camewot verdedign! the senators shouted, and they all sat back down again. Joe Clijsters, a popular "man of the people" liberal politician took the floor and opened the meeting.

Goodday fellow collegues,

The Ministry of Defence today received a call from a country called Kamarok. It was from the underground socialist network, calling for help. They are currently being opressed by a dictator. That is all the information we has, I have received requests from the socialist party to get some troops on it. However, I advise you all, before you vote, that we need troops to supervise an enemy from the AMF - Praetonia war and for Kavlon. May I call John Verdonck, socialist spokesman for this matter.

A fat, short man stumbled of the stairs that lead to the speaking floor, his eyes were filled with fear. He had chosen for politics over 30 years ago, but never had he spoken for a full senate. The locations he liked to speak in were small, dark pubs. And that's how he got his votes, although never acomplishing anything. The party had decided it was time for him to do something.

Goodmorning fellow senators,

The Socialist Party has asked for me to open the voting, I will make this short.

He quickly typed in the answers the senate was asked, A: We shall help Kavlon and appoint Verdonck to be in charge of this matter. B: We shall help and appoint Clijsters for this matter. C: We shall not help.

John prayed to all the gods in the world that he would not be chosen, he wasn't able to be in charge of a war. He was furious about the Camewottian political system! The Minister of Defence had suggested a law now years and years ago about appointing politicians to be in charge of the war affairs. They would need to advice the Defence department wich troops they would get, then appoint a general to be in charge of them. In that way, the Minister would only need to worry about the security of the nation itself and controlling the way the army was run.

After a short 5 minute vote, where the members of the senatee were free to run from one side to the other in order to discuss the matter the room filled itself with the sound of approval.

64% of the senators had chosen for Clijsters, only a small 2% had voted against the war itself. The senators grinned, all Clijsters had to do was get some troops out of the department and appoint a general but he sure looked as though he would be able to mess it up. And then all they would do was point. And laugh.

Camp Mable, the next day.

Praetonian chicks are very cool
Praetonian chicks are very cool

We all like to **** a chick on the floor
We all like to fuck a chick on the floor

The camp leader grinned, a new recruit had actually dared to say the word 'fuck' in front of his platoon leader. He would never make career in the army, the camp leader was sure he would end up like Clijsters, or even worse: the guy who cleaned the toilets of slaves at the jungle. He noticed his watch was making a faint noise, and realised it was almost 10 AM. Clijsters would be arriving soon.

A helicopters soared through the camp, looking for the Helipad that was in the middle of it. Once on the ground, Clijsters fell out. He quickly helped himself up and cleaned the dust out of his new costume.

You want me to do WHAT? The camp leader was enjoying fooling around with him, I can't deliver you a Special Op division!
Um, maybe a small one? Please? It's for democracy!

Fortunately, Clijsters had somehow found the weak spot of every Camewottian, yes, Kamarok would get its troops. Very soon......

To whom this may concern, of Camewot,
The revolution is at hand, and the initial strike must be flawless. We would like your Special Forces to land and make base on the chain of islands south of the mainland, and to rondevous with our Special Forces on the night of the attack. From there they shall assault the Palace, and apprehend the dictator. During this assault, close to a million KUSP Soldiers will come out of hiding to secure the capital and fight of the government-controlled police. As it will take days, possibly weeks for the disorganised army to mobilise resistance will be minimal. I have no doubt that the populace will join with the KUSP, and so there should be very few civilian casualties. Co-ordinates for the rondevous are attatched. If you send any additional forces, we request that you either move them directly into the capital via arial methods, or to land at any beach on the south coast. All military forces operate in the North and West, and so this would be the weakpoint.

Thankyou for your assistance,

Malcolm Kreigor,
President of the KUSP

Malcolm was back in his office, and sent the message after reading it through. Gorge handed him a disk, which Malcolm inspected keenly.
"So this contains the latest designs?" He asked
"Yes, all variants."
"Including the weapons and research notes?"
"Of course, Sir."
"Excellent, have this copied twice then send one down to the lab to see what the techies think of it all, if they give the green light have it sent to both plants in the south, then have the other copy secured in the vault."
"On my way Sir"
"Wait, Gorge, make another copy and have that sent to my other vault... can't be too careful with these things."
"Good idea, Sir."
Gorge left to follow his instructions. He knew precisely what was on the disk, and how it would play such an important role in the shaping of the nation. The project detailed on the disk had begun a while ago, it had taken a while to collect all the necessary personel.

2nd Battlefleet of the Coast of Kamarok

The ammassed ships off the northern coast of Kamarok awaited for the order to begin the landing, Capitol Police troopers stood on the deck, looking out at the shoreline with indifferent eyes, they didn't care about the different political problems facing Kamarok, they were only here to do one thing, secure an area so the Harvesters could be brought in... anything else was just a minor inconvinience that the Corporation would have to deal with to ensure the harvesters could complete their operations before they were spotted or destroyed by the hostile forces that currently were begining to awake in Kamarok...

The sentry wiped his mouth with the back of his hand and reached for the tannoy, eyes fixed through the binoculars at the Kraven Corporation ships.

"Sergeant Miller, We have hostile ships to the north. Sir."
Are you sure their hostile? came the reply.
"Well, yeah, they got guns, an' theres lots 'a soldiers too."
Look, you stay there and keep reporting back, i'll go talk to the general about this.

The Kamarokian military was conscript based and conscript run, when their numbers dropped below 5% of the national population the recruitment vans would bring in everyone capable of holding a gun, but very few capable of hitting anything. Training was breif, the navy was a laughing stock and the air force was in shambles. Only a well-maintained police force stood a chance of lasting against invaders. That and absolutely brutal anti-air and trench networks had kept Kamarok safe for years. But they had barely seen modern conflict, or even conflict in general, at all.

You there Steve?
"Yeah, i'm here, whats the word?"
We're gonna open fire soon as we can, we can use the new silos.
"What you nukin' 'em, this close?"
No, the other silos, the smaller ones. Tell Harry to open them and fire at these co-ordinates;

Steve made a note of the co-ordinates on the back of his ration-book.

"Hey, Harry!" He yelled from his tower to the clump of tents below, "The Sarge wants you to open the little silos."
"I'm on it... Jeez" Came a reply.
"You'll need these!" Steve shouted as he threw the book to Harry.

The soldier walked to the hillside and pulled down a fake peice of cliff, uncovering the rusted metal doors of the control room. He keyed in the acess code, but no result.

Harry sighed, and opened his backpack. He unearthed a crowbar and in less than a minute the door was open. He blew the dust off the control pannel and keyed in another code.

All over the coast several silo doors opened, each one pointed at a 45 degree angle towards the sea. With a groaning roar the rockets left the silos to attack the Kraven Corporation ships. They would probably miss, but a good deal of shrapnel could be found in them. And at least they were cheap.

The Missiles streaked across the sky towards the kraven fleet

"Commander we have 3 incomming missiles"

"Activate the LMAMS"

"Understood"

the CP gunner tracking the missiles, pressed several buttons, lights flashed and several beeps signaled that the Ligh Mounted Anti Missile System (LMAMS) was online...

"2 minutes until impact"

"You may fire when ready"

the CP gunner activated the system, and the assault cannons of the LMAMS opened fire, the turret tracking the movment of the missiles as they approached the fleet... the cannon began to spin, picking up speed until the motors were a high pitched whine

the turret began to fire, spraying the first missile with lead, then quickly tracking to the second as the first was confirmed dead, its explosions raining down into the Great hyrulian sea..

The cannon errupted again, showering the target with lead, the second missile followed the same path as its predecessor, ending up as a ball of flame...

the 3rd missile was now too close to the fleet for the LMAMS to properly stop the missile without it raining shrapnel upon the fleet...

The Commanders just hoped that damage would be minimal...

the missile streaked over the first ship... leaving behind it a trail of smoke as its engines burnt their fuel... then suddenly there was a loud explosion as the missile hit the carrier in the side, the massive "Obilterator" pride of the 2nd battlefleet took the hit in its hull..

"Damage Report"

"Reports so far indicate nothing... although sector 5 is reporting a cracked bulkheads..."

"Hmmm, Check for biological weapons"

"None"

"Depleted uranium?"

"None"

"A conventional weapon"

"Correct" the CP Officer spoke...

"Very good"

The Cp Communications officer turned around to speak to the Commander...

"Commander, the other ships in the fleet are requesting Orders"

"Return Fire, Order the "Annihilator" To begin the barrage..."

"As you wish Commander"

The Annihilator... Desolator Class battleship

The quad 230 ETC cannons swivled round to face the shore line of Kamarok, there were 3 turrets of this design on the front, and two on the back each with four barrels... The auto loaders prepared the rounds, and claxons sounded signaling that the ship was about to fire....

Then the cool sound of the sea air was broken by the defening roar of ETC cannons errupting into life, bright muzzle flare giving life to the seemingly monsterous ship...

then as if joining in a grand symphony of destruction the other ships in the fleet began to hammer the coastline, their standard batteries opening up, sending vast shells screaming towards the coast line...

The Commander of the "Obliterator" watched the scene unfold from his Command deck....

We hit 'em?
"I dunno, these binoculars aint so good."
Thats a yes then, the general will be pleased. And I feel another promotion coming on. Can't wait to be a General, my ceremony will probably be next week.

The Kamarokian army would be better described as the biggest gang in Kamarok, they prized firepower over intelligence but rarely got either. With connections as shady as the higher-ups, it was a wonder the police hadn't got round to stamping them out yet. The Sergeants joy was short-lived, as hundreds of shells whistled and consequently exploded on the beach. Having no-one to gloat to, the Sergeant fell quiet and went to inform the General.

The entire area was decimated, craters big enough to lose a tank in would make transport impossible for the forseeable future. The fifty man garrison was wiped out, even their venerable tank was destroyed.

The two Generals were gutted at the reports of the attack.

"Well what do we do about that?"
"What can we do? Those were our last missiles!"
"Has The Supplier got anything for us?"
"Excellent idea, I'll contact them immediately!"

The Supplier was Haltech, the nations leading arms manufacture that was almost like another country, operating inside of Kamarok. Their private security force would topple even the army; it was a proven fact. When a government-approved law stated that all security personel must join the Army, the Haltech CEO made a public appearance and asked who the hell was going to force him. The Army backed down pretty quick, not only because they were vastly outmatched, but because a great deal of equipment came through Haltech, all of it superior to its main competitors Kreigor Industries.

"We give 'em three days they can find us an ICBM, but for now they just got guns and a few tanks. Some cruise missiles if we're lucky."
"It'll do, get Colonel Hampton to organise the... everything."
"On it."

The assault boats of the Capitol police bounced on the waves of the Hyrulian sea, the last of the shells from the bombardment had exploded along the shore line, and a quick VTOL attack craft fly by had confirmed the worst, Damage to the beach will make it impossible to deploy the new "Emperor Class" leman russ until the Pioneer teams had been ashore and attempt to repair the damage enough for them to make a landing... for now the shoreline would be held by the Capitol Police, and a brigade of Phase 4 Sardaukar...

Port of Kravonika

A large Super Tanker had just left port, inside were the components to construct one of the harvesters that the Corporation was planning to use on Kamarok, the ship made slow headway but would arrive at the destination soon enough... then the Corporation would reap the benefits of this venture...

The first of the assault boats smashed into the beach, the ramps smashing into the sand, as 15 black armoured Capitol Police troopers charged out onto the beach, and meeting no resistance...

The troopers ran up the beach, their advance made difficult by the craters made by the earlier shelling...

it took a matter of minutes for the first wave to hit the beach, quickly taking stock of the situation and fanning out into a protective wave, ensuring any sudden counter attacks would be spotted and met with stiff resistance...

The first of the assault boats pulled away, allowing for the second wave, they impacted into the beach and disgorged their cargo of troops, the Capitol Police following suit and securing and strengthening other areas of the beach, some troopers carried with them Automated Gun turrets, they set up assault cannons, autocannons and heavy bolters, as well as several mortar teams,

Once the second wave was in and ready, the Pioneer teams hit the beach, their converted Mrk I leman russ's bulldozing sand into the craters and clearing rusting and dirty tanks traps out of the way...

While the Pioneer team was working, the 3rd wave struck, it was the Phase 4's, they formed up on the beach, taking to marching, these were the new finished troopers of the Kraven Military and this...

Was their Trial By Fire...

"Wheel around our artillery division, get them firing on that beach immediately!"
"Sir, Yes, Sir." The marine barked.

This situation had called for the marines, the elites of the Kamarokian army. Rigorous training and decent weaponry made these men a good deal more competent than the conscripts, but that wasn't saying much at all. Artillery was something the army had to be proud of, and the new guns were almost revered. Large cannons capable of firing 600lbs+ shells all the way into international waters were set up and operational in minutes, now he would make his favourite choice of the day.

"Which shells Sir?" asked the marine.
"What have we got?" the general replies, though knowing the entire arsenal by heart.
"Conventional, Depleted Uranium, Anthrax Headed, Fraggers, Bouncers, Flamers, Shakers, Splitters, the delayed lot and a couple 'a experimental EMP head ones."
The general grinned, "Fire the EMPs at the big boats and whatever they've set up, with a mix of shakers, bouncers and fraggers onto the troops and other ships. Finish off with some solid DU at the ships and blanket the area with conventional. If anythings standing, hit 'em with splitters."
"Very good, Sir."
"Oh, and mix in some of those floaters, timed and proximity bastards with the rest, that should make 'em think twice about coming back."
"Excellent plan."

Meanwhile, the government crackdown was in full swing in the northern cities. The Police had been given explicit orders to shoot to kill, and no resourse was spared in the way of bullets and grenades. Anyone with a history of violent crime was taken out and executed, with known terrorists or revolutionaries eagerly hunted.

The people hid in their homes, locking the doors and barring the windows. They knew full well that the police would still get in, but it was criminals getting in that worried them. Hiding a criminal was a shootable offence as of midnight last night.

Ordinary looking men from the crowd began to swarm towards the Haltech Compound, knowing they would be safe with the man that had promised them a revolution. They were all supposed employees of Haltech, labeled as scientists and guards to disguise the meeting of almost three million soldiers in one place. The Compound was inevitably huge, with defence that absolutely made a mockery of what even the dictator had.

In less than four hours the men were armed and armoured, the ready-fuelled vehicles were given the go ahead and the force began to mobilise. These were the only obstacle for the KUSP in achieving power, but neither leader knew about the intened coup of the other. Both sides could topple the army and police force with ease, it was each other that they would come to fear.

Gordon Rankin was the government official in charge of the North, the CEO of Haltech and the Leader of the Democratic Rebellion. His private army was a guarded secret, but over the years people like Kreigor had built up enough information to be a threat. This is where his advisor came in, who's job it was to twist anything that was leaked to sound either innocent or insignificant. As a result, the nation viewed Gordon as an idealist with a few angry mobs on his side. This view was about to change.

Camewot had been scouting Kamarok for quite a day now, through satellite and by sending out squadrons of scouting planes. It wasn't a hard job, it only took 5 minutes to figure out that the Kamarokkian (?) army couldn't be called an army, and a small force landing on a southern beach probably would not be noticed, however, no chances had to be taken.

And so, on a sunny sonday morning, flight sergeant Jones made the last reconaissance trip he would make in the coming mission. He had seen enough, had collected the very last details for the good of the mission and flew home. Unlucky, there was a slight problem. The plane was not supplied good enough concerning gas and the sergeant needed to contact HQ. After being supplied a shorter route, he flew above the north of Kamarok. Quickly noticing the ships in front of a beach, he again made contact with HQ.

In the HQ itself, Clijsters was eating a club sandwich, happily debating with the chosen general over the price of pints that had rosen with 1 becker again for the 4th time in a row. Suddenly, a rather bony boy came running in with the message from Jones that navy ships were assaulting the north. Clijsters, quickly turning pale, gave a begging look towards General Breda, hoping that he could solve the sudden problem that had rosen. The general quickly came to a solution unthought of, "Leave it, our mission was to land in the south."

And so, only 1 hour later, a squadron of B-2's soared through Kamarokian airspace, with their guided missiles locked on the SAM's.

The shells began to rain down upon the beach head, Capitol Police troopers stood uncaring about the shells exploding in the sea, sending a shower of water and shrapnel flying around... a bull dozer exploded with a direct impact from a shell, other more bizzare shells started raining down, the biological ones having no effect on the CP troopers due to thier biowarfare scrubbers and their sealed suits, time delay shells landed with a dull thud before exploding a few minutes later, another bulldozer exploded, along with a group of capitol police who were thrown into the air like rag dolls... most of them stayed down, but one or two staggered to their feet, missing limbs, as one crawled out of the fresh crater missing is lower torso and legs...

before the bombardment began, a division of Phase 4's had advanced as a testing pushing deeper into the heart of kamarok, they advanced through villages and through farm land, securing locations and rounding up civilians, it wouldn't be long before the rest of the Kraven force arrived, which is when the Operation would begin in earnest, the Harvesters of the Corporation were on route and would take another few hours before the would arrive, and a further day for them to be constructed and begin the Harvesting of Kamaroks precious resources... as well as "Assimilating" civilians into the ranks of the Capitol Police...

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v399/HorusGodEmperor/Phase4s.jpg

But also through each town and village occupied, Propaganda was put up onto walls ensuring the civilians understood what was going on...

But in response to the Artillery shelling the beach, Vtol attack craft were dispatched to locate the source of the shelling and silence them, 3 wings of 4 craft each were sent out to seek and destroy, they were ordered not to return until their mission was complete.. the CP pilots would not fail..

President Nove of Very Small Island had asked his communications staff to give a message to the Kamarokian United Socialist Party

If you need assistance in ending the dictatorship in Kamarok then we would be glad to help. Our army was formed a short time ago when we freed our nation from our enemies and almost all the men in our army gained battle experience during the fight to free our country and our men would be a valuable asset to you organization. Our army is however still small and we can’t send a lot of men, we will send the a large part of army to aid you.

Here’s what we can spare if you need it:
600 men of the first special forces regiment
1500 Heavy infantry.
2000 Mechanized infantry.
60 Ratel infantry transport/support vehicles
30 Vyper self propelled guns
20 mobile anti-aircraft guns
50 men of the army medical core
50 men of the engineering core
500 tones of supplies for your men
30 MIG-29’s
30 Harriers
20 supply transport vehicles
This will all be transported in our 10 juggernaut transport planes

President of Very Small Island,
We thank you greatly for your support, please land all forces in the East when the revolution begins. As soon as we are in power we shall send you all the technology you need to give you the edge in battle where you have few soldiers. Your ships have full permission to destroy any Kamarokian military ships on sight, though encounters are unlikely as our navy is, to be honest, pathetic.

The best of luck with delivering your assistance,
Malcolm Kreigor

Malcolm went outside into the compount to inspect the latest Attack Helicopters that Kreigor Industries had produced. They were dark grey, chunky looking things with heavy armament and heavy armour. To compentate for its visibility, a long list of ECMs, warning systems and evasive measures had been installed. It could carry four fully armed men into battle, or their weight equivalent in special missiles. Manouverability was still an issue, but he had plenty of time to perfect that.

Meanwhile, Gordon Rankin was inspecting the very latest Haltech products. The peak of his research and testing. There was the new assault rifle; which used modified BlueTooth technology to give a HUD on the soldiers visor. All small arms used that technology, and could not be fired without a link. All his soldiers had chips implanted in their right shoulder, so that there was always a link even if they were not wearing the helmet. Security procedures like this had been the mainstay of his companies reign. He had recently secured a very large shipment of AK-47s, AK-74s and AK-74Us to arm the rebels that joined him.

Vehicles were finished; a new tank sporting two 180mm ECT guns and numerous autocannons, an APC which could drive over a landmine and come out smiling, a vehicle designed specifically for anti-personel use armed with flamethrowers and machine guns firing hollow-point rounds.

The peak of his efforts, however, were his Vertical Take-Off and Landing craft. Hailing the next generation in such vehicles; it used a three engines, each a combination of Ramjet and Quasiturbine technology. In two variants, Attack and Dropship, these would be essential in securing the capital and other large cities.

"Sir, we just intercepted this!" an Aide shouted.

He read Malcolms transmission to the president of Very Small Island, and smiled. His plans would need altering, slightly.

"Get Hawk, tell him he's going on holiday and he's going to take his favourite friend..." He said.

The B-2's approached their target very slowly, being carefull not to hit each other. The commander had given the order to fly close to each other, making it possible to not break radio silence. Finally, they approached their targets and each airplane flew towards a different direction. The man were trained, and so were the systems that were implented in their planes, to drop the bombs at the exact location. 30 seconds before the drop, radio silence was broken and the air was filled with pilots wishing each other luck in code language.

The Apaches approached exactly 1 minute behind the planes, packed with troopers and their equipments. Exactly 50 troopers had to be landed, wich needed 11 helicopters. F-16's soared besides them, constantly protecting the airspace where the helicopters were flying in. The men were supposed to land on a desert piece of beach and set up a first command post for the troops that were landing through sea, only 5 minutes behind them . It would be a dangerous operation.

The Air Force commander was sweating himself into dehydration, as his job covered not only the Air Force but the Anti-Air Force. The military had a great budget, good leadership and so had very publically splashed out on some long range anti air missile systems. The project stopped there, most of them were still in a warehouse in the North, but a few had been set up around the capital and in remote areas. However, these were seldom on and even more rarely manned, and it was rarer still that they would be turned on in working condition with a competent crew. In response to this dual attack from Camewot and the Kraven Corporation he had submitted his plan. When the laughter died down he submitted his resignation. Even so, it was carried out to the letter, the older more mobile systems would move to the north and protect their artillery, with the fixed positions pointing at the incoming bombers.

Years ago the navy had been a mighty force, but year after year it doubled its budget in expendiatures and eventually had to be restrained. During its peak, however, many experimental weapons had been produced and made, including several verticle torpedo tubes on the sea floor. Three of them were reportedly opperational, with the rest unloaded or simply vanished. Two tubes were just to the west the Kraven Corporation fleet, and fitted with carefully calculated parabolics were inside firing range.

Codes were given, orders were shouted and reshouted as te two tubes fired. One was rusted over, and blew itself to bits when the missile hit the door. The other one went on its predicted course, raising itself to two hundred feet before crasing down below. Enough to shatter the deck of any ship, it was primarily a disruptive terror weapon. The enemy would take precautions if they thought you could do it again.

6 Kraven Armoured APC's roared across the country side, their CP commanders were sat in the open Copulas, their optical mags scanning the land for hostiles...

the turret traversed as the gunners tracked for targets... the 8 wheeler APC tore up the fields beneath its massive offroading tires, as the company approached a Kreigor Industries Complex, a massive blot on the horizen, chimneys pouring thick black vapours into the atmosphere...

Minutes passed as the massive twin V8 engines of these armoured behemoths pushed them further and further towards their goal, then a few moments later, the Capitol Police driver hammered the engine more, as the bulldozer blade hit the wire mesh fence surrrounding the industrial plant, it crushed it easily, tearing it to bits beneath the massive wheels of the APC...

Security forces opened fire with small arms, the rounds hammering off the armoured hide of this metal beast, the CP commander in the coupla took hits, but his armour withstood, then the Turret machine gun opened fire, the heavy roar of fire, cutting down the poorly trained and poorly armoured security forces of Kreigor Industries...

The Other APC's rolled up, comming to a halt their twin V8 engines reving at a constant ticking over, the back door opened on each one simultaneousl... but instead of the usual contigent of Capitol Police, something else emerged...

Phase 4 Sardaukars

they stepped out of the APCs with a mechanical stride, their lazer targeter desigantors switching between possible targets, in their capable hands was a 12.5mm pulse carbine, it was too heavy for a normal human to use, and the kick back would cripple any other soldier, apart from the Phase 4's designed specificaly to wield this weapon... the weapon would fire a 5 round burst, pausing for coolant to react to the barrel, then reloading another 5 rounds and repeating the process, the rate of fire was slow, but with a staggard firing pattern, it made these soldiers and their weapons deadly in a fire fight, due to the constant barrage of lead...

Several lazer designators locked onto a security guard, he looked down with wide eyes as his chest was painted with triangular lazer symbol, before turning to a square then back to a triangle... then they opened fire.... the 12.5mm rounds hammered into his chest, tearing him apart, multiple rounds hititng him and removing his upper torso from his lower, both parts fell to the ground in a fountain of blood...

then another security guard was painted, by another squad... he too errupted in a shower of blood, his left arm completly obliterated, and his torso riddled with fist sized bullet holes...

the Phase 4's moved on, locking onto more targets, a security guard fired a couple of rounds into the chest of a Sardaukar near enough point blank... the Phase 4 didnt even register that he'd just been shot, there was a small trickle of blood from the wound, before it suddenly stopped bleeding... then the security guard's heart was torn out, by the free hand of a Phase 4...

Another security guard was painted, he stood on a gantry over some chemical tanks, he opened fire scoring a direct hit on the face of a Phase 4, its step was slighlty erratic, but it still stood.... the security guard noticed that the lazer target designator kept locking and unlocking onto him... until suddenly he errupted into a shower of blood as the Phase 4 continued its attack and opened fire, sweeping from left to right...

the first squad had reached one of the main doors into the lobby, the receptionsit had gotten up to run away, before her white blouse was covered in lazer marks, then quickly turned into a shower of blood and plaster as the rounds tore through her and hammered into the wall behind...

Security guards with SMG's took cover behin the reception, firing at these behemoths that strode through their rain of fire, literally unharmed...

these Guards were quickly silenced by the thumping of Pulse Carbines, that tore the desk to bits, then lacerated the Guards behind.... there were screams of agony as the guards legs were turned into an explosion of blood and gore....

Quickly and efficiently the outside complex had been seized... and now 3 of the squads began converging onto the staff inside.... Soon the Complex would by flying the Kraven Banner....

Location: Sky’s over East Kamarok

Commander Kyle Iman stood over one of the officers in the small communications room of their Juggernauts transport:

"We have word from the light infantry para-troopers sir, they have secured an area in the east and have prepared for the landing of our Juggernauts sir", said the officer as he listened to the messages coming over the radio.

"Good thing these planes can land nearly anywhere, have the first plane land now" replied Commander Iman

"Yes Sir"

A few minutes later the first plane stopped circling and descended to the landing site which had been prepared by a group of Para-troopers and engineers who had landed around 5 hour before the main force arrived, their Goliath transport was much smaller and faster than a Juggernaut.
The Juggernauts size meant they were difficult to pilot but the well trained aircrews were able to land on the landing strip without too much difficulty. Then after the area around the plane had been prepared the men and vehicles began to disembark.

"Get the men to start digging trenches and defenses to the west as soon as possible" Yelled one Officers as the Ratels were unloaded around him.

The first plane was unloaded in a few hours and by that time the 500 light infantry and the engineers had begun to fortify the area. After the first plane was totally unloaded and had taken off again the second came in for landing.
Commander Iman watched the operation from above.

" Ok get Malcolm Kreigor on the radio and tell him we've landed, as him what to do next. After that get back on to command back home, tell 'em to send the merchant ships to support the troops here." said Iman to the communications staff.

"Then send a message to The Kraven Corporation, we saw there ships on the way over here, I want to know what their doing in Kamarok,"

"Yes Sir" replied one of the officers as he began to type out the messages to Kamarok and The Kraven Corporation.

The guard ducked below the desk as plaster chipped off the walls all around him. The constant whine of the enemies guns was a hazard to his hearing, with all the lead in the air a serious hazard to his health. He reached for the radio and called the lab downstairs, screaming orders to bring everything they had up here right now. Down their they had a maintained force, closer to soldiers than these by-the-hour security dimwits. The lift pinged as a five man squad exited, firing with a variant of the latest kalashnikov. They kept up a cover of smoke and conventional grenades, with at least three of them firing at any one time.

Gordon smiled, and rang a certain number. It was the Haltech facility closest to the attack on Kreigor Industries.

"Hi, its me, dont talk just listen. I'm emailing something now, get your best XES-105 operator to memorise it and suit up, then have an attack VTOL drop him off at the nearest Kreigor facility. Have him wired to explode in the event of death, and give him every weapon... prototype or not... you have. Also, when was the last time we shipped cruise missiles to the military... excellent."

His smile widened and he left the office. The Dropships still needed his approval of their adjustments.

The Attack VTOL screamed into view, flying low to the ground and carrying its payload underneath it. The man was wearing the latest Military Grade Exoskeleton. The XES-105 was primarily armed with a G50 'Gauntlet' on the right hand that was a combination weapon with a flamethrower, dual autocannons, a silenced semi-automatic and a tesla coil. Also an L90 light missile rack was mounted on the left shoulder, with the left hand as normal for delicate operations. The left arm also had a extendable blade, with the right further dedicated to ranged combat by having the targeting systems on the shoulder.

The XES-105 was designed to give soldiers a realistic chance in battle against hundreds of foes, bringing the wearers height to just over three metres and minimum armour thickness to two inches. The thickest was six inches on the chest and back. The head was not a visor but more metal, his view provided by the six cameras on the front that acted as eyes. All of it was self powered and assisted the user with its own motors. Though it required extraordinary strength to operate, the latest Haltech drugs and fitness regimes had produced a suitable candidate.

He dropped down just outside the complex, and walked though the chain link fence. Sardaukar were all around the place, and he set to work defending his country.

Autocannons flung 20mm diameter rounds into the faces of the sardaukar, with the flamethrower following up with a blast of fire. The tesla coil lashed out at his enemies and the L90 fired rockets into the APCs. The second Gordon was in power the military budget would go through the roof, and these things would be mass-produced for the front-lines.
