Last week, the benevolent supermonopoly UziCorp has announced that Lord Ali Equanant, the Emperor's cousin, has been named the vice CEO of the company. Many people within Green Sun think that this will help; prices have been high lately and with Royalty so high in the company, prices will drop, but Parliment and the Council of theocrats call corruption on the Royal Family.
"This is only a scheme to get the Royal Family MORE money! We already pay for their expenses and the Palace! Now UziCorp wants to get closer to the Royal Family by putting one of theirs next in line! Next thing we know, General Homer will be training mercenaries fopr UziCorp to use to destroy foreign competition!" one Parliment member shouted in a Parliment meeting this morning.
"We do not believe that this is an attempt to give the Royal Family more power, but with Ali there, that's exactly what will happen. The constitution clearly states that no government official will try to make his or her own section more powerful than the other two. Ali must step down from this position," one Theocrat told GSCNN reporters this morning.
"Who cares?" one Red Homes resident, Patricia Manns, told a local news section, "The prices will go down now! Hell, if I had my own way, I'd hav ethe entire Royal Family rule the government! They're doing a better job than the other two!"
