The Fedala International Reporter is an institution which arose in the beginnings of the War of Golden Succession. It's goal was to provide the only news paper that would be exported internationally and guaranteed to citizens of all nations. Indeed, the FIR is available to all. Moreover, not only could it be read by all, but it was absolutely free, basing the income of the reporters on government salaries, and on very genorous donations from its costumers.

The FIR paper, one of the most unbiased papers in the world, ranges its stories from national events, which would constitute events within the Second Empire of the Golden Throne, to international events. Furthermore, it includes sporadic articles dealing with technology, including domestic and military, as well as weather, which deals with immediate natural disaters in nations, and politics, dealing with international alliances and conferences.

FIR has promised to continously provide its costumers with accurate and never ending information, which would be easy to access, and easy to read. Finally, the FIR has promised to keep its institution free.

Haven Enters the War of Golden Succession!

Mosnoi Bor, The Second Empire of the Golden Throne - In the morning hours of this day the Havenite-Macabee border was enflamed by the hammering of hundreds of anti-air artillery pieces, as well as a great deal of surface to air batteries. Never before had such a scene been witnessed within the borders of the Golden Throne, regardless of the numerous wars it has fought in. It has left people on both sides of the border perplexed and amazed. The thunder brought by the spectacular defense could be heard as far away as Atbarah, another city within Ruska, and the flashes witnessed by those staring from the depths of space.

However, more thought provoking still, was the sudden and mammoth aerial campaign unleashed by the Havenites, including a reported three thousand to four thousand missiles, and dozens of fighters and bombers. It seems as if a page had been ripped from the history books of the Second World War. Never had so many aircraft been seen in the sky before, and some people ask,"Where is our Luftwaffe."

The skies were speared by bright explosions, ranging from all different colors on the spectrum, and reported casualties are high. An official estimate from the center of radio detection and ranging in Mosnoi Bor, in a note to the headquarters in Fedala, claims a total of eight hundred personnel killed in action throughout the border, as well as about eleven thousand, including small time civilian operators, wounded in action. Moreover, it is now known that Mosnoi Bor has no standard RADAR stations in function throughout the provence, and that the entire war depends on the so called over-the-horizon RADAR stations elsewhere.

In a brief statement to the press over telephone the Advisor of War, Leonard Gerlich, has said,
The Emperor is sad to bring this news to the people of the Second Empire, who have stood by the side of Fedor and his grandfather throughout the past years, only to be given more war, that the Empire and Haven now find themselves in an official state of war. The defenses of the Empire are more than capable to slow down and stop the Havenite steamroller, and that the Empire's armies will not rest until their current administration was deposed and a more stable one put in its stead...

Regardless, many still worry over the potential dangers imposed by the invasion, and Mosnoi Bor, after the recent power failures due to the attack, has begun an official evacuation. Fedor I, currently leading a succesful withdrawl from Mons Dei, has ordered martial law within Mosnoi Bor to make sure the evacuation goes smoothly. There has been news of looting, but it hasn't been too widespread, and the police and civil guard have made clear that they will continue to do their job, regardless of Haven and their actions.

In the words of Fedor I,
This Empire has survived Jonach's unsteady reign, and it has brought others to their knees. We will not fall. God has forged us of steel, and given us hearts of velvet.

True enough, the Church of the Broken Dawn has condoned the recent attacks on the Empire, although it claims it will not meddle in the affairs of politics, although Fedor is the pontifex maximus. Nonetheless, there are no rumors on the possible calling on a crusade, which would be the first in the history of the Empire.

All that can be deducted now is that this war will be ruthless and no quarters shall be given to those who stand by as cowards. The same goes for those on the Macabee side, and those on the Havenite side. Both nations are powerful, both nations have armies that have stood the test of time, and both nations have the will to bring each other down by blows.

Drug Bust in Muesilania

Muesilania police and military have been reported the capture of seven important characters which have been the center of gravitation for drug activity within Muesilania. Four have been unmasked by the Muesilania government, while the indentities of the other three remain hidden.

Roy Townsend, age thirty-four, had been a suspect for two murders, and had also been charged of illegal firearms and drug trafficking. Gary Booth, twenty-seven, was wanted for several offenses against state laws, and Boris Toltsev, eighteen years old, was a recent juvee inmate. Their largest of the fish, Olga Vashnitsiv, twenty-three, was wanted for the murder of several police agents, and was to be tried for heading a global drugs operation, which the official Muesilanian report has dubbed as a 'drug empire'. The latter of the four was also reportedly wanted by Generic Empire police agents.

Newer reports have mounted even more charges against Roy Townsend, especially by the police agency of Jenrak,
I have had numerous encounters of Roy Townsend, and his crimes have always caused unprecedented repurcussions when I always try to apprehend him. To add to his crimes listed, he is no doubt guilty of trafficking drugs through Jenrak, and I wish him killed as slowly and painfully as possible. If need be, I can supply evidence to my accusations.

It is known that the arrest of Olga Vashnitsiv has been a breath of fresh air for the Second Empire of the Golden Throne, who also had her on their most wanted list, although she had never directly physically stepped into the Empire. Nonetheless, her drug ring has led to dozens of dead within the capital of Fedala, and several elsewhere, as well as the arrest of over two hundred of her small drug operators around the Empire.

In response to the events within Meusilania, Enoclastia has also made promises to aid in the drugwar, saying,
We too, plan to make arrests in our country as well, especially in the lawless Swampland State.

Finally, Meusilania has made a public message to the world in an attempt to bring justice to all those caught,

If any nation wants these people to be tried for any other offences, please inform the Muesilanian Government. These suspects will be tried in an international court.

International Patent Foundation Rises

Mauiwowee - In the most recent science and technology news Mauiwowee has founded an international patent organization which is designed to protect the inventions of seperate nations. The NSPO (NationStates Patent Office) has a set of rules and regulations which nations hoping to be patented have to analyze and follow, but it sets the opportunity for legal patents, and legal actions against those who copy inventions. The rules are as follows:


1. Your patent must be for a new technology or a new use of an old technology – generally new “items” won’t be accepted for patents (anyone can take a picture of a Jet from a DoD site and slap new stats on it and call it theirs here. That’s not patentable. However, if you describe your invention of a new form of jet propulsion and design for engines, you could patent that here and then slap those patented engines onto the plane you lifted from the DoD site – get it?) I’ll maintain a master list of recognized patents. To have your NS patent recognized, please use the following format – it will make it easier on those who read this thread and also easier to maintain the master list. If I have to figure it out, even if it is good, I might not put it on the list if you don’t post in the proper format.
2. NS patents give you exclusive rights in the NS world to decide what happens with the technology
3. Your patented technology must be at least theoretically possible and you must be prepared to support your claims with references to something I can find on the internet.
4. Fudging numbers on an existing technology to make it “better” and then claiming a patent won’t cut it. Finding a new and original use for it will.
5. There are two types of patents: “Use” patents and “Invention” patents. A ‘Use’ patent is granted when an existing item gets put to a new and creative use. An ‘Invention” patent is for totally new idea and technologies.
6. Pictures are always good
7. If you don’t think something should be patented because it is just too “far out” state why in reasonable terms and/or feel free to ignore it if you RP with the inventor. However, I’m god of this thread and if I say it’s ok, then it is! :P However, I will listen to reasoned criticism and may revoke a patent if convinced of my error in granting it to begin with.
8. No one makes a perfect invention, describe not only the good, but also the bad and the ugly of your invention – it will enhance your chances of being recognized.
9. Future Tech may be considered, but I’m really looking for modern and near future (say 2020) tech


The only hosted patent to day belongs to the founding nation, although each and every day there are more interested nations. The one currently up was a patent for advance plasma stealth, and there's an attempt to patent the Macabee Naram-Sin Short Range Strategical Bomber.

There is a certain amount of criticism, but most of it has been shot down as ignorant and rude. Regardless, it's obvious that the NSPO is going to go through rough times before it becomes a mainstay patent organization. Nonetheless, it's an extremely valuable idea.

Heavy Metal Band Releases Anti-Sarzonian Album

In the recent music scene there has been an upsurge of political bands centering their songs on the recent Gholgoth/OMP war, including one that has become one of the most successful heavy metal bands of the world, Machine Gun. The newest album, The System Has Failed, is full of both humorous and serious tunes, including such things as Sarzonian Idiot, The Legionnaire, and Run to the Hills (of Branwyn)".

Most of the songs have a lot to due with an increase in Generian nationalism, and consequent patriotism, since most of the songs depict the battles fought in the Inkanan Civil War. Others have much to do with current Sarzonian activities against Gholgoth.

In a recent article published by a Sarzonian newspaper, The System Has Failed debut as number six within the nation's charts. However, regardless of the album's popularity, President Mike Sarzo has repeatedly turned down requests to shut down the album's sales throughout the country, instead keeping Sarzonia's tradition of freedom of speech. However, Mr. Sarzo has called the album,'humorous' and 'off base'.

The Parliamentarian, a Praetorian based newspaper, has introduced the album as,
A bizarre album [that has] been released in music shops across the nation critising the Sarzonian government of corruption and brutality and the Praetonian government of various vicious acts against unspecified civilians.

However, Praetonia has also decided not to ban the album, or the band. Even Gyrobot has called the album and the band "flawed".

Nonetheless, Big Dick Records based in the Borman Empire has bought two billion albums for sales within that country - a record holder. Moreover, due to the high success, regardless of the criticism, the band is to begin their Freedom Tour soon. When they reach Fedala it is expected to bring in attendance a full one million observers in the gigantic Imperial Stadium.

It is easy to say that Machine Gun has hit it big time.

Credonian President on Relations Tour

Credonia has always been an internationally oriented nation. Her legacy has been the creation of the first IADF, and aiding to rebuild what is known as the third IADF, which survives to this day. Now, Credonian President Kaimoni Sutton has announced that he is embarking on a world tour to visit other head of states. The entire tour is to last two months long, and already the list of nations to visit is growing.

The first stop in the tour is to be King Adrian I of Eternus Luminati, and then Kroen van Luxembourg. Sutton's third stop has been pinpointed as Halberdgardia, to visit President Kanos. The fourth stop is to be Pele Kune in Macronesia, and the fifth President Berger of Aequatio. For now the final destination is to be Independent Hitmen and President Anderson. Nonetheless, it is expected that this list will be multiplying, in the very least, by two, and that Sutton's world tour is to be one of the largest in the presidential history of Credonia.

However, there has been some criticism that Sutton is focusing on the small nations, save Independent Hitment and Aequatio, and that he should instead be directing his efforts to open relations with the more celebrated nations of Earth.

Regardless, Sutton's visits will be of extreme interest to all, especiall those within the IADF, who will be following the tour closely. The IADF has not met for various years and there have been talks that it is fast becoming largely obsolete. It is hoped that Sutton's tour will bring more interest to prospective members of the IADF.

The Imperial Union of The Island of Rose Declared War on Ankhmet!

Recently the Empire of Ankhmet released a doctrine in which it considered every smaller nation a provence of its Empire. It is to say, it had united those smaller through it by words. Regardless of the intentions, the doctrine was dismissed as nieve and incompatible with modern world politics, and has been largely ignored. Nonetheless, recent outbreaks of war have begun, the most grave of all being that of The Island of Rose.

In a recent televised decleration, President Frederick von Hattensberg declared that 'the entire military might of the Imperial Union, in specifically the Imperial Republic of The Island of Rose, is to be mobilized. The entire Armada except for the Defence Fleet. The entire Army except for a few divisions. My friends, we are declaring war on Ankhmet. This is not a war of occupation, this is a war of destruction, a war against idiocy, because only an idiot can claim to rule the world.'

Kriegzimmer, in response, declared its right to free trade within all parties, regardless of the political specturm, and the Golden Throne declared its neutrality. It is thought that the Anti-Ankhmet League, created by Leafistan to protect smaller nations of blatant imperialism, will also most likely step into the conflict to make sure that Ankhmet can no longer redicule world politics. Ankhmet's old allies, the UNA, have expelled him from the alliance, and there are relatively few that are stepping in to protect the nation. It seems as if the skies grow dark for Ankhmet.

]The Doctrine Itself

The Leadership of the Holy Imperium and WNI Province of Ankhmet is proud to announce the New Doctrine. (Executive Order 23342)

The New Doctrine is the Ankhmeti law which states that:

----OUTSIDE CLAUSES----

These clauses take effect outside the Home Province of Ankhmet.

1)The Imperium of Ankhmet shall no longer recognise the sovereignty of any nation smaller than Ankhmet.

2)The Imperium of Ankhmet will treat all nations smaller than Ankhmet as Provinces of the Imperium, wether or not they accept it.

3)As such, the Ankhmeti Imperium reserves the right to send troops into any such nation, in an effort to keep the peace in the Provinces of the imperium.

4)The Imperium of Ankhmet reserves the right to demand tribute from any Province of the Imperium up to $1Bn.

5)The Imperium of Ankhmet reserves the right to make the laws in any Province of the Imperium, and the right to invade any Province which refuses to put these laws into effect. (This clause can only be used upon an executive order)

----PROVINCIAL CLAUSES----

These clauses take effect in any Province directly under the control of the Ankhmeti military.

1)The WNI Corporate Military Leadership outranks the leadership of the Ankhmeti State Guard, and all orders from them must be followed.

2)The established of a 'Federal Emergency Management Agency' is to be put into effect in all Provinces of the Empire.

FEMA agents shall have the authority to commandeer any vehicle they see fit.
FEMA shall produce a list of those within the Imperium who will be transported to secure camps upon the outset of a natural disaster, nuclear attacks, widespread looting or natural disaster.
FEMA reserves the right to execute any person on that list at any time.
FEMA has the authority to commandeer all forms of transport at any time.
FEMA has the authority to control any natural resource or food source, including but not limited to: oil refineries, mines of any kind, farms of any kind, ports of any kind, fishing boats of any kind, hunting lodges of any kind.
FEMA reserves the authority to imprison any citizen for any length of time, without charge.
FEMA has the authority to execute any citizen deemed to be any of (but not limited to) the following: a terrorist, a dissident, a looter, a rioter, a criminal, a drug user, a drug dealer.
FEMA can only utilise these powers after a special Executive Order or any of the natural or unnatrual disasters already mentioned.
FEMA shall be headed for life by Johan Weishaupt, who shall only be succeeded upon his death, to be succeeded by the next of the Weishaupt line.


----UNIVERSAL CLAUSES----

1)The position of Chancellor shall be extended from 3 terms to a lifetime position. The current incumbent shall be succeeded by the next of their family line.

2)The Chancellor may disband the Senate at any time, for any length of time.



This Doctrine has been introduced by Executive order, and will remain in effect in perpetuity, and may not be stricken from the Ancient Statute Books of Ankhmet.

First International Futsal Tournament - The Golden Cup - Beginning

FEDALA, Second Empire of the Golden Throne - It has been released that the first annual IFS tournament (International Futsal Soccer) is beginning to take applicants for national teams to participate within it. In so far, those interested are Guffingford, Sarzonia and, of course, the Empire with their alledgly best team in the world, although they have no evidence to support that.

Regardless, the prospect for a great, and wide, tournament is large, and with these three teams alone it seems that some of the greatest soccer teams in the world will participate. The tournament itself is to be held within the Second Empire, although unfortunately it's to be held right after the conclusion of the War of Golden Succession. However, the Imperial Stadiums of Fedala (Vicente Calderon), Macabea (Euskadi), Soborguntia (Jack Murphy) and Targul Frumos (Qualcomm) are in perfect conditions, and thus will be used to hose the games.

Sponsors include Axe, the bodyspray deoderant, and Portland Iron Works, a naval industry belonging to Sarzonia. It's expected that the Imperial economy is to skyrocket during and after the tournament from the sponsors and from increased tourism, which will do a great deal of improvement to the national economy right after the huge War of Golden Succession.

It's expected to be a blast of a game.

Kriegzimmer United With Greater Electric Industries

Beda Fromm, the Empire - In an epic deal Kriegzimmer Conglomerate, long owner of all Imperial armament companies, gobbled up Greater Electric Industries [GEI], provider of ten percent of the Empire's electrictal power needs, as well as twenty-eight percent of her appliance needs. The deal was struck at two hundred billion Reichmarks, which was paid in full to the CEO and Owner of GEI, Albrecht Schloster. The union has faced terrible criticisms and has already had dire consequences for several workers of the Empire.

Indeed, economists have hailed the deal as another case of Dietrich Harbinger's attempt to monopolize several industries. Harbinger, owner of Kriegzimmer [although not CEO], forged Kriegzimmer and he himself crafted the monopolization of the armament industries through wit and quick thinking. By 2011 he had basically forced other companies to join under his wing because of his ability to steal costumers. Now, many fear that Harbinger is attempting to monopolize the electrical industry.

Countering the accusations Harbinger claims,
I don't understand why someone would want to accuse me of that. Even by monopolizing the armament industries there remains the fact that there are dozens of foreign exporters which cheaper prices. It' just a matter of quality, and in no way, shape or form am I attempting to gain full control of either industry. The claims are simply ludicrous.

Nonetheless, the effects of the union could be felt throughout the Empire within two days, as over six thousand workers lost their jobs, with another projected sixty thousand losing them by next year. The administrational welfare has been hard put to recreate those jobs in another market, but can only promise to have forty thousand jobs by the time the job loss projection had been finalized. Some workers have gone picketing, blaming the throne for not putting down the monopolization of goods as it had promised to do.

It is expected that Dienstan General Electric [DGE] takes over some six percent of GEIs market, and then more if DGE continues to expand. Most economist expect this to happen, as one says,
I don't believe there's a chance that Harbinger can buy off DGE, the single largest electrical company in the Empire. This is simply because Fedor offers them more money per annum than Harbinger can think of. This will very easy become an economic war, and it will be Harbinger's money against that of the Empire. Frankly, how could the latter lose?

However, no one can really say what would happen, as what Fedor once protected against happens before his very eyes.
