Kawau
02-09-2005, 03:08
The scene was an explosion of emotion, radiating both from the focal point of attention and the great circle of humanity which surrounded this figure of which the rest of the people seemed to be making every effort to reach out, to touch the figure, the man before them. As he raised his voice in elation, his hands emphatically moving, it sent a definable ripple through the crowd. Its was a most unusual sight, of such devotion to a single man. The images one can create to maintain this illusion. It was damn near Orwellian. He cried out in the tongue that came to all ears of the strangely tied group around him, of seemingly many different ethnicities with the same purpose.
"And in this time, we are challenged by the will of those who seek to break the unity. Those who would seek conflict for the sole reason of self-definition to create ultimate instability, and to create a more dangerous world for us, and our generations that we shall bear. It is this, which we must oppose. It is our sole duty as citizens to create this resistence to peace. It is our duty to educate and bring this peace abroad. This is the peace we share in our national community. And we must bring it out for the greater world to share.
Our mission, as a people of this island, as a people of this Macronesia, as a people of this world, is to forever be messengers of peace. We must unite the world, it is our mandate, for we represent the eventual end of this world as we know it. We are the birth of a world that is not divided by the vernacular, the nationalist, and the sectarian. We have eliminated the dangers of language, of ethnicity, of partisanship, in the name of peace, and we have achieved a peace internal to our nation. It are these wrongs that we must seek to prevent across borders, because it is a moral and ethical responsibility as an enlightened people to bring this to the world stage.
Thus, this Kawau of Macronesia will finally enter as a major player in global politics. We are remarkable not because of great technological, economic, or military poer. Our poer comes directly from each people, all of humankind, into the consolidated culture that is Kawau. That is the world. We will bring ourselves to this peaceful revolution of words and of action, in order to bring equality, liberty, justice, and peace to all."
There was an eruption as the circle around the man came upon him, almost ina euphoric haze as the scene melted away into pure eglitarian chaos. It was quite astounding, to say the least.

International Announcement from the Most Serene Republic
Regarding Entry Into Global Politics
As global citizens, we cannot much longer deny our obligation and privilege of being a member of global politics. While of course a humble nation that isj ust getting itself up by its bootstraps can be taken lightly by the much more poerful nations, the Most Serene Republic sees an opportunity after it reached a milestone in population (approximating 5 million in the entire Kawau island chain) to begin a new policy of global recognition of our nation. We seek to broaden our horizons in both our internal and external mandate of peace for all humans.
The Most Serene Republic sits at a point in the orld where all cultures are amalgrated towards one, in which diversity is celebrating in every point of life, and unity is prized from our communitarian social perspective. Accepting all peoples, we have created a unique cultural background which finds itself influenced from all ethnic backgrounds and ties. Indeed, we have further taken an internationalist stance, treating all cultures equal to one another and presenting an alternative to the vernacular systems by incorporating the use of the language of Esperanto in legal and public means, promoting its use but not forcing it. All religions are heldi n high regard here in Kawau, spirituality is prized and promoted. Kawau has ound itself, because of its internationalist outlook, as a focal point of the Baha'i faith, as well as other internationalist religions such as Islam and Buddhism.
The political system, which is almost synonomous with our economic system, is something we hold very dear and private in this Most Serene Republic. We hold liberty and equality in all things sacroscant, and we wish to inform that we are not in the intention of covering anything up. Rather, to explain the intricate and participatory systems in both economics and politics we have devloped as a national community are not easily defined, being, like our cultural heritage, indeed a melting pot of ideas unified by egalitarianism and communtarian social thought.
While we have done our best to inform the greater world about our Most Serene Republic, we must address the greater matter at hand. We are a new, developing nation that is very interested at involving itself fully in global politics, even at such an early age. We are looking to open relations where none had been opened before, economic opportunities, and also permenant treatyships and organizations in which we may participate in our humanist cause to better the human race.
We leave you with this message. For a greater Macronesia, for a greater world.
