The Velocity Isolation of Dri Vel would like to announce that for the first time it will be offering a limited number of light ships for sale to the intergalactic comunity.
All light ships are hand built and are under Guarante for 10 years.

The two models that will be for sale are the V-89 Catalyst and the smaller
V-45 Hawk. Both light ships are outfitted with cloaking devices and two anit-attack lasers as safty devices.

These two models are NOT built for combat , they are built for their speed, if you are in need of combat vehicles please look elcewhere.

The Velocity Isolation will not sell to nations that it considers a threat.

About- these ship are constructed out of catonized carbon fiber and the wings are made out of elcetron plaited carbon fibers. The ships flex allowing quick and easy maneuverability. The wing construction allows these ships to be powered by the use of soler sailing in conjunction with two ionic propulsion rockets. The V-45 Hawk is also outfited with a Hydrogen turbo.
The ionic propulsion rockets each put out just over 3,000 pounds of thrust, more than enough to get these ships moving as fact as you want.
The hydrogen turbo adds aother 700 pounds of thrust. These ships are perfect for dignitatrys and ambasidors who wish for a faster and smother way arround the universe.

this is my first attempt at this so any help or ideas would be nice....

[OOC: A laundry list of things. With regards to performance, what counts is not top speed but acceleration, as rated top speeds are useless in space. How, precisely, do they turn; do they use rocket motors or gravimetric propulsion? At what rate can they pitch, yaw, and roll? What powers these ships? Heck, for that matter, what's their mass in the first place?

Just some things to take into consideration to better flesh out your designs.]

We'll take all of them.

We will dissasemble them and redesign them, and make a very effective atmosphereic Fighter/Bomber. We believe cloaking technology is possible to utilize on these.

The end results will be returned.

You know, there's a small problem with the specs. That is, the unit that you use: torque.

Torque has to do with force and its relation to rotation, and isn't used to define how much thrust is developed by your engines.

My second thing is more of a nit-pick. To be used as solar sails, those wings are going to have to be very strong, large, and light... And not made out of copper. Try some other materials. Carbon-fiber mesh is one example of a viable material.

Your specs also list Mach speeds... Your acceleration figures are enough. Since this craft isn't supposed to go into the atmosphere anyway, Mach numbers aren't appropriate.

Pounds isn't that useful unless you say what gravity you're using to determine it's weight. Mass is a universal as it stays the same no matter where you measure it. (Almost.)

There's some other little things, and what not, but I'll let you consider and respond to the above first.

EDIT: Wait, are these things supposed to be able to go into the atmosphere? If they are, disregard my "Mach" comment.

The Velocity Isolation thanks you for you offer
the only conditions will be that the ships retain there origenal speed capibilitys and size, if you are able to work with these requirerment you are welcome to work with the ships. Also the engins, booters, and wings are under patent, plesea do not hijack our tecnology. One more thing if you do take this job the Velocity Isolation would like you to know that we will then keep the ships for the use of Dri Vels Army and they will not be avalible for re sale. we wish you good luck on the redesign
thanks again

thanks for the advice/help...the ships are made for space travel and for use on planets....so yes they do travel in and out of the atmosphere.
